  1. I bet David Clark is feeling a weee bit sheepish right now. Heh.

Liarbour. The gift that just keeps on giving.

      • Simon Bridges just landed a beaut sledge on Clark. Something to the effect: “I’m not so worried about him breaking their own self-isolation rules, the real crime is why, in the middle of the biggest health crisis, isn’t the health minister at his desk”?

      • Saggy , probably going to use one of his minions as a fall guy ,”it wasn’t David it was me using his van” Ardern will have 8 or 10 fall persons lined up to cover her f—k ups as well, its just what labour does.

      • Perfectly reasonable thing to do, no danger to anyone, and besides as health minister he is probably well aware that it is all bullshit anyway. But why was he not at work “coping” with the crisis?

    • I am reporting this person who broke the rules to the Police ‘dob in’ hotline this morning.
I encourage all equally concerned persons to do the same..

      • Did so yesterday. I would love to see how many have dobbed in him. I hate the idea of a dob in site. I think it smacks of Nazi Germany. But in this case, I just loved doing my civic duty. Now we just need to dob Jacinda in for being an incompetent, lying twat.

Will look for that interview, and see if more can be made of that.

        • Next question for David Semour. Could the minister of the dob in Line pleae advise of of the number of complaints re the minioster of health breaking the rules.?

Maybe it would be an OIA request. anything to embarras the prick.

    • The useless David Clarke, very busy minister of health in charge of the worst pandemic NZ has ever suffered // should be ‘gone by lunchtime’ but socialist “be kind” Cindy won’t even have him in to explain himself. Hypocrisy much. They are incompetent, can’t run their own lives, how the hell are they qualified to run ours?

      • Coronavirus: ‘Every social interaction is a chance for the virus to spread,’ doctor warns
        https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/health/coronavirus/120728455/coronavirus-every-social-interaction-is-a-chance-for-the-virus-to-spread-doctor-warns

I also now work in intensive care. I’ve provided medical cover at Nelson Mountain Bike Club events for the last seven years.

How we comply with this lockdown is crucial. Unchecked, this virus doubles in the community every three to four days. That means worst case scenario with no lockdown, from 20 cases in the Nelson region, we would have 10,240 cases in four weeks.

        1. You may hurt yourself, despite riding within your ability. As a mediocre mountainbiker with three sets of broken ribs, two broken hands, a concussion, and untold cuts and bruises in the last 10 years in Nelson, I am only too aware of this.

I always thought I was riding “within my ability”, we all do. If you hurt yourself, you break your social bubble, and expose yourself and others to danger.

Even coming to the Medical and Injury Centre or Emergency Department puts you and others at risk, and a rescue or ambulance is worse.

      • “the worst pandemic NZ has ever suffered ..”

Well that’s what Jacinda says to keep us under control.
But any student of History will tell you that the 1918 Spanish Flu killed 8000 New Zealanders in three months…

        20

        0

        • Any student of history will also tell her (as former President of the International Union of Socialist Youth) that socialism killed 100 million during the 20th Century.

        • That 1918/1919 number is based on a population less than one third of today.

Around the world the military were hit hard as was the case in NZ.
They were often either on long train journeys, boat journeys, or confined to barracks.
Today, we the people, are confined to barracks.
          Go figure.

Her only default position is to lie. Every day is just getting worse for bobble head. Way out of her depth.

  2. What is it about insane socialists and the way they wave their arms like Hitler when speaking in public?

Great clip of Green New Deal nutter (and Bernie stand-in) AOC ranting alongside an archive snippet of Hitler – the similarity in speech mannerisms is really creepy. (Twatter have decided it’s “dangerous content” so you have to click “View” to view the clip)

I’ve been saying for a while now that the progressives are just about identical to the early days of the National Socialists (Nazis) in 1920s/30s Germany.

I’m sure there is another insane commie chick in NZ who waves her arms around uncontrollably when talking – I just can’t think who at the moment.

  4. Not an existential crisis after all then?

It’s being reported that every Environment Ministry staffers favourite waste of taxpayers money – the UN’s COP26 Climate Alarmism Groupthink in Glasgow this year has been cancelled due to the impact of it’s successor cult (The Sniffles).

So for 5 years it’s been the biggest threat to humanity and we have to save the planet etc – and now the attitude is “She’ll be right for another year” – I guess it was all a great steaming pile of bullshit to get more funding for the UN for their globalist agenda.

And – as I’ve had much time on my hands of late – I’ve been thinking. If we can use tax to reduce the number of molecules of CO2, why don’t we do the same with Covid19? I believe it’s a genius move and one that would allow us all to get back to work – why don’t we just:
    – blame all the farmers and car drivers
    – dress up in weird costumes and paint our faces white, and
    – demand everyone in the developed world goes back to the Stoneage
    to cure Chinese virus?

Please feel to start sending me your money now – I’m happy to collect it on behalf of the UN while they get with the programme?

        • Speaking of scams, the fact than a significant number of elderly in Japan are cash-rich and exceptionally gullible means that NHK TV (the BBC’s honest and hard-working cousin) has to regularly run pantomine-like programs aimed at granny and granpa to remind these old dears not to give out their bank cards and ID numbers when a nice man claiming to be from the bank calls around to collect them.

The latest scam is to have someone claiming to be from the water department call up and say that corona virus has been detected in the water mains, and that a fee has been levied to have the bug removed. These scum target elderly who do not live with their younger family members, because the perps know that the elderly can be very trusting and easily conned.

I can’t imagine such a scam working in NZ (although there have been cases of foolish women being conned into sending money off to their imaginary Latin lovers.)

  5. Run on Coronavirus ‘Bonus’ Crashes Italian Social Security Website

The Italian government has offered 600 euros of “emergency income” to self-employed workers with an annual income below €35,000, which was to become available Wednesday by filing an application on the nation’s social security website. A rumor went viral on social media, however, that the funds would be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and the concentrated volume of traffic overwhelmed the system.

Between the hours of 1:00am and 8:30am, over 300,000 applications were successfully filed, but then new requests began appearing at a rate of 300 per second, flooding the system.

If she had closed the borders stopped all the Nzers who chose to stay where they were and waited to be enticed to return home. forced them in to isolation etc etc there would be no need for any of this bale out package. The numbers of community affected is minimal the numbers of those who have been infected by people returning or tourists to NZ is huge.

  7. German Infectologist Decimates COVID-19 Doomsday Cult In Open Letter To Merkel

As Emeritus of the Johannes-Gutenberg-University in Mainz and longtime director of the Institute for Medical Microbiology, I feel obliged to critically question the far-reaching restrictions on public life that we are currently taking on ourselves in order to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

It is expressly not my intention to play down the dangers of the virus or to spread a political message. However, I feel it is my duty to make a scientific contribution to putting the current data and facts into perspective – and, in addition, to ask questions that are in danger of being lost in the heated debate.

  8. Oil prices set to rise after Donald Trump cuts deal with Russia, Saudi Arabia

The deal will send crude prices up by 45 percent.

    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/world/2020/04/oil-prices-set-to-rise-after-donald-trump-cuts-deal-with-russia-saudi-arabia.html

US President Donald Trump says he has brokered a deal with top oil producers Russia and Saudi Arabia to cut output and arrest an oil price rout amid a global coronavirus pandemic, sending crude prices up by 45 percent.

Trump says he spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and now expects the two nations to cut output by 10 million barrels per day (bpd) – an unprecedented number representing 10 percent of global supply.

    • It’s working. Brent and the WTI for crude have jumped significantly from yesterday. Maybe that’s why the Dow is up. (Who knows.) On the other hand, with over 6 million Americans applying for welfare relief after losing their jobs, there must be a lot potential defaulting just over the horizon.

  9. This is how kind our government really is. A family we know are going through the sad end of life of a cherished father/grandfather from cancer. They (and numerous other families in this situation) have just been told that they are not allowed to stay for more than 15minutes when visiting and must stand at the foot of the bed with no contact. The patient is very hard of hearing so not sure how they are expected to communicate to him. This when the poor man has literally a few days to live. The medical staff are aghast at this new directive but sadly have to comply. The family are beyond distraught. Is this an example of the “be kind” Ardern preaches? If so I’d hate to see what it looks like when she shows us what a nasty, vacuous wretch she really is.

    • At the same time as Adhan adhans New Zealanders,

She seems to never go for the option of
      Full Secured Quarantine Option
for 3 weeks health monitored and tests run in the last week,
      for all overseas travelers.
whether from flights or cruise ships that “one can see from the window”.

Make that point to the police if pulled over.
Make that point when in a shopping queue.
Make that point to any Doctor or nurse.

Are they sure that Arden’s adhan is doing everything, saving New Zealand?

Can not one see that this total lock-down being inflicted at an horrendous cost on people & economy, which has consequences, still affects people, losing jobs, losing industries, placing many in debt & poverty as the minister of Poverty wants to redistribute this to every one.

A poverty of test systems, the problem said to be and adhan distribution.
A poverty of PPE, and again another adhan distribution issue.
A poverty of flue vaccine, while the adhan call is all about redistribution.

All this done because as it initially proved to be 100% connection to overseas travel. and that %% is still very high, as it would seem captain Ardern’s adhan hijabi call was not to do anything until community transmission started to happen.

Now after her adhan we are expected to bow down in prayer. pffft 🙁 and so the congregation of voters appear to do so.

Never was as he killed more blacks to gain power.

The current World Health Organisation Dictator in General supported Mugabe in 2017 to be a “good will ambassador” for WHO!

    • Oh so a new tax will fix it, just like the climate thing they had before this took hold. Any world wide organisation now is suspect for its intent. This is their usual shit idea of funding losers for a lifetime of troughing. They are just a pack of bastards, do nothing, talk about shit and nothing will ever change. Like them all believing a mentally challenged girl with no qualifications that could see CO2. The who could have done so much more to prove their worth, but chose to hide the impacts that theChinese flue were having on China so who is going to stand up and be counted for the total f**k up this now is? No one standing? Thought not.
And while I am writing my thoughts for the day, I have just seen on tv that if you travel (e.g. out of your close proximity) it aids the spread of the virus? I am very unclear how this happens, it is not an airborne virus, so if someone goes for a ride on a bike or drives the car to a park for exercise, or perhaps even swims, as long as they keep away from other people how is this happening? I do not understand what this directive is about. I know I am not an epidemiologist or anything so highly qualified, so could someone please help me to understand this, as it seems to be beyond my understanding.

    • This citizen of New Zealand wants the government of New Zealand to respond in forthright terms to the Secretary. “No – New Zealand will not be subject to any demand from the UN for any taxation.

Reality is that WHO failed early on seemingly bowing to Chinese pressure to downplay the issue. I’ll agree our government did not fully listen when WHO did warn.

The whole UN and Climate Change rip of pales into insignificance against what we have to deal with in reality now.

  11. State funded broadcaster finally changes name to Pravda

In an interesting turn of events, the state-run radio station has re-badged itself (an exercise costing $27 million dollars paid to the wife of an ex-Labour MP who now identifies as a cowpat) from “Radio NZ” to “Pravda”.

Spokesperson for Radio NZ who asked to remain anonymous told us “We felt the Krystallnacht lockdown was the perfect time for us to pivot to a name that more accurately reflected the role we’ve decided we want to play in destroying democracy leading up to the soon to be postponed election – and while the extremists in the organisation felt “Pravda” was a bit wishy washy – we checked with Jacinda and she felt it “had a nice ring to it” so we decided to go for it and hope that none of the sheeple would notice”.

Pravda (the broadcaster formerly known as “Radio NZ”) opened up their new support role for the “1000 year hugocracy” by running Labour party attack lines criticising the nation’s most popular radio host – Mike Hosking – of Free Radio ZB. Apparently – Pravda (the broadcaster formerly know as “Radio NZ”) have been listening very closely to Mike’s show (proof that no one listens to their competitor programme – their flagship show “Good Morning Viet-Cong”) and they are very unhappy that Mike has been using their technique of “making shit up as you go along”. In what commentators are describing as “Laughable fucking hypocrisy” from Pravda (the broadcaster formerly known as “Radio NZ”) as they have set the gold standard in inconsistent and dishonest reporting.

We contacted Mike for a comment and he told us “I won’t have a bad word said against Radio NZ, everything I know, I learned from them, they’re like the shouty drunk uncle at a family party – we should all love them for the short time they have left”.

(Yeah I know this comment is 100% full of nonsense – but it’s still higher quality journalism than those see you next Tuesdays at RNZ come up with – I shit them out every morning)

Coronavirus: No sign of tighter border controls despite police admitting checking not up to scratch
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2020/04/coronavirus-no-sign-of-tighter-border-controls-despite-police-admitting-checking-not-up-to-scratch.html

There is no sign the Government will tighten quarantine controls for those arriving at the border, in response to calls from the Opposition to quarantine and test everyone.

Police have admitted they have not been able to carry out the expected level of checking on people sent home to self-isolate; if they arrive in New Zealand with no COVID-19 symptoms and have a plan for self-isolation.

Outgoing Police Commissioner Mike Bush said initially police could not get the information out to frontline officers, and they were not able to visit each arrival within three days.

People returning from overseas have been receiving texts from the police.
Police admit to not tracking every Kiwi that’s come from overseas
Glenorchy is enjoying the temporary calm during lockdown.

Fundraising for the country’s war veterans will march on, despite COVID-19 forcing the postponement of Poppy Day.

Restrictions put in place to stem the spread of COVID-19 caused the day’s postponement and also led to ANZAC Day services being cancelled around the country.

In a bid to make up for Poppy Day, the RSA is going digital – setting up a Givealittle page to keep its mission going.

“We have relied on the generosity of New Zealanders through our Poppy campaign to assist us to look after our veterans in their time of need,” Clark told Newshub. “They served when we needed them and now it is our time to help them.”

    My question is this:
If humans roamed the earth during this Cretaceous Period, was my neighbour, Albert, a creature of habit, mowing his lawns at 8:00 am every bloody Sunday morning back then?
I’m just trying to get a gauge on how much longer I can expect his routine to continue.
    Cheers.

The researchers estimated based on the soil content that this location, 560 miles (900 km) from the South Pole, experienced average annual temperatures of about 53-55 degrees Fahrenheit (12-13 Celsius) and average temperatures during the warmest summer months of about 68-77 Fahrenheit (20-25 Celsius).

    https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/health/coronavirus/120762626/coronavirus-confidential-government-emergency-plan-warns-recovery-still-a-some-time-away

A confidential Government plan for managing the coronavirus lockdown has warned that crisis measures could remain in place for a long time.

The plan said there was a “likelihood that the response will have to be sustained over a protracted period before a transition to recovery can be considered”.

It did not go into detail about what the Government would want to see before the country’s Level 4 lockdown ended. Nor did it specify what a “protracted period” means.

The Government was understood to be looking at ways to exit the Level 4 lockdown, including isolating regions where the virus persists, but that work was at an early stage and hadn’t been made public

The leaked plan warned that protecting the capacity of the health system was a top priority for the country during the coming weeks.

It would seem that Hone Harawira is right, with isolating areas that have the virus. but just in reverse, but will mirror out to the same effect.

So why does Ardern torture us with her adhans?
Ardern’s adhan of “No” 3 week secured quarantine, daily health monitored. Then tests done in the final week.

The positive tests have for far too long and still shows the interaction of overseas travelers!

And now finally, we have the beginnings of community transmission.
      What a great legacy from Ardern’s adhan. // 🙁 🙁 🙁

      • John Key said that getting into the lock down was easy but getting out will be much harder. I agree with his point to some extent.
        My plan :
Wait out the 4 weeks. If nothing significant changes on the down side the Government should set up a solid testing regime at the border based on using these kits which give a result in 15 minutes ( they do this over the next few weeks). All positives are quarantined to confirm the result and offered the chloroquine medication if they want it ( I’m assuming the Auckland Med School trials are completed by then and are positive like other trials overseas).
The rest of the country just goes “cold turkey” and we all go back to normal after the 4 weeks.

          • Agreed !
Then to be sure as there can be false negatives,
A few panadol or ibufren can lower one’s temperature.
So to be sure, considering the costs, put in place now!

3 week secured quarantine, daily health monitored. Then tests done in the final week.

Forget the scamming police seeking increased powers & control with supposed tracking systems.

          • In theory I agree Viking but it would require a lot of co-ordination with authorities overseas
( the idiots in Wellington could not organise that). The only option would be for the traveller to present a written negative test result before they get a boarding pass. But you can imagine how fast the fraudulent docs would start to appear.

    4,951,500 NZers / 120 politicians = 41,262.5 angry citizens for each dickhead.

Factor in, The powderpuff factor by dividing by 6 (same factor used when determining ultimate shear strength (U.S.S) of materials,)

  20. Coronavirus: NZ with a chance to be only Western nation to eradicate COVID-19 – expert
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2020/04/coronavirus-nz-with-a-chance-to-be-only-western-nation-to-eradicate-covid-19-expert.html

One of New Zealand’s top infectious disease experts says he’s finally getting some sleep at night, with New Zealand looking like the only Western country with a chance of eradicating COVID-19.

But overseas, it’s looking like 20 million people will eventually succumb to the virus.

Professor Michael Baker from the Department of Public Health at the University of Otago told The AM Show on Friday going to pandemic alert level 4 lockdown last week was the “most decisive and strongest lockdown in the world at the moment”, and despite the economic pain, we should consider ourselves lucky to be living in New Zealand, rather than Italy, Spain, the UK or the United States.

“I was losing sleep until we moved into the lockdown – I don’t like the term lockdown, but I guess that’s the term we’re using. I breathed a huge sigh of relief and I had my best night’s sleep in a month.

    4

    0

    • That confirms it. Many of these experts have lost the plot. How can NZ eradicate the virus if it is floating around the rest of the world
AND we have a Government who will not close off the border or even agree to test everyone coming in?

I would bet my last dollar his figure of 20 million turns out to be garbage.

      11

      0

      • AND we have a Government who will not close off the border or even agree to test everyone coming in?

Leaving the doors and windows wide open in your house, while turning on all the heaters etc..

The version of the old steam ship, while stoking the fire, and putting on more coal & now wood, taking apart the ship, to keep the boilers fed, so the paddles furiously revolve.
With adhans & hoots from the steam horn as a warning of their dire circumstances and as encouragement.
Yet they do not raise the anchor!

3 week secured quarantine, daily health monitored. Then tests done in the final week.

The positive tests have for far too long and still shows the interaction of overseas travelers!

But but the feelz of the travelers? even if we paid compensation will be cheap compared to the price of what is being demanded, with menaces, and future charges to us, again with eventual tyrannical menaces.

        :By their guidelines,
This inaction, whether deliberate, ignorance, or negligent, seems to be treason to the general public!

  21. I have just posted this on Kiwblog (although I doubt that the Duty Mod will let it through- or that DPF will ever see it) ; I believe that it is self-explanatory and shows how far things have fallen.

‘Sic transit gloria’ and all that…

    ‘Mods:

    Re: ‘Tall Man
[Deleted – you are on a warning already, in future your comments that breach rules will be summarily deleted without us having to waste out time giving reasons. Mod]’

Y’ know Mod., in that single sentence you have proven that despite being on a supposedly ‘liberal’ blog where freedom of speech is (also supposedly) encouraged, you are in fact absolutely no different from those currently in power in Wellington; essentially you, Sir, are as much a bully and authoritarian as Commissioner Birch et al!

To close down speech ‘Without us having to waste out time giving reasons’ is no different from what happens in China, and, ironically (given DPF’s parental background) EXACTLY what they fled from in Europe!

Sorry DPF (Assuming you even get to see this; which I very much doubt will be the case), you’ve caved, and the totalitarians are now on site; despite any pontifications to the contrary, you are now no different to the Standard.

Alas free speech, I knew you well; shame you were forced to leave.

  22. The house arrest for the good citizens of New Zealand is a political matter and not a health matter?

The virus is a tool for a world reset
It is contagious but not very lethal.

If the NZ Govt wanted to get on top of things it would shut the borders.
    CLOSE
    FERME
    It has not .
It has fired up the ever lying media to spout its propaganda.
With businesses shut down so none or meagre advertising revenue, lying media is now completely reliant on Govt ‘goodwill’ (read as> Govt: we are the only game in town so comply or burn).
    Proudly Pravda.

The only way to realistically manage this pretty average virus is not with fear- which is the Govt tool – but to do a sample of, say, 5000 cross section people to establish a baseline of infection.
Not difficult if 3000 a day are being tested.
There are medical statistics experts who could identify the correct sample size and frequency of testing. 2000 to 3000 may be sufficient.
Test again in two weeks to measure movement.
This gives the baseline stats for the country and change/rate of change.
    Testing could be more frequent.
Real event mapping can then be done.

Some people are infected but their immune system kicks in and either beat it or it is asymptomatic. These numbers need to be known in the sample population.

The current numbers are complete nonsense and any statistician knows that.
Doctors do a fair bit of stats in their training and some specialise in this.
The Truth is not being allowed out.
No surprise with Pinocchio heading all the press conferences and her overpaid minion/Ministers are at the beach or out biking.

NZ software was used in the 2001 Foot and Mouth outbreak in the UK to track movement and ID the source farm.
This was from Massey when it was a University of higher learning.
But we cant track a ‘critical human virus that has crashed our economy’.
    ‘Can’t’ or ‘Choose not to’?
    Rhetorical.

These numbers allow health professionals to plan and manage.
As it is there is panic everywhere (deliberate fear in order to control) and the bought and paid for MSM tells us hospitals are under pressure when there are less people in hospital with COVID 19 than a NZ Saturday in June with rugby injuries.

The health system has not collapsed.
    Truth has collapsed.
The Minister of Health is able to go out mountain biking so it cannot be that bad.

Without baseline testing in order to have true knowledge and planned management the obvious answer is that it is a political move and not a health move.

The people wheeled out on the Teev to answer questions are pet scientists like the pink haired Pom.
This is that same tactic as the Climate Change malarkey.
Get pet scientists to pump fear into fools.

    I am not fooled.
    This is a shakedown.
It is time for revolution, my friends. (not comrades)

Coronavirus: Health Minister’s bike ride shows how confusing lockdown rules are – Judith Collins
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2020/04/coronavirus-health-minister-s-bike-ride-shows-how-confusing-lockdown-rules-are-judith-collins.html

“I think it is actually evidence of just how confusing all these so-called rules that seem to be being made on the hoof are,” Collins told The AM Show on Friday.

“We’ve got the police wandering around beaches telling people to get off beaches – God knows why, when they’re about 100m between each other. Then we have people coming into the country and not going into quarantine… that, I think, is what the problem is here.

“David Clark has dropped the ball in quite a serious way, not because so much he is an MP or a minister, but because he’s the Minister of Health. I feel a great deal of sympathy for David Clark because I know he’s a nice chap, and as a doctor of theology… he can certainly pray for himself.”

  26. The Minister of Health refuses to do his job:

“I was told some days ago about his refusal to be in Wellington to head his Ministry’s response to COVID-19 because he wanted to be at home in Dunedin with his family. I didn’t make that a story because I didn’t think it was helpful.”

Opinion: The question of Health Minister David Clark’s removal is not debatable
    Sean Plunket
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2020/04/opinion-the-question-of-health-minister-david-clark-s-removal-is-not-debatable.html

I’ve refrained from being overly critical and tried to apply common sense and compassion when you have rung scared, angry or outraged at what has happened to our country and the world. I have tried not to scaremonger or sow division but to be onboard and a team player in this most difficult of times.

Right now I’m feeling very let down by the Government I so much want to support, and hope will succeed in leading us all through this.

More specifically by one member of that Government the Minister of Health Dr David Clark.

I was told some days ago about his refusal to be in Wellington to head his Ministry’s response to COVID-19 because he wanted to be at home in Dunedin with his family. I didn’t make that a story because I didn’t think it was helpful.

On Thursday the Minister of Health told me I needn’t have bothered trying to do the right thing. In between video conferences the man who should be at the front of our fight against COVID-19 put his mountain bike in the back of his campaign van and drove 2kms to a 6km mountain back track for a bit of exercise.

The excuses he gave when approached by the media are the same lines of self-centred self- justification that I and police officers all over the country have been hearing for the past week and a half, the sort of bullshit that the non-team players use in putting us all at risk.

The question of this Minister’s removal is not a debateable point.

At a time when our government and authorities need to have a moral high ground and exercise an unimpeachable authority to ask great sacrifice of citizens this Dr of Theology’s fall from grace is beyond redemption.

His selfish bike ride is like a member of Churchill’s war cabinet hanging party lights on his house during the blitz.

He has insulted every health worker, police officer and citizen of this country and made a fool of his Prime Minister.

Priority one for the government today is to find a new minister health we can trust to do the right thing.

      • Exactly
        This is simply blood-letting.

People know that Clark has done wrong so a few media shills trumpet a bit of a challenge then BAU – back to incompetence and lies to cover-up.

Mediaworks /New shub/TV3 was deep in do do more than 2 years ago.
It was making a loss on its TV station(s) even with $20 mill a year from NZ on Air to pay for its NZ programming trash like Jono and Ben and Golriz’s toyboy crap.

The radio stations make money. TV does not but it a ‘glamorous position’ to have.
The US owners have wanted to sell.
It was a negative cash flow operation as it stands a year ago,.
Now revenue will dry up with bugger all advertising.
This will likely make radio unprofitable to go with the loss making TV gig.

        The Money Shot:-
They will want a Govt bail out. They will be compliant with a couple of blood-letting articles to make it look like they are ‘independent’
In truth, they are mouthpieces passing on the propaganda.

News gathering costs must be sweet FA now.
Take the many Govt feeds and interview a couple of guys and gals at home over video conferencing.
No need to find any GNews.
        It just pours out.
Interview numpties from Otago uni. ( Comedy hour)

They need a bail out to keep their playpen.
They will go along to get along.

Talking to my sister last night.
She suffers (watches ) this nonsense.
Apparently Garner yesterday said 100,000 people had ‘died’ in New York.
She was shocked then realised less than 50,00 were dead so is waking up – veeeery slowly – to fake Gnews.
Mostly misinformation but that is par for that course.

Mediaworks will try to look like it is questioning things but they need our taxpayer money to say afloat.
They are house slaves and they know it.

  29. The US Space Force’s Space Fence orbital tracking system is officially operational

The U.S. Space Force is a relatively young arm of the U.S. armed forces, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t already operating assets. The USSF announced late last week that its Space Fence radar system is now officially operational, for instance. First: Yes, it is actually called that. Second, the Space Fence is actually a radar system that aims to provide advanced tracking of on-orbit objects, including, but not limited to, commercial and military satellites.

The Space Fence ground infrastructure is located in the Marshall Islands, and currently is in the “initial operational capability and operational acceptance” phase. The program will track the existing 26,000 orbital objects already accounted for in the existing Space Surveillance Network (SSN), but Space Force said via an update on the new operational phase that it expects to grow that list quickly with its own additions.

To support detailed tracking of objects in this orbital range, the radar observation technology developed by Lockheed Martin on behalf of Space Force can pick up items roughly the size of a marble in low Earth orbit. With that level of fine-grained observational power, it seems pretty likely that eventually the catalog should contain just about every active and passive potential observation, communication and potentially militarized in-space assets operated by just about anyone.

  31. Adern’s adhan does not line up with what was done for the capital of islam, in Saudi Arabia, even if this is a gloss piece for Saudi.

Before the Kingdom had even recorded a single case of coronavirus, it banned foreign worshippers from performing pilgrimage in the holy city of Mecca, which no doubt halted the advance of the deadly disease. ……
…… the Kingdom has gone further and faster by suspending all international flights into the country for two weeks. ……

Again Saudi knows how to tell its worshippers to “far cough”* just as it does to muslim refugees..
Nor does it care about human rights, but it was concerned for its own citizens, and their own hides.

Adern’s treasonous adhan of her decision around having community transmission before doing anything, has for her rule come true, sans hugs. // 🙁

Then Ardern can feelz that she can truly lead to ruling with adhans, & fatwas, like a Saudi, as NZ then follows in their adhan wake. 🙁

    * thanks Viking.

  32. Even though this virus hoax has been debunked, there are still imbeciles who think it’s real. The odds of winning a major lottery prize are greater than the risk of death from Wu Hu Flu.

But imbeciles can’t do math and use feelz instead.

  33. Minister of Culture & Heritage Ardern has been busy transposing her adhans to others like to the Broad casting minister.
Newshub can reveal Bauer asked the Government to bail it out – to buy its magazines and to save jobs as a last minute lifeline, for bottom-dollar.
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2020/04/government-turned-down-request-for-help-from-struggling-publisher-bauer-media.html

But it is worse than that,, it was Ardern’s Culture & Heritage ministry, that did not negotiate and expected all publications to bow down to Ardern’s adhan!

the magazine company was lobbying for a change to the essential services criteria. An all-staff message on March 28 stated “Bauer Media is assisting the MPA [Magazine Publishers Association] on a further submission” to the guidelines which had excluded them from the essential services designation.

    https://thespinoff.co.nz/politics/03-04-2020/faafoi-accuses-bauer-of-running-contradictory-claims-over-magazine-closures/
Plus spinoff has further links to Opinion: “Bauer’s shocking fall reveals the government’s poisonous media dilemma”
    https://thespinoff.co.nz/business/03-04-2020/bauers-shocking-fall-reveals-the-governments-poisonous-media-dilemma/

This has to be looked at much more, as although may casually effect a large portion of their doting audience, the truth here needs to be fully exposed, so maybe some will have the beginnings of a seed of doubt about adhan calls.

    • “They didn’t enter a conversation about becoming an essential service, they didn’t seek to continue to operate in lockdown,” says
      @jacindaardern.

      This is absolutely false.
Bauer, via the MPA, were seeking essential services status last week.

      https://twitter.com/RebekahWh/status/1245822529991655425

The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing, and actually hides things, thinking they are a ginn that can be one of the great deceivers and the it was her ministry that killed publications.

Just goes to show the twisting and turning as adhans & fatwas screech across the land.

The same seems to go for the testing systems, not knowing, not even wanting to know, so long as the she can make adhans, believing it all sounds good.

Either we have the tests, then where, then the ability to get tests done.
And none of the changing of how the results tally up, just so they can then be fudged.

May be if there was a limit, why not use the tools of secured quarantined for 3 weeks, health monitoring and then testing in the final week for all overseas arrivals.
Would seem to be a good prioritization for those tests!

It is all of Ardern’s decisions to make adhans that she has inflicted on the public.
Yet they bow down, and mourn comic book passings.

  34. Katie Kenny might want to look at the graph she posted and then review her script.

This isn’t about Millennials saving Boomers, it’s about the country banding together to save itself, experts say

Tension between Boomers and Millennials has only escalated as a result of Covid-19.

TikTok, Twitter and other social media all have memes referring to the novel coronavirus as a “boomer remover”. The – deeply unkind – moniker highlights the deep-seated anger many young people feel towards older generations about their politics and other generational differences.

“In overrun hospitals abroad, the elderly have been very quickly triaged out of [intensive care units] and then hospital care, so the net result is the hospitals are full of the younger people even though as a cohort, there are far fewer of them.”

But academics and health professionals were frustrated by the lack of strategic clarity and concerned that even limited spread of the disease would exceed the country’s health system.

  35. Has anyone tried to get a flu jab?
Why is it impossible to access your own medical centre?
Evidently there’s been such a downturn in business that doctors have had to be laid off, or propped up with government subsidising their businesses.
You’d think drive through flu clinicS would be thriving.

Evidently the chemists have stocks, but I want mine done at the GP because I qualify for free vaccination., but they don’t have stocks. If I go to the chemist I have to pay.

    • Hubby and I had our flu shots last monday in our GP’s carpark. I know my sister and bro-inlaw also had theirs the same day in a different city. My old folks who are nearly 90 have not yet received their flu vaccine after putting their name down for the nurse visiting to vaccinate their retirement village, in a different city.

Adverts are still being played for aged and vulnerable patients to make appointments but there are also intermittent reports of vaccine shortages.

      • Mrs Komata and I had our flu shots yesterday at our local GP’s. No problems, no delays. It was however rather surreal, as we were placed outside in a tent and the GP arrived dressed up in makeshift safety gear. An NBC SUIT ( Some will know) it certainly wasn’t, but was evidently suitable for the purpose. A conversation followed our being ‘spiked’ during which it emerged that because of the inherent risks from the virus, he had had to let his very long-time ( but 70 year old) receptionist go, due to her age and consequent high risk of infection factor. Very sad, as she was a lovely lady. An unexpected and unwarranted casualty of Cindy’s stupidity. It’s these sorts of small incidents which the media never report, but are equally as devestating as the ‘Mother of 14 kicked out of state house because of Meth’ articles so beloved of NZ media. No idea how the lady is coping (or even where she lives) but I suspect that she’s not exactly a fan of Cindy et al at the moment. Hopefully she will remain safe and unaffected by corona.

      • Our medical centre runs like a secret society. They weren’t supposed to have stock until 1 April, then that was brought forward but exhausted immediately.
In the 21st century there is no text or email, they just keep telling me to ring back. I’m allowed to ring back on Tuesday now – to see if they have new stock, and to see if they have times still available.
I think the flu vax is only available to those hardy souls who are really, really determined to keep ringing and ringing and ringing.
They could get by with half the reception staff if they got their act together.

    • One million people have this flu after 3+ months
      As recorded.
The numbers are wonky as there is no valid number.

However for real numbers- 1.2+ million die a year on the road/vehicle accidents.
Over 300,000 in 3 months or more than 100,000 per month.
      Actually dead.

      CV19
1 mill recorded as with it.
Probably a multiple many times more but the immune system has swatted it away and/or they are asymptomatic so not even a cough. Ergo, no real effect.

In a world pop of 7 billion that is 0.014% that have been recorded with all this testing and focus.

50,000 dead. That number is overstated because the NZ one is bogus (died with not because of)
      But lets go with it.
      of world pop. 0.000714% dead.
Chances of winning $30 mill in lotto ??

Let’s crash the world economy and make people prisoners in their home.
And to be more silly, invite back to NZ anyone who can claim a link with NZ so we can bring in more.

Could we focus on something that counts like this govt coup?

        • Why are we plagued with disreputable Clarks.?

Clark is an English language surname, ultimately derived from the Latin clericus meaning “scribe”, “secretary” or a scholar within a religious order, referring to someone who was educated. Clark evolved from “clerk”.
          Meaning: Clerk, scribe, secretary
          Language(s): Old English
          Variant form(s): Clarke, Clerk
          Region of origin: England

The Japanese government is discussing the placement of the light or asymptomatic cases in (the empty) hotels, as a means to relieve pressure on hospital facilities.
NZ appears to be ahead of Japan in this regard.

  39. As expected, the Media Council has finally responded to my complaints with a big “Fuck you”.

[13] The term “far-right” is a loose one, and subject to ambiguity and interpretation. It can be used to simply describe those who are at the right-wing end of conservative politics, but it is also used to describe those who hold nationalistic, racist views.

[14] Mr Pascal was concerned that the use of the term “far-right” connected Mr de Boer with the “alt-right” white supremacist viewpoint. The Council does not concur that far-right has these extreme connotations.

Interesting to note that if you are of the “right-wing” end of conservative politics, you are now “far-right” according to an organisation that is meant to uphold fairness and balance.

Would they describe Jacinda Ardern or Julie-Anne Genter or most of the Green or Labour Party as “far-left”?

    5

    • “… but it is also used to describe those who hold nationalistic, racist views.”
Ghandi was a nationalist (India for the Indians). So he was a racist, right?

    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2020/04/health-boss-stands-by-covid-19-border-measures-as-national-blasts-not-good-enough-response.html

The Ministry of Health is standing by the current border control measures of only requiring forced quarantine if an arrival shows COVID-19 symptoms, but a National MP says that’s “not good enough”.

Paul Goldsmith, the National Party’s finance spokesperson, told Magic Talk the Government’s main focus should be on getting the country through the lockdown as quickly as possible to avoid an economic catastrophe.

He said that’s why it’s important people are protected from potential virus-carriers coming in from overseas, and that he was “frustrated” to learn from Police Commissioner Mike Bush that not every arrival had been followed up on.

Since 31 March, 6250 text messages have been sent to returning travellers who consented to being contacted. More than 3000 people responded to the text message.

    • It seems that it is like shop girl that once was shouting an adhan to the back of shop for “2 dozen oysters, 5 fish, 5 sausages, a dozen squid rings & $10 of chips”.
Then who ordered this “2 dozen …… etc. ..” repeat a few times, and then also dawns on her, that she had not collected the money for that.

Now what does a good shop girl like Ardern to do?
      1) how many times does she keep calling out for any body to come & collect and also pay? then shush, every body will know there is a problem.
      2) busy herself taking another order?
      3) does she inflate the money on the next order?
      4) try & sell some woman’s weekly and magazines in the shop?
      5) convince her boss it was a text order, and the money is already sent to the bank.
      6) convince the boss to sign up for some UNicornical insurance system, then everything will be ok,
      7) try to redistribute that unpaid order onto everyone else’s account.
      8) tell a customer that he had short changed her, so should pay more in picking up his order.

Too many captain adhans to make over this issue, so just a head ache, pull out the “Closed for Business” sign.

I am sure a few more ideas will not be so faraway, and can we carry that through to others about this shop girl and her business.

          • The jinn is out of the bottle.

Still really nothing on the border control, as the policy is holding to self isolation & a scamming police cell phone set up.
Stuff every one else into lock-down.

The lab staff will get a pay rise.
The nurses, well they have a place, but it is difficult to figure with Doctors twiddling thumbs, but stressed up with the changes.
The nurses maybe able to get sort of an extra hard work, hot & sweaty allowance.

I think the logistics are going to be crazy, possibly changing some of it, or all of it, between patients.
Will it be disposable, or recyclable, so has to be washed to hygienic standards.

The problem is I have only put 8 options up above, but I am sure the rest of you can find many more, and mix & match all of those into further costs.

  43. Now I remember why I hated working for institutions. General surgeon who supplied her own extra PPE gear warned by hospital HR not to wear it as it made other staff anxious (because they don’t have as much protective gear)

Coronavirus: Auckland doctor threatened by bosses to stop wearing extra PPE or be stood down
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2020/04/coronavirus-auckland-doctor-threatened-by-bosses-to-stop-wearing-extra-ppe-or-be-stood-down.html

Hospital bosses threatened to stand down a surgeon from the frontline if she didn’t stop wearing extra personal protective equipment (PPE).

Dr Stephanie Ulmer, a general surgeon at Middlemore Hospital, was told her use of PPE was making other staff feel anxious.

However, she says hospitals should provide PPE to everyone coming into close contact with patients – and thinks the Ministry of Health guidelines around it aren’t stringent enough.

“I believe we are treating our nurses and medical staff as a dispensable commodity at the moment, based on the fact that we are not providing protection,” Dr Ulmer told Newshub.

  44. So here we are looking down the barrel of another total F- – -K up by our clownish coalition and how depressing it was for me to just watch RNZs interview with the new police commissioner “new police commissioner Andy Costers first day” .
unbelievably they have found a more politically correct buffoon than the moronic Bush ,asked three times what he thought of David Clarkes bike ride he yapped on and refused to answer the question,
I’m not sure but just going by the way he talks he may be gay,and thats ok ,but if he is it’ll explain a lot about Arderns personal fondness and support for him being chosen as commissioner, they are good friends.
And as for this shambles of a response to the China virus when we have even leftie heavy weights coming up with a description of the plan as “We need an adult in the room” you know we are in trouble at a time when we are apparently facing a health and financial armegedon.
So Ardern and Robinson are swapping fiddles as our country burns and those 120 fucking clowns are still on holiday, thats NZ for you….
