One of NZ’s arch-racists, Willie Jackson, evokes a variant of the No True Scotsman fallacy: Maori in National aren’t true Maori.

Thus we have Jackson’s definition of the No True Maori fallacy. Because Bennet & co. aren’t seen by Jackson doing these things, she’s not a true Maori.

It’s the Left’s way of deflecting their own racism through fallacious logic. They’re incapable of constructing a valid argument and so must resort to such tactics.

I could also add, is this a confession from Jackson that he is a stalker? Otherwise, how would he know that Bennet has never contributed to Māori kaupapa, been on a marae, dry dishes or do a karanga?

There is a report on Stuff headlining that Britain is the largest recipient of sex slaves.
The report quotes one person saying the Britain is the largest recipient of East European sex slaves.
It then quotes an Italian example (the slave coming from Romania) and tells you how bad this trade is.
Unfortunately the author does not tell you who is buying these sex slaves.
Leaving aside the headline which I assume is there simply for shock/horror purposes because it certainly is not supported by facts in the story I couldn’t help think that maybe the sub-editor is correct.
Britain, particularly the North of England, has seen several trials in recent times of groups of men sharing the sexual “favours” of very young (underage) girls.
These men have been, invariably, from countries bordering the Gulf of Arabia, have had brown skin and most often follow the teachings of a fellow paedophile.
I can’t help but wonder if the purchasers of the East European sex slaves are not the same (or similar) group and if this is the reason this report attempts to shame all of Britain rather than just the people committing the offense.

As for the hijab being a defence, I don’t see it being that effective, since rape in Islamic countries is almost always the women’s fault and even if the women can mount a suitable defence, she needs twice as many witnesses as a man would and even in the unlikelihood she wins, she’ll be forever shunned.

We don’t have homeless in NZ anymore as Jacinda and Labour made this one of their top priorites and have fixed this problem so I can only assume that the complainers are National Party stooges.
However I will concede it is possible these people could be “rough sleepers” which are different from homeless and I understand the targets in relation to them have recently been “recalibrated”and new figures not issued yet.
In the meantime the media needs to get it’s terminolgy right instead of spreading these false narratives……
Certainly there is no television coverage of the homeless, so it must be fixed. Under the National Government TV news has something about people living in cars and garages virtually every night

A man who was stabbed to death while trying to burgle a pensioner’s home was lawfully killed, a coroner has ruled.

He said after he took the largest kitchen knife from a six-knife holder, [Henry] Vincent’s accomplice fled through the front door, shouting: “Get out quick, he’s got a knife.”
He told the hearing Vincent then came down the stairs brandishing a screwdriver and said: “Get out of my way or I’ll stick you with this.”
According to Mr Osborn-Brooks’s police statement, the pensioner then said: “I think you’re wrong because mine’s bigger than yours and if you don’t leave my house you will be sorry.”
Mr Osborn-Brooks said: “I was just showing him that the knife I had was actually bigger than the screwdriver. So if he was to lunge at me he would hit my knife rather than hit me first.
“I thought he would look at my knife and see it is bigger than his implement and he would take the opportunity to run out the front door, which was open.
“My intention was to get him out of the house and away from my wife.
“I still think that Mr Vincent rushes forward intending to do me harm and he ran into the knife that I was holding between us.
“He definitely didn’t try to get out of the front door, he came towards me.”

Once again NZ First are hiding their funders. Off memory in 20 years of electoral donation returns they have never ever disclosed the identity of a party donor (at least not in the original returns).

You underestimate the massive support the Greens have, only 58% came from a single donor, 29% came from their own MP’s so not really a donation more like protection money. The really big one is the 12% of donations from their supporters of 153,484 who all chipped in 50c. Labours donations probably reflect their diminishing support from Nurses/Teachers/Doctors and the Unions waiting in the wings for their pay negotiations to conclude.
The donations to the PM personally from her supporters in the Kindy’s total – 1600 Used Nappies, 250 Stained Bibs and a cookie jar of part eaten biscuits generously coated in slobber.

In July 2017 the powers that be, probably rightly, closed SH2 through the Manawatu Gorge because the unstable terrain was making keeping the route open overly dangerous for workers. Temporary alternatives existed, namely the Pahiatua Track & the Saddle Road, a shorter but very steep road over the adjacent range.
No one liked either option with both the traveling public & trucking firms up in arms. Considerable pressure went on the NZTA & political parties to get off their arses & do something.
Something was done & the chosen option was a four-lane highway snaking across the Ruahine Range north of the gorge, but south of the Saddle Rd. So far so good but here is where good old Kiwi inertia & bullshit cuts in.
Not a teaspoonful of dirt has been moved or a smidgeon of concrete poured. Instead the routine of land procurement & resource consents has just started. Work is scheduled to begin next year & be completed by 2024. Seven long years grinding over a goat track while a road that could be built in a couple of years goes through process.
