  1. What a difference 10 days can make, back then a drop of a thousand on the US markets was armegedon now its “if we are lucky it’ll only be around a thousand down today” .
I’m extremely happy that we consolidated all our investments about 10 months ago and put it mid term bank deposits, a very low 2.5 % but “if we are lucky” we’ll still own it after this Chinese designed balls up plays out to the end.
PS, Avoid the Broiled bats wing broth and the rats testicals smoothie even if it does come with free Coronavirus inoculation,LOL.

  2. Funny That

Last year was a terrible year for China. Hong Kong democracy protesters led the news cycle for months – huge embarrassment to the Chinese government. Plus Trump ate their lunch over trade – flatlining their economy.

They must have wondered what they could do that could, do to:
    A. Take the Hong Kong protesters off the news
    And
    B. Crash the US economy to revenge what Trump did to them

Boom! Corona virus explodes in China!

    Mission accomplished!

The guest speaker is Alfred Ngaro, National List MP based in Te Atatu and National’s Spokesperson for Children, Community & Voluntary Sector, Disability Issues and Pacific Peoples.

I would think late term abortions will be discussed. This will be the only delivery of this evil communist PTPM.

  5. Kiwi Vietnam War vets reunite after nearly 50 years

A very special reunion happened this week between two veterans who fought alongside each other in Vietnam.
    https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/kiwi-vietnam-war-vets-reunite-after-nearly-50-years?auto=6140730703001

“I’m gonna be guessing what Murphy looks like, 47 years older than when I last saw him,” Mullane told Seven Sharp before the reunion.

Then the big moment came, with Mullane remembering how his young signaller friend “had my back the whole time” during the war.

After Vietnam, Mullane continued with the military, moving up the ranks.

When Murphy finished his tour he retreated into Fiordland bush, hunting to survive.

This week the pair travelled to Taupo to catch up with other surviving members of their company, Victor 6.

  6. NZ lawyer Andrew Hooker dies in motorcycle crash in Australia
    https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/120238148/nz-lawyer-andrew-hooker-dies-in-motorcycle-crash-in-australia

A top New Zealand lawyer has died in a motorcycle crash while testing out his new Harley Davidson in Australia.

Hamilton-born Andrew Hooker, 55, a “preeminent” civil and insurance litigator, who was involved in bank fee lawsuits and a test case against the Earthquake Commission (EQC), died in New South Wales on Wednesday afternoon.

New South Wales Police believed the motorcycle travelled under a closed boom gate and collided with a section of the raised bridge.

She said he brought class action against banks over penalty fees and legal action against EQC on behalf of owners of on-sold homes with botched repairs in the wake of the Christchurch earthquakes.

    • Ireland has gone into shutdown,
      The Republic of Ireland

It has also been announced that the Republic of Ireland will close all schools, universities and childcare facilities as of Friday (local time) to combat the spread of the virus.

Prime Minister Leo Varadkar announced the measures on Thursday (local time), the closures also applying to museums, cultural institutions and tourist attractions.
      France
In a televised address, President Emmanuel Macron announced all schools and universities will be closed from Monday “until further notice”. People over the age of 70, who are more likely to die from COVID-19 once infected, are urged to remain at home.

      Spain

Universities and schools will also be closed across a number of Spain’s regional governments, including in Catalonia, the Basque Country, Valencia and the Canary Islands. Madrid and La Rioja implemented the same precaution earlier this week.

      Around the world

In the Middle East, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has also declared that schools and universities will be closed as a precautionary measure.

    • If Trump came up with a cure for COVID 19 tonight then tomorrow the media would slam him for ‘something’ in relation to it.

The media are lying scum and a waste of time for information.
      Their opinions are even worse.
…and it is mostly opinion, not facts.

I am amazed and disappointed that there are so many ignorant people in NZ who suck up the media lies then spout it out as if these are facts.
I don’t follow rugby and don’t care much for it. I have no opinion on who should be the 1st Five or kicker or flanker. I simply do not know about it. Therefore I will not impose my ignorance of others in this regard.
I wish they would admit their ignorance over politics and STFU.

I mean, he is out from jail after a fairly short time. Only 24 years of age. The little girl would be about 14.
Wouldn’t a relative track him down, with some length of rubber hose, zip ties, and a hack saw and spend an evening together?
If the little girl was my family member I would be wanting to employ gang members to savage his sphincter while he was inside, and would seriously think about how he might ‘disappear’ once on the outside.

    • When they put it that way, yeah, what are the odds.
Does not compute. Something is wrong.
We simply cannot make assumptions from ‘official’ figures, make half-arsed keyboard prophecies, or really know what this means in a week, or a month or a year from now.
Seems even more futile than climate prediction models.

I take this away from the article, in the context of China being successful in reducing active cases – {especially for note by loud mouthed retards who in their deluded self superiority call other people retards):
“When the final history of the coronavirus epidemic of 2020 is written, it may go something like this: The disease started in China, but it became finally and irrevocably uncontained in Iran. Knowing that the Iranian number is much higher than currently disclosed tells the rest of the world that the epidemic is even further along than official statistics indicate.”

I heard weeks ago about that evidence was coming out of graves being dug for 10,000 capacity.
I didn’t pay much attention. There are so many facts and far to many opinions, and rumour, about cov-19
      But just saw this: (!)
“At the Behesht-e Masoumeh complex in Qom, about 80 miles south of Tehran, the excavation of a new section of the graveyard began as early as Feb. 21, satellite images show, and then rapidly expanded as the virus spread. By the end of the month, two large trenches – their lengths totaling 100 yards – were visible at the site from space.”

      https://www.seattletimes.com/nation-world/irans-coronavirus-burial-pits-are-so-vast-theyre-visible-from-space/
“In the following video, shared by the BBC’s Persian service March 3, the narrator describes the scene at Behesht-e Masoumeh cemetery as men carry a casket toward a trench with multiple graves. Qom, like other parts of Iran, is grappling with the coronavirus outbreak that has sickened thousands of people and overwhelmed the public health infrastructure.

“This is the section for coronavirus victims,” the narrator says, as the camera pans across a small portion of the trench, showing mounds of dirt and small, simple markers. People wearing blue protective suits are seen standing nearby. “More than 80 [people] have been buried in this section so far, and they say {nationality} only 34 deaths,” he says, citing the official death toll on Feb. 28.”

  12. Further gun law changes stall as mosque attacks anniversary nears
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2020/03/further-gun-law-changes-stall-as-mosque-attacks-anniversary-nears.html

National Party police spokesperson Brett Hudson agreed, taking aim in Parliament at Nash.

“It’s actually quite rich that we have a minister leading a Bill that is focused almost entirely on greater cost, regulation and rules on people who already follow the law,” he said.

“He’s prioritising that ahead of things like firearms prohibition order that would actually do something.

“Give police a genuine additional tool to keep firearms out of the hands of criminals, and particularly gang member criminals.”

The debate was fiery during the second reading of the Bill, with Nash infuriated at heckles from Hudson saying the police were not tackling gangs with guns.

  13. Great news. According to official figures the number of ACTIVE CASES of Covid-19 is slightly less than a month ago.

Note to imbeciles: detract recovered cases from the total. And punch yourself in the head retard.

    0

    7

    • Do you you think you are the only person who understand the difference between ‘Total’ cases, Active and Recovered?

Last time you pointed out a dip in the growth of new cases compared to mid-Feb, it was still not entirely telling, because the new cases are being taken over by new cases outside of China – the virus is getting amongst many more new populations. This is the worst possible outcome.
So yeah, China might be doing well now. Maybe they have gotten past the worst.
But there is a reason places like he US and Italy and northern Europeans are moving to close borders. They are not worrying about China anymore, and 50,000 recovered Chinese doesn’t make any difference.

Aside from insulting readers, your presumption (and insecurity?) about people having different opinions – it is hard to know what barrow you are pushing.
On one extreme not long ago you were asserting that Cov-19 was widespread in NZ, already here.
      50-70% of us can be expected to get it, says you. {I can’t remember the last time I got a flu actually.}
So, aside from less than sage predictions with puerile insults directed at a readership who seem much more balanced and probably smarter than you, why the fuck are you bothering at all and why do you pretend to know what it all means when you can’t possible have all the facts?
Because nobody has all the facts. They don’t exist.

      7

      1

      • “50-70% of us can be expected to get it, says you.”

Says numerous experts now. So what you meant to say is – Kea was right weeks ago. Experts agree with Kea. ( not with imbeciles)

Your hysterics dont change the fact there are less cases now than a month ago.

70,000 recovered and that figure is climbing faster than new cases are rising. You stupid boy.

No I dont claim to have all the facts. But all my predictions have been 100% accurate. In spite of you lying to the contrary. Not knowing all the facts does not clear the way for hysterical drivel from low life imbecile bottom feeders to promote insanity. Sort your head out. Its pathetic.

  19. I have just been to the ACT function with Dozy Don Brash.
He had his go at Trump. No facts. Just misguided.

The clown sharing the Donald name with the great one is not all that bright.
But he said Donald Trump is not very bright.
    Ironic.
DJT is President of the United States = POTUS. Won on first go.
Don was the leader of Notional and did not win an election.
Dozy Don was leader of ACT and could not win a seat.

He might call Trump ignorant and dishonest – and he does – so should we bring up that 10 years ago Donny Brash was a director of Huljich Kiwisaver funds that was doing dodgy deeds and Peter Huljich was ultimately convicted and fined. Don Brash and John Banks were directors and should have been brought into the net as directors. They were not. How convenient.
Don Brash – people in glass houses….

I won’t raise the fact that in 1990 Brash said people should not buy houses…then 18 months later (approx) he did. But, but it was different, you see!
Oh wait, I just did raise it. Oh Well.

I’ll let Dozy Don off as I believe he is well down the track of Autism so can’t understand people.
He lacks the social skills to comprehend the greatness of the real Donald Trump.
Don’s (the non-winning one) best place is with his nose in a book.

Brash’s presentation was mediocre but it was good to meet some intelligent people there.

    10

    0

    • That is disapointing.
Agree about glass houses. Some of those that cry Waaaacist will say that Don is the NZ Trump, without a doubt.
I like what Don Brash says, and is prepared to stand for, with Hobsons choice.
He even goes on red-radio and gives some facts about NZ history to counter the teachers material being given to students.**
There is no benefit in him making any comment about Trump at all, for or against.

**On that note, the commemoration of the battle of Kororareka in the media recently was a load of shit.
it was being turned into a Maori sovereignty bit. and about the mean government had forced Maori patriots to act.
In truth: The Northern War was a civil war amongst Nga Puhi as much as Heke/Kawiti fighting the crown. Heke was not the only chief of NgaPuhi and his mana, and his perpective, were at odds with other chiefs such as Waka Nene – who went to war alongside the British as allies.

Heke was not ‘protesting treaty breaches’ – that is bollocks, and revisionism in the language of modern NZ activists.
Heke didnt like that the capital of NZ had moved to Auckland, and so there was less trade/less tobacco etc in the Bay of Islands. The government levied taxes on ships (which drove them elsewhere), and they flew a British flag (a flag which allegedly a shit-stirring American sailor assured Heke meant the natives were being subjugated, as anywhere in the world it flew the natives vanished.).
So Heke’s PERSONAL material dissatisfaction, and belligerent nature led him to set a portion of Ngapuhi against the crown.
As noted even at the time, some Maori also loved fighting for pure love of fighting. TV did not exist yet.
This is not long after the end of the brutal Musket Wars & and cannibal massacres.
So summing up the rationale of the northern war as ‘protest against treaty breaches’ disguises the very divided thoughts of Ngapuhi on this, and the fact that it involved bloody killings and destruction of property.
It was not busloads of people being deposited by Action Station so that they can wave placards. It was a divisive and very costly war for Bay of Islands Maori and the government.

    https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/new-technology-aims-keep-truck-drivers-alert-behind-wheel?auto=6141263250001

Eye movement , rapid response times and changes to maintain safe driving can be recorded from an experienced driver.
Transporting of goods from A to B are deemed habitual and are easily programmable.
However, variables and instinct are a lot harder to duplicate.

  26. Been having a discussion among the bro’s as to what it would it look like if New Zealand were to be suddenly put under martial law. (Due to limited food and necessities, as we have been taught to forget about self reliance)

Martial law is the imposition of direct military control of normal civilian functions by a government, especially in response to a temporary emergency such as invasion or major disaster, or in an occupied territory. … Civilians defying martial law may be subjected to military tribunal (court-martial).

A couple of the guy’s were hinting at a “not long now” scenario. Most, resembled stunned mullets, as they didn’t even see New Zealand as ever needing to implement such draconian measures.

‘Go bush’, was the resounding consensus…. Yeah right.

“We have agreed we will continue to use border measures and extend them and I expect we’ll continue to make decisions on that over the weekend.”

  28. After reading and listening to Osterholm, I do believe we are well and truly fucked.

Quote:”Osterholm told Rogan the ‘whole issue of using your hands and touching your face’ is likely not the main way the infection is passed. ‘The data is actually very weak that the virus is going to be transmitted this way.’

He added that ‘just breathing air’ is likely the primary way coronavirus is spreading but warned surgical masks don’t block small airborne particles from passing through and entering the nose the mouth.”
    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8102411/Infectious-disease-expert-predicted-spread-coronavirus-says-wearing-mask-wont-help.html

“Osterholm compared the coronavirus to influenza, because the disease transmits very easily through the air, and people are infectious before they ever display symptoms. ”

I suppose all those at the Hijab Hugathon will ensure they don’t breath infected air…. or Maybe Jacinda will have an “Air” recall… Worked well for the guns…..

      • You are correct Ed. It was the scientific community who said, putting a healthy persons fecal material into those that have depleted bacterium, would help solve gut and intestinal issues.
Pushing shit up hill, if you ask me.

  30. Dining with the devil.

Many Italians in Northern Italy sold their leather goods and textiles companies to China. Italy then allowed 100,000 Chinese from Wuhan/Wenzhou to move to Italy to work in these factories, with direct Wuhan flights. Result: Northern Italy is Europe’s hotspot for Wuhan Coronavirus

    Attached tweet:
Also Chinese in Spain pay no taxes as there’s a trade deal between Spain and China so would this be the reason why there’s a large amount of issues in Spain regarding this virus ?

    • Evidently she has. However, she spent 90 minutes next to him. I’d be surprised if she is un tainted. She might have just done New Zealand a huge favour …. ( How many politicians has she been in close contact with ??? – Ones I don’t particularly like????) I am assuming she will have it based on the stuff I have read on how it spreads.
