I watched that clip as was not impressed that David Seymour was ejected. This a House of Parliament where debate will include, or should include such exchanges. My view is David Seymour was not offensive in the context of the event and the Speaker too quick to eject him.

The changes to the wage subsidy scheme criteria means it is now forecast to provide between $2.6 billion and $3.9 billion of support to businesses, up from a top estimate of $3.2 billion under the old threshold.
It will be funded through the Government’s mammoth $50 billion COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund unveiled in Budget 2020.
The wage subsidy scheme has so far paid out $10.997 billion, covering 1.66 million jobs.

The Green Party has angered the Police Association by sending a letter to the Police Commissioner urging him not to arm officers, in the wake of a US cop facing a murder charge over the death of George Floyd.
The letter, penned by Greens co-leader Marama Davidson and justice spokesperson Golriz Ghahraman, warned the Police Commissioner against implementing the recent trial of Armed Response Teams across New Zealand.
“We only have to look to the United States to see how violent things can get under a militarised police force,” Davidson said. “This is especially so for minorities and communities of colour.”

Farmers have been fighting for improved connectivity for years, but as highlighted by a number of photos shared online this week it seems there is still a way to go.
The images, shared on Federated Farmers’ Facebook page, show the lengths that some farmers have to go to for a decent cell phone signal.
They have my sympathy. On our property there was one area of about 20 acres on the furthest ridge which attracted a couple of bars of 3G signal. Broadband near came & passed us by. The Chorus copper offering was slow while satellite was slow & expensive.
If you looked at a relief map of the central Wairarapa it wasn’t hard to figure out why but it didn’t make doing business exactly easy.
Rural folk haven’t been a priority for this lot nasska.

,National had a program to improve rural broadband and eliminate cell phone black spots.
Some gains were achieved in the face of Telcos ,Councils and others only doing what suited them.
The value is clear ..Wireless set ups were about the only communication working during Te earthquake season..
This value of the broadband infrastructure is so big it needs strong Governments to ensure it does happen and soon.
