  1. So the blue greens met with the Gnats over the weekend and decided there were impediments to building renewal energy options thus making it difficult to meet net zero obligations and reduce emissions.

Where the hell do these people get their information from and have they not noticed the push back on net zero crap by some countries?
Are the Gnats going along with this bs because it feels right or are they totally sucked in to the climate con?

  2. Yep both gnats are pathetic and if the other two parties were not on board we would have a total Green Party manifesto imposed on us. Lux flakes is so weak it is shameful for a leader.
Have a good day people and be careful out there.

  3. Wiseowl, There are a few on this blog that warned voters pre election that fcuk all would change with National in government combined with whatever dregs came in 2nd and 3rd (that’s what we’ve now got running the place), this country is cursed with 3rd rate politicians that over the last 50 years (the last 6 at warp speed) have driven us into near 3rd world status ,their entire economic program has been backed up by rising property prices and importing 100s of thousands of 3rd world semi qualified immigrants, drive down any street in Auckland to see the results, $2.00 shops ,vape shops ,grubby dairies ,alcohol outlets , petrol stations with higher prices, take away joints by the hundred ,taxi drivers by the thousand and not to forget the myriad of cars driving around with official looking Native names all over them undoubtedly paid for by the overworked taxpayers.
Oh well we’ve got something to look forward to and that is waving to all the Salvadorians as we plummet downward and pass them on their way upwards 😭😭😭.LMFAO.

    • Off course I agree rev but I really wonder if these ‘representatives’ have the ability to think at all.
Grant McCullum was going on about making it easier to push through renewable energy projects instead of taking the opportunity to push for drilling for more gas and getting coal back into the energy scene.
May be I held a little bit of hope that the new government may get us back on track but it is a dwindling hope.

        • Ya shoulda voted for King Matt and taken a picture of your vote; then texted it to Mr O. Coot. of Tauranga.
Although even that may have never made him happy.😢😢

King Matt is with the …….. Party.
Oh shit, it doesnt exist , now !!

If King had stood for notional in 2023 in Northland he would be in Parliament now at least having SOME influence.
As it was he was a one term, back bench MP, in opposition.
          A no win game.

Now at least he would have been in government with credit for winning back a seat; also not a first termer.
….On election night 2023 McCallum received more than 16,272 votes, beating incumbent Willow-Jean Prime by a margin of 6,087 votes….
The margin win for notional in Northland was about the total number of votes for the ……… [does not exist today] Party.

Surely that would have been bedder than a lot of money chasing very few votes.
Of course Mr O. Coot of TGA is so obsessed he cannot see it this way.

I guess Samantha-Jane Miranda. thinks she won something!!!!

      • Hold up;—- James Shaw to see through as an MP to support the Bill of Rights (Right to a Sustainable Environment ) Amendment Bill.

So Shaw is to ” “scale up” in his ambitions, working on climate and nature issues domestically or overseas.”
That way he could put the win of the life long free ticket for international & domestic travel, that I understand is part of retirement package.

Is it only a question of time, that Luxon bestows ‘NZ Environment Commissioner’ on James Shaw?

So would not be surprised if Shaw is shoe-horned into this by Luxon & company.

Another commission that should be totally wiped out. I think Carr’s term finishes in October this year?

  4. COVID Vaccine mRNA Can ‘Spread Systemically’ to Placenta and Infants of Women Vaccinated During Pregnancy
A new report demonstrates for the first time the ability of COVID-19 vaccines to penetrate the fetal-placental barrier and reach the intrauterine environment.

A new report suggests vaccine mRNA does not remain at the injection site following vaccination but can “spread systemically” to the placenta and umbilical cord blood of infants whose mothers are vaccinated during pregnancy.
In a peer-reviewed pre-proof accepted for publication in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, researchers presented two cases that demonstrate, for the first time, the ability of COVID-19 vaccines to penetrate the fetal-placental barrier and reach the inside of the uterus. Additionally, researchers detected spike protein in placental tissue, indicating the bioactivity of the mRNA in reaching the placenta.

  6. So in 2018 Andrew Little attends the “World Government Summit” & in 2019 Helen Clark.
This year New Zealand has send Mark Mitchell.

… World Government Summit in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from February 11 – 13. ….

…. “The Summit provides a forum to strengthen existing relationships, form new ones, and work together towards stronger global governance,” Mr Mitchell says. ….
    https://www.beehive.govt.nz/release/mitchell-attend-world-government-summit

It does seem to be an Arab initiative but what other ties in are there, like Klaus Schwab as a key speaker.
Then who & what else is slipped in under other “themes” like Health, as we know the WHO’s agenda to lock every one in.
    https://www.worldgovernmentsummit.org/events/2024/world-government-summit-2024

When & What will Mitchell report about that summit?
Or will the cabinet just follow that ideology, those on the down-low commands.

  7. An Englishman, a Scotsman and an Irishman are scaffolding workers eating their lunch. The Englishman opens his lunch box and cries out,
“Bangers and Mash! I’ve had this every day for a month now. If I get bangers and mash again I’ll throw myself into the street below.”
The Scotsman opens his lunch box and cries out,
“Haggis! I’ve had this every day for a month now. If I get haggis again I’ll throw myself into the street below.”
The Irishman opens his lunch box and cries out,
“Potatoes! I’ve had them every day for a month now. If I get potatoes again I’ll throw myself into the street below.”
The following day the Englishman opens his lunch box.
“Bangers and mash!” he shouts, and promptly jumps to his death.
Then the Scotsman opens his lunch box.
“Haggis!” he shouts, and promptly jumps to his death.
Then the Irishman opens his lunch box.
“Potatoes!” he shouts, and promptly jumps to his death.
Later that day the site foreman meets with the bereaved widows of the three men and explains what happened.
“If I’d only known John didn’t like bangers and mash every day,” weeps the Englishman’s widow.
“If I’d only known Andy didn’t like haggis every day,” weeps the Scotsman’s widow.
“Don’t look at me,” say the Irishman’s widow. “Paddy always makes his own lunch.”

  8. I think the answer to the Cook Strait ferry issue is to sack the Kiwi Rail Board and Executive team and replace them all.

They cannot even manage the commuter rail system in Wellington.

    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/10-to-15-years-bus-replacements-set-to-be-common-practice-in-wellington-on-weekends-public-holidays-for-next-decade/WALUNNP5HFGDNDYMQSTILJH6IU/

“KiwiRail needs between $5 billion and $7.8 billion for maintenance and rail investments for the Wellington metro network over the next 30 years.” Given that massive time frame you can probably add another zero to those figures.

      • Nah, sack them at midday, just as they cancelled the trains in Auckland at midday 2 weeks ago AFTER people had made their way to work/school.

        Use pubic transport they say.
Catch a bus they say (1000 drivers short)
Catch a train they say- cancelled, cancelled, cancelled.
Ride a bike they say- 15% of NZ is flat, 3 of the four traditional ‘main cities’ are very hilly to very undulating.

    • Ross12@1010

I’ve attached a page from KR’s online site, giving biographies of current KR members. If you read it carefully, you will no doubt note two things: 1).They are all ministerial appointments (‘Jobs for the boys’ if you will); 2). NONE have ANY personal ‘hands on’ or practical ‘railway-type’ experience (Marion Steet ws only a ‘paper pusher’ and not a very good one at that), and as a result can have absolutely NO idea of the realties involved in operating that system. .

Unfortunately ‘Trains’ are NOT the same as ‘trucks’ and all the ‘business acumen’, degrees, and high-sounding titles in the world are totally useless if you have absolutely NO idea what you are talking about, and on that basis, what these individuals spout-on about can therefore have no real credibility.

The pity of it is that the ‘Minister’ whom they advise, invariably has even LESS knowledge about ‘trains’ than they do and accepts their advice without question – a situation that is unlikely to change any time in the foreseeable future.

Were that such was not the case.

  9. An interview with Dr Suzanne Humphries talking about the update to her book “Dissolving Illusions”
There is a pdf of the article if you prefer. A couple of quotes:

“It’s a dark night of the soul when you wake up to it,” Humphries says. “Your whole world does get a bit shattered, because you start to realize that the entire medical system is corrupt and backwards and that there’s probably better ways to do just about everything.”

“After a three-years-long struggle with the hospital administration, who refused to listen to any of her concerns, she finally got out, paid off her student loans and moved into a pop-up camper on a friend’s farm in Virginia, where she wrote the first edition of “Dissolving Illusions,” together with Roman Bystrianyk, who had been researching the history of disease and vaccines since 1998.
She spent the next seven years giving lectures around the world, and got her fair share of death threats. The brake line on her car was sabotaged, someone shot a crossbow arrow into the ground in front of her front door, and an obvious nut job detailed how he intended to torture and kill her in horrible ways. All for speaking out about the hazards of vaccines and the lies that keep the vaccine industry going.”

It found that more than 5,200 donors to Biden have backed Haley financially, including 1,600 who gave more than $500,000 in January alone. The report filed with the FEC also listed a total of 123,000 “large-dollar” donors to Haley’s entire campaign.”

    .
….. The former PM, Director General of Health & Baker based their “excess death” statements on an assumption that NZ’s population trended up during Covid, when instead it flattened due to closed borders during 2020-22. ……

Will be interesting how to figure in the migratory change for this past year of 2023 though.
    .
The source article is worth a skim through & then down at the end; a ponder on the “Conclusion” & “Post Script”

Accurate health data are needed to evaluate responses to COVID-19.
Local media, politicians and public health commentators have coalesced around a projection-based measure of excess deaths due to Karlinsky and Kobak (Citation2021) that seemingly shows negative cumulative excess mortality for New Zealand in the first three years of COVID-19.
This measure poorly suits the New Zealand context because it ignores the sharp fall in population growth rates after the border was closed in March 2020. ….
    .
….. To the extent that public appreciation of the severity of the excess deaths problem has been delayed and downplayed by commentators coalescing around the misleading K&K-based measure there seems to be more than adequate motivation for future researchers to study the why question that I have left largely unexamined. ….

    3 mins to read
Police are laying a fourth charge against former Green MP Golriz Ghahraman, who had her first court appearance for alleged shoplifting delayed again.

The former lawyer was due to appear in the Auckland District Court on Wednesday morning to face three shoplifting charges for nearly $10,000 worth of goods she allegedly took from two boutique stores.

On Monday, the Auckland District Court registry confirmed Ghahraman’s first appearance had been pushed back to March 20, following an earlier adjournment in January after a third shoplifting charge emerged.

Ghahraman’s lawyer Annabel Cresswell confirmed to the Herald police were laying a new charge against her client.

  15. ROBERT MacCULLOCH: Former PM Hipkins & Profs Bloomfield & Baker should be held accountable for quoting statistics that have now been shown to be wrongly estimated

Why are we still talking about Covid when many countries – like the US – have moved on? Well the US economy is currently booming and ours is stuck in the mud. The reason has emerged over time. Although our response to the virus was to be commended in early 2020 when no-one knew what we were dealing with and there was no vaccine – as NZ moved into 2021 and 2022 the response morphed into a full blown disaster. We cut ourselves off from the world and became a place where nearly every aspect of our lives was brought under government control. That time was so suffocating that NZ has not yet recovered – many of our most talented have now left, to be replaced by lower skilled arrivals. The $30 billion cost of the mismanagement in 2021-22 is money that could have now been spent on saving our health system – and with it, lives – our schools and revitalizing our infrastructure.

Former Director-General of Health, Ashley Bloomfield, argued these immense losses were justified because he was satisfied, three years on, that NZ still had negative excess mortality, saying ‘we had less deaths than you would’ve predicted based on the previous years .. [which] .. is unique, virtually unique around the world’. Meanwhile in the NZ Medical Journal, Baker et al. present a chart of cumulative excess deaths per million from 2020 to 2023 to support the claim that ‘cumulative excess mortality in NZ from January 2020 to June 2023 remains close to zero’. He concludes that NZ’s COVID-19 pandemic response has been among the world’s most effective. And former PM Hipkins stated in his Election Concession Speech that NZ “recorded the lowest number of Covid deaths in the developed world”.

    • In 1872 Samuel Butler wrote a novel titled ‘Erewhon’. It satirises various aspects of Victorian society, including criminal punishment, religion & anthropocentrism. From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erewhon :

……”For example, according to Erewhonian law, offenders are treated as if they were ill, whereas ill people are looked upon as criminals.”…….

……”Butler was the first to write about the possibility that machines might develop consciousness by natural selection”…….

1984 turned out to be a blueprint for modern society. Erewhon seems similarly prophetic.

The wording of the bill, dubbed Article Pfizer by critics, is as slippery as a person might expect from slimy politicians. No explicit mention of the medical products pushed as vaccines. No mention of Big Pharma just making it criminal to convince or encourage people to refuse so-called reasonable medical treatment. But the shadows of Big Pharma are unmistakable in the vision of those paying attention who have seen it all before. If the bill gets the signature of the French President, it will make the new crime punishable.
      .
But up to three years in jail? A fine of €45,000, despite the truth of harms caused being glaring now, so glaring that even the mainstream media can’t ignore them any longer, and study after study, making plain the damage done by the experimental gene therapies, we had to watch UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak describe those products as unequivocally safe one moment, and then the next acknowledge the government’s scheme set up to compensate the thousands killed or injured over and over. …..
      .
……. The director of the Foundation for Freedom Online, Mike Benz recently alleged that all of seven months before the US elections in 2020, intelligence agencies there, in collaboration with big tech platforms all around the world, set in place the means to censor anyone online questioning the safety of mail in ballots that process by which people vote in advance.
      .
As I say again, Mike Benz’s research seemed to show that seven months before the last US election, the US establishment, AK, the Intelligence Military Industrial Complex, was demonstrably worried people might be suspicious about a Biden election, when seemed to have benefited in disproportionate volume from mail in votes. And so, he says, tech platforms around the world were tweaked so that at a stroke, 10s of millions of posts online casting doubt on the legitimacy of mail in ballots could be censored into oblivion.
      .
Benz insists the US establishment set about writing it into law that elections were as much a part of the critical infrastructure of that nation as the power grid. So that anyone asking questions about the legitimacy of the system in place to make elections happen was potentially guilty of nothing less than a cyber attack.
      .
Which would mean that in the United States, a person posting on social media that they don’t trust mail in ballots is open to conviction of cyber terrorism just by saying as much online. ….
