  1. Oh we are inn a mess aren’t we? Just look at the drinker at the top meme this morning then look at the second one? The whole thing makes me feel ill at the very thought, and then for luxflakes to go on to appoint that horse face, ruiner of New Zealand to a role just sends me to the edge of reality. I do have to ask what the FUCK is wrong with all these people who voted them in?
Luxflakes would be the most pathetic creature to ever sit in the financial gimme swamp. People prior to the election said to me oh give him a chance………….. and this is the sort of thing that he does?
I am very glad that the 3 or 14 or how ever many waters has been repealed, the maori elite will be very unhappy about that, which was one of their biggest cons, and for anyone to think it wasn’t is just about as mad/sad as luxflakes appointing dear leader to a roll at I am certain huge $$$$$$$$$$$$$.
Have a good day people and be safe, this boiling of earth is bound to affect the natives.////////////

  2. If you think that claims that beaches will be closed by Maori won’t come true, well we will see.

If you think Rivers in New Zealand won’t be closed for sole use by Maori will come true, well here is the evidence. Maori in conjunction with DOC have not closed small sections of the Wanganui River but virtually the whole navigable River from Taumarunui to Wanganui. I note Maori are boasting about the closure and their selfish attitude to other River users:

“From the top reaches to the bottom, we were able to come down the awa without anybody else being on the water at the same time as us,” Tuaine said.”

I see they are also using tradition plastic Waka. Fucking hypocrites.

But really the blame for excluding the use of this River from all New Zealanders is National and their arrogant Treaty Settlements Minister, Christopher Finlayson.

  3. Earlier today, Parliament voted to repeal Nanaia Mahuta’s divisive Water Service Entities Act – a historic moment for New Zealanders and a huge moment in our biggest campaign ever!

Mahuta tried absolutely everything to lock-in her undemocratic piece of legislation. The last Government spent millions bribing councils into supporting the reforms and hired hundreds of back-office pen-pushers within the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) to try and contractually screw the scrum and make this repeal impossible.

Chris Hipkins even tried to slap a new name on the same co-governed model and hoped Kiwis wouldn’t notice!
Now we must ensure the replacement isn’t just Three Waters 2.0.

Let’s not kid ourselves, this fight is not yet over.

We all see the way our media is dominated by those who believe big, dumb, centralised, and co-governed public services are the way to go. It’s up to us at the Taxpayers’ Union to stand up to these special interests – and don’t think they’ve given up!

The Wellington bureaucratic blob are doing everything in their power to influence the new Government and ensure that the replacement to Three Waters still hands over effective control to unaccountable bureaucrats.

You might recall in December, the bureaucrats at DIA were trying every trick in the book to weave a web around the Three Waters legislation to make it impossible to get rid of. There’s no doubt that given a second chance, they will do whatever they can to push their own agenda and seize local control.

Among the officials tasked with advising the new Minister on the replacement to Three Waters are some of the very officials who tried to undermine efforts to oppose Nanaia Mahuta’s model.
We cannot allow defeat to be snatched from the jaws of victory 🥊

Don’t get me wrong, I like Simeon Brown, and think he has what it takes to deliver as the new Minister for Local Government. But even delivering on National’s own policy in this area will be difficult when those around him do not have his (or ratepayers’) interests at heart. We can’t down tools quite yet.

We thought National’s guarantees about tax policy were cast iron, but now we are learning that after just a few short months in power, the Government is shepherding through Labour’s 39% Trust Tax-grab, and Labour’s so-called ‘App Tax’ on Uber drivers and holiday accommodation providers (among others).

From the latest Taxpayers Union Newsletter.

The arseholes in wellingtom never stop and these ministers should replace them quick smart.
The public service is not a public service but an instrument for control.

  4. Tauranga was saddled with commisioners for no better reason then a group of developers and 10b couldn’t get their own way with things and the councillors were mostly bloody hopless. One lasted just a few months.
( as a matter of interest these commissioners have done nothing that the council had planned in the way of infrastructure but have managed to spend up large and are about to undemcratically use the 10yr plane to saddle us with about 4.1 billion dollars in debt. Debt for fancy shit we really don’t need for 150k population. Delusions of grandeur which I believe is a mental illness.

Wellington on the other hand has huge problems its denies and it really does not anne tolley to bulldoze the apparachicks and Greens who run the place.
Will Simeon have the necessary to toss them toss pots. He might but hs boss won’t.

They need a Wayne Brown but of course the Welly Woods couldn’t put up with that, even if you could find one there.

  5. Yep, yep, that’s exactly what it is…People have to help themselves //

    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2024/02/unaffordable-housing-wage-inequality-key-issues-facing-nz-in-state-of-the-nation-2024-report.html
Child poverty and public housing has improved, but fast-rising rents and wage inequality remain two key issues facing people in Aotearoa.

The State of the Nation 2024 report has been released labelling the housing market and wage inequality as two of the biggest issues facing New Zealanders.

The ‘Ngā Tukunga Iho/The Things We Inherit’ report was published by The Salvation Army/Te Ope Whakaora on Thursday.

    It looks at five areas:

    Children and youth
    Housing
    Crime and punishment
    Social hazards
    Work and incomes.

It’s also about how the Government’s actions today will affect future generations, he said.

Some metrics saw improvement including lower drug consumption (including alcohol) as well as a drop in reimprisonment.

But most went backwards, such as food insecurity, violent crime, and education outcomes.

    • I found it interesting in that the naming of a foreign Country only appeared once in the written report as shown i.e, “In addition, the surge in net migration to Aotearoa across 2023 came at a cost, pushing up rents and crowding the labour market.” but in the paper article right under the photo of a adult sleeping on a park bench it has ” Child poverty and public housing has improved, but fast-rising rents and wage inequality remain two key issues facing people in Aotearoa.”

The other day someone wrote how a friend in television said how the use of Maori was only on screen and never around off air in the building. It really is pissing me off these white people starting everything in a non English language particularly when they are speaking to a English speaking audience. They are just rude and ignorant in my view.

I will go back to 1960 during the All Black (non Maori) tour of South Africa. At the dinner after a game a South African gave a speech completely in Africans to those present. Tom Pearce, the Manager stood up and replied completely using New Zealand Maori place names and any other Maori words he knew. The speaking of Africans to the All Blacks was never repeated.
It has become particularly bad with the sports commentary teams both with the current cricket and Sky rugby.

        • 93 year olds.
My mates mother is in hospital and his father is at home.
They have been good to me over the years – since Uni- so I said I would call in and do some chores for him. Hang out washing, water garden etc.
I came inside about 2.45 and he had the teevee on’ loud as’ watching Les Akl Blues play someone, somewhere; yesterday.

I think the wife in hospital has given him the desire to party like a 16 year old with the parents away. Turn up the teevee, leave dishes all over the show ….

So yeah, 93 year olds do watch thugerby, loud, at 3pm

          I left at that point.
          My work was done.

Was winding up an Indian the other day over cricket.
          its NOT sport.
There are three people out of 22 doing anything at any time.
Half of them are literally sitting inside.

Where one side is praying to Vishnu for rain for 3 days of a 5 day test so they can score a ‘draw’ rather than a loss.

“Janet is a dedicated real estate agent with more than 30 years experience, but the Real Estate Authority is threatening to cancel her licence for five years. Why? Because Janet is taking a principled stance in refusing to complete an online training course instructing real estate agents on te reo Māori, tikanga, and the Treaty of Waitangi.

…Her refusal is based on concerns that an industry body can force members to complete training on a subject only very peripherally connected to their job under threat of losing their right to work.

…Janet is seeking to challenge REA’s power to impose compulsory courses via a judicial review in the High Court. ”

      • Tom Pearce, in a speech at Potchefstroom, started at Remuera and went down the main trunk line mentioning every station with a Maori name. When he got to Paekakariki the team burst out in very loud applause. The local Japies thought it must have been a memorable speech. When the next day’s Johannesburg Star pointed out the silliness of it the Japies were a bit miffed.

During check-in at airport for a non-stop long-haul flight, the airline staff were very apologetic to the husband and said:
“I am sorry sir, the flight is really full today. We couldn’t allot you and your wife adjascent seats. Your seat number is 14A and your wife is in 42H.”
Husband: “Oh, thanks! Do I have to pay anything extra to you for this favour?”
Staff: “No sir, your wife has already paid!”

  7. I was having a nightmare where I found myself nude in bed, and I was looking at a mirror on the ceiling and I discovered that I am a black and I’m circumcised. Quickly I sat up, found my pants and looked in the pockets to find my driver’s licence photo and it was that same colour, black.

I felt myself being very depressed, downcast, sitting in a chair. But it’s a wheelchair. That means, of course, besides being black and Jewish, I’m also disabled. I said to myself, aloud “This is impossible! It’s impossible that I should be black and Jewish and disabled”.

“It’s the pure and holy truth,” whispers someone from behind me. I turn around, and it’s my boyfriend. Just what I needed. I am a homosexual and on top of that, with a Welsh boyfriend.
Oh my God. Black, Jewish, disabled, gay with a Welsh boyfriend and HIV-positive.

Desperate, I begin to shout, cry, pull my hair, and oh no, I’m bald.
The telephone rings. it’s my brother. He is saying, ‘Since Mum and Dad died the only thing you do is hang out, take drugs, and laze around all day doing nothing. Get a job you worthless arsehole’
Mum? Dad? Nooooo … Now I’m also an unemployed orphan. I try to explain to my brother how hard it is to find a job when you are black, Jewish, disabled, gay with a Welsh boyfriend, are a drug addict, HIV positive, bald, and an orphan, but he doesn’t get it.

Frustrated, I hang up. With tears in my eyes, I go to the window to look out. I see I live in the state house area of Highbury . There is trash everywhere.
Besides being black, Jewish, disabled, a fairy with a Welsh boyfriend, a drug addict, HIV positive, bald, orphaned, unemployed, I live in a crappy neighbourhood.

At that very moment my boyfriend approaches and says to me, ‘Sweetie pie, my love, my little black heartthrob, it’s time to go. The Hurricanes game starts in an hour.’

Say it isn’t so!!! I can handle being a black, disabled, drug-addicted, Jewish homosexual who is HIV positive, bald, orphaned, unemployed, lives in a slum, and has a Welsh boyfriend. But please don’t tell me I support the Hurricanes.

    • Feeding the Maori crocodile in the hope it will bite them last. Luxon has only one testicle, he will never save anyone.

This is repeated worldwide. Like how America is the biggest funder of Israel. Israel, with more billionaires, heads of companies, banks, blackrocks, has more money than it knows what to do with, gets the biggest welfare check from America. Thats crazy! AIPAC gets a big chunk of that funding and it sends it straight back into American political parties, both Democrat and RINO. That money funds the mass immigration. Ukraine another version of this. The granting of billions to Ukraine, means more money for the grantees. It’s shocking how blatant it all is. Blackmail is where it is at.

  11. Try RFK Jr’s new book [Wuhan coverup, Dec 2023]. It does a sweeping meta-history of CIA bio weaponry development (covid), which links nicely into the current modern waking nightmare we live in. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/60686739-the-wuhan-cover-up

Operation Paperclip collected the nefarious germ warfare researchers from around the world, Japan, Germany, USSR and gave them an American cowboy hat, billion’s & billion’s of dollars, and told em to make biological weaponry. Without a credible vaccine, these expensive $trillion weapons cannot be used, because of germ blow-back.

The Covid Vaccine, seems to me, a roll out of a proposed solution. Whose goal is to allow the use of bio-bombs, because hey, we’ve got the cure! Now we have the upper hand in warfare, a modern Mustard Gas bomb, for which only we have the cure. Hand over your credit card and your country!

Fauci has been caught with his pants down in the gain-of-function weaponry development in Wuhan. Avril Haines the CIA boss, nicknamed “bloody Haines”, is full court defense covering up their involvement in this nightmare event over the last few years. They are actively cancelling investigations, removing dissenters, instigating misinformation outposts to attack people whom question. Haines, of nil morality, cut her teeth running a waterboarding facility under Bush. and then covering for the nefarious torture.

I don’t believe this these people are going to allow little New Zealand to question their BIO Weaponry program, in the Covid Inquiry without a war. They’ll have 6 ways from Sunday to cow the investigation. Prepare for a big fight.

    7

    • You’re right. It’s a benzodiazepine & suppresses breathing. Hospitals use it, not because it knocks you out but because it buggers up your memory. The theory is if you can’t remember pain then it didn’t happen.

The worst abuse of it or any other sedative drug I’ve ever heard of was recounted on Flightlessbirdblog about ten years ago about the time when the Godnutters were really kicking off about the assisted suicide debate. The commenter was a woman whose mother was in a hospice suffering from end stage cancer. She had the extreme misfortune to be assigned a Catholic palliative care doctor who wouldn’t prescribe sufficient morphine to dull her pain because it might kill her. Instead she was injected with midazalom so that the cunt of a quack would qualify for heaven.

  14. A man has been fatally shot by Police following a protracted incident in Waikato this afternoon.

At around 12.30pm today Police conducted a vehicle stop on Ulster Street in Hamilton City after identifying the driver as a person of interest.

The driver presented a firearm to Police and then fled, driving erratically and at high speed.

The offender then took a member of the public’s vehicle and continued to flee.

Police initiated a pursuit and deployed road spikes in an effort to stop the vehicle, however this was not successful.

A short time later the vehicle crashed on a rural road in the Matamata-Piako area.

The driver fled on foot and entered a private residence where he was not known to the occupants.

Police arrived to find a parent and child were being threatened by the armed offender.

After being confronted by Police, the man was shot and initially critically injured.

Officers immediately provided medical attention, however he died a short time later.

No members of the public or Police staff were injured.

There will be an increased Police presence in the area in the coming days as Police conduct multiple scene examinations and work to establish a full picture of what has occurred.

Police will also undertake a formal identification process in relation to the deceased and his family will be provided with support.

The parent and child are being supported by Victim Support and local police, along with other members of the public who were directly affected.

Today’s events will also have a huge impact on the officers involved, and we will be providing them with ongoing support.

The Independent Police Conduct Authority will be notified and a Critical Incident Investigation is underway.

    • I used to fly to Europe and the USA a lot for business on Air NZ. Unexpectedly an Air NZ Gold card arrived in the mail giving me lounge privileges, faster check-ins and business class upgrades. I was flying so much that at times the accumulated airpoints would allow both myself and wife to upgrade to business class.

Apparently Air New Zealand ended up owing too many people airpoints so Air New Zealand “downvalued” the airpoints making them worth a lot less. Then later went further and converted the less valuable airpoints into what they called “Air dollars”, again devaluation what airpoints you had accumulated.

At that point I stopped flying Air New Zealand and started flying the cheapest options.

You have to wonder about companies that screw over their best customers.

A cyclist entered on to the cycle way from beside the car and the Tesla immediately slammed on the brakes, the automatic system sensing that the cyclist was going to continue on to the road and collide with said Tesla.
Result whiplash and concussion for the driver.
Does anyone know whether other manufacturers have these automatic systems for “safety reasons”
