  1. I guess the silver lining in the incoming clouds is that Jacinda didn’t make Phil Twyford the boss of the Coronavirus task force, Hallelujah.

  2. A big shout out to Jacinda Ardern from those who were on the minimum wage yesterday and are on the dole today.

      • Haven’t been answering the phone for over a week. God help those that need help.
You know the poor that Cindy is always on about.

Hasn’t made any noise about those people this week.

      • I remember being bemused when I saw footage of Ardern speaking to Varsity Students during the last Election campaign.
She kept referring to ‘Our Generation’ and was telling them that as a DJ she wold drop some ‘sick beats in Parliament’ once she was Elected etc etc…
It was like watching an incredibly awkward 40 year-old Aunty trying to appear ‘cool’ at a 21st Birthday Party.
Has this ridiculous woman given up trying to be ‘Youth Adjacent’?

    • No Ms Ardern. The ones that pass it on are those that were allowed for weeks to just arrive off the planes and no quaruantine procedures put in place. That is how the virus got into New Zealand, like when you were in Fiji being the fairy godmother again with our money and like when you then went to Australia and shot your big mouth off at the Australian Prime Minister for sending back to New Zealand people who had been committing crime in Australia. That is when your dropkick cabinet should have been putting in procedures to protect New Zealanders not preparing for the big media hug fest in Christchurch on March 15th. All your lot has done is ruin the economy and set about turning more New Zealanders into criminals. Like you did to the people who legitimately owned guns.

      • I have just read a report that notes Sir David Skegg an eminent epidemiologist has taken the view all arrivals to New Zealand should go into quarantine. He has advised the government accordingly.

The same report contains a statement from the PM that she takes the advice of experts and then goes on to say the PM is taking the view quarantine is not necessary in all cases.

Clear to me the PM does not heed all expert advice; I prefer the opinion of Sir David Skegg to that of the PM on epidemiological matters.

The virus issue in NZ has come in from overseas. The lockdown is intended to stop virus transmission. We are being asked to make that work.

All arrivals from overseas should be going into quarantine at their own cost. I am locked down and have noted cruising Police both yesterday and today while walking in the approved manner. There is little support from me for being subject to lockdown to reduce virus spread while incomers to the country are not required to subject to self funded quarantine.

The PM needs to be more consistent with her statements. Either she heeds the advice of experts or she does not. My view is at present political or ideological aspects may be clouding wise decision making.

  3. My question of the day is when are the state servants (I know how funny is that?) and other paid government paid people going to continue getting their full weekly income? Private sector is pretty much f**ked now and will have to build from the ground up or perhaps not at all, so why has the government not closed down the ministries of the silly things, and there are a lot of them that we would never know the difference if they were operational or not as most of us do not even know they exist????? They should all be receiving the $500+ same as everyone else by now. On another subject…. My huge excitement today is going to collect my groceries. Do I dress up for the occasion I am wondering what is protocol? It has been so long since I went out.

    • Sent a picture yesterday, person I know.
The fact they send the picture of the moment was incredible. No self awareness.
‘Still in isolation’ they said (Not lock down. ISOLATION. A family member in a same household back from overseas about 1 week ago).
They said ‘{relative X} just dropped by to visit’. Picture of them, with little kids, leaning in the open window smiling.

      And these are SMART people.
Yet they are not getting it.
Little kids touch things, even handles of the window or decorative items on the window sill.
I was shocked and pointed out to them in no uncertain terms that visits between households have been clearly and repeatedly ruled out as part of breaking the chain. And in this case, a recent overseas arrival in the home – even more important.
Did the relative drop in on others before or after?

Matamata and the Hereford conference show that this virus spreads very easily without needing to obviously sneeze in faces or cough directly onto a salad.

And consider – close to half the population is by definition below average intelligence.
Aside from the people forming up our Cov-19 policy, I really wonder about fellow kiwis brain power.

      The stupid…..they walk amongst us!

Coronavirus: Vigilante sprays silicone over essential worker’s windscreen
    https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/120732831/coronavirus-vigilante-sprays-silicone-over-essential-workers-windscreen

A Dunedin essential worker found silicon smeared over her windscreen, leaving her unable to work.

That worker, who declined to be named over fears of further retribution, believes a resident may have been concerned she was making unnecessary trips.

After being advised by a glass specialist to use a mineral turpentine, the mess was removed.

    • What does Ardern expect with her caterwauling adhan admonitions,
What do they expect after allowing & collaborating with “essential” iwi blockades.
What do they expect when “stasi” hot lines are set up?

What do they expect after the return of 60,000 overseas students to NZ, and so many of the positive tests are showing overseas connections.
Then extensions to allow them more stay over and more jobs to do?

I think it is a part of people not really trusting this government, that can not even build a 1000 houses, and now allowing people to return with out full on secure quarantine for about 3 weeks,
All the while pointing adhan fingers at us.
Then knee jerking to other costly impositions on every one.

  6. Will the government’s decision not to quarantine returning NZ-passport-holders prove to be a mistake?

“Yesterday expert epidemiologist Sir David Skegg urged the Government to quarantine all arrivals into New Zealand from overseas, saying that the global spread of the Covid-19 pandemic meant there was a progressively higher risk of an arrival carrying the deadly virus.”

    18

    • There is no logical reason not to do this. If it saves us from getting sick then do it. Now she has pointed her bony finger at them and “told them off” can we expect a change in policy. Nah they are her “peeps”

      • I can’t believe I’m saying this but after watching Hone Harawera talking about his road “checkpoints” stopping visitors going north, put Hone in charge of our NZ international borders! Unlike the CoL Hone at least understands if you are not a local you don’t get to cross into NZ territory, and anyone who does enter NZ needs to be in secure quarantine as they are more likely to be infected with CV-19. Just commonsense damn it!

    • I said in my letter to a senior National MP that Bridges was going to be played like fiddle with this Committee –there was no way the Govt. would let it have any wins, it is all for show. I think Ardern’s decision on Sir David Skeggs’ absolutely sensible idea starts to prove me right. ( BTW another letter with no response to go along with the one to Bridges)

So much for “we have the strongest measures being taken in the world “. Australia are miles ahead of us , for a start.
When there is an outbreak that is traced back to a recent arrival Ardern will have to wear it ( that assumes we hear about the result of the trace )

    • One one hand, they reassure us the volumes oif returnees are low. Like 300-400 a day….but at the same time, we only tested 900 people nationally at a low point in late March, and there was and still is capacity to test every arrival with a swab.
The people running this are unbelievable.

Swab, quarantine, and send on their way after they pass two separate Cov-19 tests.
      Stop importing the bloody virus!
The new arrivals shop with the rest of us, and join households/.
If really deadly like they claim, then arent they sending some people home to potentially to infect others?

The border controls, and the testing parameters, have been two points of failure.

  8. Has the NZ health system with this government have the ability to buy right?
“The dodgy material is coming via air cargo because there is a backlog of sea freight at Australian ports.”

The official stressed that not all Chinese products were considered faulty, and other imports of PPE from China were still passing Australian regulations. ……

………….. Thousands of testing kits and medical masks are below standard or defective, according to authorities in Spain, Turkey and the Netherlands.

The Dutch health ministry announced it had recalled 600,000 face masks on March 28. ……

…… Dutch officials said the masks did not fit and their filters did not work as intended, even though they had a quality certificate.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying has rejected suggestions the country’s exports were faulty. ……..

Well I hope NZ can punch above its weight and get the right gear
Can you trust our officials to get this consistently right.? as there is a bridge, and a rail-set in Wuhan for sale for afterwards too.

    Ardern’s adhan for increased testing,,,
Up to 80 percent of the 150,000 portable, quick coronavirus test kits China delivered to the Czech Republic earlier this month were faulty, according to local Czech news site Expats.cz.
The tests can produce a result in 10 or 15 minutes but are usually less accurate than other tests.
Because of the high error rate, the country will continue to rely on conventional laboratory tests, of which they perform about 900 a day. …….

……. [Spain] found that the rapid coronavirus test kits it purchased from Chinese company Bioeasy only correctly identified 30 percent of virus cases, according to Spanish newspaper El Pais. ….

I dare to hope that officials have got it right for NZ, as getting it wrong as they point out to us, will effect us more than not even getting another 1000 houses. 🙁

Similarly OMV ( the Austrian company doing O&G exploration at sea over the summer) said they had stopped their program because it was not considered an essential job. I was told yesterday the real reason was they had blown their budget and had no more money to continue.

  12. The Reserve Bank (RBNZ) is restricting all locally-incorporated banks from paying dividends on ordinary shares until “the economic outlook has sufficiently recovered”.

Banks won’t be able to redeem non-CET1 capital instruments (typically long-dated subordinated debt such as bonds and capital notes) either.

The restrictions take effect today, April 2, and will be in place “until further notice”.

“This initiative further supports the stability of the financial system by maintaining higher levels of capital during the period of falling economic activity resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic,” RBNZ Deputy Governor and General Manager for Financial Stability Geoff Bascand said.

The RBNZ made the announcement as it offered banks further support to help them continue lending to businesses.

It’s offering them loans with three-year terms, to help them offer businesses loans through the Government’s Business Finance Guarantee Scheme.

The Government has committed to underwriting 80% of certain business loans to encourage banks to lend to businesses at a time they might otherwise have deemed this too risky. This means in the event of a default; taxpayers will bear 80% of the loss.

Have the media executives finally got the message that their jobs are heading down the tubes if they do not bring back some balance and revelance–after all if The Listener , for example, can disappear what is next? Mediaworks has already asked for acceptance of voluntary pay cuts, I believe.

    • Ross, it’s worse than that.
When the writing on the wall doesn’t match the writing on the newsprint somethings going to give.
Budgets were heavily slashed and consolidation hasn’t worked.
You can only print deception and opinion pieces for so long.
As soon as moderators decided the socialist narrative was being threatened, they shut it down, so only sycophants and physco-babbling imbeciles could spill their regurgitated bollocks.

Seriously though, if the msm have worked out it is going to take being an ‘Ardern toady’ to maintain their industry it is time they turned on her! Some will but most will ensure their jobs are safe for as long as possible by pumping out CoL propaganda.

Animals never contract mange from other animals. Right??? and Muhammad the most perfect man is always right in what he knows.

Some interesting quotes from the koran, and supporting hadith.

One must trust allah for his decisions, as he knows what is right.
So then when they with-stand the test, then you will receive great rewards with the houris. Yeah right.

An adhan about halal to continue, under an exemption?, that Ardern will adhan about?
Will attendance of mosques continue? or exemptions?
    Ramadan 2020 starts 23rd April.
So can a muslim remain a moderate, loyal faithful, pious, and following all his duties? in these troubling times?

  23. I see a NZH headline saying yesterday had 89 new cases –highest daily tally yet.

If you increase daily testing levels , of course you are going to find more positives but it does not mean the infection level in the community is any higher.

    8

    0

    • For this information to be in context, they need to disclose how many tests were performed.
      For example.
      – Monday. Make 1,000 tests and find 30 positives (3% rate).
      – Thursday. Make 10,000 tests and find 250 positives (2.5% rate). “Oh my God! A massive jump in the number of cases!” screams the Herald (No. Not at all. Actually going down, from 3% to 2.5%)

They are going to have a heap of tourist all going to Ak by any means available to leave, that they have to account for and may take the next month, because their will be like 100 planes to get them out!

It’s the idiocy of letting all & sundry enter NZ at will that’s going to keep us in lockdown until spring!

      7

      0

      • Yes, the first line of defence.
Seal the border, to a full on 3 week secure quarantine! and health checks every day.
Then in that last week, do some testing.

The shear number of CCP virus positive tests that come back as overseas related seems to be totally ignored by the health officials that only want to follow their controlling criminal death dealing bankrupting ideology.

Dr Bloomfield said 51 percent of cases still have a strong link to travel and 31 percent are links to confirmed cases.

Only 1 percent are being classed as community transmission, but 17 percent are still being contact traced.

Then the links to “confirmed cases” will go back to connections back to the “travel cases” and in this I feel is being fudged around.
So why is this situation not being prioritized from way back, to any time to today.

Put Hone Harawira onto border control at our overseas entry points. 🙁 as I would think he would have more nouse about this than officialdom.
While we still have the time, though I fear time may have already have swallowed us.

    • Tens of thousands of stranded tourists will be helped out of New Zealand despite coronavirus lockdown
      https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2020/04/tens-of-thousands-of-stranded-tourists-to-be-removed-from-new-zealand-despite-coronavirus-lockdown.html

Deputy Prime Minister Winston Peters announced on Thursday foreign nationals travelling home will now be considered as undergoing essential travel, meaning they can move through New Zealand on their way out.

Peters says the freedom to travel across the country only applies to foreign nationals who have an exit plan.

“If you do not have a confirmed international ticket, then you must stay in self-isolation. Stay put and continue to follow Alert Level 4 guidelines and maintain your bubble.”

On top of this, foreign governments will be allowed to charter flights to rescue their citizens – if the flights meet New Zealand’s health and safety requirements.

The Government will also look into how to rescue Kiwis currently stuck overseas.

      5

      0

  26. Given your current circumstances, how long of a “lockdown” can you endure?
I think if the government (while not quarantining arrivals into the country and only carrying out limited testing) cites “a significant increase in cases” as a reason for extending the lockdown, then their credibility will be damaged. If the government were quarantining all incomers from overseas, and were carrying out testing at the level that South Korea is testing, then I would be more sympathetic to calls for an extention of the lockdown. (I hope it doesn’t come to that.)

    5

    0

    • That’s about the way I see it. If we’re still accepting the brain dead “citizens by birth” without quarantine two weeks after the lockdown should have been in place then 4.5 million citizens (or thereabouts) have each forfeited seven days of their lives for fuck nothing.

We owe the late arrivals zilch. Lock the gates!

  29. Home early. Mrs Floyd has the fire on, nice.

Took one for the team today. We already agreed as a whole to reduce to 4 day working week to help try and save the company. We agreed that it was best to share the pain together rather than one or two take the whole hit.

Hospitality, big supplier. We have hand sanitiser coming next week, that will help. We have sold approx. 12000 x 500ml bottles ahead of delivery.

Yesterday we whacked 60k of orders out the door. 1st of the month and all that. About half to a third of a normal 1st of month. Today we were on 4K at 3pm so I pulled the pin on myself rather than send the storeman home early.
His wife has already been made redundant and I can see the anxiety in his eyes. When I told him this morning that we would probably have an early finish he looked like I’d just got up off his mother and kicked him in the shorts.

Mrs Floyd and I can cope for a fair while without work I’m fortunate enough to be able to say.

But how many others can say that?

I’m sure you have all either been directly affected financially already or heard stories of others who have. This is the reality we are in.

But what the new reality that MAY be coming brings, cash will no longer be king.

Maybe then, finally, the people will turn the tv off, switch off the I-Pad and the I-Phone, and open their fucking eyes.

  30. So….A lone wolf terrorist attack with a train.
Pretty desperate stuff from the crime cartels.
I wonder why they are so desperate?

Locomotive Engineer Derailed Train to Wreck Navy Hospital Ship Mercy Over Coronavirus Suspicions, Feds Say

Eduardo Moreno, 44, of San Pedro was charged with one count under a little known federal statute of train wrecking, which carries a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in the incident which took place Tuesday, according to the 10-page criminal complaint unsealed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles.

Moreno, who waived his right to speak to an attorney before being interviewed by investigators, admitted in two post-arrest interviews, that he intentionally ran the train off the track because wanted to bring attention to the government’s activities regarding COVID-19, and was suspicious of the U.S.N.S. Mercy.

  31. I think this is a shakedown.
The world is in for a reset.
    COVID 19 is the tool.

People in many countries are confined to Home D and shops and services suspended.
Normal rule of law is suspended.
Previous democracies have Martial law/ state of emergency.
Police and armies are patrolling the streets.
Armies are meant to protect us!
Now they will be used to oppress us (the smart US constitution does not allow this but they have the National Guard and a host of other militarised services incl the Coast Guard. )
Cops in many western countries had already given up protecting citizens from real criminals -most notably UK and NZ.
In NZ we have had a Govt for the last 2.5 years that wants to release criminals out to the streets and COVID can provide that excuse.

This is more draconian than any wartime measures.
Japanese in USA in the early 1940s were interned.
Now in NZ ‘We the People’ all are.
    think about it.

The controllers may have brought things forward as the left/puppets are getting squeezed out or not let in.
-Merkel The East German Dictator goes soon
-They realise they cannot defeat Trump in a fair fight in November
-Last year Australia was supposed to go to left wing crazy (like Ardern) Bill Shorten
-UK was supposed to go to cray cray commie Corbyn but Johnson held on after Treason May was a weak EU/UN puppet
(See a pattern here; people in power are people Fruity Farrar hates; he is the type of chinless backroom bastard who manipulate things )
-Soft cocks like Trudeau and Macron are in power but Macron is under pressure after more than a year of Yellow Vest riots and resistance.
-Britain actually leaving the EU could be a catalyst for its fall – and globalism – as Germany will be the only long term net payer and the goodies and handouts will get less while the regulation will increase.

‘They’ rushed this in to crash the world economy
It is not a Health crisis.
It is a political event as much as the 1917 Russian revolution but on a world wide scale.

In 3 months 45,000 people are dead around the whole world.
    wa wa wa
We know these are also being deliberately stacked.
Eg in NZ the one alleged death was a coincidence with other events. A large number of the Italian deaths are people (perhaps) dying WITH COVID anti bodies but not because of it.
With the limited testing there no knowledge of how many people are infected with this virus.
It is not that lethal anyhow.

    This is a huge over-reaction.
In three months car accidents there is 350,000 people killed plus 4 times that severely injured.
No-one got that excited expect maybe California Crazy’s like Genter but sensible people ignore her.
In that 3 month time about 150,000+ died from malaria plus many millions more suffering the effects of malaria. Crickets.

    It’s a shakedown
As the parrot said weeks ago- plus others here – it is an over-reaction.
    We are in lockdown indefinitely.
Infected people are allowed into the country so it is not intended to stop ‘perceived problem’.
The whole financial system is facing a reset.

In 4 weeks when there is no advance on ‘the problem’ and ‘infected people’ will still not be known we have not moved one step forward but are used to internment.
The bug is comparable to swine flu and 19 people died in NZ in 2009.
That was so low on the radar I did not even know that until the last month.

In 4 weeks – personal tracking will start and people will still be unemployed.
Personal and govt debt will be through the roof.
Banks will have accumulated debt that makes them insolvent.
They will be lending to unemployed and insolvent people to queue up to buy bread but not 21st century items.

This is a controlled event using a released virus.
Ardern can tell people she is the ‘only source’ but that is probably another of her many lies.
She is an airhead like Obama. She does not have a clue.

    Do not cower.
    So who is behind this?
    Who are ‘they’
Names like Soros; Gates; Obama, Bezos arise.
    Bilderbergers.
Who do you think is running this folks?

You can include the Rothschild family. At or near the top.

The only counterpoint I would put up is against your statement on the US constitution protecting their citizens from acts of tyranny. I believe that this is the exact reason FEMA was formed. To circumvent both the constitution AND the president. Once enabled, all bets are off. The Don would be a mere observer.

Watch for as we get closer to the end of the 4 weeks here, the hysteria will be ratcheted up to maximum as they try to increase the fear, and hence their control.

  37. We are all bound by a feeling deep inside,
A feeling that cannot be publicly expressed
for fear of ridicule, a feeling that challenges
the mainstream (narrative), against that which
we are told to accept and dare not question,
put simply, that people are being abused by those
in power and time is running out.

For far too long we have been silent and allowed our
bands of strength, that we once formed to defend
    freedom and liberty, to deteriorate.
    We became divided.
    We became weak.
We elected traitors to govern us.
We allowed evil to prey on us.
Those who claimed to represent us, gave us false hope,
    made false promises.
The evil and corruption only grew.

This is more than party politics.
This is about restoring our country.
This is about saving our land and our people from those
    who wish us harm.
This is about protecting our families, our loved ones,
    our friends.

    >Decide for yourself (be free from outside opinion).
    >Decide for yourself (be objective in your conclusions).
    >Decide for yourself (be true in your own beliefs).
    >Decide for yourself (be open to following the facts).
    >Decide for yourself (be strong in defending your beliefs).
    >Decide for yourself (be resistant to blindly accepting fact-less statements).
    Those who attack you.
    Those who mock you.
    Those who cull you.
    Those who control you.
    Those who label you.
    Do they represent you?
Or, do they represent themselves (in some form)?
    Mental Enslavement.

    We must rise.
    We must unite.
    We must fight.
    For our country.

    7

    0

    • Yes, we are bound by a feeling.

Yes we stayed silent for too long, and became divided.

This is about more than our land and our country. The threats are not only external but lie within. This is about our most basic of rights, freedom. It is this they wish to take from us.

The mental enslavement is already well evolved. Coupled to enslavement to debt.

The enslavement to debt began centuries ago and was hastened by the invention of promissory notes against real gold. Thus, banking as we now know it spawned. Promissory notes were given as acknowledgement of your gold, that the issuer held on your behalf in a safe. Not many people had safes. It soon became apparent that you could give out more notes than the gold you held, which gave rise to debt owed against nothing at all. Just as today the bank operates under fractional reserve practices, they do NOT have the money, it is numbers on a screen. The real wealth is sucked out of us by the way of interest. It is an incredibly simple, highly effective, and very clever scam.

      Anyway, that’s old news.

The problem, Bn, as I alluded to the other night, is the complete lack of organisation around the resistance.

I think honestly, that it’s too late. I do not have faith in everyday people to rise up.

Where is the organised resistance going to come from?

But all that aside, I’m in.

Coronavirus: Doctors running out of swab tests, told there are no more available
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2020/04/coronavirus-doctors-running-out-of-swab-tests-told-there-are-no-more-available.html

The revelation comes as the Government has been pushing doctors to carry out more tests in an effort to combat the coronavirus crisis in New Zealand.

Dr Herman Van Kradenburg’s staff at Waikanae Health are frontline responders in this pandemic – but they’re lacking the tools for the fight.

  40. Government’s COVID-19 wage subsidy scheme claimed by 15 percent of the population
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2020/04/government-s-covid-19-wage-subsidy-scheme-claimed-by-15-percent-of-the-population.html

The Government’s wage subsidy scheme has so far been claimed by 15 percent of the population, and the Prime Minister says new applications continue to be processed.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said on Thursday the wage subsidy scheme has seen $4.5 billion paid out since it was announced earlier this month, helping just over 750,000 New Zealanders, 115,000 of whom were self-employed.

“To shine a light on the current daily scale, there were 13,000 new applications since yesterday and they continue to be processed in earnest by [Ministry of Social Development] staff,” Ardern said at her daily COVID-19 press conference.

    • “Government’s COVID-19 wage subsidy scheme claimed by 15 percent of the population.”

      Free money?
Here come death duties and a 25% GST to pay for all this. (And that’s just the opening round.)

Auckland kava drinking groups continue to meet despite lockdown
    https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/auckland-kava-drinking-groups-continue-meet-despite-lockdown?auto=6146473794001

It’s estimated there are more than 100 kava groups in Auckland alone where sharing of cups and food is commonplace.

Kava group get-togethers in South Auckland have been broadcast live on Facebook over the past week.

Kava Club meets have been cancelled for now but some members are continuing to mingle in private homes and even on church grounds.

    • The police should charge these groups to the full extent of the law.
(Is there an actual law they are violating?)

God is not really everywhere as per his PhD bible studies so he went out looking for him/her/it !

Nasska was not spotted anywhere near the place 🙂

I think I will write to the Oxford Dictionary people to ask to give us a new word to describe Herr Doktor Clark.
Useless does not even begin to cut it.

i guess the media are doing a little bit of ‘French Resistance.’ against the Fourth Reich to publish this.

there is a stupid quote at the end

“A Nelson emergency department doctor, Tom Jerram, on Thursday said people should not mountain bike, even on easy trails, during the lockdown as they may injure themselves and take up hospital resources.”

      What a sack of cobblers.
There is virtually no-one in the hospitals as anything but emergency has been cancelled (adding to earlier deaths ) and less than 25 people people with the Chinese cold in hospital for 220 hospitals.

      It’s a WW Reset.

      • John Key would have stood his health minister down. Clarke would have been gone by lunchtime but Cindy will ignore the whole incident. She will dismiss it as unimportant to her that he has showed her up for the biggest hypocrite to date – Clarke’s the Minister of Health in charge of a nationwide pandemic and he goes mountain biking, against the guidelines of his own ministry. Sack him!

        • I am a nark. This went to the police.

Please describe what happened. Everything you tell us helps.
The article in the link below explains everything. I hope the police issue the hypocrite an official warning and make that public to show they are independent for this government. I have heard of numerous cases of people especially those over 70 who have been harassed by the police. If no action is taken I will be forwarding this complaint and the response is any to the Epidemic Response Committee chaired by Simon Bridges.

          • Chuck ,the bastard should get the boot but he won’t because there is no one of sufficient intellect to take his place in that shambles of a COL.
I have tried to give them a fair go but it seems nothing has changed they were useless before this virus crisis and they are still useless now.
Those 120 bludging ARSEHOLES are on F- – – – G holiday at the moment,Peters has skulked away to his batch in the far north and left the population to “go F —K yourself “, utter contempt is what they deserve all of them.
Now after venting my spleen I’m going back to bed.

  42. I’m completely amazed, yet at the same time completely unsurprised, at how FAST companies and sports teams are capitulating. A couple of weeks, and it’s see ya later alligator!

No rainy day fund? No reserves? These organisations were been run on debt! It only took a few days without income for them to roll over and go tits up.

    Let the strong survive.

    • I agree. Just wait until the bigger media companies start falling. This lack of advertising revenue will affect them all. Time for a clean out. I wonder which of them will be going cap in hand to the taxpayer for a bailout. Cindy and co will need to think long and hard about this.

    • The long term prospects are poor.
Their money is derived from sponsors and many if not most sponsors will not be in a position for a long time – if ever again- to fork out.
Eg Air NZ has gone past being on its knees.
It is hopping about on bloody stumps.

There is or was an Air NZ cup for rugby at some stage. I don’t follow so not aware of details.
That will not do a rebirth.

Rugby will be back to mid 1990s style.
I understand Auckland Blues finally started to win some games. Is this a conspiracy?

The other thing is – will Sky TV survive.
In 6 months their share price has plunged from a Buck 10 to 26c.
The market says > probably not.
They only just took over the Spark TV streaming service.

Tough times all round in this firesale.

  43. Is the govt tracking Tinder to see if people are sneaking out for encounters?

Will Ardern answer a straight question if she was asked this?
    Ok. Rhetorical.
    You know the answer !

  44. Today, my place of work was cleared of the presence of Covid-19.
A worker in my particular department complained of a sore throat, mild fever etc. on Tuesday.
8 people were identified as being in his presence.
Those 8 had to go home and break the news to their family and loved ones.
I escaped the scare because I have been nursing a bone infection and decided to extend the time off by a week to use up some of my Xmas holiday leave from last year.
The guy who thought he was sick, is a drama queen.
I warned everybody when he was initially employed, that he was dangerous.

  45. This is extremely worrying actually, just when this country needed good strong leadership this COL is about to turn this virus response into a Clusterfuck that will make Kiwibuild look like a resounding success.
Just heard a nurse on the radio saying that they are being discouraged from wearing masks as there is a looming shortage and as I reported last week there is simply no flu shots available in this country, the response from the COL “we should have some arriving next week”.
This is exactly what they were saying 10 days ago when we tried to get our elderly mother vaccinated, but hey. “BE KIND TO EACH OTHER”. FFS.
