        • A very good point about the “prefer”
Polls need to be worded well otherwise they are not productive.
I hope to make sure that mine are worded well.

    • The ‘poll’ is utter bullshit because the idiots at Newshub have chosen really bad pictures of both the Marxist and the Dribble (although her pic is worse than his).

As Pascal says above, I don’t want either of these to be my PM… but that’s not the point. The poll should be titled “Which of these Muppet pics is the worst?”

      10

      3

        • Not necessarily. Dribble might drop out to be replaced by someone equally wet and the Marxist might get hugged by a Wuhan seafood market stallholder who just happens to be Falun Gong.

Whatever…. I certainly won’t be voting to make either of these two my PM. I’ll be voting either for Seymour or for Baker to lead this country. Haven’t decided which yet… but certainly one of these.

          10

        • You may be, I’ll be voting to make David Seymour my Prime Minister. He probably won’t make it, but I’ll still be voting for him. But I forget, he trolled people with the MAGA slogan and it’s bad when people you don’t like do it and Trump should sue them. But okay when you do it 😉

  1. The deep and abiding ugliness that’s within feminists

Just to show that beauty is skin-deep, but ugliness goes all the way to the bone. Here is a lovely example of how vile and poisonous are the feminist poster-girls of Marxist Hollywood.

Less than a day after the accident and before Kobe Bryant’s body is cold – well known Hollywood man-hating hypocrite Evan Rachel Wood takes great pleasure in speaking ill of the dead – knowing full well that now he’s dead she can’t be sued for the massive lie that “He was also a rapist”.

I just can’t get my head around how full of hate a skank like her has to be to roll out something so vile and hateful as that – when Kobe’s widow and 4 other kids are grieving the loss of their dad. I mean one could also opine about Ms Wood that “Blood tainted with a rotting dead egg pours from a smelly hole in her body every month” – but why would you? What vile pleasure could someone get from saying something so utterly gross about someone? I mean aside from the fact that this horrible statement is true (and Kobe was never found guilty of the crime she accused him of) to act as if one is being virtuous when saying the most untrue and unpleasant things is surely some form of mental illness. Poor Ms Wood – to be so filled with hate and poison – I pity her.

Something very dark and very evil is being stirred up by modern feminism – I forecast that this period in history is going to be one that women in the future will be apologising for in the same way that Germans feel so penitent about their national disgrace over Nazism. Books will be written about the huge damage that was done to women’s place in society as a result of the rise of misandry – the destruction of trust will take generations to repair. Good job men move on quickly from things.

    • Adding to the furor, there sure are some very sick puppies around. as DP observes, particularly of the marxist identity politics of Hollywood.
      Like supposed comedian Ari Shaffir.

Kobe Bryant died 23 years too late today. He got away with rape because all the Hollywood liberals who attack comedy enjoy rooting for the Lakers more than they dislike rape. Big ups to the hero who forgot to gas up his chopper. I hate the Lakers. What a great day! #Fuckthelakers
      — Ari Shaffir (@AriShaffir) January 26, 2020

The 19-year-old hotel employee claimed Bryant raped her in the summer of 2003 but the case was later dropped after the accuser refused to testify at the trial.
Bryant apologized to the girl but said he believed the encounter to be consensual and later settled with her in a separate civil lawsuit. …..
….. Numerous other prominent Twitter personalities and commentators reacted to Bryant’s death by bringing up the rape allegations against him.

      https://summit.news/2020/01/27/ari-shaffir-on-kobe-bryants-death-hollywood-liberals-enjoy-rooting-for-the-lakers-more-than-they-dislike-rape/

Hollywood is unraveling in its “wokeness” and they are becoming also the most mistrusted along with politicians, journalists, and car salesman. well I would exempt car salesman and it could ;be termed in doing a job of selling the car, just the punter needs to understand the ‘caveat emptor’, and do due diligence..

They seem to be seeking power over people, like saying agree with me, even on other things, or I too can really damage you and your friends.
Just like the busy-body, do-gooder, living in the house of twitchy curtains, saying “I think you should know, of the going ons of ……”

        • “an isolated incident”
So did I sort of believe, or sort of hopeful that it was only her,

However the molly coddled mind, the teachings from academia, and then through media. creating snowflakes needing ‘trigger warnings’.

Take some heart as many also came out and pointed out the crassness of a step too far.
Still not good as it is a way of tearing down community respect, manners, through polarizing, as those crass people seem intent on a “doubling down” to push their agendas.

Still exposing it, keep on bring out the truth of their dissension and stupidity, into sun light is the best disinfectant.
It just may take some time, but the pendulum will move back, and possibly again a bit too far, as DP picked up on about Germany.

Though I think their are other agendas in play in Germany and the EU..

  2. Well it would nice for a change to see the media take the Prime Minister to task and they have already have the lies and distorted facts to do exactly that. The Prime Minister yesterdy re- iterated that Labour intention was to “deliver a positive and Facual Election campaign “. This backs up there signing up to Facebooks Transparency rules, l stand by these actions as Prime Minister and Leader of the Labour Party. In this announcement on several media sites you can find different lies on Poverty, the economy, unemployment and others, not a single word on failure and there has been plenty of that.
    https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/political
Facebook is one tool in transparency but it won’t work when you have every other media site ignoring her lies and pushing her campaign to be re- elected.

      • Pascal after Jacinda’s play on poverty since well before she was in Government and Prime Minister to blatantly lie over figure she herself won’t release and the Salvation Army saying the total of those in poverty is double of that when they became the Government.

        14

        0

        • I am still looking for the Salvation Army comment, but here is another one that says Child Poverty has risen from 100,000 to 250,000 since the Coalition and Jacinda have been in charge.

          11

          0

          • There is no such thing as ‘child poverty’. Since we closed the coal mines and started sending them to ‘schools’ to be indoctrinated, children have not had to work and they have therefore not earned any income and not had to make financial decisions.

Children cannot be ‘poor’. How they are treated by their parents is another matter of course, but ‘child poverty’ is a bullshit term that is just another lie from the social propagandists pushing their barrows.

  4. Wuhan connection.
In a shocking revelation made Tuesday afternoon – a revelation that will almost certainly rattle the US-China relationship at an already fragile time – a federal court unsealed indictments against Harvard professor and Chemistry Department Head Charles Lieber, along with two Chinese nationals. One is a Boston University researcher who was once a lieutenant in the People’s Liberation Army, according to prosecutors, and the second was a cancer researcher who tried to smuggle 21 vials of biological materials in his sock – allegedly.

    • So it is a bit more than just Europeans having big honkers.

In a news conference Monday at Queen’s Park, Ontario chief medical officer of health, Dr. David Williams, said that masks were “never recommended” to stop the spread of viruses.

“It’s more important that you don’t put your hands up to your face,” Williams said.

In fact, wearing a mask could actually present some risk due to the frequency with which the wearer is touching their face.

Masks are typically used to keep germs in, rather than keep them out — this means they’re more effective in hospital settings than out in public, medical experts say.
      https://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2020/01/27/more-toronto-residents-are-wearing-face-masks-but-will-they-help-protect-you-from-getting-the-coronavirus.html
Surgical masks are to stop the surgeon infecting you after he has done some deep cuts.

An age where there are so many different ways, of “virtue signaling”, to be seen doing something, anything, then double down and make everyone else comply.
Just waiting for chief “virtue signaler” coming out with tea towel bobbling on head, and now a surgical mask. 🙁 to give out hugs.

For how many hours are they effective?
When was the last time they even washed them, let alone sterilize them?

  7. Virtue signalling numpties give P/N vegan cafe bad reviews for cafe going “waste free”

A kick in the gut’: Palmerston North cafe Barley flooded with bad reviews after ‘nappy ban’
    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=12303532&ref=clavis

A Palmerston North café is copping a tidal wave of online abuse after telling mums his cafe toilet was “not a nappy changing station”.

A mum, who McNelis says has since “apologised profusely”, visited the café earlier this week and was shocked to see a sign on the toilet door that read: “This is not a nappy changing station. If you require those facilities, the Plaza will be able to accommodate you much better. Just remember the people who have to clean that mess are the same people who serve you food.”

The vegan café is aiming to be one of the first hospitality establishments in New Zealand to go waste free.

        • True to a point but her legacy will be that of a pathetic socialist PM who was completely out of her depth in any sort of situation requiring a modicum of competence or intelligence and ended her tenure a laughing stock in NZ history.

          2

          0

    • This was always on the cards, since the protests first started.

Wait for it. Property rights, the rule of law and even democracy itself will be branded as alien white man’s constructs which need to be purged in the name of the ‘de-colonisation’ of ‘Aotearoa’.

Don’t look to the Dribble party for any help either. They will simply not comment for fear of alienating the Maoris waiting in the wings.

Only ACT and NC offer any hope for the future. Failing that, continuing appeasement will probably throw up a hard core violent resistance if the rights of the ordinary kiwi continue to be ignored.

p.s. This is probably why the Marxists moved so swiftly to confiscate people’s guns.

      • I’ve wanted to ask this question for a long time, but I’ve always considered that Jacinda Ardern is the type of communist that would send people after you. There is a risk to all of us in commenting here with at least some form of trace-ability of our identities.

The political opposition is so piss scared they’re not even willing to rule out forming a government with the most corrupt, dishonest and venal politician New Zealand has ever had – the same politician that enabled this mess from Labour.

So when would you consider revolution? Not just protest, but actual rising up against a government that is stealing your freedoms? Large scale protest, civil disobedience, mass refusal to pay taxes, etc. Labour have step by step over the last three years eroded the basis of our democracy and they look set to continue to do so.

At the beginning Avi tells the police about the articles of “breach of peace” and advises police they could be in breach of it, if they arrest him.

Many interesting questions to be asked, like where the “rent money” goes to? 🙂
Seems to be a green party person, a who? is in on many of those “charitable” bank accounts. hmmmm follow the money.

From 13 minutes and on the police became very concerned for his ‘safety’.
Then arrests him at 14 minutes 20 secs.

Probably Avi is considered a lethal weapon in his own right. 🙂

Seems to start more than half way through, but at the start, is where Avi gives notification to interested police about Section 6 and what his lawyer advises.

Probably a bit too many, but I did enjoy skimming off these comments with minor editing or clipping.
“For your safety I will hand cuff you so you can’t defend yourself from the violent mob”
“Probably shoot him if it gets too unsafe for him!
Mob rule wins out all the time
If you want to make a spectacle of yourself be ready to answer questions. No leftist is going to lecture me about his idiotic views and then not be challenged by me or anyone else. You want to protest? Then I’ll protest YOU!

    “We eliminate speech for safety”
“We arrest you for your safety”
“We ban your Social Media for your safety”
“We ban your POV for safety”
“We ban private gun ownershp for your safety” Just like stalin, hitler, and mao did!

    .
So if if a man might rape a woman for dressing too sexy, she should be arrested for “breach of the peace” for her own protection since she may provoke the rapist?

Just different ways how assets, debts, write-downs, can be treated, and where they are placed.

Set in motion other expenditure, of not great value, that becomes very difficult to pull back.
The train set, that cleaned out the cupboard,
A lot of that was hidden even with the “prefu”

The BNZ bail out, that was sprung on an incoming government.
I do not know all the ins and outs, but it seemed that not only would share holders definitely loose, not that I care, but the depositers & borrowers may have some rough and ready hair cuts.
Rightly or wrongly that set things overall for a few years a tough regime emitting from the “mother of all budgets”.

The Serious Fraud Office investigates serious or complex fraud. Our priorities lie with cases where:-
~ There are multiple victims (usually investors) of the suspected fraud
~ Those allegedly involved are in important positions of trust
~ The alleged criminal transactions have significant legal or financial complexity beyond the resources of most other law enforcement agencies
~ There are allegations of bribery and corruption.
In the case of bribery or corruption matters, we focus on crimes involving public officials, which could undermine public confidence in the administration of laws.

Confirmed, neither the leader, Simon Bridges or National Party have been charged.

      • Both National and Bridges have consistently denied any wrongdoing, and neither have been charged by the SFO.

So it remains to be seen, if any one will be thrown under the National Party bus… or just how close they were.

Then there is some one with a recent large mortgage may have been tempted?

Or did some else move or not account for some money and where it was suppose to go to?

Will know much more once name suppression is lifted and just what are the charges?
On the 25th February, will then know what they plead.
The test of fire again for Simon Bridges.
Now, where is the truth? rather than conjecture.

        • Why would anyone be thrown under the bus , on newshub at 4.30 , the reporter said that no member staffer MP or Bridges have been charged , the donations are still legal , there is something else that stinks with this , I would say JLR and associates maybe charged , the donation was through his office , he has complete responsibility of the donations , jLR is refusing to answer his phone when the media tried to contact him

      • Certainly many millions of dollars swirling around in that “ministry” with no ministerial oversight.

Some may return back to a Labour or NZ First electorate bank account after some special filtering. *cough coronavirus cough*

    • It’s a shame the gun buy-back didn’t extend to pistols. Least that way Simon Bridges wouldn’t be capable of shooting himself and National in the foot 🙂

        • Yeah, I know that. You don’t have to repeat it. But I also think Bridges has not played this whole donation scandal very well. They keep on serving up vectors of attack, rather than shutting it down at the start. Hence – shot himself in the foot with it.

  16. Trump is truly one of the great leaders of our time.

In his first term he has rebuilt relationships with North Korea and Russia ending the damage done by the war criminal Obama.

Now he is applying that statesmanship to the Middle East. A strong ally of Israel, he is now bringing forward a proposal for the Palestinians. Hopefully the religious lunatics won’t undermine it.

No matter where you stand on the issue, the current situation is crap for both Israel and Palestine.

Trump haters are terrorists and severe measures need to be employed to neutralize them.

    • When parliament sits agan,
Will he be allowed to be speaker,or will he stand aside?
Is he going to shuffle of into the sunset?
Not the best look for Labour in their year of truth and fluffy ducks, leading up to the election!
Will Duckys membership card save him?
I bet he’s hoping for the dud judge that tryed the ministers son!

  17. I believe this COL will try something like this just before the election. Christchurch was a test run.

On September 10, 2001, then U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld disclosed that his department was unable to account for roughly $2.3 trillion worth of transactions. The next day, the U.S. sustained the terrorist attacks that changed the world, and this startling revelation was forgotten.

    https://www.stuff.co.nz/business/119067433/climate-change-minister-james-shaw-expects-carbon-credit-numbers-to-shock#comments

Then you look at the article and Shaw says nothing of the sort. He reckons the response has been muted.
The really interesting thing is the poll –when I looked, 43 % opted for the ” I have other views” option . You do not have to be the brain of Britain to read between lines and think what other views would be.

NB Maggy , your friend Dennis Horne is “banging away” in the comments.

    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2020/01/government-accused-of-idea-stealing-as-reactions-to-multibillion-dollar-infrastructure-boost-flood-in.html

Reactions are flooding in about the Government’s multibillion-dollar infrastructure spend as National claims ideas have been stolen while Greenpeace is livid about new roads.

The $12 billion spend up announced on Wednesday includes $8 billion for transport across the country, along with $10 million for decarbonisation projects and $300 million for mental health facilities.

You can only build 20 average cruise ships for that amount of dosh.
Oh well, good thing we aren’t buying any, still, we are fortunate enough to let them into our ports, and greet the passengers with open arms, and a hug too. Yay.

    https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1234806/coronavirus-british-airways-latest-flight-news-flight-tracker-coronavirus-beijing-wuhan

Meanwhile Air New Zealand is still advertising non stop flights to China with domestic connections. Health experts are urging the government to take steps to prevent the ‘export’ of infectious diseases to the Pacific, including considering halting all air travel to the region if the Wuhan coronavirus arrives in New Zealand.
