I hope that you all have a great day and that you DLTBGYU. while going about your lawful business and enjoying autumn in NZ.

And remember, it’s only 272 days until Christmas…

  2. With regards to the University of Auckland having safe spaces for Early Settlers, in this NZ Herald story, the photo of this Geezer caught my interest.

    Shakeel Shamaail.

It seems Mr Shamaail is also an Early Settler for he claims according to the following NZ Herald article, to be “of Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Kurī and Taranaki descent”.

But he ain’t, he is of Indian decent, with Indian parents, so where is the fact checking from the NZ Herald which wants to fact check every other knuckle dragging “Right Wing” individual and correct them. Or is Mr Shamaail Irish, as he claims to be a “Returning Member of the Irish Embassy Youth Council.”

    https://www.friendsofireland.co.nz/youth-council

Now Mr Shamaail, he of Indian descent, is a Maori, just like that. Amazing.

  3. so the party that appointed all the useless it could find to positions where no decisions got made but billions spent on party time is now complaining about some recent hires. Some of which I would question myself.

Will whinger ginger ever stop whinging and get with the program.
Time the govt reviewed the teachers union and the centralised control of that business.
Break it up and male schools responsible for running themselves and chopp a lot of red tape, a thousand teacher classes and pay rates and make headmasters responsible for paying the staff. The best thing that was ever done back in Langes day.

AI revolution: Why the speed of human job losses is causing concern

“Spark is one of the first big tech companies to admit to replacing jobs with AI, but it certainly won’t be the last – and many more companies will be doing it quietly,” says Victoria University senior lecturer Andrew Lensen.

At its half-year result, the telco updated that it was on track for cost savings of $40-50 million this financial year, in part through AI and automation measures.

    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/ai-revolution-why-the-speed-of-human-job-losses-is-causing-concern/HWFPHBD5QJAZFEZ66DG57KVCLU/

But an there is always a but ain’t there.

The second thing he wants is for the Government to get the lay of the land and fast.

Last month, after a survey found most Kiwis were spooked by AI’s dark side, Technology Minister Judith Collins said: “There will be no extra regulation at this stage”.

That’s a stark difference to the AI Act in the EU, or US President Joe Biden’s series of executive orders on artificial intelligence. Individual US states have also taken steps, such as Utah’s Artificial Intelligence Policy Act – passed this month and coming into force May 1 – which requires transparency when businesses use AI. Should the AI deceive consumers, then businesses could be fined an administrative fine of up to US$2500 ($4100) and/or civil penalties up to US$5000 ($8300).

Collins added: “This Government is committed to getting New Zealand up to speed on AI. We have a cross-party AI caucus, which is due to meet soon. Its first step will be providing feedback on the AI framework we are developing to support responsible and trustworthy AI innovation in government, which the public should expect to hear more on in the coming months.”

Been starting to use it a bit myself. Interesting stuff.
If you have a business, find a chat and ask it (tell us what )my business does).

  6. “We shall have World Government, whether or not we like it. The only question is whether World Government will be achieved by consent or conquest.”
    — James Paul Warburg – (B)18/8/1896 – (D) 3/6/1969

James Paul Warburg was a German-born American banker, businessman, and writer. He was well known for being the financial adviser to Franklin D. Roosevelt. His father was banker Paul Warburg, member of the Warburg family and “father” of the Federal Reserve System- (which is neither Federal and has no Reserves).

CONTROL OF THE WORLD LIES NOT IN THE HANDS OF KINGS, QUEENS, DICTATORS, PRESIDENTS, OR MONARCHS. CONTROL OF THE WORLD LIES IN THE HANDS OF CENTRAL BANKS WHO COLLECTIVELY CONTROL THE WORLD ECONOMY, THE FINANCIAL MARKETS, AND THEREFORE THE ENTIRE FINANCIAL SYSTEM. MOREOVER, THEY NOW CONTROL THE NARRATIVE AND THEREFORE THE FLOW OF INFORMATION. (Khazarian cabal)

    YOU WILL BE TOKENIZED.

Currently The World Bank, The International Monetary Fund, and The Bank of International Settlements, (Khazarian cabal) are diligently working towards implementing this new entirely token-based cross-border/trans-world system which will be used to track, trace, log, monitor, market, control, consolidate, and reduce EVERYTHING into a token. A token which itself can be reduced to nothing more than “a thing serving as a digital representation of something else.”

Tokenization is simple, and incredibly cost effective. Tokenization eliminates the need for ANY asset to “be converted” into something else for transactions to take place anywhere in the world, (trans-world). This IS The Universal New World/One World System.

  7. When citizens abdicate their democratic duty, when the media abandons its responsibilities, when judges become political activists, when academics are intolerant of open inquiry, and when governments are subverted by an ideology – that is when a corporate tribal elite emerges to encircle the commons, that is to privatise what belongs to the public, to us the people, and to govern not in our interests but for themselves. It is in this way wealth & power are merged.

  9. I understand that iwi are said to be collectivist. Has it been your experience that an iwi (or hapu) will help its members? Or is this narrative of “Maori sharing and caring for each other” (unlike the European Pakeha) a myth? Are the heads of tribes highly individualistic and likely to enrich themselves before helping other (more needy) members of their iwi? (After all, it is basic human nature to want to feather your nest.)

If I were cynical, I would say that it is important to maintain a permanent underclass in your iwi so that you can maintain your “victim” status (and sense of moral superiority).

They sat down in the kitchen, and Emma took a deep breath before she spoke.

    “I’m pregnant, Mom

Sarah couldn’t believe what she was hearing, her eyes were wide open and she couldn’t calm down.

“WHAT?! How could this happen?!” she exclaimed.

“It happened during a school project.”

Emma looked nervously at her mother and tried to explain.

“Well… It happened while working on a school project for our Life Orientation class.

We were experimenting with how life begins. You know how children are born and such,” said Ida.

“Okay… I see where this is going. But who’s the father? We must contact him at once Emma!”

Her daughter, with a regretful look on her face, answered:

“I don’t know mom, it was a group project.”

    https://www.1news.co.nz/2024/03/28/two-charged-after-stokes-valley-siblings-suffer-alleged-abuse/
Two people have been charged as police investigate how two siblings suffered horrific injuries in Stokes Valley, Lower Hutt.

Aged four and five years old, it took weeks to understand the full extent of their injuries, which they needed surgery for, police said last week.

They both had a “multitude” of broken bones and extensive bruising. One child had brain bleeds and severe internal injuries.

Today, a 25-year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, wilful ill-treatment of a dog, attempting to pervert the course of justice and selling cannabis and cultivating cannabis.

A 25-year-old woman has also been charged with two counts of failing to protect a child, two counts of attempting to pervert the course of justice, and failure to carry out obligations in relation to a computer search.

NZ Rugby chairwoman Dame Patsy Reddy has confirmed she will resign if she doesn’t get her way over the new suggested independent governance of NZ Rugby.
The Provincial Unions want at least three members on the NZR Board with two years of provincial board experience.
“Having at least three people who can’t be considered unless they have provincial experience, that’s an artificial hurdle and it’s not true to the spirit of an independent board.”
Get that – apparently it is not a hurdle when the new board must have at least 40% female members and at least 2 members must be Maori.

  18. Dreamtime maths

Cresta Richardson, the head of the Queensland Teachers’ Union, declared that the 1.3 million children in Australia preparing to sit this year’s Naplan test should be spared the ordeal because it is too stressful for them. It is not surprising Richardson is calling for a boycott of testing, because Naplan testing exposes the complete failure of our education sector to teach people how to read, write and add up.

The consensus seems to be that children should be taught things like statistics and algebra, not because these will furnish them with necessary life skills such as planning budgets or finding the best prices for products bought and sold, but because it will give them a deeper appreciation of Aboriginal dance, corroborees and dreamtime. Not so long ago, this was called anthropology.

    • A ship lost power and collided with a bridge pier. That’s what happened. Many years ago I worked for one of NZ’s few shipping companies. In one memorable period we had one ship lose a prop while leaving Sydney and another suffered a fire in her switch room resulting in both being out of action for weeks. I don’t recall anyone suggesting any exterior influence. Just bloody bad luck!

      • Aitch, exactly, I chartered a Bulgarian State Line vessel some years ago for a cargo of 10,000 mt Soviet Potash for the Ceylon Tea Corp. While traversing the Red Sea the vessel hit a mine that Islamic Jihadists had planted at the entrance to the Port of Jeddah (to prevent Naval use of the Port) whilst the Iranian Moozies attacked Mecca in 1979. Some mines broke free and my Chartered vessel hit one of these mines in 1984, as it happily bobbed around the Red Sea, the vessel promptly sank.

I had another vessel I chartered with a cargo of Fish Meal from Tocopilla in Chile to Kaoshiung in Taiwan, because the Master did not purge the hold, the cargo had heat buildup and spontaneously burst into flame, the vessel was badly damaged.

        No outside influence there.

And then there was the “Pacific Charger” at Bearing Head in in 1981. Dumbness prevailed there, but no outside influence. Same with the “Rena” off Tauranga.

Our exchange is near the end of life.
Today we installed new 2degrees broadband phones. Switch over next week on Wednesday.
First in NZ to have the new phones they are supplying. True I was a bit blown away when talking to the man at 2 degrees.
The walkabout phones have no cables, all wifi and just a base station.
Set the internet going today. 900 down and 500 up. That is standard now. Could have higher if I needed but don’t.
The phones have a programmable exchange that is cloud based. so gave them how I want them to work and it all comes preprogrammed and I can reprogram them if I need.

Some may know that cloud based systems have been around for while and that’s true. Its the gear at our end that’s the cool bit.
And its cheaper than our old costs.
      whats not to like.

The jobs going are going because of gear like thisand the use of AI. to do mundane stuff. If you have to interact with fibre company they are using AI to answer your questions.
No need for the operator any more.

Law Commission says change needed to ease tikanga evidence into court

The Law Commission wants changes to improve the way tikanga and mātauranga evidence is handled by courts.

Speaking on recommendations coming out of a review of the Evidence Act, commission president Amokura Kawharu says statements handed down from tūpuna are treated as hearsay and therefore unreliable. Kawharu said there needs to be a way it can be admitted into court as evidence.

A code of conduct for expert witnesses also needs to be modified so tribal experts or kaumātua can give evidence on tikanga based on mātauranga and lived experience.

Sure I know, but then surely what ever I say with real gold bling swinging from my neck, plus those glossy gold rings etc. also must have as much standing too. 🙂

Or the courts simply see me as a 2nd rate citizen, a subject, a serf;–
well it is always good to know the the truth how the elite systemic justice elite see us. 🙂
