  1. US President Donald Trump says Greta Thunberg has an ‘anger management problem’
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/world/2019/12/us-president-donald-trump-says-greta-thunberg-has-an-anger-management-problem.html

“So ridiculous. Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!” Trump, 73, wrote on Twitter on Thursday, commenting on another person’s tweet congratulating Thunberg.

Thunberg responded by updating her Twitter biography to say: “A teenager working on her anger management problem. Currently chilling and watching a good old-fashioned movie with a friend.”

  2. So the govt. endorsed bul;lies from thier desk jobs are going all out.
No wonder our productivity is sooooo bad.

Three helicopter companies all unregistered for adventure activities.

(now that depends on which two bit self appointed organization and bits of uneeded Law you wnat to beleive.)

Three helicopter companies flying to Whakaari/White Island were told two years ago they should be registered as adventure operators.

However, the helicopter operators claim they received conflicting advice about whether their White Island ground tours were covered by the adventure activity regulations, and they had spent months waiting for a definitive answer from Worksafe.

The video with the operator of Volcanic Helicopters is well worth a watch.
No waiting getting the job done. Made the assesment on the job, acted and bought back 12 people to the hospital.

Time they got some praise for their efforts.

  3. ‘Huge amount’ of roadworks expected around New Zealand this summer
    https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/huge-amount-roadworks-expected-around-new-zealand-summer

Motorists are being warned to expect a “huge amount” of roadworks this summer.

He said that would include ripping up and replacing sections of road and putting down harder road surfaces to cope with bigger trucks.

“We’ve got our biggest maintenance renewal programme for the last 10 years happening this summer,” Mr Gliddon said.

    • Three years maintenance in one election year will just piss of the travelling public. This was supposed to be the year of delivery.
No strikes, no suicides, no more poverdy not on my watch. Might do another Cindy and Simon parable soon.

    • They’ll probably just buy a few cans of point.
There is no way they are ever going to build the “National Roads of Significance”
Many of which were shovel ready and badly needed and wanted by many.
      Its against their DNA

Personally I hope they don’t build any roads, as that will be a good weapon for National next year.

  4. AUT gets approval to grow high-THC and high-CBD cannabis
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2019/12/aut-gets-approval-to-grow-high-thc-and-high-cbd-cannabis.html

“We know a lot from unofficial and unattested sources. Having a licence means that we can do more research.”

AUT says it is a step closer to ensuring access to safe and affordable medicinal cannabis products that work.

Dr Seyfoddin says it means more research can be done to fill a huge knowledge gap “on the chemistry, on the formulation of pharmaceutical dosage forms”.

“And also you have some standard forms of cannabis medication that can enter clinical trials.”

    6

    • This would be the same AUT that has just published a paper saying that Maori women dying of breast cancer is because of institutional racism? But white men dying of prostate cancer at levels exceeding that of breast and cervical cancer combined is apparently ok.

      18

      0

    • Why do I need to pay tax to fund AUT to do this study? Local firm has been operating under licence in Ruatoria and is awaiting final tick to process and manufacture medicinal cannabis products from a purpose built factory in Gisborne. They have spent a lot of effort on international research to date, have gathered the necessary expertise, and have determined markets for products.

I have more confidence something will be done in Ruatoria and Gisborne than at AUT. The locals have invested effort and cash; they deserve the work a lot more than AUT riding in on taxpayer funding.

  6. Upper Hutt pool drained after woman throws glass at partner
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2019/12/upper-hutt-pool-drained-after-woman-throws-glass-at-partner.html

“On Wednesday, a woman exited the H2O Xtream aquatic centre’s changing room and threw the container at her partner who was in the pool.

The container shattered on the side of the pool and a lot of glass went into the water,” said Upper Hutt City Council’s director of community services Mike Ryan.

The pool and slides have all been closed, and all the water – nearly a million litres – has been drained. The pool was also vacuumed to ensure no glass fragments remained.”

What a stupid thing to do and I bet she didn’t have to pay a cent toward the cost. 😵

    • There is a rough element there.
      It is a great facility.
      However, poorly run.
I was working in the Wellington area 10 years ago and went there a few times. Relatively new facility – about 10 years old then I think.
Sitting in the sauna and listening to bogan talk was a far cry from the sauna at Newmarket pool.
      A far cry indeed.

One can learn a lot about drugs, guns, and Mk II Zephyrs and old Nissans there.
I learned the best parties were the ones your could not remember. Grouse,eh.
A lot of the blokes were scrawny underdeveloped tattooed bogans that probably consumed more marijuana than weetbix and the women tended to start at Size 18 and grow from there.
I think they were dedicated All Black fans as that was the predominant colour of choice.

No surprises with the glass throwing and that would be a fairly minor event just with excessive reaction.
I guess the obvious person to head this would be Deputy Dawg Commissioner John Timms.
It s not like he is as busy as he was on Tuesday- doing nothing.
Surely he could empty a pool and fill it up again.
Then again, with his track record….

  8. Gerry Brownlee’s comments on refugees branded ‘incredibly dangerous’ by Golriz Ghahraman
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2019/12/gerry-brownlee-s-comments-on-refugees-branded-incredibly-dangerous-by-golriz-ghahraman.html

“A National MP’s suggestion that terrorists could “hide themselves in refugee numbers” coming to New Zealand has been described by a Green MP as “incredibly dangerous”.

Brownlee told Newshub he is “certainly not racist” and described Ghahraman’s comments as “over the top” and “alarmist”.

Golriz Ghahraman, the Green Party’s foreign affairs spokesperson, said Brownlee’s language “puts an entire group of people like refugees into that position of being villainised as terrorists”.

Asked if she was implying Brownlee’s comments were racist, Ghahraman said: “Yeah.”

She described his language as “incredibly dangerous”, telling Newshub: “New Zealanders have told us after Christchurch after that terror attack that they don’t want that kind of politics anymore.”

    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2019/12/simon-bridges-no-longer-a-poor-leader-willie-jackson.html

Simon Bridges is improving as leader of the Opposition, a high-ranking Labour MP has admitted.

Meanwhile Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is slipping, says Willie Jackson – but still the best MP New Zealand has to offer.

Asked on The AM Show on Friday who the outstanding performer in Parliament was in 2019, Jackson said it was “absolutely no doubt Jacinda Ardern”.

“What a magnificent year… The way she handled things, particularly after the tragedy in Christchurch, magnificent. Then she pulled all those tech giants in – that’s no easy task.”

  13. Here is a copy of the email I just sent to Gerry Brownlee

    Hello Mr Brownlee

I am so pleased that you stood up in the house and remarked on the possibility of terrorist refugees.

I am sure that you are saying what many kiwis believe.

Golriz is out of line calling you rascist.

Personally I would not let one muslim into our country, their religion is evil and its more of a law than a religion. They will never fit into our culture, and one day they will start terrorist attacks just like they have in every other western nation. And they will start demanding for their “rights” as muslims.

I will be emailing Golriz, but I am a little worried that I might be called racist by her and might draw attention to myself as a possible white supremacist etc (which I am not)

Have a Good Christmas, and keep up the good work in Parliament.

    Kind regards
    Kea

I am working on one for Golriz

Voters won’t be happy when they realise if Labour had come into govt prepared instead of setting up working parties, how much money could have been pumped into essential services for hospitals, education, etc if it hadn’t been spent on useless gab-fests that came up with nothing feasible!

        • In some of the online discussions I’ve read the defense from their supporters are: “You wouldn’t want them to make decisions without consultation, would you?” and “They need to make informed decisions.

It does feel a bit like nothing you say will get through to Labour supporters. There is no crime or behaviour they will not excuse.

          7

          0

          • No, we wouldn’t want them to make decisions without consultation, so does that mean that every incoming government should get a three year freebie while they consult and formulate policy?
Problem was the Labour Party spent 9 long years in opposition sans funds, so they banqueted on the sausage rolls and free travel.
They still didn’t look even remotely like winning an election until they stumbled on Jacinda glitter and suddenly had to try to look like a government. Rank amateurs every one of them.

  14. Corbyn is the lesser evil.

As Mayor of London (elected in 2008), Boris Johnson cheered the anarchist and communist campaign of terror against elected officials of the British National Party. On his blog, he openly encouraged physical attacks on Nick Griffin in 2009. He personally intervened to ban the BNP from various public events they were entitled to attend.

In 2012, Johnson joined together with open communist Kevin Livingstone to “no-platform” BNP candidate Carlos Cortiglia from a BBC Mayoral debate, even though UKIP and Lib Dems had no issue with his presence.

Last April, Boris Johnson’s fellow conservative, Sajid Javid, authored an “online harms white paper” proposal that would cluster political speech in with child pornography and appoint a myriad of Jewish and leftist groups to decide what can and cannot be said online. The Guardian, no friend of free speech, went so far as to compare it to “North Korean” style internet regulation.

      • I can’t think of many situations where that type of beating is justified. If somebody harmed Mama Bear, yes. Not many other reasons I can think of. Maybe if I had to read another anit-Jew diatribe from the King / Kea 🙂

But that’s me thinking with the nature of a civilized human being. I can’t imagine a hat being justification for an action like that and the 21 seconds of video doesn’t show the hat or anything that happened before it.

It … it … seems insane? Like a massive over reaction. Is there more video that shows more of what happened?

        5

        • “anti-jewish diatribes”

Yes because facts of child rape, murder, organ harvesting, Epsteins, Weinsteins and ALL crime involving jews is an “antijew” diatribe. jews should just be allowed to commit heinous acts against humanity like the holodomor, USS Liberty, pass society destroying acts like the civil rights bill 1965, engineer puppets like Martin Luther King who every single person on his PR team was jewish. Help Mao kill 50 million Chinese..

Because Pascal wants to think like a “civilized human being” against a Genocidal tribe that has been killing millions like him for centuries.

          • While some Jewish people may be responsible for heinous atrocities, that is true for all people. You’re too discriminatory to see that as you paint all people of a faith by the same brush. The nice old lady who lives two doors down and spends her days gardening and feeding her rabbits and walking her dog – she’s one of those child rape, murder, organ harvesting Jews by your shit flinging attributions.

You really, really are a bit fucked in the head.

And yes, reading the shit you write does make me want to smack you on the nose with a newspaper and tell you to sit down and shut up. Fuckwit.

            6

            0

            • So you live life by exceptions and not the general rule, just because you build a house in a flood zone it doesn’t help you your house is not ALWAYS flooded.

You’ve already lost this by using Ad hominem, so i’ll let you lose gently and explain why you are are wrong. I don’t need to use personal attacks because i’ve already won.

Jews are very ethnocentric (racist) people, who don’t like to marry outside their group, and who have genetic tests in Israel to maintain the genetic purity of their race. They don’t want or care what is good for us that’s why they push leftist ideology’s. Ultimately when different people occupy the same territory or political jurisdiction, there will always be conflict over the limited resources and political influence (IE: Palestine) .

Of course Pascal here doesn’t care about the 18 month old Palestinian baby burnt alive by a jewish extremist group known as “price tag” no, this is not in Pascals interest, because racially he’s on the jews side. Even though the jews hate Pascal just as much as the Palestinian, but lucky for Pascal he doesn’t live next door to millions of jews, he lives next door to the 1 solitary little old kind jew lady down the road ( doubt) who he believes is the ‘general rule’.

Bees live down the road too, they contribute valuable wax and honey and are an important part of nature.

You don’t put bees in your house.

If a group of”pascals” went to Israel and became prominent in business, banking, media and politics and started to turn Israel into an open border buffet for the wild beasts to feed on, Pascals wouldn’t last 2 minutes.

So if you want to debate with a level of knowledge present and historical on a subject ,please get the “oh you’re just a Nazhtzee who wants to gas 6 trillion joooz” off your chest and offer some good counter points.

              0

              7

              • he lives next door to the 1 solitary little old kind jew lady down the road ( doubt) who he believes is the ‘general rule’.

No, that is your mistake. I judge people by their actions. I don’t look at that one lady and say everybody who shares her religion is the same. I don’t look at your heinous, baby murdering group and say everybody are like them. You can condemn the … what did you call them “price tag” without condemning everyone.

That’s the key difference between our viewpoints.

The second part is – I don’t give a shit what a million people elsewhere in the world think. A million Jews want to kill me? (What are you smoking). Okay. Whatever. When they invade New Zealand to do that, I’ll join the army and help fight them off.

oh you’re just a Nazhtzee who wants to gas 6 trillion joooz

Uhm. No. I don’t think I actually said anything like that, but this type of attribution is what I’ve come to expect from you.

The point I am making is I think you’re a discriminatory asshole. Or maybe you do a very good impression of being one. Too early to determine which of the two it is, but that’s pretty much a moot point.

                5

                1

                • Just because “you” don’t view or judge doesn’t mean you’re right. “you” don’t matter. You can decide to promote the interest of every race equally, but they sure as hell wont, “They” will keep promoting their own interests, like “they” always have. Jews do whats best for jews, period.

You should give a shit.. .

In 700ad the jews opened the gates for the invading muslim moor army into Spain, this almost destroyed Europe forever. Now tell me who are the biggest voices for muslim immigration in the western world right now?

                  Exactly.

Their hatred for Europeans goes back millennias, why do you think they chose their home next to their semite cousins? The terrible misconception is jews hate muslims, “by deception thou shall do war” The first thing Saladin did after beating the crusaders in Jerusalem was invite the jews back, why did he do this? Saudi Arabia is Israels greatest ally why?.

Churchill once said “”I am strongly in favour of using poisoned gas against uncivilized tribes,” Something i’d never say. That’s pretty “discriminatory” yet i bet you think he’s a hero?

                  1

                  3

                    • The jews as a whole are competing for resources and political influence over all western nations. Even if your “competitors” are “good people” it doesn’t make them change sides. A good person works to promote the interests of his family and people.

The question you really need to ask is..

do we want ‘our’ good people to prosper or ‘their’ good people?

                      0

                      3

            • Pascal all that drivel you wrote applies to muslims to. But you are too brainwashed by jew lies to see it.

The jew generated your anti muslim hate then it invited the muslims into your societies.

If we fix the jew problem the muslim issues will go.

              0

Into Harm’s Way, the motto of the elite SAS unit E Squadron who helped recover six bodies from Whakaari/White Island, could hardly have seemed more fitting.

With warnings the volcano was still unpredictable and another eruption could occur, the unit went in and helped bring six of the bodies back to the families.

Eight people have since died and 23 remain injured. Eight bodies were left on the island, six of which were recovered on Friday morning.

  18. I am obviously as pleased as everyone else about Boris’ probable win but I think the win is just the first hurdle ( a small one) on the course –the biggest hurdle is coming up for him, a true Brexit. I am not convinced he will deliver a real, effective exit and I am not suggesting that it has to be a “no deal” type exit –the possibilities of that are small.

    • Rosco.
Once the Don and Boris get over their differences and secure trade agreements there will be a settling period.
During that critical time, New Zealand needs to strive to be a part of the action.
I believe the only way forward is to remove a couple of roadblocks.
We must remove Clarkenstein and undergo a Cullenectomy. They cannot have any power ever again.
Of all the lofty ideologies that we have endured, theirs was the most spiteful and vindictive.
They anchor the group of very bad actors that are running the show today.
Spend fucking spend is their mantra.
      This must stop.

      • I think the trade aspects of the exit are relatively easy –any differences will be worked out over time. It is all the legal, sovereignty issues/links that need to be broken. Even the fisheries issue is not that clear.
But given Boris is going to have a big majority he may “grow a pair” and stick it to the EU –or at least I hope he does for the UK’s sake.

Labour die hards voted early but the Conservative tide rolled in after working people finished for the day.

A recent article “NATO is Brain Dead” described the obsolescence Of NATO and NATO’s defense mechanisms against non-existence enemies. The visitor agreed. Six hours later, he staggered back to the

“Hell, no. the bull was eager & raring to go.”

  24. Want an e-bike? Do you know a public servant? You could be in luck!

……”Julie Anne Genter said the government has negotiated bulk-purchase discounts on e-bikes for public sector organisations including DHBs and councils.”….

    And

…..”The discounts on e-bikes will range between $300 to $1200 off the cost of an e-bike.”……

      • Fast forward to next year. Kea’s giving his bike a quick blast down Lambton Quay when he sees a couple of girls & decides to impress them by pulling a wheelie. Afterwards he pulls up beside them & puts the beast on its stand. They giggle as he removes his helmet & unzips his leather jacket.

But it’s the way he throws his bicycle clips into the front basket that makes them go weak at the knees. 🙂
