The Metropolitan Police have now charged Russell Brand – who lives in Florida – by post with one count each of rape, indecent assault and oral rape, as well as two counts of sexual assault, relating to four different women, and issued a court summons.

A magnitude 6.9 earthquake hits off Papua New Guinea coast on Saturday morning NZ time, April 5, 2025.
A magnitude 6.9 earthquake has struck off the Papua New Guinea coast, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The quake was at a depth of 49 kilometres, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
The US Tsunami Warning Center has issued a tsunami warning, saying waves reaching 1 to 3 metres above the tide level are possible along some coasts of Papua New Guinea.
It says tsunami waves are forecast to be less than 0.3 metres above the tide level for the coasts of the Solomon Islands.

At present, people who want to build a simple standalone dwelling on their properties need a building consent under the Building Act. In many cases, a resource consent under the Resource Management Act is required as well. These processes are complicated, time-consuming, and costly.
