  1. Pascal posted this last night. If he writes like this when he is pissed, I cannot wait to see what he can do sober.👍 👍 good one Pascal

    In reply to Kea.

I think that may what prompted it. I wouldn’t say “Kiwi women” though – it’s something we’ve lost overall in society or maybe I’m over romanticizing it. But I miss the clarity of gentlemen and ladies; the differences that we can celebrate. All this homogenization of genders and beliefs and people – it’s taking so much flavour out of life. I can’t even point at a culture, because I’ve met some Chinese women (and men) that … well. Pigs would feel superior in terms of civility. Maybe I’ve been lucky in Mama Bear.

She’s feminine and strong within that. It doesn’t take anything away from her, it adds to who she is. She’s selfish and friendly. Loves and hates with equal opportunity. Maybe I’m a tad too drunk to philosophize, but I’m real glad I met her. We disagree enough to keep things interesting, but not enough to make them unbearable. Far too much enjoyment out of life, far too much peace and prosperity. It makes it difficult to imagine what the world would be like without her.

No scratch that, I’ve definitely been lucky with Mama Bear. She’s a lady.

  2. Coromandel first responders have helicopter removed, warn Government it could endanger lives.
Isn’t it ironic that the Health sector is struggling without enough funding and the whole Country is feeling the pressure and you have a Prime Minister with the Health Minister blaming the previous Government for nine years of neglecting funding for the Health sector and they continue to put pressure right across NZ by doing the same .

The summer and Xmas holidaying is some of our most tragic days and without helicopters and St John’s ambulance workers this is just plain Stupidity from a Health Minister that likes to blame others to cover his own inept abilities to do the job.

    • If it was a mine up there that needed funds, they would be in like a robbers dog. If this COLL can waste money on the Pike River Mine, then why can they not fund necessary things like ambulances and rescue choppers?

  3. It seems some on the left can remember the threats and abuse John Key had to endure and believe there own could drive there own voters away with there death threats and abuse of those who want to silently protest the Labour Leader Jacinda Ardern trying to be a fashion model instead of being our Prime Minister by using her time to have photo shoots for Vogue and other magazines by turning the covers around in book stores all over NZ.

    • I did turn one magazine
But I find a better way to silently protest is to send her an email every week or so telling her I hate soggy paper straws and think of her.
That I am not them and she is not me.
Plus a whole lot of others.

I for one am pleased that she is away a lot, and doing magazine covers
1 It means that she has less time to run and ruin the country even more
2 Some of her supporters will start to see how shallow she really is

        • I disagree.
Although I agree that she will not be opening her own emails.
her staff will, and maybe one day she may ask “what are my emails saying?”
“Do they people still love me?”
If you word an email correctly you will get a reply, once again maybe from a minion, but they must talk.

Just look at the regimes in China and Egypt.

Using it will make any pressure of losing it, more apparent and show up more obviously for the censorship and control in trying to cover things up, hiding truth, hiding reason, in closing it down.
That shows that free speech has a real value in our lives and society.

      • They would have a field day on us lot

Yes. And it’s worth remembering that ‘us lot’ are probably nothing more radical than ordinary New Zealanders who have got fed up with having their values attacked at every turn by the Authoritarian Woke. We think that men and women are biologically distinct, we don’t think humans are destroying the climate, we believe in the value of hard work and a proper rationally based education system and we don’t want our country overrun with Muslims in bags imposing their warped social values on our society.

There are probably other common values that link us too…. but I mention these just for starters.

I sincerely hope that blogs like this are just the tip of the iceberg and that at the next election the real people of this country will rise up like they have in Britain.

    • Thanks Alice as these deeds and interconnections and effects need to be known and understood.
The article brings no underlying understanding about the controlling ideology.

….. “- and there’s just no end to the horrors”. …
“….. not likely to ever see a permanent end to all evil, but as long as evil remains, so, too, must vigilance.

      Vigiliance ???
What is the link to what is raised in that article regarding ? ? ? with Boko Haram, ISIS leaders like Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
Journalists world wide bring nothing to learn, just a few facts, with a twisted opinion about vigiliance. 🙁 as if it is the Western World being the cause of upsetting muslims.

What about the leader Mohammad? and the life he had with his Companions, as can be found in the many hadith. As horrors were practiced in the beginning, as expressed in deeds, actions, guidance & sayings and through out history in his name as guided by koran & hadith.

All still approved by Universities like the most luminous Al-Azhar in Cairo that certified the “The Reliance of the Traveller” in 1991, and the continued dancing around the Kaaba about ISIS and all things Islam in September 2017
      https://www.atlanticcouncil.org/blogs/menasource/al-azhar-and-the-battle-of-ideas-against-extremist-islamism/

Perhaps some understanding of ” al walaa wal baraa” will also guide many Western countries not to take in muslim immigrants for their own good!
That is one of their main but hidden islamic doctrines.

Then tease out another doctrine about “Hijrah”.

Both those doctrines give very good reasons to muslims; not to come to the Western World, and to stay away.

    • Another “horror” on today’s news, but no linkage to Mohammad, when it was declared:-
“Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “I have been sent with the shortest expressions bearing the widest meanings, and I have been made victorious with terror (cast in the hearts of the enemy)” The Hadith, collected by Bukhari (4.52.220)

….. The militant group emerged from the Islamic Courts Union that once controlled central and southern Somalia and is variously estimated to number between 5,000 and 9,000 men. ….
…. In 2010, the Shabaab declared their allegiance to Al-Qaeda.

      https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/world/mogadishu-car-bomb-blast-somali-dead-injured-12217168

The baddies of islam, but no knowledge of why and the doctrines, sayings, guidance, deeds & actions of Mohammad, considered to be the “perfect man”, to all of his followers.

  5. And another one that just popped into my inbox this morning:
“Banning centerfire semi-automatics was supposed to make New Zealand a much safer country. If so, then why are the police on edge and expecting more mass shootings? You’d think they’d all calm down, put their guns back in storage, and enjoy the increased safety that Saint Jacinda has bestowed upon us.

They’re doing none of those things, because those telling you that New Zealand is now a much safer country are lying—and they know it. They just hope you’re dumb enough to believe it.”

      • Hadn’t seen that, thanks.

To paraphrase Immanuel Kant “there is no moral imperative to obey an unjust law” at least I think that is what he was getting at 🙂

The simple fact is that guns themselves whether legal, illegal, registered, unregistered, purchased from a gun shop or smuggled from abroad are NOT dangerous. It is the person who has possession of a firearm who is either dangerous or not dangerous and since the vast majority of guns not turned in will likely remain safely and securely in the hands of their original owners who have proved themselves not dangerous to the public at large I see no great cause for alarm. In short the paperwork exercise of making a firearm illegal does not make us more or less safe.
The trigger happy Rambo wannabees masquerading as police officers and, especially, their senior officers are the ones who need to be reined in hard. New Zealanders by and large do not need or want to be policed by a para-military force of robocops and people such as Ardern, Nash, Cahill and Bush need to be reminded that we citizens are policed by consent not by their dictate.

        6

      • The important information that they missed is that many of the guns that were swapped for money were not even on the banned list but wise Kiwi’s took the money to either replace what they have with better guns or to spend on some other worthwhile pursuit.
In the normal course of events they would have either handed them in free or sold them to another liscenced owner.
So far from having many less guns we have better guns or have had a great oversea’s trip from their hobby.

        At the taxpayers expense.
Sadly I disposed of mine a few years ago.

      • But it is a false economy.
I find I always nod in agreement with Mike Reddells assessment of the economy .
Time and time again he is able to analyse the results of our politicians trying to ‘fix’ our economy but neither National or Labour can get it right.
Just lately I have had much feedback on the minimum wage rising yet again next year.the effect on small businesses will be substantial.

        • Many local small bushiness can just pass the price increase on, and we will all have a wage rises to pay for them.

But it is the effect on our tourist businesses – coffee and beer ad cigarettes are already eye watering for tourists.
And the effect on our exporters.

And it just makes automation more affordable.

The people it hurts are those that are trying to compete with imported stuff.
Doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense to me to import chinese, vietnamese wage rates into NZ at the expense of local industry.

    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2019/12/gridlock-traffic-dampens-holiday-mood-for-aucklanders.html

It wasn’t just the main centres where traffic was horrendous and proved NZ’ers need double laning, safer motorways. We had a bit of a fright on Friday on the Kaimai-Tauranga road, on the hill before entering Tauriko the traffic was in grid-lock and had come to a complete stop due to the buildup for kilometres ahead. Like many roads of significance cancelled by the COL, Tauriko needs a new road immediately, safety for road users means the delays on our roading system is putting our road users at risk.

  7. Joe Biden says no legal basis to be subpoenaed in Donald Trump impeachment
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/world/2019/12/joe-biden-says-no-legal-basis-to-be-subpoenaed-in-donald-trump-impeachment.html

US Democratic presidential contender Joe Biden on Saturday said there would be “no legal basis” for Republicans to subpoena his testimony in President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial, clarifying remarks from Friday that drew criticism.
“I want to clarify something I said yesterday. In my 40 years in public life, I have always complied with a lawful order and in my eight years as VP, my office — unlike Donald Trump and Mike Pence — cooperated with legitimate congressional oversight requests,” Biden said on Twitter.
“But I am just not going to pretend that there is any legal basis for Republican subpoenas for my testimony in the impeachment trial,” Biden added.

We’ll see who wins this sleepy Joe.

Planned legislative proposals in the EU may place migration critics in psychiatric care

    • It doesn’t happen often but I’m lost for words.

So, there are three options –

1 – Watch your country be taken over by *savages* who will destroy the culture and buildings – everything that has taken millennia to build up.

2 – Speak out and be hauled off to a psych PRISON.

3 – Join with others and DEPOSE the SCUM at the top who want this, and install a hard-line anti-Islam government. Said government would close and destroy all mosques and Islamic schools and “cultural centres” and then either forcibly deport all Muslims or go to war against them.

I note that the **cowardly** military forces in Europe are sitting on their hands over this (as usual).

This is the kind of primitive “thinking” that we are facing –

    • Thanks Braybots nemesis, as the EU is doing no more than what was signed up to of the UN migration pact.

One of the objectives from the UN MIgration Pact, that Winston Peters said was non binding, but our judiciary will be incrementally looking for angles, precedents, overseas courts and international laws , practice & guidance.

      ——————————
OBJECTIVE 17: Eliminate all forms of discrimination and promote evidence-based public
discourse to shape perceptions of migration
      33. We commit to eliminate all forms of discrimination, condemn and counter expressions, acts and manifestations of racism, racial discrimination, violence, xenophobia and related intolerance against all migrants in conformity with international human rights law.
We further commit to promote an open and evidence-based public discourse on migration and migrants in partnership with all parts of society, that generates a more realistic, humane and constructive perception in this regard.
We also commit to protect freedom of expression in accordance with international law, recognizing that an open and free debate contributes to a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of migration.

To realize this commitment, we will draw from the following actions:
      a) Enact, implement or maintain legislation that penalizes hate crimes and aggravated hate crimes targeting migrants, and train law enforcement and other public officials to identify, prevent and respond to such crimes and other acts of violence that target migrants, as well as to provide medical, legal and psychosocial assistance for victims
      .
      b) Empower migrants and communities to denounce any acts of incitement to violence directed towards migrants by informing them of available mechanisms for redress, and ensure that those who actively participate in the commission of a hate crime targeting migrants are held accountable, in accordance with national legislation, while upholding international human rights law, in particular the right to freedom of expression.
      .
      c) Promote independent, objective and quality reporting of media outlets, including internet based information, including by sensitizing and educating media professionals on migration-related issues and terminology, investing in ethical reporting standards and advertising, and stopping allocation of public funding or material support to media outlets that systematically promote intolerance, xenophobia, racism and other forms of discrimination towards migrants, in full respect for the freedom of the media
      .
      d) Establish mechanisms to prevent, detect and respond to racial, ethnic and religious profiling of migrants by public authorities, as well as systematic instances of intolerance, xenophobia, racism and all other multiple and intersecting forms of discrimination in partnership with National Human Rights Institutions, including by tracking and publishing trends analyses, and ensuring access to effective complaint and redress mechanisms
      .
      e) Provide migrants, especially migrant women, with access to national and regional complaint and redress mechanisms with a view to promoting accountability and addressing governmental actions related to discriminatory acts and manifestations carried out against migrants and their families
      .
      f) Promote awareness-raising campaigns targeted at communities of origin, transit and destination in order to inform public perceptions regarding the positive contributions of safe, orderly and regular migration, based on evidence and facts, and to end racism, xenophobia and stigmatization against all migrants
      .
      g) Engage migrants, political, religious and community leaders, as well as educators and service providers to detect and prevent incidences of intolerance, racism, xenophobia, and other forms of discrimination against migrants and diasporas and support activities in local communities to promote mutual respect, including in the context of electoral campaigns

The ignorance of people who ever supported NZ Last, Winston Peters. and believing his lying promises, is astounding, and that NZ ever signed that agreement.

All hand in hand with Massey University and Planck “Institutes” in Germany that seem to follow the Couldenhoven-Kaligari agenda, and Merkel was a recent prize winner in 2008 & 2010 with those strong connections.
Paul Spoonley attending both now, and continually advising to be super diversity with more immigration, whilst also advising on shutting down dissent, looking for white supremacy.

  10. Did you know?
The first slaves imported into American colonies were 100 white children in 1619.
Four months before the arrival of the first shipment of black slaves. Many were brought from Ireland, where the law held that it was “no more sin to kill and Irishman than a dog or any other brute.”
King James II, followed by Charles I and Oliver Cromwell, sold over 500,000 Irish Catholics into slavery, throughout the 1600’s onto plantations in the West Indies Islands of Antigua, Montserrat, Barbados, as well as Virginia and New England.
Irish slaves were less expensive than African and treated with more cruelty and death.

      **We** are the news now.”

Yep. They are the dinosaurs and we are the mammals (and we all know what happened to the dinosaurs……… ).
In *this* case, the “asteroid” is a great big “asteroid” of TRUTH.
Truth doesn’t CARE about “feelings” or **left-wing ideology**.

I posted the “essential things for young people to know” a while ago but I think it deserves repeating –

1 – Learn about facts, logic and reason, and “logical fallacies”.

2 – Learn that most (if not all) “teachers” and lecturers have a hardline Leftist agenda (originating from point 4 in this list).

3 – Learn that the media LIES all the time. The media also do NOT REPORT a lot of news, **especially** if it damages or destroys their leftist agenda or is good news for conservatives.

  13. Proof of an internal hack by the DNC (CIA) on the DNC. Assange
    From thenation.com.

The thumb drive was physically handed to Seth Rich a disillusioned Dem. He was murdered by Clinton paid for MS13 thugs after handing it to Assange.

“Orensicator’s first decisive findings, made public in the paper dated July 9, concerned the volume of the supposedly hacked material and what is called the transfer rate—the time a remote hack would require. The metadata established several facts in this regard with granular precision: On the evening of July 5, 2016, 1,976 megabytes of data were downloaded from the DNC’s server. The operation took 87 seconds. This yields a transfer rate of 22.7 megabytes per second.

These statistics are matters of record and essential to disproving the hack theory. No Internet service provider, such as a hacker would have had to use in mid-2016, was capable of downloading data at this speed. Compounding this contradiction, Guccifer claimed to have run his hack from Romania, which, for numerous reasons technically called delivery overheads, would slow down the speed of a hack even further from maximum achievable speeds.”

I wonder who was running the cover up here?

NOVEMBER 12, 2019 but has been revised
    https://www.teenvogue.com/story/anal-sex-what-you-need-to-know

Prostitution is legal, so no reason for unemployment for the ones of legal age.
Too much information? for what age?
Will parents be considered “homophobic” if they find this distasteful?
Will others not so happy be considered “transphobic”.
Now that you know, so need to wait until later in life?

Well guys, if you get your period, then you can not be pregnant.
Can this be practiced on the 9th floor? or summer youth camps.

Initially this was put out with out any mention of safe sex, condoms, or even advice to wait until a bit older. etc..
    When does accountability, responsibility start?
Are parents happy when sex education in school creeps on in, different guises.?
Is this grooming of a sorts? to rewire children under education systems as well?

    • Just where is family in this, their values, society values, well seems to have changed a lot, and gone much further than behind the bikesheds.
Now the experts form these values to guide us all, but are they any better?

case studies that showed girls as young as 10 years old coming to Planned Parenthood for help with injuries, the removal of foreign objects and abortions. The studies convinced Cline that something must be done to help these young women.

“Wow, you’ve convinced me,” she said she told the educator. “How do I teach these girls not to have sex?”

“No dear, we aren’t teaching them not to have sex,” the educator told her. “We are teaching them how to do it safer.”

Planned Parenthood teaches students risk reduction rather than teaching children how to have healthy relationships and to date in groups, Cline said.

It would seem so long as their is plenty of lube, then no pain, and just happy feelz, like on summer camps.
Do they even get accountability, responsibility?, but then the other people’s money flows through to those ‘sexperts’

      • Sex is not just a mechanism. It should involve positive emotion. The left are teaching the young how to breed early to keep them poor and voting for a life on benefits and handouts.

        • wg, that is only true if you believe in families for +ive emotions.

Beware, It has become hands off;- the “state” owns your kids.
Like gangs claim to be families for children, so the state vies for that control too.

The +ive emotion as can be seen is claimed to be surpassed by “gangism” and so the state via “nationalism” or “stateism” makes strong claims through benefits and freeing up things for your gratification.

It is all a mishmash, (a bit like my comments), seemingly with out purpose, but their purpose or consequences, seems to bring about the down fall of families.
We are aware of these things, and often it is not close to home, but we can see the effects working in places around us.

Just what are the principles in life?
Where does one make a stand?
          What does one do?
I know the first place is ourselves, yet the state, demands of us our time & resources for how it sees fit.
Is that good enough that the state wants to own us? in full or in part?
So how much did we sell ourselves for, to the state, or to globalism?

Knowledge, knowing one self, and then knowing the contrary brings a strength, and hopefully a wisdom in combating this ideology.

I noticed these articles, and being aware of changing attitudes, that are now pushed into younger younger age groups, and schooling, and also pervasive through entertainment , media, movies, academia, education, etc..

A difficult topic in some ways to discuss, as parts of this goes off in tangents, like LBGTQ binary or non, etc… that also pressures others. by automatically bringing up transphobic, homophobic, terfophobic. arguments etc.. to rule us..

I certainly do not condone this.

Like the evilness of the “rings” so the journey through the institutions has happened ias Communism 101,
How do we set out on “An Unexpected Journey” to put those rings back into the fiery Mount Doom, nor succumb to temptations ourselves.
              How does one counteract this?
In part when I asked how much did we sell ourselves to the state, or globalism?, what price is our silence? and through what fires are ahead?

And people were bought up to follow that, a respect and understanding “shame”, An understanding to make things work, which showed commitment.
Even “shot gun” weddings were a message to other family members, friends and peers, about consequences, and the ones involved, maybe not perfect, but also showed that families & friends, supported things to get sorted for the children’s sake.

It was the nice man from the government, here to help you, in 1972 that changed things in NZ and probably earlier in the USA under President Lyndon Johnson that also in the supposed help took away the considered need of fathers in families.

Yet it seems that this is a tactic of “shaming” “doxing” and re-prioritizing things from family concepts and pressuring by going into homophobic, transphobic, rascist, etc shaming the parents while, … leveraging into children.

In the last few weeks, a small group of Kiwis led by a 66-year-old Christchurch man has been quietly turning around books and magazines featuring our Prime Minister in stores around the country.

They contend that she spends for too much time on photoshoots and fluff pieces and not enough time working on the eradication of child poverty, homelessness, and the housing crisis.

Fair enough, right? We don’t necessarily have to agree with this, but good on them for peacefully demonstrating their political discontent with our Prime Minister and her Government.

Jim (James Shaw) is quite right. The best policy response to the warming effect of greenhouse gas emissions is a tax on such emissions. Done properly, it is the most effective policy response.

This is just utter garbage and it demonstrates the depths to which our once beautiful country has decayed.

Without using Google, would anyone here like to hazard a guess at who wrote this mind numbing piece of dribble?

    8

    0

    • Is that the thread DPF has:

      “Jim Rose writes:

Few appreciate that once a country introduces an economy-wide carbon tax, it’s time to downsize the Ministry for the Environment and demote the Minister for Climate Change. Their work is done.

A carbon tax puts a price on carbon emissions and leaves it to the market to decide which industries should shrink or grow and where to invest in innovation. Provided the carbon tax was set at the correct initial rate, a competitive market system subject to a carbon tax works itself. No further guidance is required from ministers or ministries.

Jim is quite right. The best policy response to the warming effect of greenhouse gas emissions is a tax on such emissions. Done properly, it is the most effective policy response.

It is far far far better than having Ministers decide on ad hoc policies such as banning gas exploration (which will in fact increase greenhouse gas emissions globally).

There will be layoffs at Greenpeace too because environmentalists no longer need to call for the end of oil or of coal because a carbon tax will decide how much coal and oil should come out of the ground and when. A carbon tax will make the next best alternative fuels more attractive to buy.

      Yep.

Canadian environmental economist Ross McKitrick suggested a solution where the carbon tax be automatically increased under a public formula in line with increases in the temperature of the atmospheric troposphere. That’s the first 18km of the atmosphere near the equator.

Linking carbon tax increases to the atmospheric troposphere has the big advantage that it is the part of the atmosphere most affected by greenhouse gas driven warming, it is affected early, and it is subject to reliable independent measurements by weather balloons and satellites.

By announcing the formula for the increase in advance, you take the issue out of politics and make any further attempt to politicise the carbon tax plain to all. This is a much more effective solution than the Green proposal for a reserve bank style carbon commission with the wisdom of Solomon to independently set the pace for carbon reductions.

I’m all for a known formula to set the level of the tax. Far better than a purity war between political parties.

Looks like DPF has swallowed CC and the need for carbon tax hook, line and sinker.

  18. Landfill begins burying non-recyclable Wind Turbine Blades
Waste management experts estimate they’ll take hundreds of years to biodegrade

Hundreds of giant windmill blades are being shipped to a landfill in Wyoming to be buried because they simply can’t be recycled.Local media reports several wind farms in the state are sending over 900 un-reusable blades to the Casper Regional Landfill to be buried.

While nearly 90 percent of old or decommissioned wind turbines, like the motor housing, can be refurbished or at least crushed, fiberglass windmill blades present a problem due to their size and strength

    https://www.educationviews.org/landfill-begins-burying-non-recyclable-wind-turbine-blades/?fbclid=IwAR3Dy4t_OhFoBwSYvPXPVgP2JFy3yGNNWNOdA1GYcHDJDuhcTLwnP02OOxA

      • So-called “renewable” energy will NEVER be able to replace coal, gas, oil and nuclear energy. Those four give by **far** the most energy per “unit area” or “unit volume” of the power-plant.

Even hydro is limited – it is only partly renewable given that there are only so many rivers that you can dam.

Solar and wind power-plants are FAR too “diffuse” – they need a **huge** amount of land area and still only generate pitiful amounts of power.

I refer to Waikokopu which was developed as a port for Wairoa in the early part of last century. Associated with the port was a private rail line from Wairoa which was eventually absorbed into the Napier/Gisborne link.

Standing on the old breakwater, it’s hard to imagine that much of the machinery & ironwork needed to build the Waikaremoana power station was unloaded at Waikokopu, railed to Wairoa & hauled to the site by bullocks.
