Can’t agree with “stupid”. More likely scared into being vaccinated by the government of the time (Jacinda, etc.) or forced into being vaccinated to keep their jobs.
My wife had/has a few medical issues and was scared into taking the covid vaccine. I decided not to take an unproven “vaccine”.
She got covid and shared it with me. She was in poor shape for several weeks, I got over it in a few days. Neither of us have gotten covid again, but both of our neighbour’s (who got vaccinated in order to travel) have caught covid several times.
So the big question is what will happen differently when another pandemic hits our shores? Has our government come up with a better pandemic plan?
