  1. And a very good morning to you all my fellow YSB-ers.

It’s time to wake up, get up, have breakfast, then to go and do battle against luxflakes and the WHO and WEF.

Wherever you are, have a great day and take care; the NWO minions are everywhere…..

    • To lose weight, I have simply had black coffee for breakfast, since November.
I’ve lost 6 kg (2 more to go). It works for me.
No fruits, nuts or flakes for me–I get enough of those on the Internet…

  2. And good morning to you Komata
I have been looking at the weather, looks like there will be some rain over the next few days just to keep the farmers happy maybe? then again maybe not. Certainly the feed will be growing and nice and green for the beef and lambs for our supermarkets in future. So they can come in small plastic trays and well wrapped things to buy.
Have a great day all and keep safe. Don’t let the bastards get you down as Komata says. Very good advice.

  4. All the teachers at Jack’s school dislike him because he is always swearing. One day his class are working on their vocabulary and the teacher asks for a word beginning with D. Immediately, Jack puts up his hand and the teacher picks Jack to answer, holding her breath for what’s coming.

    “Dwarf, miss”, says Jack.

“Oh! Well, yes, that’s right!”, exclaims the teacher with obvious relief.

“A dwarf with big, fat, hairy bo**ocks”, continues Jack.

“Right! That’s it!!”, yells the teacher over the raucous laughter from the rest of the class. “See me after class.”

At the end of the class the teacher gives Jack yet another stern reprimand for his vulgarity and tells him that tomorrow he must come into school with an example of a sentence containing the word ‘contagious’.

Jack is completely flustered, never having even heard of the word. The next day when he comes in to school, however, he is all smiles. The teacher calls him up to the front of the class and asks him if he has found a sentence with the word contagious.

“I have indeed”, beams Jack. “Yesterday, when my dad was driving me home from school, we passed a lorry that had over-turned and spilled sand all over the road. One man was there with a shovel clearing up the sand, and my dad said ‘It’s gonna take that c*nt ages to clear up all that sand”.

The class were in uproar and the teacher could barely make herself heard ordering Jack to the Principal’s office.

The Principal, who had met Jack several times before because of his potty-mouth, was equally unimpressed, but favoured his teacher’s methods of trying to teach Jack the error of his ways with vocabulary exercises.

“Tomorrow, young man”, he said sternly “I want you to come into school with an example of a sentence containing the word ‘lovely’, twice”.

Well, this was a real head-scratcher for poor Jack, but, nevertheless, the next day Jack was all smiles.

The Principal comes to Jack’s class and calls him up to the front, and with a sly wink to the teacher, the Principal asks “Well, young man, do you have a sentence for us that contains the word ‘lovely’, twice”.

“This was a real toughy” says Jack “but I do, yes. You see last night my big sister came home in tears. Eventually, my mum and dad were able to coax out of her the cause of all the upset, and she informed them that she is pregnant, and my dad said ‘Lovely, f***ing lovely!”

  5. I’ve long considered that the “taniwha’ rort practised by our early settlers to extort unearned income from public works projects was the ultimate example of superstition triumphing over common sense. (Other than the religion industry but that’s a separate work of fiction).

In any case I was wrong. From https://jamesmacpherson.substack.com/p/spirit-whales-hold-up-australias?publication_id=818792&post_id=141264531&isFreemail=true&r=2n5w9e&triedRedirect=true we find that:

…….”Work on Australia’s most expensive resources project has been halted because of the danger it poses to Spirit Whales.

Woodside Energy Group has been ordered to halt work on a $16b gas project off the coast of Western Australia that, if completed, will power 8.5 million homes for the next 30 years.”…….

……”The Spirit Whales, according to Indigenous fables, tell the fish of the sea what to eat, when to mate and where to migrate.

If the gas project was to go ahead, the Spirit Whales would be endangered. And if the Spirit Whales were killed, none of the creatures of the sea would know what do to.”……..

We dragged ourselves out of a swamp & learnt to walk upright for this !

  6. First experiments of genetic vaccines getting absorbed by human cells completed – Prof Sucharit Bhakdi reveals.

    —————————–
Our two lady scientists who are just brilliant, they took cells, human cells, and immersed these cells in the vaccine and they found, and these are the first experiments that have ever been done, okay, that the human cells immediately took up the vaccines and the DNA and the chromosomes, and the chromosomes, bacterial chromosomes, entered the cells and these cells immediately started making the spike protein in horrendous quantity and they have quantified this, they have shown what happens to the spike protein, that it is stable, that it is shed into the blood, into the circulation, they have shown that they can measure this in the blood, they can measure this anywhere actually, and they have shown that the plasmid and the spike production goes on for many, many days.

    • WG this is taken from a Wall Street Journal article that you can’t access anymore.
Please excuse the length of post.

GM Doesn’t Tell the Truth About EVs
If the U.S. and allies become failed states, blame their energy and climate delusions.
      Holman W. Jenkins, Jr.

“Ms. Barra, you say GM won’t be selling gas-powered cars by the year 2035. When you say these words, is it part of an unspoken political bargain to protect the trade and fuel-mileage concessions that allow large markups on big SUVs and pickup trucks?”
Normal market logic goes out the window when company leaders are indulged and even required to say fantastical, unrealistic things about the future.
I’ve long borrowed the term “sophisticated state failure” for the Western world’s energy policies. Because government must always be seen doing something, nonsense ideologies, even when spoken purely for effect, end up “gamified” (made a game of) in government programs. Thus the Obama auto bailouts: They left Detroit permanently dependent on artificially inflated pickup profits to subsidize loss- making electric vehicles served up as a gesture by the political class.
The resulting program, the Biden Transportation Department was legally obliged last year to admit, fails any cost-benefit test. Climate wise, the truth is even sadder.
Dollar for dollar, subsidizing EVs for Americans is a subsidy to the rest of the world to use more fossil energy and cause more emissions, a reality that can’t escape political notice forever.
Take Norway, portrayed in GM ads as EV heaven. As a Morgan Stanley research note first observed two years ago, Norway has seen no decline in oil consumption related to EVs, though users receive thousands of dollars in annually recurring subsidies and EVs accounted at the time for 64% of new-car sales.
The reason is increased use and ownership of gas-powered cars, especially for trips that EVs aren’t suited for.
Now comes an update from the natural-resource consultants Goehring & Rozencwajg that only darkens the picture. Despite some of the greenest electricity on Earth, a Norwegian still needs to get 45 years of use out of his imported EV battery (expected life 15 years) to offset the global CO2 cost of producing it.
As I’ve noted before, secretly even the Biden administration knows the truth about all this. Get ready for a colossal irony. Europe’s emissions peaked in 1979, America’s peaked in 2005, and China’s are expected to peak as soon as next year. The reason wasn’t energy policy. Peak emissions happen because of slowing population and economic growth plus the normal, uninterrupted, market-driven hunt for energy efficiency (which can certainly include cost-effective investment in renewables).
Unfortunately, global energy efficiency, which was improving by 1.9% annually for more than a decade, has been growing at only half that rate since 2021.

The numbers, from the French research firm Enerdata, may be distorted by Covid, but recessions and economic crises usually accelerate growth in energy efficiency. By stimulating more energy consumption overall, by stimulating inefficient solar and wind investments, which occasion large emissions-creating increases in mineral mining for less energy output, it’s distinctly possible our poorly designed green subsidies work just like poorly designed fossil-fuel subsidies. They make emissions worse and slow progress toward a global peak, which I’ve long argued is closer than previously thought.
Well-adjusted humans have an instinct to avoid embarrassing persons in positions of authority, whether it’s Ms. Barra embarrassing the politicians who control her life or journalists embarrassing Ms. Barra. But it’s not like Detroit executives in the past haven’t been successful even when willing to say the U.S. fuel mileage regime is nuts; if the government wants people to buy high-mileage or electric vehicles, it should implement a gas tax.
For now, GM’s stock price isn’t zero for one reason: Ms. Barra has skilfully avoided making progress on eliminating the products that make money in favor of those that don’t. In fact, GM has been enjoying some highly profitable quarters thanks to five- figure markups on pickups.
The stock, though, has remained in the doldrums for 15 years, ever since the Obama bailout. Even GM’s commitment last year to use its giant cash earnings, which come only from gas-powered vehicles, to buy back a quarter of its shares hasn’t changed the trajectory, though this commitment can only be interpreted as a silent contradiction showing that, yes, GM doesn’t plan to stop making money.
Ms. Barra and other CEOs have reasons for a strategic silence on the EV folly. But it comes at a cost. I doubt any president of Eisenhower’s era or earlier could have pictured the misallocation of perhaps ultimately $1 trillion on so deluded an enterprise as our government pretending to convert the nation’s vehicle fleet to electricity to change the planet’s weather.

This has been twisted by latter day part Maori to mean “self-determination”.
It actually means “full chieftainship” as translated from te Tiriti o Waitangi in the official 1869 back translation of te Tiriti o Waitangi by Mr T E Young of the Native department.
For context from Article 2 as relating to tino rangatiratanga – “the chiefs and hapus and all the people of New Zealand, the full chieftainship of their lands, their settlements and their property”.

The average travelogue would bore me shitless yet these 20minute clips don’t. They document the voyage of two university students in a 34foot yacht attempting a circumnavigation of Australia. Francisco Hernandez is a climate policy expert & an ex OUSA president. In the run up to the 2023 elections where he stood for the Greens in Dunedin he self described thus:

“I have a proven track record of strongly advocating for my constituents and delivering change. As OUSA President, I delivered free breakfasts, student bus fare discounts and bought town and gown together through student volunteering projects to clean up our streets. At the Climate Commission, I recommended ambitious waste reduction targets that the government adopted. ”

  19. Homeowners hit with soaring bills as they struggle to cool new Auckland townhouses

‘Unliveable’: Owners struggle to cool Auckland townhouses in summer heat

The owners of some new-build townhouses in Auckland say their homes cost twice as much to cool over summer as they do to heat in winter.

The million-dollar homes have just one heat pump installed on the second storey of the three-storey homes to cool the whole house, leaving the bedrooms on the third floor unbearably hot.

One homeowner, Meg*, said she believed insufficient thought had been put into the design from the start, with a west-facing aspect exposing it to a lot of sunlight, with windows that only opened a fraction for natural ventilation.

“It’s not rocket science to work out that actually the sun is going to heat up the house, especially the top two floors.

    https://www.newstalkzb.co.nz/news/auckland/homeowners-hit-with-soaring-bills-as-they-struggle-to-cool-new-auckland-townhouses/

hahaha so the curtain cleaner was right all along. More work for us keep it up.
Not rocket science except to mobile and the Greenies. Rarely see mouldy curtains in weatherbaord houses.
    The air cuculates in them.
Now they want to install ventilation systems and they don’t work that well either. Curtains still go mouldy. (as do the carpets). The house needs to breath. double glazing doesn’t fix it either. Mkaes the house warmer.

cheaper to put another jersey on in the cold. Now it might be different in the south and colder areas but in the north simply no need.

Mould doesn’t grow in the cold it grows in warm houses.
Here is information I wrote 14 years ago.

a Kotahi NZ Transport Agency – Northland
    · Follow
    ·
Brynderwyns update: We’re now in the third week of State Highway 1 over the Brynderwyn Hills being closed for critical slip repair work. Despite the weather roadworkers have continued hustling and our progress is still on track.
One major advantage of the closure is being able to work both day and night. As you can see in the first photo below, workers are busy onsite at night while most of us are sleeping—this photo shows them using a core sampling machine to drill five metres down.
Engineers then examine the core sample to see what condition the ground is in, including finding faults, seeing the depth of the underlying rock, and checking the underlying rock’s strength and the rock’s ability to hold to the planned horizontal nails used to support the wall or road.
The second photo is an example of a technique called “soil nailing”, which is one of the main things we’ll be doing to stabilise the slopes. This photo is of soil nails being installed on a previous site on the Brynderwyns in 2023, but it gives you an idea of what the work looks like.
Soil nailing involves drilling holes into the slope, inserting reinforcing bars, and grouting them into place. This helps tie the mass of soil together into a large stable block. A flexible reinforcing mesh is then fixed in place across the slope to help hold the soil between the nails together. Soil nails can vary in length depending on how deep the rock is at different locations—the nails we’re using here will be approximately 15 metres long.
You can sign up for updates on our progress via email on our website: https://www.nzta.govt.nz/sh1-brynderwyn-hills/
