It’s Hello House for the next four weeks so time for the book recommendations.
Who’s all reading what while we’re all shut up?
(And thank goodness for E-readers)
I might read Chickenhawk again. I’ve owned three copies (loaned to people who obviously enjoyed it as much as me), and read it half a dozen times. Excellent, honest account of a chopper pilot in Vietnam.
Red Notice, is a great read it reads like a thriller but is a real story of the banking and investment world in Russia. At the moment I am reading John Le Carre’s, Agent running in the field. Perhaps not as good as Tinker Taylor soldier spy but still good. So lucky book club was supposed to be at my place but has had to be cancelled so I have many books to choose from during this lockdown.
I enjoy Sebastian Faulks – very rich detail and his first book, Birdsong, is arguably one of the best fictional stories of the Great War. Also like historical fiction by Conn Iggulden, Harry Sidebottom, Robert Harris and Ben Kane. Mostly centered around Ancient Rome but Iggulden also did a great series on the life of Genghis Khan. Stuart McBride and Martin Cruz-Smith for some excellent, gritty crime series.
I’m Doing the Hilary Mantel Wolf Hall Trilogy.
I also want to do the Anthony Powell series – A dance to the music of time
The folks on KB gave me a host of detective fiction writing to follow up.
I’m reading the NZART study guide.
Ha ha, hmm
Creative Arts seems to have got a nice lot of money to dish out, 🙂
Follow the money 🙂
It stands for NZ Association of Radio Transmitters.
Ed. Today’s pic pretty much sums up the real heroes of our country.
I am grateful.
I think the world has needed something like this for a very long time.
Not a war. That would protect those in power.
This affects everyone.
This great leveller brings it home to the entire human race.
It shows what is really important to keep the wheels turning to survive.
We aren’t as resilient as we like to think we are.
I am humbled by the heroes, that have, for a very long time been treated as background noise to our ever so important lives.
When this blip in time is over, I hope they receive the accolades they so richly deserve.
Hip hip hooray X3
Ummm…..to the heroes, no hugs, ok. Not just yet anyway.
Totally agree. Interesting, and not surprising, to note that the police no longer make the cut.
What are journalists doing on that list though?
Exactly Pascal. It must be from the UK given they use the words Civil Service workers.
If we didn’t have churnalists, how would supreme dear leader entreat us to “BE KIND” and all the other crap we will get over the next month.
If we didn’t have churnalists who would we complain about on the blogs?
Harvey (and only ‘cos you asked): Various ‘Appendices to the Journals of the House of Representatives’, numerous Nineteenth and Twentieth Century newspapers, sundry mining-industry publications and a very informative volume titled ‘The Cyanide Process of Gold Extraction’. Lots of light reading and fun stuff if you’re that way inclined. It certainly helps to pass the time…Thanks for asking.
Good heavens Komata – that’s what you do for fun?
After poor initial reaction (you knew that would happen!) that all sounds very interesting.
Enjoy.
Harvey; thank you; I do (and will).
Komata the title about gold extraction reminds me of reading an article in Time Magazine back in the early 80s (when Time was still a good mag. ). It was about a lady in one of the old gold towns in the Aussie outback. She was married to a drunk, layabout farmer and things were getting financially desperate. So she went to the local library and got a book out about extracting small amounts of gold from large amounts of material–maybe the same one you are reading. She decided she could do something and made a claim on an area which had “mountains” of tailings on it and set to work. Spread some of it all out to area of about a football field. Then with the help of her sons started the process. They got to a stage where the ground went all muddy / gluggy and they thought they had hit the brick wall. So back to the book and she read that at this point the scientist in the lab had the same problem and it was all stuck in a glass flask. So he smashed the flask to do the next step.
One of the sons said to his Mum –don’t worry I’ll go home and get the tractor and the plough !!
It worked and they continued and ended up extracting a bar of gold worth $500K per month for quite a while .
That was back in the day when $500k was worth a heap.
Hope you make your fortune gold hunting.
Had a look in melbourne at a prospecting tours, but they did not suit. I see there is a tour down in Goldern Bay.
Sooty
No such luck, the current RMA regulations stop the ‘little man’ from doing anything. I gave up active involvement several years ago when the fees
‘Just to look’ became impossible to justify, and now concentrate on researching and writing on the history of various Coromandel Peninsula mines, hence the ‘cyanide’ reference…
Ross
While I haven’t read the article, it would seem that the lady hit on a novel way to treat the mine waste ( the ‘Tailings’ you mentioned), which had apparently not been turned-over by others. Good on her for doing so. Thank you.
That attention-seeking moron, Greta Thingy, had thankfully taken backstage to the pandemic. But not to be outdone by a virus, she has announced to the world that she has COVID19. Not that she’s been tested. Dick of the Week.
Saggy
When the money-tap is suddenly turned off and you have ‘Bills’ to pay, it’s amazing how ‘inventive’ people can be.
I would suggest that Gretra’s parents are down to their last $10 million ar so, and that because of that the poor things have got to do SOMETHING to generate more income…
Jumping on the ‘Virus’ bandwagon woulfd make SOOOO much sense.. (Just like Jacinda’s Feelz and Hugs).
Of course she will have it. Stupid bitch had to make up something to be still relevant in this time when climate change is a gone burger. Also interesting to read that it is only men and women dying or have the virus. Both those two stupid afflictions of believing in CC and LBQ RSTUVWXYZ have all gone by the bye.
She should be arrested. She is obviously a carrier and her galavanting around spouting shit has also spread something else.
Editor
A great ‘header’ pic, but I would be somewhat-doubtful about the prominent inclusion of ‘Journalists’ in it; Observation would seem to indicate that, by virtue of their lies, misinformation and deliberate manipulation of facts, such individuals are to a very large degree RESPONSIBLE for what has resulted.
Just saying.
Thanks.
Good point Komata.
Paddy Goober needs a reality check ……stat.
Hopefully, after hassling Bernie in the States he is in isolation somewhere… far away.
PS:
My ex would have included manicurist, hairdresser and florist as essential service providers.
Back to the future.
Somewhere in some old photo’s, which I will hunt through in time, I have a picture of what martial Law looked like in the past. If I find it I will send it to ed.
It is a picture taken in 1951. My dad had a bakery and flour used to be shipped from the south Isalnd to the north on coastal vessels, unloaded one at a time using the ships derricks and loaded onto 5 ton flat deck trucks and then dleivered to the bakery. Now these weren’t your average 10 kg bags of flour that the socks used today, but 156lb or 72 KG jute bags.
The pic I think I have, is of one of those trucks backing up to an elevator to lift the bags to the second storey of the bulding. Sitting on top of those bags are a soldier or soldiers with their guns.
It was of course during the waterfront strike.
When even though he made the bread, he was unable to give bread to mums family, becuase her Dad was a watersider at that time.
Not until this govt. did I ever think we would see martial law imposed on this country.
I guess that shows my naievity, perhaps about what politicians will do.
Now Ardern has a taste for martial law, this wont be the last time.
This was a logical progression from the armed hit squads she set up.
Yup, as predicted it has begun. She won’t let go now.
Didn’t Obergruppenfuhrer Bush look so smug in the press conference? He will be reveling in his newly appointed powers.
Ardern needs myopic ditherers to support her.
Bush fits the bill perfectly.
The rest are amateurs.
There are times when martial-law-like powers can work for the benefit of the country as a whole.
But with great power comes great responsibility, accountability and the need for transparency. Is this government up to the task? We’ll find out.
No I would say that labour will not be the dest outcome for our country going on their performance in the last 2 1/2yrs.
Downright dodgy!
Seems to me the worst thing about this flu is, not how deadly it is, but the rate of spread.
If Wu Hu flu spread cases were presenting like other flu cases, medical services might cope.
It might be a test run to see how fast it spreads, how many it affects and how the worlds governments react. The fuckers that are behind this are enjoying the results so far. Wait for phase two when this one calms down.
I noticed how accurate & predictive was Bill Gates presentation in 2015 of the next war being viral. I also note that he is a Billionaire, Elitist, Billdeberger, Globalist> Is it possible he is part of the establishment of a NWO ? Asking for a friend of course. –
Yes, he is.
I’m an essential service.
I can tell you the office is no joke. Of the few turning up – folk are regularly breaking down in tears and not seeing the day out. Its grim and chaotic.
Working with you would do that to anyone.
The lock down, which you have criticised, is exactly about slowing down its spread.
Hopefully all your co workers will bugger off and leave you to do all the work. That will stop you filling in your day here. 😆
By essential service you must work for the govt.
Ultimate bummer.
Have a nice day MNM
Viking, my pleasure cunt face. Now dont use all the internet band width downloading objectionable image. I’ve gotta work.
Oh nice. I will look further down to see how much of your day you spent here and will book the rest to working.
Family member works for IRD, deemed essential too. Taxes to process to pay for this huge economic mess we’re heading into!
Whatever your “essential” duties are Kea, we stuck at home thank you. Don’t lose your head, remember you told us, “it’s just flu”. 🤒
I clean dunnies. Yes it’s just the flu.
……”folk are regularly breaking down in tears and not seeing the day out”…..
Hang on to your perch old bird!
“I’m an essential service.”
Curious statement. Please elaborate.
Typical bird. Come along, shits all over the place, flies off to do whatever is deemed an essential service to themselves, and leaves us wondering “WTF”?
He’ll be out pestering dem dam jooooooooze somewhere.
Yeah, but would this place be the same without his shitsquawk?

Very simple & effective, no gobbley gook, not scaring, just the mathematical effects, to match to what resources, are available and so is quite helpful, why we are doing this lock-down.
Edit, in moderation, just have new login, just a minor hic-cup; so thanks in advance ED, another essential service 🙂 blog owner, and working from home.
Good Grief..

Them journalists are an essential supply!
If there is some way for the media to combine Climate Change with the Covid-19 virus pandemic, then we will have a winner.
I half expect our darling Greta to proclaim to the world (in a bid revive attention) that she too has the bug.
Bingo. That’s exactly what she is doing: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/breaking_news/article-8147765/Greta-Thunberg-says-coronavirus-isolating-father.html
What’s your Plan B folks if these little exchanges over the ether are closed down?
Why would they be closed down Maggy?
SC.
The internet essential service aspects will take priority. Banks, gubmint, police, Armed services, medical etc.
Blogs and trivial stuff will be stopped in an effort to free up communication lines that are filled with important information and ideas on how not to strangle your family members.
Have you seen the government propaganda ad with the bunch of lefties telling us to take the Covid-19 seriously, behave ourselves and be kind to each other. 🤢🤢🤢
COVID19 mutates and gets passed your computer’s anti-virus
Did you tune into mid-day news RNZ?
The Head of the GPs’ association is calling for rationing of phone and internet data.
(reckons medical centres’ internet slowed considerably yesterday… and as much of their consultation will now be over phone/internet the plebs will have to get off their devices).
I did hear that google’s Utube is going from High Definition to standard.
Just stop those video popups is what I want. 🙂
As more people work and learn from home, concerns about stress being placed on broadband networks continue to grow. And it’s not only impacting video streaming platforms: today, Sony announced that it will slow down PlayStation downloads in Europe in an effort to “preserve internet access for the entire community.” More companies are likely to take similar actions around the world the longer people remain self-quarantined at home.
https://www.theverge.com/2020/3/24/21192384/youtube-video-quality-reduced-hd-broadband-europe-streaming
Yes hearing this rationing talk now, but think it will all adjust.
Rural rationing seems to be happening more so.
What are other countries around the world doing to fight the virus?
Coronavirus latest: Australia imposes drastic measures, India locks down 1.3 billion people
https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/world/2020/03/coronavirus-latest-australia-imposes-drastic-measures-india-locks-down-1-3-billion-people.html
Just heard Hosting talking about Oz. Australia’s measures are far from drastic.
You are right Chuck.
I watched Morrison’s address on Paul Murray’s show last night. They are less drastic (eg. schools still open) but they have this Federal and State system which makes it a little more difficult for them.
If I can find it I will link a copy of the Jones a Credlin show –it had section with an interview with Tony Abbott. Really interesting and Tony Abbott rather carefully said Australia needs to get it’s priorities right and start looking after Australia –look at water storage issues and build a few coal fired power station to get reliable cheap electricity.
But the key reason for having Abbott on was to remind people of a very good speech he made in 2005 when he was Health Minister. He obviously learnt from SARS and developed plans for Australia including bulk storage of medicines etc. In that speech he made a few prophetic, big picture comments which have come to realisation this year. Obviously his plans have been lost in the bureaucratic waste heap in the intervening years.
Here is the link to the show. I hope it works.
I think many Aussies would like to hang Turnbull from the nearest tree after watching this !!

Apologies, maybe a double-up as the first hit moderation, but very worthy of a view.

Edit, Again into Moderation, as I thought it may just be some random comment going into moderation.
So it seems the gliche is to do with my profile? or log in? triggering it.
Any way it is not viral, so no problem as the sun still shines. 🙂 and worse things happen at sea, thinking of those “cruise ship” passengers when ending up in lock-down a while ago.
When you change to a new profile you are automatically deemed a new user. Your first post is under moderation,(and all subsequent ones) until approved by me. You chose to do this change on the first day I have slept in for ages. Suffer the consequence of your actions. I didn’t care, I was away with the fairies.
No problem Ed..
There was no change to my profile, no change of password, and just double checked now, in case I had some how inadvertently altered something.
So still the original.
Just a login as the the expiry of the the other days log in, which was straight forward, with no errors.
Just trying to be helpful, in maybe narrowing down where the gliche or “fairies” may be. 🙂
Still all good, and hope someone appreciated your “Beauty sleep”. 🙂

That little video was interesting but not for the point the Prof was trying to make, in a way. If because of the highly infectious nature of the virus one person can lead to 59,000 people being infected after going through 10 “layers” of people that means there must be millions of people in the UK that have it now. But it is clearly no showing up in symptoms in those people. If you had the same rate of spread with common flu then probably most of those millions would coughing, sneezing and noses running like a hose.
On the other hand it means those that are susceptible have to be that much more careful because they cannot see signs of those that are infected with this virus.
I had my flu shot yesterday. The government should make flu shots free for everyone this year only.
It will not do anything to prevent the virus. However, the less people getting flu reduces the load on health services.
Chuck.
That cheeky little darkie has an interesting background.

I had a look up on the guy two -three weeks ago when I saw he was from Ethiopia.
Nothing from there is clean (Sudan/Ethiopia/Somalia) and people ascend out of tribal/political lines or get crushed.
His Wikipedia profile had a lot more about his political activity weeks ago.
It is now scrubbed.
No surprise.
He will be Bilderberg approved.

NZ in ‘good place’ to fight COVID-19 but ‘constructive scrutiny’ of Government needed – Simon Bridges
https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2020/03/nz-in-good-place-to-fight-covid-19-but-constructive-scrutiny-of-government-needed-simon-bridges.html
Bridges said the committee would put questions to institutions such as the Reserve Bank and Treasury as well as to figures like the Health Minister and the director-general of health, to make sure the country is getting the best possible response to the crisis, both economically and in terms of health.

Coronavirus: Countdown introduces strict measures to keep customers, staff safe during lockdown
https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2020/03/coronavirus-countdown-introduces-strict-measures-to-keep-customers-staff-safe-during-lockdown.html
Depending on the size of the store, there will now be a limit on the number of customers allowed in at any one time. This will allow for appropriate physical distancing within the store.
Every second self-service checkout and every second checkout will be closed to also provide ample room between people. Customers will also have to pack their own groceries to speed up the checkout process and limit the handling of items by staff.
To protect staff and customers from anyone sneezing or coughing, perspex screens will be set up at checkouts from Wednesday.
Finally, wherever possible, customers are asked to use contactless transactions to cut down on the handling of bank cards.
The Kiwiblog pervert must feel like the world is coming to an end. He’s banned from Kiwiblog for 4 weeks and, to make things worse, St Lukes is shut down for 4 weeks. And, whoopsie, St Albans won’t be open for business either! Hopefully his internet service provider has done some forward-planning and imposed filters on searches featuring keywords such as “goats”, “small but ample breasts” and “honeypots”!
Poor sick stephieboy.
God save his gerbils! 🙂

Finance Minister: NZ won’t run out of money amid unprecedented spending on coronavirus relief
https://www.tvnz.co.nz/content/tvnz/onenews/story/2020/03/25/robertson-bf.html?auto=6144423280001
Labour’s rules for responsible spending and how it’s changing them
***
When the Labour government came to power in 2017 it set itself five rules of engagement for handling the country’s money. The Budget Responsibility Rules are self-imposed and do not have any legal standing, so if it decides to break them it will face political flak but no greater consequences. Labour and the Greens campaigned on introducing the rules and the coalition has been true to its word in adhering to them thus far. But the game of politics is known for movable goalposts and finance minister Grant Robertson himself has pointed out that the rules are not set in stone. Not quite two-thirds of the way into its first term it has already begun tinkering with them.
***
That quote is from an article dated 30 May 2019. This is an important point that should be highlighted when, as seems inevitable, Labour says “we had to change the Budget Responsibility Rules” because of the coronavirus pandemic.
This is very well worth watching for an alternative view of the proceedings from Germany:
“So, what do you thing about all these measures”?
“They are grotesque, absurd and very dangerous……….The life expectancy of millions is being shortened.”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBB9bA-gXL4
Alice very good, and gives much thought.
Not a criticism but to bring more information to consider.
The part our info, and it is good that it can be freely spread so widely, to consider and think about.
From March 19 to March 22, 2020, Bhakdi published three videos on his YouTube channel in which he criticized the measures taken worldwide against the COVID-19 pandemic , which he believes are based on a misinterpretation of test results and infection numbers, expresses. [4] [5] [6] According to ZDF.de, his theses are unscientific, his numbers too low. [7] Mimikama writes that justifying environmental factorshave led to the fact that more than 500 deaths in Italy alone are currently dying as a direct after effect of the virus every day, do not correspond to any scientific basis and his reasoning regarding air quality did not stand up to scrutiny. [8th]
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sucharit_Bhakdi
I did use google translate.
Still it is good to think on things, and at this stage, this is where and what the NZ government and the many other countries are doing.
Life is still to be lived and free speech makes some parts of it pleasurable!
So we take our pleasures where we can. 🙂
with no moderation, Thanks Ed, 🙂
Thank you Alice. Great video.
Simpleton1. Of course the guy is going top get criticism. He is going against the consensus. It will make too many look like fools.
We cannot have that happening. /sarc
It is the same as Gateway Pundit got criticised for questioning the WHO head guy’s figures and it now looks like TGP maybe right
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/03/we-were-right-dr-birx-confirms-who-was-way-off-in-their-3-4-mortality-rate-and-it-will-likely-drop-under-1-as-tgp-predicted/
The biggest problem is not the known things, but then there are the interpretations.
It is the “unknowns” to also to be figured in.
It takes time for some of the data to be even collected, then how it is collated, to figure the different factors and what their weighting should be.
So sometimes that can be skewed, by just some simple factor, like smoking, blood type, age, but in this variable petri-dish of ours, takes time to see what can be tested and may stay true & constant, in effect.
One of the opposing points, concerned about the numbers that are presented, showing the variable differences.
https://www.zdf.de/nachrichten/panorama/coronavirus-faktencheck-bhakdi-100.html
I agree with you on the data but it did not stop a few Auckland academics playing with sketchy data and develop models, then proclaim that with the measures the Govt. is taking it could reduce deaths from 60,000 to 10,000. The the PM latches onto the rubbish and scares the masses with the figures.
Not something I like to hear, and further studies yet to totally prove whether this is another transmission form
SARS-CoV-2 RNA was identified on a variety of surfaces in cabins of both symptomatic and asymptomatic infected passengers up to 17 days after cabins were vacated on the Diamond Princess but before disinfection procedures had been conducted (Takuya Yamagishi, National Institute of Infectious Diseases, personal communication, 2020). Although these data cannot be used to determine whether transmission occurred from contaminated surfaces,
further study of fomite transmission of SARS-CoV-2 aboard cruise ships is warranted.
In the middle paragraph of the “Discussion” part, which is just above the Acknowledgements.
https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/69/wr/mm6912e3.htm?s_cid=mm6912e3_w
So it is a serious hygienic business, a wishy washy, soapy, alcoholic, peroxiding bleach, sterilizing etc.. world that will be, for some time.
Now that is not so bad, I can live with that.
Just do not do all those things to sterilize “free speech”! like this blog. 🙂
Send them cruise ships to the scrap yard!
I ain’t travelling on one, ever!
Them journalists are an essential supply!
Wouldn’t it be nice to have some!
You mean someone who reported the facts & what our slimy leaders actually say instead of telling us what to think?
You’d need a Tardis to find them.
Japan will have to postone the Olymics for 1 year, but I suspect that it will end up being for 2.
Amazing that this was printed by the ABC but I note they ensure they give themselves a pat on the back. (they also repeat the WHO 3.4% rubbish figure)
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-03-06/sensationalist-coronavirus-media-coverage-a-bigger-contagion/12029416
Like the corrupt head of the WHO, they will reap the reckoning when it’s over. I fear our neighbours are headed towards a contagion disaster.
Coastguard urges boaties to stay away from water during lockdown
https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2020/03/coastguard-urges-boaties-to-stay-away-from-water-during-lockdown.html
Coastguard chief executive Callum Gillespie says although many may look to self-isolate in nature, such a move could end up putting others at risk.
“Going fishing is many people’s perfect idea of self-isolation, isn’t it? But the question I’d be asking is: will I find myself in a situation where I need to ask others to help me?” Gillespie told Newshub.
He said if a boatie gets into trouble out on the water then volunteers have to leave self-isolation, potentially putting themselves and their families at risk.
“If we’re asked to go out in the water, of course, that means that our volunteers have to leave the safety of their home, they have to get together as a crew,” he said.
Hundreds of Brits stuck in New Zealand urge UK Government to get them home
At least 300 British nationals stuck in New Zealand due to coronavirus have asked for help to return to the United Kingdom before the country closes down.
https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/hundreds-brits-stuck-in-new-zealand-urge-uk-government-get-them-home?auto=6144409768001
Not so sure that I want to be stuck in a tin can, flying around the world, or even a ship.
Could you be sure that it has been hygienically cleaned down enough?
Then the airport terminals, maybe to another plane? toilets, etc…
The risk has increased as now their are more infected people around, who probably are asymptomatic.
If they are young, probably the risk is lower even if infected, so maybe worth the risk. Then the isolation, and shut down in the UK.
I think I heard that 15,000 tourist come here last week,
Not counting kiwis coming home,
I think the whole point is everyone caught in other countries were told to travel home a week or so ago. It is now safer for themselves and everyone else to stay put for the month or so this quarantine lasts. If people keep moving between countries this pandemic is never going to be stopped in its tracks.
I know one of these Brits. The airline kept telling her her booked flight on the 27th was still probable. Clearly that was wrong. She is lucky she has a place to hunker down. Not ideal for her host either, but it is what it is.
It has been a few years since I travelled overseas.
Do they still put stamps in the passport?
The point is a few people (strangers to me) have rang, asking if they can hunker down with me, because of this travel lock-down,
How long have they been in NZ?
I ask when they arrived in New Zealand?
Through what airports they have traveled?
Then I say that I will look at their passport, and get that checked by the police.
But I really want to just look at the information to verify what they tell me.
Has these electronic systems buggered this up?
How do you know they wouldn’t be bringing the virus into your house? Unless you know them well is it worth putting yourself at risk?
I do agree with you waikatogirl and it comes back to the point that many more will just be asymptotic as so much time has gone by, that has increased that risk.
Though could have made an isolation “nest” tent, and long drop and garden hose for water, shower, if needed to get the first 14 days done.
I had a list of questions, like allergies to cats, dogs, wool, milk, cheese, gluten, hair of cattle, methane belching, pollen, dust, cobwebs. cleaning fluids, sugar soap, paints, thinners, etc.. 🙂
Some of that may relate to whether being a bit allergic to a bit of work, not being a slave driver, but just to be helpful.
Did they relate to compulsive cleaning disorders? which would be no good either.
Then questions about their diet, like it was no way I was going to have vegan or vegetarian, not with the steak, lamb chops, roasts, mince, bacon & eggs, etc. my comfort foods 🙂
Sadly no long restful, sunbathing between showers holiday for me.
The deal breaker would be the passport and things not adding up.
No phone call back, so maybe they found an alternative. 🙂
or real truth, did not want to do anything as a slave? even if food and found.
How to while away the empty hours of enforced confinement…..
Duckduck wandered around to the living room balcony and started pecking at the window as she does each morning.
Hubby speculated as to whether she would recognise herself with her adult plumage….
why not find out I thought, .. so brought out a half-length mirror to place against the window… but Duckduck got frightened and waddled off the balcony.
Now our interest was strengthened… so I placed the mirror outside by her water pot and feed bowl.
Duckduck came around but showed no interest….. Hubby immediately recognised the problem…. I’d leant the mirror at the wrong angle for her eye height… so he adjusted it correctly (never underestimate the hidden abilities of an experimental metaphysicist).
Duckduck was transfixed… she pecked and pecked and pecked at the mirror frame and started gabbling away in duck gabble ( not the loud honk when she wants attention) for all of 1 minute.
Now she is back around on the balcony soaking up the sun….
Conclusion: She is not a narcissist.
That is your conclusion Maggy, what does the experimental metaphysicist conclude?
He’s bored with that game…
He’s retreated to his man cave to push back the frontiers of em-communication.
You should have videoed that Maggy and put it on Utube. Duckduck could be a star!
Duckduck has more self awareness than my cat. Unless Mabel is such a narcissist she won’t even acknowledge the ‘other’ cat in the mirror?! 🐱
M W ,Narcissistic NO., Sunday roast YES. LOL.
Oh, perish the thought…
anyway, there’s lots of feral cats and wandering dogs that would end up as hot-pot long before I harm a feather of duckduck..
Which shops and businesses are open or closed during the coronavirus lockdown?
https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/which-shops-and-businesses-open-closed-during-coronavirus-lockdown
OPEN DURING LEVEL 4 LOCKDOWN:
Supermarkets
Pharmacies
Doctors surgeries and medical clinics
Dairies, with “one-in, one-out” rule
Self-service laundries, with 2m physical distancing to be enforced
CLOSED DURING LEVEL 4 LOCKDOWN
Liquor stores (unless within a Licensing Trust Area and with “one-in one-out” rule)
The Warehouse and other “big box” stores
Every restaurant, café and bar
Gyms, cinemas, pools, museums, libraries.
Food delivery prohibited, except meals on wheels and delivery of food not pre-cooked. So no Uber Eats or Deliver Easy, or individual takeaway deliveries.
Bunnings, Placemakers, Mitre 10 and other retailers essential to the supply chain for building and construction can stay open to trade customers for essential purposes only.
Had a call yesterday from one of the biggest chemical importing companies here and in Australia. They are deemed and essential service because they supply the food, medical and agricultural industries with products to keep the country running smoothly.
I had an order from a client for product to treat a mineral deficiency in his cows. Last week I ordered 75 kgs of a trace element that would fix his problem. It is being sent to my factory this week.
Now my problem is how do I get to the factory to accept delivery, and how do I get it to him?
Primary production is essential services… I can’t see why you wouldn’t be able to travel to the factory and drop it off.
Carry some id with you.
Don’t know if anybody’s mentioned this but there is a big shortage of annual flu shots, our 90 year old mother simply can’t get her shot until “possibly later next week “.
WTF is happening, the docs nurse said that this virus thing has slowed supply down considerably, FFS only in a totally cocked up system could drugs that are in the country now be slowed down when it should be sped up.
The system in this country isn’t ready for the coming crap we are about to endure, there are going to be f—k ups after f—kups after f—k ups,the depths of our problems are going to be caused by fucking office boys that don’t know what to do..
No amount of Arderns speeches telling us to be kind is going to get our Ma a fucking flu shot, I bet the arsehole fisherman and number 1 brat have had theirs done,,Bastards.
There is plenty for her age group. Had mine yesterday.
They are telling the general public it’s not available until all the oldies get it first.
Keeping ahead of the need to keep the hospitals free for the chinese coronavirus deludge thats coming makes good sense.
Seems odd. I rang our GP yesterday. They said the vaccine arrived that morning. We had our jab in their carpark that afternoon along with other older patients.
A couple of the large pharmacy chain stores are giving flu jabs, check on line and take your mum today.
This morning the local Health Nurse and her assistant have been driving around to all the seniors (unsolicited) giving out flu shots. I was out but the good lady got hers.
My old parents in their Ryman Village apartment have their names on the list for a nurse to administer the flu vaccine throughout the complex. As they are in lockdown I imagine the nurse will visit each apartment and cottage, etc instead of all the oldies lining up.
I tried to get flu shots for the staff, ringing at end of Feb to arrange a mass jab as previous years.
Told by two medical centres they are not being delivered until 1 April.
The idiot Rev announced MoH were bringing the jab forward but mum (88) can’t get one. Her dr ran out on the first day, which makes me think they only had enough for the staff.
We do live in uncertain times, and none of us have had to deal with a crisis like this before, but the MoH have consistently failed to respond adequately.
You’d think of all the national emergencies a pandemic might be the easiest to plan for in Health terms because there are fewer incalculables.. (With an earthquake or weather event you can’t accurately predict where or what might be affected)
You can say fuck here, you know?
Ed ,took her Friday only to be told they’d run out ,rang again this morning and was told “later next week”.
It’s quite possible her doctor has F—-Ked up ,the nurse said she’d get back to me in ten minutes two and a half hours ago,Fuuuuuuck..
COL fustercluck underway? The whole point is for people to keep their distance from each other. Working remotely is the optimum, not clustered together in call centres.
Location rules out nurse’s bid to join COVID-19 contact tracing team
https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2020/03/location-rules-out-nurse-s-bid-to-join-covid-19-contact-tracing-team.html
Danielle Davies responded – she had just got her nursing practice certificate reactivated urgently, within 12 hours, and contacted the ministry, which asked her last Thursday to start tracing work the next day.
“When I enquired how does work go about, they said that the shift would start in Wellington at 7 in the morning,” Davies said.
“And when I informed them that I’d moved to Christchurch a few years ago, they said that, ‘Oh never mind, we won’t be able to have you be part of the COVID effort’.”
She tried once more to sign up to help, at the weekend, but has not heard back.
The ministry told RNZ in a statement on Monday night why it could not use the nurse: “We welcome more help but at this stage the system we are operating is locked into using ministry phones.
“We are working to resolve this and hope to have a new system in place later this week to enable contact tracing remotely.”
Last night the ministry updated its statement: “We are looking at cloud-based technology as an option and the new system will mean ministry phones do not have be exclusively used, therefore, remote working will be a possibility and the capacity for more contact tracing will improve.”
Lol, dumb arse Aussie thieves! Haven’t they heard, there isn’t a shortage… 🤑
Australia police hunt toilet paper thieves who took over 500 rolls at knifepoint

They are going to sell it and make their fortune!
Then they are going to hideout on a cruise liner!
I wonder if the animals used at the Wuhan Institute of Virology would be noticably different from the animals sold at the nearby wet market?
I mean, if a whole shipment of white rabbits with red eyes and runny noses suddenly turned up at the market where no rabbit like this had ever been seen there before, you would think that someone would remember.
I’ll get back to you on that one Odakyu-sen.
I’ve got some pretty good stuff to share, if you are interested.
Gotta deliver food parcels shortly, so a bit busy for a couple of hours.
I tell you what though, those food saver bag sealers are a god send.
And yes, I am a prepper. Just a mild one.
I don’t have a bunker though.
I don’t have a bunker either, but here in Auckland I am hiding in plain view.
Another wonderful dividend courtesy of Socialism.

Why do the left hate the people they purport to represent, the most?
“Why do the left hate the people they purport to use, the most?”
There. Fixed it for you. 😉
Trump’s enlightened plan to get America working asap will save countless lives and see them race ahead while the rest of the world lapses into mass poverty and social breakdown.
While here in NZ Ardern lags behind doing staged photo shoots and handing out election bribes.
Ardern may be head of the parliamentary Labour Party but she’s not a leader’s arsehole. She wants to appear “kind” so she dithers & everything she does is done in a retrospective sense.
Contrast her actions to date with those of John Key after the first Christchurch earthquake. There’s a yawning gap.
Nasska. I like your last sentence there. It a lovely play on words!
He’s a normie not a doomer.
It’s just the flu. Wu hu flu / commie cough.

(It’s taken me years to convince hubby that NZ is a 3rd world country… but he’s starting to twig)
The guy is a completely irresponsible dickhead.
I have reported him to
nhccselfisolation@health.govt.nz
That is complete dickhead activity.
Fly to NZ, working hard to get here because many countries had stopped flights – incl NZ – so he had to work it to circumvent.
Filming in a restricted area.
Being a wise arse all the way
China has known of this virus for 3 months.
Real awareness outside there has been 5 weeks or so.
China has been less than honest and he came in, appears to have breached the rules as well as decency to others and skites about what a clever bugger he is.
However he wants to tell us that China is waaay ahead on NZ.
Completely wrong focus.
I hope he burns if he has broken the law
I suggest a $5000 dickhead tax for his behaviour.
He has money to burn to fly to NZ from China via Japan to carry out this caper.
more of his crap here with his name
https://www.shine.cn/opinion/2003214803/
I clicked on that to find his name!
It seems pretty clear to me that this is yet another example of CCP propaganda designed to show how effectively the Chinese Communist Party is managing the outbreak of the disease they engineered and released whether by accident, design or just disgusting food hygiene practices.
Cindy is speaking in Parliament
Covid-19: State Of Emergency declared in New Zealand
A nationwide mobile alert will be issued to all New Zealanders between 6-7pm tonight.
The State of Emergency legislation allows it to be in place for seven days and can be extended.
In a state of emergency, authorities will have powers that are not normally available to them, such as the possibility of military patrols.
Bridges has totally stuffed any possible support from me.
Referring to ayotaya rower NZ was the final straw.
At a time when we need to work together as one
.New Zealand is our country .Be proud of it.
But, but, but,
I thought we were “all one fanau,” at least, that’s what the New Zealand Herald told me.
They might well have said, “We are all one fratricidal faction.” It would have made as much sense.
No some people are special!
I have a lot more confidence in Dr Verrall than the current government spokesman. He will not admit a mistake or criticize the government. There should be some random testing, not just those who appear to have symptoms. Also if someone who has had even brief contact with an infected person, they should be tested right away not wait to see if they develop symptoms. Some people are carriers and do not develop symptoms.
“Otago University infectious diseases senior lecturer Dr Ayesha Verrall says drive-thru swabs isn’t enough to build robust data on the actual spread of COVID-19.”
https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2020/03/coronavirus-doctors-warn-of-blind-spot-in-government-s-covid-19-response-plan.html
I do not know all the logistics involved in a lot of testing,
The real question is, what is holding back NZ from increasing the testing?
The test swabs, I think no problem
The amount reagent?
The time for the reagent to show up the result.
The number of laboratories?
The number of technicians?
Some things may be an easy fix.
Other parts may be adding to the bottleneck.
The environmental health & safety precautionary regulations?
The Health & probably many other Departments, ticking boxes but not knowing enough No.8 wire principles to get things done.
So a great warning of unicorn dust, but are the journalists asking the right questions to the right people?
As I noted the other day Australia is getting 500,000 tests by the end of this week which gives results in 15 minutes.
Horse training an essential industry:
https://www.lincolnfarms.co.nz/stories/racing-thrown-a-lifeline-as-training-centres-and-stables-deemed-essential-services/?fbclid=IwAR248jgtcBCOowNNddfh-w2cfhj-N-KsQC9yjFS7enDXRmEQQ9Cs4txyS2U
Confirms that once bought Winnie stays bought.
So the dog racing gets the same exemption as well!
What about pussy Pampers!
As the article says it is for animal welfare reasons –ie. they still go out and feed the horses or dogs. No one will be doing any actual training as racing has stopped for at least 4 weeks.
I wonder if the emergency powers will include banning strike and if so, would left wing government would invoke it to save lives? One example would be those doing the testing who had a one day strike not long ago.
“Covid-19 coronavirus: Fifty new cases, state of emergency declared to police lockdown ”
https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=12319699
Here you go Chuck. Odd that Cindy didn’t mention emergency powers were used in 1951 against the striking unionised waterfront workers. Cindy said in her address today in Parliament that the first time emergency powers have been used since WW2 was after the Christchurch earthquake.
Here is an account of the National government imposing emergency powers to break the waterfront strike, an essential service to NZ.
http://navymuseum.co.nz/royal-new-zealand-navy-and-the-1951-waterfront-strike/
This would change with the election of the National Government in 1949. The legislation that would be used was the Public Safety Conservation Act. Section Two of this act allowed the government to declare a ‘state of emergency’ if industrial unrest threatened power generation, transport, water, fuel or supply of food to the community. These were the so-called ‘essentials of life’.
But that involved the lefties and we cannot have any confirmation of their como attitudes. Must not upset the feelz of the comrades
“The only reasons people can go out is it they need to do a supermarket and/or pharmaceutical run, works for an essential business or do outdoor activities like gardening or going for a walk in their local area.”
To emphasize this new emergency rule, the Herald is bound to carry a story about some low-hanging fruit in one of the wealthier suburbs of Auckland being arrested for violating this decree. The violators will be perfect specimens of the “oppressor” class.
In the meantime, members of other groups (who feature disproportionally poorly in key indicies of wellness) will be left unchallenged. And in time, if they are worse affected by the virus, there will be another outpooring of anger at the “oppressor” class for being responsible for this “tragic state of affairs.”
Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
//
Who can associate this statement of intent with a current organisation?
“To promote good citizenship and self-reliance; to combat communism and socialism; to maintain freedom of contract; to encourage private enterprise; to safeguard individual rights and the privilege of ownership; to oppose interference by the State in business, and State control of industry”.
Founding statement of the national Party.
Long since forgotten.
Why is it that when someone tells me to “be kind” I feel like being anything but?
Comrade! Comrade!
Disobeying the Supreme Leader will see you living in the Gulag existing on beetroot soup for the remainder of the lockdown.
Message ends.
Cindy was just asked her opinion on Hone setting up roadblocks in the North.
Her answer: “It’s important that people have a place where they feel safe”
There you have it.
“Feelz” trumps the Law.
Notice that feelz word. This useless bitch hasn’t got a fucking clue how to do anything.
“It’s important that people have a place where they
feelARE safe”How hard must it be for her staff to correct her all the time. Maybe they have given up?

In return, my wishes for them meeting Mr. COVID is very high.
Or is it LBTQUERTY COVID?
But they are essential workers !! Utter BS.
The guys collecting the trolleys and stacking the super market shelves are much more important.

Great tip from NoCash to keep your car battery in good order:
Don’t forget to run your car idle for 30 mins at least once every two weeks to prevent the battery getting flat. Or go for a 30 min drive, just don’t get caught by the police or army 🙂
A 10 min drive to the supermarket once a week isn’t enough to keep the battery in good shape.
I can foresee towards the end of the lockdown, the AA will be super busy with call outs for flat batteries.
To state the obvious, take the car outside, not in the garage even with the door open.
I know someone who does call outs. If your battery goes flat a 30 minute drive will not charge it. It is better to but a charge off the AA and charge your battery. If you have a good modern car a real cheap charger can cause problems with the computer and sensors.
After a month of this, I’ll be in the garage with the door closed and the engine running
Just as well that big lotto jackpot was held last week. Can you imagine the disobedience in our commudidy if it was up to that level this coming saturday?
Plod would need to be out in force.
Just got my regular ticket online by text message. so easy to do. You can bet the house that the day I miss getting a ticket will be the day these number come in. Have taken the same number since the beginning of lotto, and it doesn’t owe me anything. Still waiting for the big one.
Wouldn’t it be good for lotto to lose money on each game!
Noticed that Lotto counters had closed so bought a ticket on line.
Theory is that fewer tickets might have been sold to increase my chances of winning.
HDP will be interviewing our PTPM just after 5.
She is good unlike her hubby.
Single woman with hand sanitiser would like to meet a single man with toilet rolls for good clean fun.
Well gosh
Its cyclone season.
There were three in 2018 – Gita, Hola and Fehi plus the storm in Auckland on 10 April 2018
.. At least three out of four businesses in the city were unable to function when water, communication or electricity was lost in an April 2018 storm.
On April 10 heavy rain caused flooding, accompanied by winds of up to 140 kilometres per hour, typical of a category 2 tropical cyclone…
Power was out for big chunks for over a week.
10 April 1968 is also known for the Wahine Storm in Wellington where 51 lives were lost.
Perhaps the Govt should have banned storms after 51 lives were lost //
This was part of the Cyclone Giselle that thrashed Auckland on its way down
The next month is a time we are vulnerable to storms and tail end cyclones.
If one does strike will people be able to get repair items like glass, roofing, timber etc to repair things?
I suspect with the massive incompetence at planning let alone communicating the rules should this happen we are in Situation Normal… SNAFU.
I had a phone convo with a lifelong Labour voter (relative, can’t get rid of her) this morning with a young child under 2 state that the communication is very poor.
I did point out that the PM she voted for has a Comms Degree and may have been bedda to have studied sociology or art history.
The CICs (Critters in Charge) are clueless and using thug enforcement to make up the huge gap in their incompetence
It will likely run 6 to 8 weeks.
Modems, phones, laptops etc will be hammered more than usual.
There is no provision to allow these ‘critical services’ to operate because the totalitarians and commies in charge have no connection with the real world.
In this time normal wear and tear of over 1,200,000 washing machines and fridges will cause some to crap out.
Pray to the NIWA god for good weather 🙂 It is about as useful as expecting this lot to handle things smartly in adversidy.
Unfortunately, not much cyclone activity about. We bloody need rain urgently. And the forecast in this respect is grim.
NZ Covid-19 update:
Number dead: 0
Number recovered after a few days: 14
Mortality rate: 0
Survival rate: 100%
But let’s crash the economy.
I always said they need to crash the economy to rebuild it in their own likeness.
Think Pol Pot.
…..”Survival rate: 100%”……
Maybe now but my guess is that the majority of infected to date have been relatively young returned overseas travellers.
Wait until it starts going through the country’s rest homes. We have two granddaughters currently working in aged care & they’re shitting bricks over what’s likely to happen.

U.S., Soros-Funded Ukrainian HIV Charity Under Criminal Probe for Embezzlement
In this latest case, the U.S. and Soros-funded nonprofit helped another Ukrainian group embezzle international assistance, according to a Ukrainian news report that cites a member of parliament. The elected official requested that the country’s National Police launch an investigation, which was officially announced a few days ago. The probe partially targets a controversial civil rights activist named Vitaly Shabunin who operates a scandal-plagued group—also funded by Soros—called Anticorruption Action Center (AntAC).

Everyone had their official Emergency Alert via smartphone?
-Alert: at 11.59 tonight the whole of NZ moves to Covid-19 alert level 4
-This message is for all New Zealanders, we are depending on you.
-Follow the rules, stay at home, act as if you have Covid-19. This will save lives.
-Remember where you stay the night is where you will have to spend the next four weeks.
No. Didn’t get it, not that I care, I will be mostly staying put except to get food and petrol. I might have to go shopping for my parents as they should not be going out. I can’t see why people can’t walk on the beach. Its not like there is a shortage of deserted beaches, or walking trails like the Hunuas. I do think treating us like idiots is going to back fire.
I think the Police Comissioner’s comments of “Covid 19 coronavirus: Don’t drive to the beach during lockdown, police warn” Ref: https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=12319711
could turn public opinion away from the government.
On the other hand, this is an exogenous threat that the police haven’t had a lot of experience with, so it is only natural that a career bureaucrat like the Commissioner will “play it safe” and push for “maximum lockdown.”
Time will tell. Let’s see what happens.
Here’s the camera at Kairioitahi Beach. http://www.kariaotahi.mobi/300Camera.html
Let’s see if people stop going to this beach over the next couple of days and weeks.
Does anyone else have links to “beach cams” like this one?
Where’s that?
About 7 km west of Waiuku (south Auckland) on the West Coast.
It’s the Auckland equivalent of Foxton Beach, I assume.
Lots of bogans on a weekend and rusted car wrecks at the lowtide mark up and down the beach.
No message for me either.
Stupid fools looking to overload the system again, if they believe they can send a message to every cell phone. 🙂
Many other business’s have been putting out updates & advisories about their off line services. plus plenty of emails.
So many it is confusing.

What I’d like to know is what & how our police force intend to stop an army of hoodie wearing young scrotes from wandering the streets looking for something to steal.
Because up until last night they were absolutely tits at the job.
They will have heaps of burgs scoped out bro.
I agree.
My Brother escaping on the Picton Fairy a couple of hours ago had time to reflect and said this.

There are coppies everywhere.

China really are, clever bastards.
I have been thinking about this Committee being setup which Bridges will chair. On the surface it looks like a good idea but I think Bridges is being played like fiddle by Labour. They get him involved but will probably tell Govt. Departments to go slow in providing the information he requests because they do not want him to achieve much (ie. the committee is all for show). But when the virus issue is all over and things haven’t gone quite to plan and Bridges tries to criticise the Govt. during the election campaign Ardern will be able to say –well you were part of the effort so you cannot say much.
If you told me three years ago that a giddy, mule-toothed communist tart would be General Secretary of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet Council of Ao tear rower before Easter 2020 I would have suggested rehab.
I guess that is Easter cancelled by the way.
But the crucifixion is ON.
Now I know how the Russian peasants felt in 1920
Reminisce with this, always good to see what happened again.

If you own more than one cow or horse, you are toast.
It was a minute past midnight,
And all throu’ the house,
Not a creature was stirring,
Not even a mouse
For the Chinese had eaten them,
They supped them gluttonly with sauce,
with the bats from the trees,
Forgetting the lessons
When they all caught the fleas
Which killed them in great numbers
Twas not a great loss
Til they then lived among us
And stray dogs who roamed freely
Ended up in the pot
Now we pay dearly, we weep and we moan
While armed police in the streets
Lock us down in our homes
No one has died yet
Not a corpse to be seen
While a tard lectures from from the ether

UN chief asks G20 for ‘war-time’ plan in crisis
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres sent an open letter, dated Monday, to G20 leaders ahead of their planned teleconference on the coronavirus pandemic.
Guterres urged the leaders to adopt a “war-time” plan “in times of human crisis.” He asked them to remove tariffs so that any nation can smoothly obtain medicine, medical equipment and other essential goods.
With Iran and North Korea apparently in mind, Guterres also encouraged the G20 to waive sanctions on countries to ensure their access to food and essential medical supplies.

Most of those people already have the virus. Thats whats great about this, the elite old people get to die first. Then we take back our countries.
Sorry Wynstone.
You’ll need to wait for President Trumps speech before speculating.
Sunday April the 12th will be the day, from what I have read.
China: Communist Party Members Share Letter Urging Removal of Xi Jinping
The author of the letter, which does not identify him or herself, urges three senior Communist Party officials – Premier Li Keqiang, Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Wang Yang, and Vice President Wang Qishan – to convene a special Politburo meeting to discuss “Xi’s issues
Both RFA and Asia Times linked the letter to increasingly loud discontent among Communist Party leaders over the disappearance of Ren Zhiqiang, a real estate tycoon and formerly one of China’s richest and most powerful people. Ren disappeared last week after publishing an article titled “The Lives of the People Are Ruined By the Virus and a Seriously Sick System” in which he insulted Xi as a clown – without naming him – and described him using the well-known story of the emperor who has no clothes, but all are too afraid to tell him so.

From BN’s link:
……”reports continue to surface of people enduring coronavirus symptoms in Wuhan and greater Hubei province, but now facing hospitals refusing to test them to confirm them as coronavirus cases”…….
If this is true it blows out of the water the theories that China has isolated itself out of trouble.
Only the media believe China.
Its like Cindy not testing people for weeks.
This is the precursor to a coup.
China’s economy tanked a while back. The value of the Yuan has been manipulated.(Stoic pride)
A communist country has no IP. The people have been told not to think, and just do, for many many years.
They are reaping what they have sown.
Xi Jinping has kept China from going to war with the US and Trump vice versa.
N korea quiet, Russia not worried.
The world has been a safer place.
Regardless of the virus.
The media wish the world was at war. Notice the frequency of crises they try to conjure up.
The media are in their death throws.
They are the enemy of the people, literally.
Next target, who owns them.
All essential workers appear to be low paid, minimum wage earners. The least the Government can do is pay them the 585 dollars per week we are all getting on top of whatever else they earn. Fucked if I would die for you assholes and people like me for $600 a week.
I know Bridges has a difficult job. He may strongly criticize the government privately rather than publicly. However, he should tell them if the police will not do their job in removing illegal road blocks he will go public. Alternatively, I understand he has powers to summon anyone. He should give Bush a good grilling.
Bridges should also be calling the PM out on her outlandish claims of possible 10,000 deaths etc. I wrote to him saying just , in much more detail. I did not even get the standard acknowledgement of receiving the email.
The National Party started their time in opposition very strongly but have slowly but surely drifted in effectiveness ever since. I think David Seymour, as a one man band, is much more effective than they are now.
Agreed, I don’t think of Simon Bridges as opposition. Not when he votes for everything Jacinda Ardern does – right or wrong. There is a reason why parliament is 119 to 1 on most votes; with David Seymour the only politician that still stands up for Kiwis. The rest of them are just tonguing Jacinda’s hole.
Just a heads up and I know its getting later in the evening.
I know someone vitally connected to the response to the virus. I trust them well and they are extremely apolitical.
They will never be known in the media but they will do more to save our parents lives, our own generation and young people than a talking pink head in the media will ever do.
If you are like me you will have impressed on your children, your childrens friends and who ever you know, to at least follow what seems to be the right path to eliminating a disease that will eclipse the Spanish Flu eventually. We will all come out of this different people. (Especially the women who rely on beauty parlours)
A real Chinese Virus!

The evidence comes to light.
Terrorism? What ideology are they putting first.
Which country do they put first?
So who is it risking lives? Ardern???
So you want more immigration?
What will be the Australian judge’s sentence?
We all know what Chinese Justice would do!
And a spit sample as per the Chinese woman in my comment immediately above!
Maybe I am wrong but for Bush to open his comments 0n the guilty plea at the presser on Covid , I find out of order. And then the first question from a reporter is on the plea.
