  1. It’s not often that the Guardian has a article criticizing one of there own but after a few stories on the turn Ardern around saga they have decided to print some truth about our attention seeking and media manipulater for all to read.
    https://pointofordernz.wordpress.com/2020/01/03/2019-when-ardern-dished-up-bangers-to-colbert-and-mash-to-nz-voters/
I wonder who will wear the brunt of this story as the Guardian has listened to a couple of bloggers to show the Prime Minister is all piss and wind with no substance.

  2. Asian Invasion sent a great email this morning. I would post it here but for some reason I am not able to do so. If you search it I am sure you can find it sorry. I also note that the climate change is working in favour of colder times once again. Gosh I thought things were supposed to get warmer in summer, I wonder why its just the smoke we are supposedly getting blown across from Australia and not the warm temperatures? Just asking for a friend

I used to enjoy their articles in the Sunday Star before it went all lefty.

      • No I just send them a short email asking questions that interest or annoy me.
Sometimes I use my second email account (an old business one) to abuse them
        Eg to ardern
Today I just used a soggy paper straw, and it made me think of you. You banned the nice plastic ones, I don’t litter

      • from the article:
        “Hey”
This one’s pretty harmless isn’t it?
I’ve sent a lot of these in my past. To friends, to someone I’ve just matched with on Tinder, or even via Facebook message in an attempt to strike up a conversation with someone I’ve met at a party. It’s a lazy conversation starter at best. At worst, from someone you don’t know and whose intentions you can’t fathom, it’s threatening. I know now why this never really worked – it’s a potential can of worms that women are reluctant to open and it’s creepy – particularly when unsolicited. Women know from experience what ‘Hey’ can mean – a precursor to a romantic and/or sexual advance, the denial of which leads to abuse so much of the time.”

I’m sure women MP’s do attract messages from creeps, perverts and socially inept and downright rude men but I never knew “hey” was so loaded with innuendo? Perhaps the writer of this article is yet another “woke” Wellingtonian imagining every man is sexualising his correspondence?

  5. An electric fire truck with 30 minutes of driving and operation is virtue signalling at its finest. And designed to fleece politicians at $1,100,000. Of course, it comes with a diesel generator to extend that range, but you’d have to ask – why?

  7. I am terrible at mathematics. Languages and words, great. Numbers and formulas, not so much. This mathematics life hack is quite cool.

To save you clicking the link; the basic premise is calculating percentages is simpler than we thought. Calculate 4% of 75. Not something you can do in your head, but flip it around and calculate 75% of 4. That’s 3 and quite easy to do. And is, coincidentally, the same answer as 4% of 75. Well, not coincidentally because X * Y = Y * X. The ease of calculation doesn’t apply for everything, e.g. 43% of 71 would be rougher, but still.

    Useful to know?

    Maybe?

  8. Today is the last day of our holiday entertaining plans. Today is going to be a barbecue again (always, when I have to plan it).

There will be some eye fillet in a Mongolian marinade. It’s a sweet and spicy, sticky marinade that chars nice grill bars and really adds a nice flavour to the meat. And Mama Bear always wants it made, so forget the simple salt and pepper steaks.

On the vegetable side, I’ve made a three bean salad with that sharp, vinegar bite to it. A soft and creamy potato salad and there’ll be something that’s sort of greenish with feta and olives and that nobody will eat. And the bit I’m looking forward to, although I’m still working my way through this. I’m going to build a wood fire and then grill a chook over it. Then it’s going into the coals with a red curry, some bamboo shoots and so on to build some flavour into it.

The last two dishes will be South African braai broodjies. Which is a homemade bread with tomato, onion, mayonnaise and some mixed herbs that gets toasted over the fire. And corn on the cob that’s been soaked for a few days and will be roasted, then rolled in a butter and chili flake mixture.

Need to go shower and build the fire soonish 🙂

      • Get a bottle of Hoisin sauce from your local Asian shop. One of those Lee Kum Kee ones is perfect. Pour that into a mixing jug. Add one tablespoon of honey (heat the spoon before scooping it), a tablespoon each of crushed garlic and ginger. I tend to cut them into batons so I don’t need to keep jars of garlic / ginger in the fridge.

Then pour the following ingredients into the semi-empty jar (so you can shake it and get the last sauce out)

        * Two tablespoons of soy sauce
        * Two tablespoons of rice vinegar
        * One tablespoon of oyster sauce
        * Two tablespoons of cooking wine (sherry will do as well)

Shake the … no. Put the cap back on the jar, then shake it well to dislodge the last sauce and pour it into the mixing jug. Add as much chilli as you want. I use the red flakes and usually add two to three tablespoons of it.

I got the recipe from a Weber book on grilling. They have some very good marinades in there and decent instructions for building your own.

  9. Muslim Population of England Exceeds Three Million For the First Time – Christians Continue to Decline

The three million Muslims in England will only continue to exponentially increase because Muslim men are allowed to have multiple wives and each wife usually has five children.

In just the five years between 2011 and 2016, the number of Muslims living in England and Wales increased from 2.7 million to 3.14 million — that is over 400,000 people and roughly a 16% increase.

In 2016, an estimated 32.7 million people in England and Wales identified as Christian, down from 33.2 million, reported the Daily Mail.

The name “Mohammad” is in the 10 most popular baby boy names in England.

    England is finished.

  10. Thousands of kittens expected to be abandoned over Kiwi summer
    https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/thousands-kittens-expected-abandoned-over-kiwi-summer.html

Kitten season has begun, with thousands expected to be handed in to shelters throughout the country this summer.
Their shelters receive about 9000 cats a year and 11,000 kittens – the bulk in the warmer months.

I adore cats. There has almost always been a cat in my life, but seriously why don’t people get their pets spayed?

  12. One of the commentators;- ” “The Green Fires of 2020” would be a fitting title”,
Although a little amateur in videoing, it does show the point,

Many of the commentators relate to it, and draw out about the Greenies ‘naturist; “fuel load” of “no clothes” and protesting about “baby birds” lives are important, in the name of natural bush diversity, to stop back burns.

Many good comments, and some from experience over the decades.
Remarks saying Greens were never in government, but often there was a coalition, and of the “Deep State” that flowed through the bureaucracy of managers, chief executives, etc. that works full time to put through that agenda.
It is very difficult for any counselor, politician to oppose those regulations, fines, permits, guidelines etc. that are pushed from heartland bureaucracy with covers of sustainability, health & safety, for the grand children etc., etc.. and then the activists, combining with ongoing media agenda.

    • It should be the Greens in the gun for their environmental shortsightedness. How does preventing the clearing of dried scrub save the animals that inhabit that tinder dry bush when it fuels larger fires? With the loss of life, houses and communities people are understandably emotional and looking to lash out at the obvious target. The blaming of ScoMo is political. However, with the yearly fires it would seem prudent to remove the Green’s environment laws, stop people building close to the bush, and have vastly more fire fighting resources on hand.

Australia bushfires: Video of angry firefighter unleashing on Prime Minister Scott Morrison goes viral

      • “… angry firefighter unleashing on Prime Minister Scott Morrison… ”

I don’t blame Scott Morrison at all. I blame the forgetting of *sensible* fire and forest management. That has happened over close to 200 years.

IIRC, the Aborigines cleared out fallen branches (“fire fuel”) and let any fires burn themselves out. They also didn’t live in the middle of any potential fires (as thousands of people do now).
Someone recently posted an article from the 1820s (I think) that gave details on how frequent fires were then, and how they used to be managed.

When everyone over there is (understandably) stressed-out and upset, it’s really easy to find scapegoats.
It’s a bit harder to knuckle down and do the work to ensure that such big fires don’t happen again, and if they *do* happen, that they are less harmful.

Now, trying to use feelz, which at the moment are rough, in such desperate situations, and so adding more fuel to the fires.
Looking for political advantage for agendas to control & tax people.

  13. Question: I have been wondering if Goldriz, the Green MP and “refugee” from Iran has made any comment on the death of Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s elite Quds military force and one of the most powerful figures in the Islamic Republic? I imagine it was the Iranian military regime Soleimani ruled that Goldriz was running from when her family fled on holiday to Malaysia and then upgraded to life in NZ. Does the death of this monster of terrorism conflict with the Green values of our Golly? What say you Goldriz?

  15. I wandered down the shop this morning.
There were people walking their dogs, wearing the obligatory green plastic glove, Asian couples and singles power strolling, joggers, and home owners attending to their weekend chores.
As I neared the dairy, a woman sitting on the path, outside the adjacent shop, wearing black dirty clothes and an ill fitting “Where’s Wally/” hat, put down her cell phone and said, “Good morning sir, and God bless you”, through a toothless mouth.
I responded, “And you too”, and carried on.
As I left the shop, she stopped me again and asked me for money.
She proceeded to explain to me, she needed money for milk, bread, food for the kids, a train ticket to town, a bus ticket to her friends place and some money for petrol.
I said,” I don’t carry cash sorry” and proceeded on my way.
As I passed an ATM machine, not far from the dairy, an elderly woman was withdrawing money from the machine.
I could hear behind me the scuffling feet of the ‘street’ adult rapidly approaching and oddly enough what sounded like a lot of spare change in a loose pocket.
This spooked the elderly lady, and I slowed my pace to ready myself for anything that may eventuate.
The same story spewed from the woman in need, and the elderly woman succumbed to the predator, handing over some money.
“God bless you”, said the poor destitute woman, as she sat down on the footpath, whipped out her cell phone, lit up a smoke and opened a packet of chippies.

As I made my way home ,I grappled with the complexities of interpersonal relationships, and I had to ask myself…. “Where is Wally?”

When, oh when will a government ever attack **wasteful spending**?

If I were in power, I would –
          * Axe all useless “PC” outfits – Women’s Affairs, Waitangi Tribunal, Human Rights Office, Race Relations Office and any others.

          * Pass a law that opened Parliamentary Services to the Official Information Act (they’re exempt at the moment).

          * Take the chainsaw to local government spending. I’ll guarantee that Auckland City Council alone would waste $1 billion per year, given their massive staffing level and obscenely-fat salaries.

          * Cut the income-tax rate to zero for salaries up to $30,000 pa and 15% for salaries above that. Axe Working for Families at the same time.

          * Axe the DPB (“Sole parent support”) and put time-limits on all benefits.

  16. Best article yet on the criminal CCP and the atrocities they inflict on large portions of their populace.

“In June of this year the China Tribunal delivered its Final Judgement and Summary Report.1 An independent committee composed of lawyers, human rights experts, and a transplant surgeon, the Tribunal was established to investigate forced organ harvesting on the Chinese mainland. These rumours have haunted the country for years—lurid tales of the fate suffered by members of the banned Falun Gong religion after being taken into police custody. Their organs, so the rumours go, are cut from their bodies while they are still alive, and then transplanted into waiting patients.”

    https://quillette.com/2020/01/03/bloody-harvest-how-everyone-ignored-the-crime-of-the-century/

The question is why do the media give the Chinese a free pass on this? This tribunal never even made the news here. Where is Socialist Cindy and Green Communist Golriz in their indignation (or Bridges for that matter!) other than vague references to “human rights concerns”? Or is this seen as “aspirational” behavior by a wannabe totalitarian government?

As the article suggests; this is a crime on par with any of the atrocities committed on large populations during the 20th Century. Remember this whenever you see our politicians smiling next to their Chinese counterparts.

This is the main reason the people of Hong Kong are protesting. Democracy gives them a chance.

They are all dissidents, according to Beijing.
They are literally fighting for their lives. Their organs are earmarked for the obedient.
Mainstream Media, Climate Change advocates etc are not reporting this because depopulation must occur.

The only reason this has caused such an issue is the green movement not allowing controlled burns and building houses without a fire break. And of course arsonists lighting multiple fires at once.

The USA has destroyed Iraq and killed hundreds of thousands. They have also acted against Iran.

The fact we dont like how they do things over there does not give the USA authority to invade. Anymore than Iran has authority to invade NZ because they dont approve of how we do things.

These wars will destroy the West not the Middle East. Just ask those countries with mass Muslim immigration of people who hate them.

We need to get the fuck out of it and protect our own countries and borders asap.

      • That is absolutely true. But not yet.
I am cautiously optimistic that the true cabal (axis of evil) will be identified and receive just punishment.
Remember how projection works. Accuse others of the crimes you are committing.
How do you maintain a never ending war?
Have the same people funding both sides. Think large banking corporations.
World peace isn’t profitable for these people.

The Saudi’s are facing serious problems. They are running out of oil.
The regime clean out was the first thing Trump did in office.
He has them by the cohonies.

        • Yeah there is hope with Trump. He is not an interventionist or warmonger.

Instead he wants what’s best for America.

        • Trump has a Plan!
I assume he has the best of the best personal security team and plenty of it. I imagine there have been many attempts to end his presidency for good!

          • Many attempts on his life. I will not post them.
This is not about an argument gone sour.
This is about drawing out the real enemies and their minions.
He is an expert at calling bluffs.
This is bigger than we can imagine.

  25. I often look at a map of the middle east. ( in my head)
And it has always seemed to me that there are only a few countries that are relativity stable with nice shinny shopping centers , airlines and tourists etc.
Qutar, Abu dhabi, Bahrain, UAE and Kuwait.
I wonder when they will be next to have revolutions and trouble.
Then its all over for the rabs
Just what they deserve with their two religions of peace.

The USA does not need their oil now.
Pull out and cut them loose.
