  1. I went for drinks at Sky City last night. There were a few MPs and a number of people in different positions in their electorates. I will not name names but there were mixed views on freedom of speech. I gave my views quite strongly to those who believe in restricting it. National needs a strong point of difference on some issues and free speech should be one of those issues. I look forward to the start of the conference in a couple of hours.

    • Thanks for reporting back Chuck. Appalling that there are National party members who believe in restrictions on free speech. Are they sure they are in the right party? Seems they would be more suited to Labour or the Greens.

    • Thanks for the update Chuck. The only way we will get them to change is if you name the fuckers who do not wish to uphold the tenet of free speech. Only then will we know who NOT to give our electorate votes to.
Let me know who they are and I will put their names on here for all to see. National do not need them in it’s midst.

    • The only question is why are you surprised?
      I’m certainly not.
They are plonkers like the rest of em. Only one with any principles around personal responsibility is Seymour.

    • Hi Chuck. Please ask them why they rolled over on the Gun Legislation. I am very tempted to vote Act in the next election purely on his issue. And I think they need to know this…..

      • That was the last straw for me. I was already disappointed with how limp the opposition already was before the gun legislation. So many prime opportunities to humiliate the Col Govt. How about that Louisa Wall? She’s still pissed off about that very accurate political cartoon!

        • You leave her alone. What is it about strong women you lot dont like? you must have a small dicks if you feel threatened by these women.

          • lol I don’t think that she is a strong woman, and as for dicks, i wouldn’t be at all surprised if there was a bit of penis envy going on there. Why do you hate men so much?

Strong women are not threatened by others opinions, they might not agree with the opinions, but accept that they are as entitled to theirs as anyone else. Your world view is very narrow.

          • Strong women don’t wear hijabs sorry.
Only servile cowered women wear garb like that.
Disappointing to see a self avowed feminist stoop herself down to the level of repressive barbarians.

          • If Louisa is a “strong woman” she certainly doesn’t needs a scrawny little unicorn to fight her battles for her. Is it that Louisa is arrogant but not very bright that is actually her problem?, or that she is another one cloaked in her virtue signalling Marxism over everyone else’s rights – yes, that it. What do you reckon to that Fd?

          • My mama, my wife, my mother-in-law, and even my 5-year old daughter are STRONG women let me tell ya! That’s not the issue- how dare that beetch suggest suppressing freedom of speech.

        • The solution needed is more political cartoons not less. Do we have any clever cartoonists willing to put their head above the parapet and publish parodies of the CoL?

    • “This terrorism seems to have utterly dispensed with the old rules of engagement. Its battleground is as likely to be a church, school or queue of children as it is land claimed by a military outfit.
It follows no moral code whatsoever. Its defining feature is a glaring and terrifying absence of moral restraint. Anything is acceptable. Anyone can be killed.”

Scary stuff. Thanks for posting Tinman

    • If you do nothing else, read the link above. Very sobering. I have posted before that we are in a Total War with these extremists and nothing less than the total extermination of them and their support base will ever result in peace in our time.

      • I do think war is coming to Europe…just a matter of when. Some countries will fold instantly just like WW 2 (but through political correctness rather than tanks and artillery), and maybe some will take back what’s rightfully theirs. The most popular boys name in England is Mohammed. Methinks that is very disturbing. Gaddafi once said muslims will conquer Europe without a shot being fired.

    • With some NZ’s interpretation of looking for NZ white supremacist links with a mixture of quotes drawn for New Zealand’s newshub that mixes things from world wide context.
      https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/world/2019/04/unprecedented-surge-in-online-violent-extremism-after-christchurch-terror-attack.html

that pulls from the Daily Beast https://www.thedailybeast.com/new-zealand-shooting-white-supremacists-and-jihadists-feed-off-each-other?ref=scroll
that is drawing things from the Sun-Herald, Sydney Morning Herald, Storm Front, Vanguard News, that all Newshub seems to be drawing conclusions about NZ white supremacists, making them to be a full on bogey man.
Still interesting reading, as the Daily Beast also links with ISIS and other islamist protagonists.

  3. What’s with the police these days. First they open up “Kmart for Guns” in Palmy ( First 11 free! with your first order) and then I read this…https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/crime/112253652/that-was-dumb-murderer-paul-tainui-said-inside-police-booze-bus

Quote “I recall thinking Tainui appeared to be fairly secretive or sketchy in what he was doing. He looked as though he was concealing … items in his puffer jacket.”

And the cops just let him go…..

  4. So Jacinda wears the hijab again while visiting the mosque with Prince William and also gives him a nose rub to welcome him.
One could say this is gross “cultural appropriation” but it also makes you wonder where she would draw the line when it comes to adopting others cultural traditions.
Bit of FGM at a baby shower maybe or how about cook a cat for Chinese New Year just to show how inclusive and tolerant you are.

    • Guy is not a vibrant so has no publicity value for all the appeasers.
Can’t wear a hijab, can’t have a call to prayer, can’t offer him residency, could give him ACC but because he actually worked and was not dirt poor it would not have the same effect.
So what is left,a karakia maybe?.

  7. It was revealed by the Real Estate Institute this week that, in some parts of Auckland, the median residential property sale price in the six months to the end of March was 30 per cent less than in the same period the year before.

Mt Albert had the biggest price slump, followed by Royal Oak.

Data from Homes.co.nz shows that the median capital gain across Auckland in the past six months, for properties bought and sold within the past two years, was about $40,000.

    Mt Albert and Royal Oak.
Well it doesn’t take rocket science to figure out why does it.

Do the works Helen Clark and Muslim enclave say anything?

    it will get worse.

If you own property there GET OUT QUICK.

    • First world issue and not worth worrying about or commenting on. Interesting the fuss some make about incidentals that don’t even concern them, or is it because we are women we have a right to condemn the girl for not shaving her own underarm hair? Funny old world. ?

      • It is all about conformity to an artificial norm, bodies have most things for a reason, surely photo shopping should be banned. Fake everything is the new norm. Good for her for being an individual and for the company for recognising that.

  8. Government looking to make age classification for on-demand video such as Netflix and Lightbox mandatory.

    https://www.stuff.co.nz/business/112284449/new-internet-tv-rules-could-mean-less-confusion-for-parents-but-a-longer-wait-for-shows

More regulation that will result in Netflix content taking longer to be listed and the service may cost more due to age restrictions being mandatory. Does anyone take notice of age restrictions? Only adults in our house but we will still have to pay for others lack of parenting.

  9. Breaking News:

Police in South Auckland just announced the discovery of an arms cache of 2000 semi automatic rifles with 250,000 rounds of ammunition, 10 anti-tank missiles, 4 grenade launchers, 500Kg of P , $50 million in forged NZ banknotes & 25 trafficked Thai prostitutes, all in a state house unit behind the Public Library in Otara.

    Local residents were stunned.

    A community spokesman said:

“We’re totally shocked. We never knew we had a fucking Library!!”

      • I suspect that JB is aiming for a spectacular banning from KB. Alas I’m unsure that there will be anyone left to witness it.

DPF, our formerly secular & atheistic host may have been converted by itinerant Godbotherers. Could have been the Mormons or possibly the Islamists but my mildest rebuttals of sorcery or the supernatural are being mercilessly binned by the moderators who I suspect have been recruited from the bowels of Wellington’s Catholic Cathedral.

The Godnutters are taking over the world!
