  3. Can someone tell me which is the worse crime breaking a a suppression order of someone that murdered a person that has just been convicted or covering a a rape and turning a blind eye to a deviate out of the Prime Ministers office.
    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/politics/news/article.cfm?c_id=280&objectid=12288014
While I do agree there shouldn’t be posting the killers name Judges shouldn’t be putting these orders in place after some one has been convicted and what about another sex deviate that committed sexual assaults at the young Labour Summer Camp given name suppression and then the result of what has happened never to be heard of again , so Andrew do your job properly as Justice Minister and don’t pick the ones to be quiet unlike one or two of the sex offences that have been tied down to Labour Party members.

    • Hi Happy check out uber feminist Ali Mau going full #metoo over the Grace Millane trial notice the difference between this article and her eventual covering (one article from memory) of the sex perverts from Labours youth camp and the alleged rapist in Arderns office, i guess if you are besties with Ardern & co & get paid thousands for hosting a Labour law & order conference you so called principles go out the door rather rapidly
She makes good points though that poor girls life laid bare like that was quite sickening to watch especially the intimate details gleefully reported everyday by our legacy media

      • There is no “victim” until the conviction.

This is part of a move towards reverse onus, combined with preventing any defense.

That is why I’m so fired up about this case. I see the bigger picture and a brief perusal of media confirms my worst fears.

  4. National mulling ‘targets and results’ system to get cases through courts faster

    https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/national-mulling-targets-and-results-system-speed-up-courts-criminal-case-processing?auto=6108481487001

“Simon Bridges says the National Party is proposing “creative and bold” measures to fix the country’s “broken” justice system.

Mr Bridges believes introducing performance measures could help speed the system up.

“We are talking about the idea of targets and results, we have seen these applied in other areas like DHB’s for example,” Mr Bridges said.”

    • yes great news.
From the few times I have been in court
The judges keep setting things back a few weeks – wasting time and money
The lawyers speak far too slowly when asking questions!

      7

      0

      • Jesus wept Bridges. I can excuse Diggy but Simon is a lawyer.

Shoving cases through, to meet arbitrary targets set by politicians to win votes – is an appalling idea.

Never been before the Court as a respondent or defendant myself, but I know many of you law and order freaks would scream bloody murder if you were dealt with that way.

With great power comes great responsibility and Court proceedings have a huge effect on people’s lives.

        6

        0

    • Great. While you’re doing that Simon the rest of us are contemplating which other party actually represents the
centre-right/conservative vote in New Zealand and who to vote for accordingly. Because we know who it isn’t.

      6

      0

      • For me that is the New Conservatives
It could have been ACT, but they have had no traction for the last 2 elections at least.
Without Epsom, they would have disappeared.

David Seymour believes in made made Climate Change
The New Conservatives believe in giving business and farmers a fair go as they produce the nations wealth.
They would pull out of the Paris Accord

        4

        5

        • ACT is not a conservative party. Their policies are mainly classical liberal. I am not surprised they don’t appeal to you.

But, you were talking about spoiled votes for ACT. New Conservatives has no electoral seat, they don’t even have a foothold in a seat where they have a chance. They have no electoral history, nothing in polling. And no policy, just emotional twaddle.

And you believe they will hit 5% and help guarantee a loss for Labour?

Share some of whatever you are smoking, Dig.

          10

          0

          • No party other than National or Labour have a chance of getting an electorate seat
(Or the Maori Party in a Maori electorate)
(Act only gets there because of the National party gifting it to them)
Getting to 5% is a big ask.
The Greens and NZF could both go under that this election
The Old Conservatives under CC got to 3.97% in 2014

            3

            1

            • By their growth in the polls and the visible support ACT has I don’t think “National Party gifting them a seat” is a reasonable judgement anymore. They’ve shown themselves to be the one party in government that actually stands for the rights of New Zealanders. They have appeal across the political spectrum and they are not an authoritarian party.

Besides, we haven’t seen a contested Epsom before either. They could win it outright without needing any directive from National.

But let’s see something. You’re so confident that nobody except Labour and National can win electoral seats and that New Conservatives will still make it to parliament that you’ll throw not only your name and opinion, but also your vote after them. So how much money would you be willing to wager on New Conservatives reaching the 5% threshold without an electoral seat?

I’m not proposing a wager at this stage, but I am curious – how sure are you about this?

              5

              0

            • We had a survey call on Sunday – 1 vote for New Conservative from here. Last time we were called 1 vote went to ACT and there was no change. Will see what happens this time. It was the TVNZ one.

          • Sadly Notional has usually put up drippy dicks in Epsom.
I have been here in most elections since the 1980s and they have been poor Notional candidates.
David Seymour has grown so well this term and shown that being an Undersecretary under the Notional Govt last term held him back from his abilities.

Christine Fletcher (1990 to 99) was a burnt out emotional wreck before 40 and got all sooky while an MP.
She also lied when elected as Mayor for Auckland and said she would resign as an MP.
This was in 1998 but she stayed on as MP to get the nine years to 1999 and secure future pensions. She basically flew down Tues and back Wed eve.
She was a one term Mayoral wonder (people wondered when she would say something intelligent) but has been smelling out Council chambers ever since.

Fletcher was a Proof of Concept that you can put a drovers dog in Notional bunting in Epsom and they will collect votes.

Fletcher was replace by Richard Worth who was certainly full of his own self-worth but was eventually drop kicked out of Parliament in 2009 after he was Harvey Weinsteined out of the place.
Sounds like his favourite fish is Grouper!

Then eternal school boy Paul Goldsmith skipped along.
The one who was commissioned by National to write the book on Don Brash and there were all sorts of subterfuge rolled out to make it sound like an ‘independent’ book. Yeah right.

Then Goldsmith wrote a book on John Banks and stood against him in the 2011 Epsom election.
            Well not really.
You see the former National Party Minister (and man who succeeded Christine Fletcher as Mayor of Auckland ) was standing for ACT this time and, well, had a cup of tea with Mr. Key.
Two Johns just having a chat and no prostitutes in sight! Unless you count the flocked media.

So John -the Banks one, won- and John B. and Paul G. both ended up in Parliament in 2011.
Sadly John’s memory faded – badly- and he got confused about cabbage boats and whether he had come up the river or down the river and it was all very confusing so Mr Banks exited but Mr Goldsmith stays on with a faux sincerity that would make Julie Andrews blush.

AFAIR Rodney Hide had to contest Epsom in 2005 and was not given a free pass.
Eternal communist Keith Locke said he would run naked down the street if Hide won.
The communist solution was to wear budgie smugglers and body paint. Present one solution but deliver another!

Don Brash was leader of Nats then and fairly anal. Still is.
So did not give ACT a free pass.
But then a few years later was leader of ACT.
Cripes it is starting to sound like Knots Landing.
From 2008 and that charming Mr. Keys, the accommodation began.
Mr Keys of course lives in Epsom but was MP for Helensville and even knocked Helen off her perch to become PM.

            Ah, the Peccadilloes of Epsom.

      • That is the benefit of democracy you have a choice of what Party you want and believe of everyone to there own but remember, someone has to lead a party and the decisions so don’t come back and whinge if your vote turns to shit and we end up with Jacinda, Winston and the Greens for another three years.

          So True
My main goal is to get National back in as I despise Labour and the Greens
So when I vote I will decide if there could be a support party for National
In the meantime I am supporting the New Conservatives

                • A true liberal party. They’ve even drawn a closet socialist / greenie like Kea to vote for them; so there is some hope they can pillage votes from freedom loving voters across the spectrum.

Reality is though, they’re all fighting for a decreasing share of the vote. With full media control and therefore thought control for the majority of New Zealand; the country is a socialist, welfare state. Any level of corruption, including buying policy, is now accepted by the socialist elite. The leaders are allowed to sexually abuse others and it is swept away by our compliant media. The population has been disarmed and their right to free speech is being removed by all parties in government but one. We are no longer a liberal democracy. All we’re doing is picking whether we want red welfare or blue welfare in control of our lives.

There needs to be a major shake up in New Zealand before that can change.

  5. A woman goes to the doctor and tells him she has been married three times but has never been able to consummate a marriage. Of course he asks her to explain. She tells the doctor her first husband had a heart attack after the service and her second husband was hit by a bus just as they were starting the honeymoon. The doctor is sympathetic but tells her it’s not her fault. “ Well, she said, it’s the third husband that’s the problem. We have been married three years.”. “You better tell me about this one” said the doctor. “I am married to Winston and all he does is sit on the end of the bed and tell me how good it is going to be.”

  6. Last night’s lecture by a climate change alarmist at Waikato Uni was interesting. I will be phoning Peter Williams on Talk Magic to tell him what happened this morning.

    5

    1

    • I could not get through. I have emailed the station. Might try later. Peters will be on after 10 am news.

      2

      0

    • I first had to sit through this clown who introduced the three speakers. He rattled on for a for nearly ten minutes. One imparticular, Tim Naish knew more than God about what the climate would be in the future. He than mentioned the two sponsors for the night’s lecture. He said they were totally unbias. What a lie. There clown’s incomes depend on government funding. He then mentioned the type of questions allowed. There should should be no statements just questions to the “experts”. I wonder if he heard I was coming.

I waited for a couple of questions and then asked if he would be prepared to debate his opinions with an expert with a differerent view such as Dr Patrick Moore. He came out with the BS about 99% of experts agreed with him. I thought the BS claim was 97%. Then some student piped up with some dergoatary comment about Dr Partick Moore which Naish supported. I tried to argue that the best why to get to the truth was to have a debate with an exchange of ideas idealy with a debate. The climate fraudsters are not interested in the truth just dragging in big salaries.

One positive thing was at the end of the lecture was that a professor who was sitting behind be started taking to me about CO2. We carried on to the lobby. He was far more honest than Naish. He admited that it helped with their funding if there alarmed the public. I asked him if he would repeat this to an MP? He was none to keen. The link below should be helpful.

  7. Latest email newsletter from Simon Bridges:

    Dear

In this month’s Bridges Brief I catch up with Jennifer & Garth from Heilala Vanilla and Pat and his team at Bridge IT NZ, and it was my pleasure to attend the official opening of Accessible Properties brand new, fit for purpose, apartments on Cameron Road.

We’ve released 6 Discussion Documents, with another due tomorrow. These documents are part of the biggest policy development process undertaken by an Opposition ever. But our policy can’t be made without your feedback. Plus I’ll explain why I’m on checking out the Met Office long range forecast.

You can read more in my November Bridges Brief by clicking here.
    https://simonbridges.national.org.nz/bridges_brief_november_2019?utm_campaign=bridges_brief_november2019&utm_medium=email&utm_source=nationalpartytauranga

“What Bridge It is seeing is a result of this Government’s lack of investment infrastructure. People are taking longer to make decisions on contracts, and that’s because this Government has driven down growth and business confidence by adding costs, creating uncertainty and demonstrating incompetence, particularly around infrastructure.

We now have a lag in infrastructure because the Government has stopped high quality projects that were ready to go, and haven’t started any new ones, and its impacting everyone from your large players like Fulton Hogan, to our smaller ones like Bridge It.”

    Kind regards, Simon

    • Business Confidence is down in just about every survey every time it comes out.
Ardern and Robertson trying to talk it up
Unemployment up in Taranaki to 6%!
      No new roads!

But unfortunately people do not seem to think that these are reasons to stop supporting the COL

      I’ve done two of them
They are very long and detailed.
The one on education amazed me, National want to support so many programs for this, programs for that.
When I went to school we just had teachers and one careers officer.

  8. News Hub banging on about Climate Change

    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/world/2019/11/carbon-dioxide-levels-hit-new-high.html

The article says there is more carbon in the atmosphere, and our efforts are failing.

They mentioned the Paris accord and the fact that the USA are dragging rh chain.
They forget to mention that two other big emitters China and India only pledged to think about reducing their emissions after 2030.
In the meantime they are building lots of coal fired power stations
So are large countries like Vietnam and Turkey.

So our emissions are a drop in the bucket, and we should be left alone.

    11

    0

    • What a load of rubbish that is DN.
” Scientists say a safe level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere would be about 350 parts per million.” 350ppm is getting down near dangerous levels for survival of plants etc –ie food.
He forgets to mention how crop yields are up because of higher CO2 levels and how the planet is greening. Is all that some how bad for us?
I note that they have that idiot Renwick on again pushing the Govt line.

      10

      0

    • The yanks are not dragging the chain along with China & India they have basically told the UN scum to go fk themselves and we will not be left alone while the mad queen does everything to appease her globalist masters while also looking to secure a future gig for when Kiwis wake up and turf the hag out on her ass

  9. Education, but juggled on the Poverty needs equity to counterbalance.
The CoL did a version of this by closing down the Charter Schools.

These Board members were voted in, but regardless where thousands of submission opposed, and only 150 submissions supported the proposal, still the brain washed supported it.
Like in NZ., Vote them out! Find and support our leaders with principles, and use that cohesion that was apparent, like at this “open meeting”.

~ The Howard County, Maryland, school board voted to implement a massive, 1970s-style busing program Thursday, despite overwhelming opposition.
~ After one vote failed, members went into a back room, and when they came out, one of the members who voted “no” was crying. They did a do-over and she changed her vote.
~Board member Jennifer Mallo lectured to constituents who voiced displeasure, saying it was a “privilege” that they got to witness the meeting, admonishing them not criticize her on social media, and complaining about her salary.
~Immigrants from China and the former Soviet Union said that what they were witnessing reminded them of the totalitarian regimes where they grew up.

the board received 6,650 pieces of verbal and written testimony opposing the plan and 150 pieces of testimony in support of it.
    https://amp.dailycaller.com/2019/11/23/howard-school-busing-crying-socialism

How much different is our Government? and ‘tick boxers’?
Like the District Council, needs to comply with Regional Council directives, and Regional Council must comply with national Government directives,
At this stage national Government in critical parts is very exposed to Green policy and directions, and so the bureaucratic minions that have had to bide their time, and now like the genie out of the bottle, and figure this is their time. 🙁

So Poverty, Equity, are being leveraged to force through other dubious policies, like the equality of outcomes.

At the end is a video, and how Educational Bureaucracy see things.
Certainly has bought forth a good candidate to seek election. 🙂

    Espoused by the Educational Bureaucracy.
“How technology and / or science have been and continues to be used to oppress and marginalize people and communities of colour”

The goal is to disrupt the status quo and do something different. … It is important to break down barriers while valuing our differences. …..
This is talked about in the video.

How far off is NZ from this?, in the times of “international socialism”.

  10. Crisis in NZ democracy

We can see from around the world that the majority of political parties have moved away from representing what their population wants and deliver what their various globalist paymaster decree.

The voter is left with a terrible choice. They have to find the “least bad” of the political options presented, to further complicate matters we can now all be fairly certain that integrity has long-departed poiitical philosophy – accordingly we can now KNOW that political parties will not let-on about core policies they intend to to back until after they’re in government.

All of which is what is behind the initial appearance (and ever increasing popularity) of Trump (he largely says what he means and then does what he said he’d do.

Sadly sleepy old NZ is doing our usual time-warp thing and limping 5-10 years behind the rest of world in finding our own Trump/BoJo/Salvini/AfD/Le Pen/Wilders figure to come forward.

Until then what to do? We have no centre-right party to give our votes to? National lurch further left into mindless progressivism with every day (how can you take seriously a political party that puts forward a 17 year old – it’s so far off the reservation as to require medication). For all his good intentions, at best Seymour is a liberal. His failure to oppose the single biggest challenge to western civilisation (UN sponsored mass migration) keeps him a long way out of the running for a sane vote.

    The NCs have no traction.

Was democracy intended to be an exercise in working out which major party you hate least? Isn’t it a betrayal of the whole concept of representation to vote for a party that opposes your central beliefs on the major issues?

I know I’m not alone in feeling this, I talk to many people who feel disenfranchised by the options on offer.

Maybe the answer is not to do what one can to slow down the creeping insanity and destruction of our nation. Maybe the answer is to vote for anything that will bring the crisis point forward as quickly as possible. Are we not more likely to revolt if the cancer is jump-started, isnt the danger that the rot slowly, slowly creeps in by imperceptible steps until one morning our kids and grandkids wake up and find that we’ve consigned them to a South Pacific Venezuela?

    • Re: Will Wood. 17
      Palmy Notional candidate for 2020.

      Questions
-Does an 18 year old MP get paid ‘youth rates’
-Will Will be confused with the yoof parliament whom he has already represented and be sent to the wrong place with his satchel and pencils?
-If the drinking age gets lifted back to 20 as NewCons want would he be allowed into Bellamys or events serving alcohol? (We know Liebour eagerly Wood)
-Has Notional learnt nothing from the Todd Barclay affair?

Notional is stacking up the UN altar boys.
      -Willy Wood
      -Chrissy Luxon.
It looks like Notional are doing what the IAAF has done in limiting the testosterone their candidates can have !!

There is nothing wrong with being a Liberal. A true, classical liberal. If you’re talking about the bastardisation of what the Left have claimed as “liberalism”, you are correct. But they’re as far off reality as a duck is of fucking elephant.

They are scaring the kids half to death telling them they only have 10 years to reduce CO2 emissions, that it is all the fault of agriculture and telling the kids they shouldn’t be eating meat, should only be wearing clothes made in NZ and that planes need to be solar powered. Since when was the city council responsible for ‘education’??? How many propagandists are the rate payer funding?

  13. National ponders ‘Strike Force Raptor’ police unit to ‘harass gangs’ in policy proposal
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2019/11/national-ponders-strike-force-raptor-police-unit-to-harass-gangs-in-policy-proposal.html

“We’re proposing a new police unit which would harass and interfere with gang activity, banning gang patches and revoking parole for those who associate with gangs,” Bridges said.

Banning gang patches in public has already been proposed by National, as well as blocking gang members from receiving a benefit if they can’t prove they don’t have illegal income or assets.

But a specialised unit within the police tasked with cracking down on gangs would make it more difficult for gangs to operate if a National Government copied the New South Wales model.

“If someone was punched outside a nightclub by a gang member, the unit would take over the case,” National’s police spokesperson Brett Hudson said.

“We won’t tolerate gangs peddling misery. We will release a comprehensive gang plan next year to crack down on them.”

    6

    • I thought Soyman was going to release policy next year.
      This is rhetoric, not policy.

the last NZ PM to actually crack down on gangs was Big Norm in 73/74.
Cleaned a lot of them out of Christchurch before the Jan 74 Comm Games.

After that Noodlum was very friendly with the gangs and they even marched at his funeral.
With his own very dismal upbringing he identified with them.

After the 2nd time I couldn’t join I emailed for help or suggestions as to why it was not processed or approved or whether there is something I did wrong. No response even came back. So…..not sure if it was something like an exclusive club>? did I fail by not adding information into the ‘brief bio’ section which they asked for? Dunno. As for Whaleoil, I was banned from there when the Nice truck attacks happened, and I suggested terrorists should be strung up after being wrapped with pig skin. This was a British policy which shut down Jihadist glory hounds who took part in the Indian Mutiny. Similar to burying Jihadis with pig carcasses, like I think the Yanks did with Philipino jihadis. Well, Wham-Bam-Banned by the Mod (Nigel?) who had the chimp avatar. Banning didn’t change my mind, but I did rejoin Whaleoil under another name. Farage Says UK Needs ‘Political Reform’ to Drain the Westminster ‘Swamp’

Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage has suggested that his party may be one day be rebranded the “Reform Party”, saying his colleagues and the British people want an overhaul of the British political system.

“We talk about [Washington as] the swamp, and we are beginning to talk about Westminster in the same way.”

He added in comments reported on Sunday: “There is an absolutely massive disconnect. The idea of changing politics is completely on the table.
Electoral reform ten years ago was for the Oxford Union, now people actually understand it.”

Ditching the term “manifesto” over associations with political promises rarely kept, Mr Farage unveiled The Brexit Party’s “contract with the British people” on Friday.
He said that his party wants “a voting system that is more representative of people’s views” and vows to “abolish the House of Lords”.

Mr Farage said that “the way the whole peerage and honours system has been used” is “ludicrous”.
“The whole thing is corrupt,” he added.
“[Voters] hate the House of Lords. This is going to be a big issue in the next few years.”

…… Top deep state Civil Servants who are happy to take orders from the EU are working to sabotage Brexit, Nigel Farage said Wednesday. …..

…. Mr Farage has previously said that Conservatives have offered him and his Brexit Party colleagues peerages on more than one occasion in exchange for standing down against the Tories. ……

…. “The way [the Conservatives] have just tried to buy everybody off is quite extraordinary and some people succumbed to that. Don’t underestimate the power of the big state,” Mr Farage said. …..

As well as pledging to abolish the House of Lords, the MEP said during his contract launch that under Brexit Party rules, members of the “highly politicised” Civil Service would have to sign a “pledge of political neutrality”. Further, “political guidelines” would be devised for the Supreme Court. ….

Sounds good, but are there enough voters, supporting other leaders in this?

The International Socialist set, keep spreading their agenda, by strategies and tactics in a global form,

If like Farage, (and I do see him as rather flakey) and plan ahead, then as he looks near success with Brexit. it is like a presumption that it is all done and dusted, and the next mission while the left are feeling stretched and confounded, is to immediately continue on to the next target.

That is how the left do it. Just continuing on, give an inch and they lever that to take a mile.

Just who here in NZ, knows there mind, knows their principles, and will keep to them.
I do not expect perfection, and there will be mistakes, but like every one, we cheer on the goer, the trier, who picks themselves up, and keeps on target.

            • I’ve long considered that those who know their minds, principles & have the guts to hold onto them are ready made victims of the Westminster system of politics.

The way UK & NZ systems promote tightly whipped, two party (& in our case, unicameral) legislatures mows tall poppies. Our form of democracy has multiple upsides but we shouldn’t be slow to admit its limitations.

    https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/national-and-labour-trade-barbs-over-oppositions-gang-crackdown-proposals?auto=6108967476001

“While Labour soft pedals on prisoners we will ensure victims of crime are even closer to the centre of the criminal justice system,” Mr Bridges said today.

“National has the ideas and momentum in New Zealand politics while Labour is stuck in a rut, failing to deliver on its promises for New Zealanders.”

National is proposing to ban gang patches in public places, refuse parole to murderers who will not give the location of a body and revoke parole for people who associate with gangs.”

“The Government I lead will harass and disrupt gangs every single day I am Prime Minister, with the single minded goal of eliminating them,” Mr Bridges said.

“OK National, that’s enough TV for you,” Immigration Minister Iain-Lees Galloway tweeted. “Time for bed. You can finish watching Strike Force Raptor in the morning.”

Their criminal status has been aided & abetted by fuck useless socialist teachers & a system that promotes students through classes by age as opposed to achievement.
