      • There is a positive in this. Cindy will not be short of tea towels. I hear she purchased heaps confident she would win.

Thank god we have been spared the sight of her lording around looking holly.

Jethro can always wear them as loin cloths.

      • More to the point, PriNZess dipped out on the $1,500,000 prize money. That would have made a dent in the mortgage on the Sandringham shack.

Bugger! Still there’s always Saturday night’s Lotto. 🙂

    • If there had ever been even a remote chance of Ardern winning then it would prove the award was totally irrelevant in the modern world. My observation suggests NZ has become more divided and less ‘at peace’ since the COL Govt came to power than it has been for decades. Virtue signalling idiots donning scarves and arbitrarily banning semi automatic rifles without any thought for the possible consequences for future proper democratic process (or future pest control work!), while setting out to destroy the economy in the cause of climate change by attempting to drop us back several stages of technological energy advancement does not make peace.

OTOH technically I guess someone who destroyed all life could be said to have “brought peace” to the earth… so maybe she is heading down the right lines after all….

      • Yes.
The irony is ,a white woman wearing a Briscoes table cloth promoting inclusiveness was excluded.
She’s a rabid nutcase with little, if any love of country.
Her instability is shaking us to the core.
        Time to get rid!

  1. Yes that Ethiopian guy has tried t stop a war that went on for years, and has tried to reconcile his country.
Ardern just put on a hijab and tried to divide our country.
They did not listen to her Christchurch Call in Germany.
All western countries need to listen to my Christchurch Example.

  2. Hello Ed
Remember those changes you asked about?
Well the pics for the blog posts are just too big.
We often don’t see the side menu
And today I have managed to post on today’s 12th October Have Your Say
But their is no headfng pic for it. (until you post using the side list)
Also I don’t like the red links to internet posts and sites.
Red is the colour of Labour, also its a warning.
The old light blue was much better.

    • The more unreasonable, noisy, disruptive XR and other lefties protests become disrupting employment and travel of workers going about their business, the more the average man and woman in the street will become immune to their hysterical claims. We’ve seen it all before, the protesters banging their socialist drum louder and louder to get our attention and only succeeding in annoying the majority of sane society with their ridiculousness.

      • We’ve seen it all before, the protesters banging their socialist drum louder yeah right.
They trade on the “success” and being “right” in having dealt to the Springbok tour.

Then onto the next mass self righteous prayer festival, as their elites infiltrate into power structures “working groups”, committees, etc.. to effect local and national government, etc..

    • I wonder how old that photo is WG. ?

I wonder if the Prof has joined the dots and asked why about 30% of beaches around Auckland are closed for at least part of the summer each year.

I am not sure what happened with the report but a few years back the Horizons Regional Council ( ie Manawatu –the Profs back yard) came out with a plan to clean up the Manawatu River . It essentially only mentioned farming , nothing really about the Palmerston Nortbh City Council sewage system and the horticulture guys down near bottom end of the river got off “scot free”.

      • Sitting high on my seat yesterday travelling to Tauranga I noted all the plastic bottles and food wrappers lying in pools of rain on the side of the roads. I very much doubt the locals are polluting their own neighbourhood with discarded rubbish.

          • Numpties shouldn’t chuck their rubbish out the window. Take it home and put it in the bin like the rest of us. I blame Cindy for taking our plastic bags. They were always useful to put the rubbish that accumulates in your vehicle.

“A march to Parliament is being organised by a farming lobby group which claims the rural sector is not being listened to by politicians.

The event is being organised by the lobby group 50 Shades of Green, which was formed to highlight the impact of the Government’s billion trees policy on rural communities.”

The march is planned for Thursday November 14th, and will arrive at Parliament at 1pm.

TRI Teaching Robots to Help People in their Homes

Our robot is specifically designed to make teaching and performing these tasks easy. Like a person, it has many redundant degrees of freedom, ensuring the robot can move its hands around in the way that it wants, whenever it wants, by adjusting its whole body posture to accommodate the motions. The robot also has a set of visual and depth cameras with a very wide field of view. This provides a significant amount of context to both the person teaching the robot, and the robot itself.

    https://pressroom.toyota.com/tri-teaching-robots-to-help-people-in-their-homes/

The Labour party are very excited about this, especially this bit.

  7. There are so many skeletons in tricky dick Trudeau’s closet.
17yr old student paid 2.25 million to hush the affair that made him move on with his teaching career to a lower paying job. (18 years ago)

    https://buffalochronicle.com/2019/10/10/trudeau-accusor-lands-a-seven-figure-nda-to-keep-quiet-about-his-west-grey-departure/

There are so many similarities between our PTPM and Justin
    >> Globalist before patriot. (treason)
    >> An unabashed international embarrassment for those they think they represent.
    >> Doesn’t lie (much).
    >>Destruction of a countries energy industry for no other reason than being able to claim they did.
    >>Inability to answer a direct question.
    >>Avoidance of any fault or blame (always someone else’s fault)
    >>Being the leader but having no responsibility.
    >>Tie issues up in the courts/ commissions /working groups to prevent having to talk to the media.
    >>Controlling the media (Trudeau has a reward fund to pay the media 600mil a year)
    >> Blind adoption of the climate emergency and carbon tax bullsh*t.

Both Canada and NZ have leaders that have no standards or moral compass.
They excel most of all in obscuring what is really going on and looking surprised when caught out.
They deserve each other! Donald J. Trump was again absolutely right. “Mr and Mrs Socialist” – living the troughers dream.

    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2019/10/government-surplus-should-actually-be-a-30-billion-deficit-sir-roger-douglas.html

“Sir Roger Douglas, the architect of the massive economic reforms of the 1980s dubbed ‘Rogernomics’, claims the recent cash surplus reported by the Government should actually be a $30 billion deficit.

“If you applied accrual accounting in the way they do in the private sector, then you would have to take in the debt for super and for healthcare for future retirees,” he told Newshub Nation on Saturday morning.”

    • “What seems more likely is that Peters begins an active campaign to promote the independence of his party by means of him exerting his veto rights much more frequently than he ha done so far to date. He would also test the Prime Minister’s patience to the limit and beyond in the belief she will give him much latitude to do so before crying enough is enough and sack him from her ministry.”

Cindy wouldn’t sack Peters no matter any shenanigans against the COL. Cindy has proved her leadership style is that of a ‘wet bus ticket’ when it comes discipliny action toward any of her COL. She is ineffective and Winston knows that. The next year is going to be volatile. Time to make the secret 35 page addendum public. I’d love to know what they are hiding!

  12. The local body elections are producing their expected dreary results indicating that spendthrift councils dominated by socialists will carry on wasting resources for another three years. One of the stand-out exceptions is Masterton where we’re blessed with the re-election of Mayor Lyn Patterson. She is an accountant & not overly in favour of waste or profligacy.

But what of Porirua? No results posted so far though interest will be high given the incumbent’s habit of treating ratepayer’s money as his personal treasure chest.

  14. Sitting here on my balcony in Phuket, supping a cold beer, thinking and wondering how the fuck did NZ get into this current shitfest of a situation we find ourselves in. Given that we had great stability before with JK and BE, then all of a sudden NZ has been turned on its head and is spiralling downwards out of control.
I am 55 years of age. I have never seen such a clusterfuck of a government in all of my life. MMP must be kicked for touch, somehow. The tail can no longer be allowed to wag the dog. Labour. Greens and NZ First have no right to be in control of the levers of power or the chequebook. Something has to give.

    0

    0

    • Agreed that MMP is the pits & is producing hopeless governments but the FPP system it replaced wasn’t much better.

Then, elections gave us the choice of Tweedledum or Tweedledumber to be our dictators for three year reigns of terror. Governments were arrogant beyond all belief & worse still the executive held total power.

There has to be a better system than either of these abortions.

  16. Student refuses to answer ‘offensive’ maths question

A 10-year-old schoolgirl has wowed the world with her wisdom after refusing to answer a maths question for the most honourable reason. Rhythm Pacheco was doing her homework when she came across a question that asked her to work out “how much heavier” one female student was from another, news.com.au reports. She pointed out the task was “offensive” to young girls who might already feel insecure about their bodies — and the grade 4 student from Utah in the US wasn’t willing to sacrifice her morals for the sake of learning. Taking her pencil, she drew a circle around the offending question and scribbled: “This is offensive. Sorry I won’t right (sic) this it’s rood (rude).

The rest of the article has gushing praise from her mother, and online lefties, about how she’s made the world a better place by standing up to horrible math questions that judge fat people harshly. Personally, I think she needs to be given more spelling homework! I really don’t think “write” and “rude” are complicated words!

It’s Greta’s fault. She’s made it fashionable to wag school and be rude to world leaders. Not the values of “good education” and “show respect” that I grew up with. I feel sorry for the employers of the future. The schoolchildren who claim to be “inspired” by Greta today will become the illiterate, innumerate workers of the future, completely unable to engage in basic critical reasoning, and useless for anything other than sprinkling garlic salt over fish and chips!.

Having read your comments for many years, I think you’ve been more successful than many people who went to university and graduated with, say, a communications degree. You write better than Jacinda, and I’m sure you speak better English than Jacinda (do you say “absolutely” in every sentence, and do you say “poverdy”?

And, as a farming man, you’ve contributed to productive economic activity and paid taxes to support benefits for bludgers like Philu who choose not to work and who judge you harshly because you were a farmer.
