  1. I was going to post a link to a news item that says Kate was murdered in a satanic ritual that went horribly wrong. It was so far fetched that posting it would make me a shoe in for admission to the Henry Bennett thingy at Waikato hospital.
I may have to reconsider that decision

    • Ed, they are currently expanding the Henry Bennett Centre, at Waikato, so if you do end up there the surroundings will be luxurious, new and freshly painted, furniture bolted to the floor. Just think:

      For:
      No Rates,
      No lawns to do.
      No Power Charges.
Don’t have to remember to order Gas bottles.
      Room cleaned each day.
      Three meals per day.

      Against:
      Noisy neighbours.
      Fat butch Nurses.
      NZ Herald delivered daily.
Not being allowed keys to your front door.

Otherwise it is worth considering becoming an intern. Give me a call when you get there as I may join you.

    • Ed, theres several nutter ysb folk that would love you to post it and swallow it hook line and sinker!

ya gotta admit tho there is something weird as fark going on, youd think esp after that photoshop fail theyd make an effort to get her “seen” by photographers even in a distanced and staged setting. cant even be seen waving from a balcony etc… theyre lying and hiding something, she must be crook as fark.

      6

      5

      • Yeah that’s what I was thinking, SB. They’d get her out there even if they had to prop her up. She’s either crook as fark, or she’s defying them and hiding. Only reason I think she’d be hiding is if the Royal Willy has been out and about.

        • Kate had an op on 16 January and said she’d be recovering for four months. It’s been two. The yank journos are just pissed they can’t make Kate dance to the msm demands after getting pissed she takes her own photos. OBVIOUSLY that means she is taking a job off a poor, hard done by photo journo and they can’t make money off her while she is resting in King Charlie’s highland estate away from prying eyes.

          11

          2

          • WG,they also said “minor surgery”… since when does minor surgery lead to 4mnths of solitary confinement and unable to be seen by public and media?
if they wanted the sheeple to believe that photoshop disaster then she looks of good health and able bodied enough to do at least a small appearance to quell any rumours.

            3

            3

          • Not only that, she released the photo herself and took more money out of the media’s mouths.
So they had to embarass her to make sure she doesn’t bypass the media again!
She should double down and release a heap more!!!

          • Remember when Melania Trump had renal surgery and the world press went nuts.
They’d done everything they could to gaslight the woman, but as soon as she dropped from sight for a few days they had her murdered by her allegedly abusive spouse and buried in the Rose Garden.

That aside, The Firm have done themselves no favours. When KC2 went for surgery he said he wanted to be open so other men would seek medical attention. What a noble leader.
Then when cancer was actually found, it all became secret squirrel. The Palace still hasn’t said what he’s got.
Kate’s health seems unnecessarily shrouded in secrecy too.
Then there’s good old Ferg. A lesser royal battling blight in the pumpkins and said so. Notice how the press aren’t banging on? Lesson there.

  3. Spoonley going of the reservation.
Gone woke along with all the people he asssociates with.
Massey really does need shutting down and cleaning out.

A leading expert on extremism in New Zealand believes more can done to tackle the threat posed by the far right.

Last week marked five years since the Christchurch mosque terror attack, when 51 Muslim worshippers were killed by white supremacist Brenton Tarrant.

The anniversary came days after a hearing was held to determine what a coronial inquest into the 2021 New Lynn terror attack – when Islamic State supporter Ahamed Aathill Mohamed Samsudeen stabbed five shoppers at a supermarket – should investigate.

While the two attacks had very different motives, Massey University distinguished professor Paul Spoonley told The Front Page, the Herald’s daily news podcast, that far-right extremism is by far the biggest threat to national security.

    • Spoonley has always cracked on about New Zealand cities, particularly Auckland becoming one of the most “super diverse” cities in the world, which shows that he just wants full on immigration to New Zealand a-la Coudenhove-Kalergi plan for Europe.
      .
So what did Spoonley make of the Auckland supermarket stabbings & “sharp knives” in 2021.
      Spoonley = 5 stabbed? ? …. Wiki = 8 were injured!
      .
……. eight people were injured in a mass stabbing …..
      .
……. While investigating him years later, Immigration NZ was made aware of information that led them to believe his refugee status was fraudulently obtained.[25]
      .
According to his mother living in Sri Lanka, Samsudeen was radicalised in New Zealand. She blamed his neighbours from Iraq and Syria for exposing him to radical views. ………
      .
….. At the time of the attack he was still facing charges for assaulting prison officers while in custody. ……
      .
……… expanded the powers of police to conduct warrantless searches. ….
….. supermarkets in New Zealand, removed all sharp knives from sale nationwide as a precautionary measure. ……
      .
….. teenager who had already been planning an Islamic terror attack felt inspired by the supermarket stabbing and intended to execute his plan earlier.
He was arrested on 8 September, with police finding bomb-making ingredients in his home.[49] ….

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021_Auckland_supermarket_stabbing
      .
That supposed diverseness has bought about a major loss of trust in society at a grass roots level, which is astro-turfed from on high as a paper plastered over by the academics, politicians, shilling media, & the incorporation of DEI so that corporates outside the government can also impose through techno-sociologists engineering, via bureaucrats with mystical chants & exhortations.

Did Spoonley ever care about New Zealanders, understand the issues in New Zealand, from the height of his Ivy Towers in New Zealand, Berkley University in California & the Max Plank Institute in Germany?
Spoonley only ever paid lip service, to any concerns, and twisted things to bring in more controls over New Zealanders.

        he does sociology.
I’m with Bob Jones and his take on that.
        Ie. Total disdain.

Spoonley was born in Upper Hutt so there is that . A poor start to life.

Spoonley earned a Bachelor of Arts from Victoria University of Wellington in 1973, which he followed a year later with a postgraduate diploma in geography at the University of Otago. In 1976 he obtained a Master of Arts again from Otago, studying Niuean migrants,[3] and then a Master of Science from the University of Bristol in 1978. He completed a Bachelor of Education at the University of Auckland in 1979
….and finally a doctorate from Massey University in 1986, with a thesis on the extreme right in New Zealand.

  5. Winston called out Labour ‘s treatment of NZers during their period in office and Chippie bit back. Rumble in the jungle.

Winston Peters says Labour leader Chris Hipkins “would get drunk on a wine biscuit”
    https://www.1news.co.nz/2024/03/18/peters-trades-barbs-with-hipkins-would-get-drunk-on-a-wine-biscuit/

Winston Peters says Labour leader Chris Hipkins “would get drunk on a wine biscuit”, biting back after the Opposition leader’s comment yesterday that Peters “behaves like a drunk uncle at a wedding”.

He took jabs at the previous government’s “race-based theory”, alluding to co-governance, “where some people’s DNA… made them somehow better than others”.

“I’ve seen that sort of philosophy before. I saw it in Nazi Germany, we all did,” he told an approving crowd.

In response, Hipkins said: “Kiwis deserve better than a deputy prime minister who behaves like a drunk uncle at a wedding.”

Today, the war of words has continued with a tweet from Peters.

He had a go at the previous government and current opposition.
“Chris Hipkins hid behind a press release yesterday and said that he was glad he ‘ruled me out’ before the election,” he tweeted this morning. “Newsflash Chris.

“I publicly ruled out working with you and your woke Labour cronies twelve months before you stuttered the words.

“But you know that. And so do the media who have the temerity to repeat your stutter.

    • Saggy, this says everything you need to know.

“Thomas Te Pairi, one of three people charged with offending against the boy, has been jailed.”
“The judge received several reports on Te Paipi, which outlined his whakapapa, upbringing and his connection to Te Ao Māori.”

And the Elite of these “Special People” have the audacity to tell the rest of humanity, how to respect people, that they have superior knowledge and how to live.

      • Agree AH, as far as I’m concerned anybody who attempts to minimise the offending or subsequent punishment for any reason is an enabler.
Punishment should be applied according to the crime. It makes no difference to the poor kid if the offender is the son of a gangster or is a meth head.

  6. The man sent to prison over wetlands that never existed

A Kāpiti Coast farmer was unlawfully imprisoned and lost his job – and his partner fined $118,750 – for damaging wetlands that never existed.

Greater Wellington Regional Council forged ahead with prosecuting Adrian Page and Julie Crosbie, despite hearing evidence that threw their scientific methods into question in another court case only weeks earlier.

Now the council has lost both cases, which centred on how it defined wetlands. The botched prosecutions are set to cost ratepayers millions of dollars in compensation payouts.

One of the two New Zealanders reportedly being arrested in Thailand for attacking a police officer and grabbing his pistol appears to be Hamish Day, Ngāpuhi, CEO of Code Avengers which serves 1000 schools in NZ and the Pacific with an online education platform. It’s also registered with the Ministry of Education to upskill teachers (in both English and te reo Māori) in digital skills.

Psychological researchers in Finland have created an assessment to help measure an individual’s commitment to principles of social justice and made some surprising findings across the Finnish population — including a negative correlation between progressive ideals and levels of happiness.

Their findings, published in the Scandinavian Journal of Psychology, suggest other Western nations may see similar patterns among their socially conscious citizens.

It seems likely that Christopher Luxon can expect to be Prime Minister beyond 2026, and plausibly into a third term, despite his relative unpopularity.

Some commentators opposed to the Coalition and its leader have pointed to Luxon’s poor favorability numbers and controversial policy agenda as signs of a one term Government.

some places (chch for example) the price is coming down as the markets get flooded with high quality indoor stuff the legal growers are sneaking out the back door.

weed breeding has come along way in 20yrs, pretty much incomparable, product quality increases so naturally the price does too.
not sure if youve been buying cheap or expensive weed for the past 20yrs starving but in the south island prices certainly increased… the same price for 20yrs you refer too could also mean free??? 🙂

Coming at a time when Russia has also claimed they’ve killed 6,000 foreign fighters in Ukraine, including 491 Americans if we’re to believe Russia more than our own government of liars who long ago lost their right to be trusted by their employers, the American people, that astounding number of American mercenary deaths could easily be read as more proof we’re already in World War 3 against that sovereign nation at a time when Russia has declared that any direct US participation fighting for Ukraine will lead to a widening of that conflict, engulfing the US and any other participants in a direct conflict with Russia that we know we cannot ‘win’.

  19. According to a 19th century legend, the Truth and the Lie meet one day. The Lie says to the Truth: “It’s a marvellous day today”! The Truth looks up to the skies and sighs, for the day was really beautiful. They spend a lot of time together, ultimately arriving beside a well. The Lie tells the Truth: “The water is very nice, let’s take a bath together!” The Truth, once again suspicious, tests the water and discovers that it indeed is very nice. They undress and start bathing. Suddenly, the Lie comes out of the water, puts on the clothes of the Truth and runs away. The furious Truth comes out of the well and runs everywhere to find the Lie and to get her clothes back. The World, seeing the Truth naked, turns its gaze away, with contempt and rage.
The poor Truth returns to the well and disappears forever, hiding therein, its shame. Since then, the Lie travels around the world, dressed as the Truth, satisfying the needs of society, because, the World, in any case, harbours no wish at all to meet the naked Truth.

    6

    0

    • The lies are well “tarted up”, as we see now with academics, media shills, & politicians seeking controlling powers, with just a dimple of truth, to confuse many.

      Besides, as the vilest Writer has his Readers, so the greatest Liar has his Believers;
and it often happens, that if a Lie be believ’d only for an Hour,
it has done its Work, and there is no farther occasion for it.

      Falsehood flies, and the Truth comes limping after it;
      so that when Men come to be undeceiv’d, it is too late;
the Jest is over, and the Tale has had its Effect…

But, when the man relayed that information to the 111 operator he was told his doctor was “probably being a bit cautious” and was triaged as being potentially serious, but not in an immediately life-threatening situation.

Fire and Emergency NZ (Fenz) was instead sent in the first instance and it was another hour until a St John ambulance finally arrived to take over the man’s care.

“We … wasted two hours waiting around for St John to do nothing,” the man said in a complaint to the Health and Disability Commissioner (HDC) about how Hato Hone St John handled his call for help that day.

The man, who was eventually driven to hospital by his wife, was found to have suffered a heart attack.

  22. NZDF making good use of taxpayer funds and appealing the decision against their mandate behaviour to the Supreme Court. Fully supported by Minister Crusher Collins. Well I guess we know now who her masters are.

  23. Argentina is going full “Bukele” on gang members and traffickers…

Well, it turns out, there’s a new player on the scene aiming to make South America Great Again—Argentina’s President Javier Milei. He’s bringing that “outsider” energy and a “Trumpy” vibe that resonates with the people. So, it’s hardly a shock to see his political allies embracing a “Bukele-style” crackdown on crime in their areas. Take Santa Fe, for instance, one of the hottest gang regions, now home to a maximum-security prison filled with gang members. The message being sent is crystal clear: there’s a new sheriff in town, and mercy isn’t part of the equation.

For effective handling of crime you need to ensure aggressive application of them. We saw this with Giuliani in NYC. When he came in NYC it was crime ridden, in a matter of two years he had cleaned up the city. That is because the first thing he did was remove the low level criminals through his “Broken Windows” policy. The second was the three strikes your are out.

He did this because they had realized that about 20% of all criminals commit about 80% of all the crimes. Remove that 20%, and you have addressed 80% of all your crimes. It is what Bukele did and Milei is mimicking, it’s not hard, all you need political fortitude because you know the loony left and their propaganda arm is going to come hard after you.

      • Viking ,do you mean like cnutface Ardern did to 100s of thousands of NZ gun owners because that’s what happens when you give unelected pigs endless powers to do as they please , in New York the people whether good or bad have the US constitution to protect their rights here in Gayotearoa there are no such protections.

    • First you woud have to decide what you want rather than what Clark allowed them to do.
Then you would have to allow for extra services and inflation.
A post I read somewhere the other day ( might have been on Interest.co), had looked at council rates income over a period of many years compared to GDP.
The obvious thing was that rates are in the same % of GDP now as they were 70 years or so ago.
So we all demand more and they do more, much of which they should butt out of and in many councils, they don’t charge enough to fix their core services. ( people complain their rates are too high so they keep getting cut back.
Rates probably need to go up quite a lot if the councils re to be left running and doing all the stuff people want, giving out money to any fool thing or even deserving ones. Thats where the groups like Lions, Round Table and others used to do community things. All run out of town by the RMA and councils. I quit for that reason.
There’s a reasonable argument for increasing rates and asking more people to contribute, especially renters, tourists and developers.
Tauranga tried to do the developer thing and got taken to court and got knocked back.

tourisn is a good example here of how the rate[ayer funds that industry.
There is a better formula out there. No one wants to fix it.
