    • Thanks L:izziep. We made the mistake this morning of going down to the local Mitre10 and it was packed with garden shoppers and DIY’ers and their trailers. Almost no wind but still a little cold for the seedlings.
Happy gardening, holidaying or whatever you are indulging in everyone.

  1. WATCH – James Younger at 3 Years: ‘Mommy Tells Me I’m a Girl’
    https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/10/24/watch-james-younger-at-3-years-mommy-tells-me-im-a-girl/

“The battle between Younger and Georgulas intensified last year when James’s mother threatened Younger with a child abuse charge because he would not affirm their son is a transgender child.

Georgulas petitioned to modify the parent-child relationship while referring to James as a “gender expansive or transgender child” who “by choice, now goes by the name Luna.”

James’s mother sought to terminate Younger’s parental rights because James behaved as a boy when he was with his father. Georgulas also wanted Younger to pay for their son’s counseling with a therapist who will affirm his transgender identity and his need for transgender hormonal treatments, which may begin at age eight.

The court prohibited Younger from dressing him as a boy or from sharing faith-based or biologically-based scientific teachings on sexuality, even though family friends who have observed James when he is in his father’s care reportedly affirm he dresses and behaves as a boy by his own choosing.”

This is child abuse. The mother and the complicit jury are completely deranged woke arseholes.

  2. Barry Soper says Winston Peter’s and NZ First have delivered because of the Euthanasia Referendum but if this gets Winston First back for another term in Parliament you can blame David Seymour for selling his sole to Winston to make sure his Euthanasia bill was a success.
    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=12279528
This is David Seymours success not Winston’s and even though I am against it my argument is that people on here and other blogs won’t tolerate National doing deals with devil but are prepared to support David Seymour when he does a deal with the worst devil of all.

    • I know the disdain is palpable but this may come in handy the next time Mike Smith or any seeker of reparations gets in your face.
      Fight fire with fire.

Tama-arero is a personification of lying. Depending on your tone, it can be a more politic way to call someone out for fibbing than most terms for liars.

      He uri koe nā Tama-arero?
Are you a descendant of liars? (Are you just making up stories?)

This will be a good test for the “international judiciary”. If this case gets anywhere near a court room then we know the system is stuffed.
OMV have every legal right to do what they are doing as the does the NZ Government in giving them the contractual right to explore.

    • “Smith is currently in Vienna, Austria where the OMV headquarters is based. He held a media conference outside their offices to announce the legal challenge.”

“Smith recently travelled to Mexico where he met with indigenous leaders from central and southern American tribes and First Nations people in Canada. He also attended the United Nations Indigenous Caucus earlier this year.”

How is Smith flying to all these international meetings without use of oil based aviation fuel. Hypocrisy much! 😵

  3. ‘Total disregard for sustainability’ – Family accused of black market crayfish ring
    https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/total-disregard-sustainability-family-accused-black-market-crayfish-ring

“Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) fisheries officers and police have busted a “black market” East Coast seafood poaching operation.

MPI said in a statement that they believed the operation was being run by members of an extended family, with seafood sold to buyers around Kawerau and Rotorua.

Many of the crayfish seized in the operation were undersized, MPI said, and they believe the ring was taking regular hauls of up to 250 crayfish at a time, in contravention of the Fisheries Act.

MPI said 169 crayfish were seized in five raids across Poverty Bay and Bay of Plenty over the past two days, as well as kina, diving gear, two vehicles and a boat.”

  4. Hey Ed: It just took 10 seconds to load the site on my phone while the irritating little squares blocked out the content.

HYS has been up for 2 hours and has only attracted 15 comments and just a paltry one or two ticks for each of them.

I own two businesses and I run websites for each of them, so believe me when I say that a 10 second loading time leads viewers to just click off. 3 to 4 seconds is the generally accepted time delay, which can be extended to 5 seconds if some of the site is visible while it loads.

But greying out the site and irritating the viewers’ eye is a major turn-off and it will lead to a false impression of viewing numbers as, for every hundred visitors, only 10 will stay long enough to get through the irritating red squares.

I’m not just nitpicking. I’m trying to be genuinely helpful as I really like YSB and I want you to succeed.

    Cheers

    • All done. no more squares. I didn’t know they could be removed. The site developers tell me that the new comment field cannot be shifted to the bottom. Something about the theme having it set at the top. He is working on getting them to change the plugin for comments.

        • You can bet no one will be fully satisfied.
I can only do what I can do. It would be more helpfull if you all explained in plain English what you want. Take sooty’s reply below as an example. What am I supposed to take from that comment?

          • True, I don’t think you’ll ever be able to make everybody happy.

The only bugbear for me is the indentation on a mobile phone. I get in front of a PC maybe once a day and keeping up with YSB outside of that is impossible – on a Samsung Note 9 you can literally not see who is responding to who – because apart from the first comment on a topic, everything else is indented to the same level.

I’m starting to stay away because it’s not much fun being unable to follow the conversations. Of course, I’m more productive as well so maybe not all bad then 🙂

            • The reason why the nested comments can’t be seen on mobile due to the sceensize. On PC the comments can go to 10 level 10. You can reply to comments and then even reply to that reply and then even to that reply and it will be shown nested on PC/laptop but due to mobile screen size WordPress won’t allow that otherwise website won’t be reesponsive
The more comments just makes it worse.

        • Yes, I could not find a Have Your Say until midday.
I thought you were having a long weekend!
It seems that I have to refresh (F5) and log in far more often than I should do.
Where is this blog designed? Yugoslavia ?
I am sure we all appreciate your efforts.
But surely there is mature reliable blog software available off the shelf. (after 20 years of blogging)

            • Hi Sooty, I don’t know if it is the same for PCs as I have a Mac but all I do at night is click out of the YSB window. I don’t log out of YSB as the computer puts itself “to sleep”. I don’t switch my laptop off. In the morning it is just a matter of opening up the window and YSB is ready to go. No need to log in as I don’t log out. Works for me. and as far as I know that’s all you need to do.

              0

              0

            • No need to log out.
However I run two browsers- Brave and Chrome.
I have Firefox but with Brave dont bother any more.

I have these on each of a MS Win 7 PC and a Win 10 PC
A phenomenon with Chrome is that if you close it and reopen it it clears logins. One is supposed to be able to tell it to not do this but never got that to work. Evil Google lies.
Brave does not clear logins -until you willfully select clear browsing data AND select passwords to clear even when PC turned off.

One has to close Chrome fairly often as it builds up a truck load of crap and basically gets ‘confused’ or it is is simply being evil as Google became in 2013 after it dropped its fake news ‘dont be evil’ claim.

I use Chrome mainly for Maps and to use chromecast for watching videos. It certainly loads up a lot more crap for the same sites one visits. It also now, from recently, tells me to turn off adblocker on a number of sites and tells be to allow them into my PC.
Sorry evil Google I just go to the other Browser.
Eat my shorts if you want that ad revenue!

In summary, closing Google Chrome browser logs you out.
No need to close every time you stop using it.
You can minimize the screen or put PC into sleep /hibernate mode without closing.
              From MS based PC POV.
Chrome is now 80% shit in order to reflect Google.
Fear not- Google’s owner Alphabet is developing self drive cars so you can really, really safe..or not.

  5. How NZ First’s youth wing overturned the party’s pill-testing policy
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2019/10/how-nz-first-s-youth-wing-overturned-the-party-s-pill-testing-policy.html

“Appearing on Newshub Nation on Saturday, Woodward said the party hadn’t consulted with its youth wing before coming out against pill-testing.

“I wouldn’t say we broke ranks necessarily – we broke the current position,” he told host Simon Shepherd. “But we did have a good amount of support from our MPs. That really shines light on the fact that we are a party that’s really looking to our youth to start the conversation.

Woodward said party leader Winston Peters didn’t give his personal views, as he was chairing the meeting.”

The young are so naive. Winston didn’t give his personal views because he had already made it plain to everyone that he didn’t agree with pill testing. Unless Winston has lost the killer political instinct he is famous for he will let young Mr Woodward know in no uncertain terms that he is out of favour for overriding his leaders wishes.

  6. (((Facebook))) Donates $2.5 Million To (((ADL)))

Facebook, one of the world’s leading internet giants that is owned and controlled by left-leaning Jews like Mark Zuckerberg and Sheryl Sandberg, recently announced it would be donating $2.5 million to the Anti-Defamation League, a Jewish supremacist organization dedicated to shutting down the First Amendment, eliminating criticism and factual statements about Jewish power and influence in the world, and promoting homosexuality, transgenderism, and massive Third World immigration into America.

  7. Travelled over to Kaitaia for lunch today & was privileged to use the new Taipa Bridge now open with two lanes. A magnificent structure decorated by four useless pieces of concrete attached to the ends. These are presumably positioned to suggest a waka to boost the childlike mana of the natives.

It took over three years to erect the new concrete waka & dismantle the old one. At the peek of activity as many as six men could be seen working on the structure supported by upwards of fifteen expert road coners & stop/go sign holders.

Seldom have so many been employed for so long to achieve so little!

    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/world/2019/10/microsoft-edges-out-amazon-to-win-us-10-billion-pentagon-cloud-computing-contract.html

“The Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure Cloud (JEDI) contract is part of a broader digital modernization of the Pentagon meant to make it more technologically agile. Specifically, a goal of JEDI is to give the military better access to data and the cloud from battlefields and other remote locations.”

  9. The boy had been watching repeats of “Father Ted” on the telly & asked his old man, “Do you reckon Father Ted fucked choirboys up the arse Dad”?

“No”, he replied “He’s an actor, not a real Priest”.

  10. Some clever clogs did some investigation work on Christine Blasey Ford.

Her grandfather, Nicholas Deak was a well-known CIA agent for decades.
Her father, Ralph Blasey II ran three CIA front companies.
    Red Coats Inc.
    Datawatch and
    Admiral Security Systems.
Her brother, Ralph Blasey III once worked for the law firm Baker Hostetler
which was behind the creation of Fusion GPS and subsequently the
dossier used to start the Russian collusion investigation.

Oh yeah, Brett Kavanaugh drank some beer in college.

Scientology Leader David Miscavige Served in Hollywood Child-Trafficking Lawsuit

Children are restricted and limited to sleep and do not receive adequate education, she alleged. They are also allegedly coached to lie and/or conceal information concerning the abuses within Scientology to the public, family, authorities and non-Scientologists.
