  1. Audrey Young : First debate of the year marred by Mallardsinsults to Bridges.
The lively and good humored cut and thrust of Parliaments firstLeaders debate this year came to a thudding stop after Trevor Mallard lost his temper with Simon Bridges.
This has not been unusual over the last two year with Mallard consistantly insulting Bridges when he seems to have things that border on corrupt practice concerning the PM, Deputy PM and many Ministers and this from a Speaker that is supposed to be controlling debate and serious discussion on Bill’s being passed through Parliament.

  2. Winston Peters seems to think that people that donate to NZ First need and are intitled to anonymity and the privacy of what they do even if it is illegal.
But it seem to be different when Jamie Lee Ross spewed his lies about donations that incidentally Simon Bridges and National have been cleared of by the SFO in recent weeks, in which Winston Peter’s continually kept mentioning at every opportunity he got.
But now the boot is on the other foot and being investigated by the SFO it is unfair that he is under the spotlight with serious allegations that many think is donations for policy that Peter’s has achieved for the Racing sector.

Winston Peters wants to hold others to account, with also continually making decorative remarks about there dealings but crys foul when others try to hold him or his MP’sto account for what seems and has the stench of corrupt practice.

    • Happy – David Seymour – question to Deputy pm – have you been interviewed by the SFO yet and is NZ’s integrity damaged during the PTPM absence being represented by someone under investigation for Alleged Fraud or breach of other laws, a yes or no answer will suffice thank you.

    • So Auckland’s managers have solved the problem of sewage and stormwater flooding the harbour when it rains, and now have the time and resources to pfaff about with nonsense like this.
      Good to know.

    • Are there going to be cavalries of them swarming in to sort out the gangs in Hawkes Bay or the Bay of Plenty? Thought not.

      • Stuart Nash would have problems having them in the Bay as he would value the fact that that was where the Mongrel Mobs First Chapter originated from, and as you know Labour and the PM appreciate mixing with sex deviate’s and criminals.

      • I lived in the Dilworth building on the corner of Queen Street for a few months when I first arrived in New Zealand. This is now nearly two decades back, but apart from the boy racers cruising around the block and people shagging on the bench in front of the (then) bar across the road; the one thing that I distinctly remember was a very, very slow police chase.

The crims where in a small vehicle, like Daihatsu Charade type size being chased by a handful of police cars. They were all doing around 5km/h to 10km/h around the block, around the block. They must have gone around four or five times before the crims crashed into somebody at the traffic lights and were swarmed by policemen.

Cue Benny Hill music; just like that!

    • I am finding it hard to respect the police at all after the debacle of the gun investigations of licensed gun owners and the baby whose parents bashed it to within an inch of its life etc etc. Things are not as they once were in the respect of police deserving of respect.

      • The sole purpose of the police and military is to protect those in power from those who are not.

        Never forget that.

        • Back in the early 1990s a similar thing happened.

The beanies worked out that it cost 18c per km to run a motorcycle cop and 16c per km for a police car.. but the car could hold two or more people so the police motorcycles were scrapped.
          True.
A few were kept for ceremonial purposes.
Years later the stupidity was seen by the police while many of the public saw the stupidity straight away.
          History repeats.

    • > Letting Extinction rebellion run riot in Wellington and telling the taxpayer/workers to stay home
ie. the NZ poo lice endorse criminals taking over the Capital city
(I guess the politicians were there first, though ! )

      > Politicised so there was no action taken on trespassers on private land on Ihumatao.
500 houses NOT built – cue the violins for no fecking houses built

      > The NZ police provided Brenton Tarrant, Brenton Tarrant, Brenton Tarrant with a gun licence when the most basic test would show he was not fit and proper (trips to North Korea and Pakistan kind of indicate that; sheet, even the cricketers do not go to Pakistan when they are playing Pakistan ! )
      Politicised!
How convenient there was a big poo lice training exercise in Christchurch that day for the Dunedin-based Tarrant to go there and perform his act… at that exact time.
No action on complaints by people at the Otago gun range. Why?
Shut down of discussion of this event. The propaganda machine kicked in with scarf’s and hugs but suppression of facts.
Then prosecute people who watched the video in the first 48 hours when it was legal, ….but not Ardern who admitted to watching it = politicised like the Stasi

      >Can’t keep hold of guns but no punishment – the opposite of what happens to private citizens
They even raid homes of Christians looking for weapons of mass bunny destruction but won’t look for AK47 s in gang pads.

      > Gangs have grown 30% in 2 years under this politicised ‘navy blue’ gang

NZ police …..Not an ounce of fecking respect.

You can see the parallel. It is scary.
The description : ‘Shield and Sword of the Party’ should clue you in

…The Ministry for State Security (German: Ministerium für Staatssicherheit, MfS) or State Security Service (Staatssicherheitsdienst, SSD), commonly known as the Stasi was the official state security service of the German Democratic Republic (East Germany).
It has been described as one of the most effective and repressive intelligence and secret police agencies ever to have existed.[3][4][5][6][7][8]
The Stasi was headquartered in East Berlin, with an extensive complex in Berlin-Lichtenberg and several smaller facilities throughout the city.
The Stasi motto was Schild und Schwert der Partei (Shield and Sword of the Party), referring to the ruling Socialist Unity Party of Germany (Sozialistische Einheitspartei Deutschlands, SED) …

      • Have they taken his comments out of context? Who knows but he called the COL communists which is true. Police should be actively concentrating on the armed gangs running amok. Is someone calling the COL names really the priority the cops should be directing their time and energy at???

This is the headline TVNZ has on their website:
Cop praised for calm approach to man saying he wanted to ‘hang MPs’
The man called them the “Nazi police”.

  3. Loved Seymour’s dig at Slimy Winston in the house. Reminiscent of Slimy’s “no” signs he held up signs showing the regular shapes – pentagon, hexagon, octagon then finally a picture of Slimy Winston with the phrase “should be gone”.

Dumb as Fuck Cindy in the meantime recited a poem she plagiarised from one of the kindergarten kids she’s visited. It didn’t make any sense when she read it either. Dumb is as dumb does.

  4. Winston Peters on NZ First Foundation : ‘I did not receive any money’
The Deputy Prime Minister Winston Peter’s has attemped to by pass the media, answering questions about the secretive NZ First Foundation in a live video on facebook, asked if he would resign as Deputy Prime Minister his new catch phrase replacing the no sign from previous discrepancies that dogged him in his last encounter with the Serious fraud office he replied, I didn’t receive any money. I am not part of the Foundation. and so don’t have any information I could proffer to for example, the Police or the Serious Fraud Office? No, because I have never seen one of the accounts ( of the NZ First Foundation).
    https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/political/409384/winston-peters-on-foundation-donations-i-did-not-receive-any-money
Peter must think the NZ Voter is stupid and if I was a NZ First Member it would disgust me that he thinks we are so gullible.

    • Thanks. That indicates making a submission was time wasted given the bulk of submissions appear to have been ignored.

Another disgraceful example of this very inadequate government setting democracy aside. The Royal Commission Report was not awaited and they continue to press on regardless. Only view from that is perhaps they have a feeling their punitive legislation and regulations made in a rush will not be supported in the Commissions report.

      • There were thousands of submissions but the law was passed 2 days later.
One day was allowed for face to face personal submissions.

Remember Notional and Soimon Bridges supported this anti democratic move and they supported retrospective legislation on criminalising people who watched the video of 15 March when it was legal in the first 48 hours.

Don’t roll over for these anti democracy scum.
New Zealand is rapidly following the German Democratic Republic (East Germany) to become the Aotearower Democratic Republic where words mean nothing and lies is the currency of the day.

  6. A vicar, doctor and engineer were playing a round of golf. They got to the third tee and were delayed by people still playing the hole.
The engineer lost his patience, “What’s going on? We’ve been here at least 20 minutes!”
    The doctor nodded in agreement.
The vicar saw the green keeper walking by and shouted to him, “How come that group ahead of us are so slow?”
The green keeper replied, “Oh, they’re all blind firemen. They all lost their sight pulling school children out of a burning building, so they can play anytime for free.”
Everyone was silent for a few seconds.
The vicar finally said, “Oh dear. I’ll be sure to pray for them. Well done on such charitable work good fellow.”
The doctor added, “Yes, well done to you. I’ll make sure they get the best treatment at the eye unit in the hospital too.”
The engineer, arms folded, tapping his feet said, “Ok, but if they’re blind then why can’t they play at night?”

  7. Stop cracking down on gangs criminality and treat them like misunderstood children and it emboldens them. Who would have thought?! //

Waikato Mongrel Mob clash with National over proposed gang crackdown
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2020/02/waikato-mongrel-mob-clash-with-national-over-proposed-gang-crackdown.html

Simmering tensions in the Hawke’s Bay have boiled over into violence, with recent brawls and shootings across the region.

A fight between dozens of Mongrel Mob and Black Power members in the Napier suburb of Taradale left shotgun pellets in a man’s face – and pellets in a child’s car seat. That same weekend, shots were fired in a gang-related incident in

It’s added fuel to the National Party’s calls for a gang crackdown, as it gears up to run on a law and order campaign in the upcoming 2020 election.

      So it is everywhere.

Anyhow, I have it on good authority- the voracious news hounds of NZ media – that the gangs in the Waikato have given up violence and are now making school lunches.

  8. My daughter is a teacher at an International School in Nanjing – 536 km from Wuhang. Originally the school opening was pushed at twice to February 10th, now possibly March 2nd. The laws are getting tougher, home quarantine for anyone returning, many Embassies are suggesting people stay out of China.
They now need a permit to freely leave and enter their housing compound, in one area that is restricted to only one person per family and only once per day.
Overall it looks like they need to buckle in for a decent home detention sentence.

      • Social reform is like the COL’s approach to crime and justice. As the COL allow criminals free rein without real consequences or applicable prison sentences crime will rise. People generally take the easiest route for themselves so equally, if you remove accountability by normalising living on a benefit due to idleness without any expectations of securing employment, giving out hardship grants, supplying state housing, increasing payments for breeding more and more children for the state to pay for, then numbers of benefit dependents will continue to grow. Every group seems to have their hand out for the taxpayer to pay as Socialist Cindy has made herself indispensible to all the needs of society. They all need to be housed somewhere.

How much more can the TAXPAYER take on!!!

“He told MPs this morning that although it is still early days, the initial forecasts are that New Zealand’s economy could take a more than $250 million hit.

“Not here to worship what is known, but to question it” – Jacob Bronowski. Climate and energy news from Germany in English – by Pierre L. Gosselin

Northern Europe and the Arctic show signs of winter cooling over the past decades. Could the global warming theory be in for an upset?

Looking at January data over the northern Europe, we see no real warming trend for the month, according to data from the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).

When plotting mean January temperatures for Norway for stations where data are available since 1988, we see that 7 of 11 stations show a cooling trend since 1988, despite rising CO2:

  13. I found crayfish. And managed to carry the two of them home in my saddle bags. But fark me, I’d hoped for some Chinese New Year / Coronavirus discounts after the rumours catch was being returned for next years’ quota (Pending MPI confirmation). No way though, $108 per kg for live, or $139 per kg for frozen tails.

    4

    0

    • The Chinese would have been sent live crayfish for the New Year so the fishers slipped them back into the water for a better return next time. No way were they going to sell them cheap for the likes of us to enjoy a bonanza. I salivated when I read your recipe. Enjoy every morsel!!

      4

      0

      • Not sure about that WG. Crayfish is taken under quota & typically the fisherman leases the quota……last year Cray 4 which covers the Wellington area from Wanganui to Hawkes Bay was being leased at about $70kg. It’s negotiated a year in advance the season running 1 April to 31 Mar. The bloke doing the fishing takes market prices but would be hoping for $30+. (there are two minimum sized cray per kilo). The Chinese New Year is normally very lucrative so most operators hold back a ton or two of quota hoping to make some real coin. I can’t see them returning their catch to the sea as if the prices were hopeless they wouldn’t bother taking the boat out.

I’ve never had to buy crayfish but I reckon Pascal’s $108 might be more of a bargain than he thinks.

“So when Cabinet ministers sat around tut-tutting the fact that the fertility rate for Maori females aged 13 to 17 years was 26.2 per 1000, more than five times that of non-Maori … I objected to their analysis of our fertility as a problem.”

    I won’t paste extracts.

It appears this tart wrote an unauthorised biography on Ron Brierley decades ago and never got the recognition perhaps she expected she ‘deserved’.
Perhaps she received a note telling her it was bollocks and has been waiting all this time to get revenge.

If there was any failing of Ron Brierley it was that he surrounded himself with weak, vain people who were ready to poo on others at the drop of a hat.

Bruce Judge thought he was too big for Brierley so went off to end up heading Ariadne in the mid 1980s.
He was as dodgy as hell and when asked about the status of his precarious company before the 1987 stockmarket crash his usual BS answer was along the lines of :-
‘How dare you ask me such a question; I am a Christian.’
So, he was as slimy as well as dodgy. Who knows how much of a ‘Christian’ he was?
People with money in his circus tent lost the lot.

There was Paul Collins who became CEO and part of the mob to oust Sir Ron.
The former accountant for a local gas retailer was not as sharp as he thought he was. He spearheaded the buy into Thistle Hotels- England. This hog tied BIL for years and the outfit declined under him. Collin’s record of true successes in life is remarkably small.

The lawyer active with Collins in the early 1990s is the current G.G. Patsy Reddy. She was very active in blocking the voting in of independent directors from a (justified) disgruntled set of shareholders who saw their money pissed away.
Reddy and Collins were a nasty pair who took legal but close-to-the-edge steps to keep out independent oversight.
There was good reason for others to not see what was really happening.
IIRC Collins golden handshake was about $5 million- a lot at the time and esp when he presided over shareholder wealth destruction.

The CFO who was part of chucking out Paul Collins was Herman Rockerfeller.
I don’t think he had an overlap with Ron Brierley.
He was eventually found murdered when he turned up in Melbourne to a wife swapping event without a wife. Ooops!
He got chainsawed into pieces. A holey man!
He had a wife, a mistress, and was an active swinger with 5 mobile phones to manage all this.
I expect he had them on vibrate!
His mistress (of 27 years) even received a settlement from his estate.
His wife must have been pretty dozy to not know all this was going on…or the $$$$ made it right!

I guess this will never be honestly reported by the dodos that collect a paycheck in NZ s joke fraternity known by some as ‘Media’
The nasty Yvonne van Dongen seems to be one of this crowd.

Sir Ron has always been an odd egg. Few could deny it.
However the people he associated with seldom had greater morals than an alley cat.
Cactus Kate even suggests Brierley was set up.
    https://asianinvasion2019.blogspot.com/2020/02/was-sir-ron-brierley-set-up.html

Brierley was a numbers on paper guy, not a people person.
Some scuzz bags – often the ones calling for diversity – can’t accept that people are different from themselves.

I am not suggesting his innocence or guilt as I do not know but it is interesting that the media filth that hate ‘rich pricks’ are crawling out of the woodwork for this and getting nasty.
The same filth I imagine that hate ‘the orange man’ and luv Ben-Ghastly Hillary.

    • You have to love Cactus Kate. Who else could do a wrap-up like this:

……”Much younger men is a different matter as it is always pointed towards pedophilia and Thai sex trips and is a far steeper social stigma for men who do not wish to accept after all these years that they actually like cock.”…….

Sir Ron may have trod roads less travelled but if this was his bag I reckon it would have surfaced before now.

      • It was strongly rumoured decades ago that he preferred the ‘little gentlemens’
A term ‘Con the Fruiterer’ used in a role in the 1980s played by Mark Mitchell.

The Homosexual law reform only happened in NZ in 1986 vs 1968 in Uk.
Prior to that it was best to keep quiet and then afterwards, why advertise it.

A greater likelihood of rent boys in his life than young girls.
Given that he would have paid for it it is at least a step up from the Catholic priests, bishops, and cardinals who don’t even pay yet talk bollocks about morality from a pulpit about what others should do.

This would point to it being a set up.
Cactus Kate holds quite an affection for Old Ron.

Interesting that in the same week two of the heavyweights of the 1980s sharemarket are in court. Sir Ron and Sir Bob Jones.
I have not heard it stated by Jones but among his many wives, lovers and begating of children thereof are some Maori children from said relationships so it is unlikely he is anti-Maori.

  21. ACT is going to be at the Flying Moa on the 23rd of February; little pub at the top of Lunn Avenue in Auckland. It’s a social meet and greet with Stephen Berry in-case anyone is interested.

I’ll be wandering over for sure – they make a Diablo burger there that is really delicious. Juicy and meaty with one of those soft, powder top buns and a generous helping of chilli to heat it up. It’s really good; the type of burger you mop the plate for juices with.

    • Ardern is crapping herself realising she is no longer the chosen one,

Watch Jethro heading off on an extended overseas fishing trip to avoid continual screeching and smashing plates.

As for Peters he is trying to find a mirror big enough for his ego.

      What a bunch of tossers.

  23. So how much would it cost the taxpayer for both TVNZ and RNZ? When is this taxpayer funded spending spree of the COL going to be stopped?!

    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2020/02/the-taxpayer-cost-of-ad-free-tv1.html

It would cost taxpayers $250 million a year to watch TV1 without any ads, TVNZ’s boss has revealed as the Government moves forward with a plan to merge it with RNZ.

Both TVNZ and RNZ bosses fronted up to a Parliamentary select committee on Thursday in the midst of the Government’s planned merger – the details of which were announced last week.

  24. But buried in the data was a number the Democrats should take serious notice of. Trump himself already has.

With a final total of 130,805 votes in New Hampshire, Trump blew away the record for an incumbent president in the state.

When Barack Obama ran for re-election in 2012, he got 49,080 votes in the Democratic primary, where he was unopposed. George W. Bush got 53,962 in 2004. Bill Clinton had the previous record of 76,797 in 1996.
