  1. My eldest sons neighbour who has been a high flyer with the Ford motor company NZ for decades was made redundent 2 months ago is now back working with one of the franchises as a car detailer.
His partner has also lost her administration place at another business and cant find another job despite being highly qualified , this from just one family so imagine whats going to happen when wage subsidies stop in a month.
To hope that our COL is capable of getting the country out of the shitstorm about to strike is laughable,

  2. I had to turn the news off last night. It was rapidly morphing into a Christian revival meeting. I was waiting for the auto cue bloke to start dancing and speaking in tongues to show his gratitude to the chosen one. This is getting more sickening by the day. What is happening to what’s left of our country?

    • In typical leftist policy I think it might be every man/woman for him/her self. Received an email letter from ACT last night telling me the name of the candidate for Hamilton West. It said next to nothing about him at all, I was very disappointed. Asking for help delivering pamphlets, attending meetings etc etc but actually I don’t know who he is, what he stands for or anything else about him. Will he stand for woke beliefs etc or be a real party man? I’d like to know more about the candidate they are putting up before I go out in support.

      • Keep in mind ACT is fielding a massive set of candidates compared to previous years and a lot of them will be new. Most candidates I’m aware of are setting up events in their local area, meeting with members and supporters to give you a chance to get to know them and their beliefs. We have an event in St Helliers tonight, in-fact, where David Seymour is coming to introduce our local candidate and to launch her campaign.

In terms of Roger Weldon, his stated motivation is:

I am standing to raise ACT’s Party Vote in Hamilton West. My desire to run for Parliament stems from an ever-increasing concern about how Government looks to interfere in the freedoms of every day New Zealanders. Having had the benefit of working abroad, I have seen what happens when Governments forget the pillars of a western democracy.

His intro blurb is sparse, but it says:

Roger is a General Manager at one of New Zealand’s largest companies. He worked himself up from, in his words, ‘the shop floor,’ working hard to develop himself and deliver value to the people and companies he’s worked with.

You can find Roger here on Facebook. He responds to discussions, so you can always ask him specific things through there.

    • My gut feeling says you are right; there is no way a government can borrow so much money without a plan, a clue of how to manage it and then manage a whole recovery.

The work we are doing as a company though; we’re busier than before Covid-19 and are now actively recruiting. The companies we do business with are in a similar position, they are global and growing. Going out over the weekends, there are people out and about, shops are busy and traffic is queuing up. Anecdotally, getting parking at Sylvia Park for example is more challenging now than ever before.

  8. So anyway- As I mentioned last night there are rumours from several well-connected sources that the Mad Queen is planning on being heavily involved in the June 14′ Black Lives Matter’ protest in Auckland.
One can only speculate how much influence this protest (and the potential media adulation her appearance will garner) had on her decision to move the Country out of lockdown but I strongly suspect that, as always, it is ‘All about Jacinda’.

  9. Judith Collins says NZ’s travel bubble should extend to Pacific island nations

“I would like to see the Pacific Islands included, because countries like Samoa closed their borders a month before New Zealand did, they had no cases (of Covid-19),” Ms Collins said on TVNZ1’s Q+A.

“They are a country that could do with some tourism from New Zealand.”

Ms Collins said there should also be more clarity over the people allowed into New Zealand after borders were closed due to the pandemic.

New Zealanders and family members or people deemed essential are allowed into the country. Of more than 2000 exemption applications, only 10 per cent were approved.

“There are a lot of people wanting to have some clarity to make big business decisions,” Ms Collins said.

“We are in for an enormous battle when it comes to the economy and jobs.”

  10. Former Prime Minister Sir Geoffrey Palmer reveals KGB tried to infiltrate the Labour Party during the Cold War
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2020/06/former-prime-minister-sir-geoffrey-palmer-reveals-kgb-tried-to-infiltrate-the-labour-party-during-the-cold-war.html

by an opportunity they saw to stoke tensions between New Zealand and the US over the anti-nuclear law banning American warships from port visits.
Sir Geoffrey, who was Deputy Prime Minister from 1984 and Prime Minister for 13 months from 1989, was also Justice Minister and Attorney-General during much of that time, signing off interception warrants for New Zealand’s security intelligence agency, the SIS.

“It was difficult because you often knew the people whose warrants you were attending to and you had certain obligations,” he said. “You couldn’t disclose who they were or what they had been alleged to have done.”

“The Soviet Union was spying on the Labour Party. It was trying to get information out of them, cultivate them,” he said. “That’s why it was so painful.”

He said the KGB was unsuccessful in its attempts to infiltrate the party. “But there were big efforts made”.

But former SIS officer Kitt Bennetts, who worked on the Russia desk for the New Zealand security intelligence agency in the 1970s and 1980s, said the KGB did have some success infiltrating the Labour Party.

  11. Prediction: Solar Flares will be the next plague

As we all know, the pedophilic alt-left love their symbolism (remember the Ch’ch shooting was on the “Ides of March”, think of the weird symbols all over the Epstein pedophile island, the 6 fingered Obama portrait etc). Well as this is potentially “the End of Days” for the lunatic left (if Trump wins again), I think they’re going to go for the biblical image of 7 deadly plagues (what better way to continue to discredit Christianity than to subvert and build negative associations with scripture).

So, we’ve had two plagues already:
    – the Plannedemic, and
    – the plague of faux racism riots

Now that the idiocy of the first is plain for all to see, and it seems to me that the steam is going out of the BLM protests as riots turn more and more people off – what is the next plague that is to be visited upon us as punishment for the evil Pharoh (ie Trump).

Well my pick is that the Sun has caused a lot of problems for the lunatic left of late, the Grand Solar Minimum really put paid to the great global warming scam – so what better target is there to make the sheeple afraid of next?

The world has experienced the effects of a massive solar flare in the past with the 1859 Carrington Effect – which if it happened today would potentially causes widespread and catastrophic disruption to the electrical grid and could fry any electronic device around the world (well the last bit is from Wikipedia so it’s likely to be as accurate as the Imperial College Coronavirus modelling is). It fits all the criteria for lunatic leftist lies:
    – it’s catastrophic
    – impossible to disprove
    – will require us to “trust the Experts” (Tui ad)
    – can be turned into some way of destroying capitalism and setting up a NWO one government (eg “we have to band together to put a billion mirrors in space to save lives – this is bigger than any one country”)

And you may ask how do I know this is one of the seven manufactured biblical plagues that is going to be rolled out to blame Trump for?

Simple, the ground is already being prepared for it by the dishonest, bought-and-paid for MSM!

They’re so transparent! You are being lied to, every day in every way.

Women’s fashion brand Max to close 17 stores across New Zealand
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2020/06/women-s-fashion-brand-max-to-close-17-stores-across-new-zealand.html

The clothing chain, owned by Chris Greive, Gary Hitchcock and James Whiting, is being restructured and is seeking a creditor’s compromise so it can keep trading, BusinessDesk reports.

The company has not paid rent since the end of March.

According to BusinessDesk, separate negotiations with landlords were unsuccessful and there was significant variance in the offers on the table.

The company is seeking a compromise where all landlords will reduce rent across the remaining outlets if enough agree to the discount. It’s hoped this will prevent the company from going into receivership or liquidation.

“If the landlords approve the proposed formal creditor’s compromise, we are confident that we can continue on the exciting journey of rebuilding this iconic brand on the other side of this very difficult but necessary restructure,” managing director Jamie Whiting said in a statement to BusinessDesk.

COVID-19: Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern admits New Zealand made it to alert level 1 earlier than expected, caution exercised with trans-Tasman bubble
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2020/06/covid-19-prime-minister-jacinda-ardern-admits-new-zealand-made-it-to-alert-level-1-earlier-than-expected-caution-exercised-with-trans-tasman-bubble.html

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says a travel corridor with Australia is still on the cards despite concerns about community transmission across the Tasman.

The move to alert level 1 begs the question of when New Zealand can ease some border restrictions with Australia. The idea of a Trans-Tasman bubble has been floating for more than a month, and pressure is building from the likes of the tourism industry and Opposition politicians.

Australia still has about 450 active cases of SARS-CoV-2 – the virus that causes the COVID-19 respiratory disease.

“At the moment we just need to make sure they’re [Australia] in a similar position to us in terms of how they’re tracking for cases,” Ardern told The AM Show on Tuesday.

    7

    • As I said yesterday, the Australians do not care one iota what Ardern says or thinks. They will make up their own minds and just like Ardern, politics are in the way in Australia –ie. the Queensland PM is playing all sorts of games. Until the State Premiers decide all is OK politically and from health point of view nothing will happen. But the protesters may have prodded them in the right direction.

    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2020/06/national-aims-to-scrap-teacher-registration-costs-after-teaching-council-proposal-to-double-fees.html

National is proposing to scrap teacher registration fees after more than 30,000 people signed a petition urging the Teaching Council not to double costs.

The Teaching Council plans to charge teachers $157 per year from February 2021, up from $73.60 a year under the current system which charges them $220.80 every three years.

“I’m not going to question what Kelvin Davis does in the background, from what I understand he’s a really hard worker, but we’re not seeing that communication from him and the feeling in the tourism industry is one that doesn’t have confidence,” Rotorua MDA Experiences’ Tukurua Mutu told TVNZ 1’s Breakfast last week.

However Mr Davis maintains he’s been engaging directly with those in the industry and today, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern went in to bat for him.

“During lockdown, he was having regional hui via Zoom with the representatives from different regions,” she told Breakfast host John Campbell this morning.

“He came to the Cabinet table and said the number one thing the tourism industry right now is asking for is that the Government extends the wage subsidy. That was the most important thing at that point in time. So that is what we did.”

Mr Davis also represented the tourism industry by asking for ways to boost the domestic market, Ms Ardern says.

“And of course they’ve said can you start working on that trans-Tasman bubble, and that’s what we’re doing.

“All of those have come through the minister and us talking directly to those regional operations.”

    • It’s all in the translation W.G, “From what I understand he’s a really hard worker” means I have no idea what he does all day and am trying to distance myself until I can find a bus to throw him under. Even with that sycophantic moron John Campbell trying to help it still looks awful.

  22. Winston Peters digs in on trans-Tasman bubble: ‘No reason at all for us not to have started it’
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2020/06/winston-peters-digs-in-on-trans-tasman-bubble-no-reason-at-all-for-us-not-to-have-started-it.html

Winston Peters believes a trans-Tasman travel bubble should be in place by now and says there is “no reason at all for us not to have started it” state-by-state.

The Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged New Zealand is dependent on Australia being ready for the move, but told Magic Talk arrangements for Kiwis to travel state-by-state should have happened “yesterday”.

“Rather than being confined or constrained by the states that are not succeeding with COVID-19, why don’t we just deal with Tasmania for example and Queensland, and start there?” Peters suggested.

“If we do, it’ll set a serious precedent. We should have started that, as I said, yesterday. There is no reason at all for us not to have started it.”

But honestly- The mere sight of this revolting woman doing her endless publicity stunts makes my fucking stomach churn!
Does anyone else suffer from this? I can’t even watch the bloody news anymore as I want to puke all over the TV screen every time I see her face.
I’d even rather have Helen Clark as PM- . For all her faults at least she didn’t bombard us with cutesy PR stunts on a daily basis!

        • I spend a lot of time yelling at the ‘news’ to tell the other side but no, they are so busy twisting the truth to feed the deep belief system of the left and keep the real truth away from those willing to listen. I truly am concerned for the future of NZ’ers if Cindy and her communists are returned to power in September.

When I went to look at it YouTube had blocked it, so all I could do is look up the Sunrise Movement. I went back to KB later to see if the block by YT had been removed and surprise, surprise KB had removed the original post and the two responses to it. Go YSB !!

  24. Has Stephieboy found a new hobby?

Thousands watch 40yo, size-16 woman try on clothes and stores see sales boom

    ***
Nat Angel is 40, a size 16 and has thousands of women peer into her bedroom while she strips down to her knickers trying on clothes for fashion labels. That’s because the Sunshine Coast woman is a social media influencer leading a new wave of “authentic” fashion marketing. She tries on clothes in her bedroom to show the fit and feel of garments and posts the vision with honest commentary on her Let Me Try Before You Buy groups on Instagram and Facebook.

Authenticity was key during the live Facebook events, which resemble a bird’s-eye view into a fitting room — she even strips down to her knickers on camera to keep it real. “I want to build the trust of the woman watching me — she’s the most important person for me,” she said.
    ***

Hmmm… maybe not just women watching her…

it occurred to me that there might be other online options for people with more – how can I put this? – exotic tastes. We know from Stephieboy’s perverted comments (the ones lusting after Maggy and her panties, and the notorious ones about perving at young girls with “small but ample breasts” at St Lukes) that he has exotic tastes. So who knows – maybe he’s into perving at this fashion exhibitionist too!

  25. What a wimp. He’s bought into the rhetoric. The members of the NZ police force will be so impressed with their new commissioner. //

Police commissioner confirms no more Armed Response Teams in New Zealand
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2020/06/police-commissioner-confirms-no-more-armed-response-teams-in-new-zealand.html

In a statement on Tuesday, Coster said ARTs will not be part of the policing model in future.

“It is clear to me these response teams do not align with the style of policing that New Zealanders expect,” he said.

The news follows widespread outrage over the proposal to arm police, with people concerned it would disproportionately impact Maori and Pasific people.

Action Station surveyed 1155 Maori and Pasifika people and found 85 percent of those surveyed did not support the trial going ahead, 87 percent felt less safe knowing there were armed police in their community and 91 percent would not call the police for help if they knew they had guns on them.

    • ……”and 91 percent would not call the police for help if they knew they had guns on them”……

To become a good shot, especially under pressure involves constant firing practise which uses ammo which costs the Police real money. Since most of their training will involve shouting “bang, bang” at cardboard cutouts the move is probably a good one.

      7

      0

      • Why can’t they do their training virtually. Formular one motor racing has been doing that very thing.

        5

        0

        • Dunno. Static firing as in containment is one field the NZ police cover quite well. Settle in for the long haul & shoot as a last option.

I’m not sure that virtual training would replicate the decision making required when the cops are under pressure, under fire & circumstances are changing fast. This is the NZ cops’ Achilles heel & is the basis of most current bleats of racism.

          5

          0

        • ED, Going by that fiasco a few years ago when four or five cops fired about 30 shots at a menacing red nose pit bull at a crime scene and missed every shot I suspect they have been doing virtual pistol training.
Of course if you consider bullet holes in fence posts, car doors, house’s,car tyres, footpaths, trees, letter boxes and lamp posts kill shots they are doing fine, LOL.

North Korea said they will cut off all communication with South Korea on Tuesday — and blamed the country for allowing the “riff-raff” of activists floating anti-communist leaflets across their border.

They added the decision was made by leader Kim Jong Un’s powerful sister, Kim Yo Jong.

UK: Demonstration planned against Antifa anarchists on Saturday June 13th

A massive demonstration has been planned for Saturday, the 13th of June, in response to the attacks on brave Met Police officers, the vandalism of UK landmarks, and rioting by Antifa Terrorists.

The event is due to take place at 11am on Saturday June 13th on Whitehall – and intends to be a peacefull response to Antifa anarchy and welcomes and all colours, creeds and orientations.

The protest hopes to give a balance to the biased coverage and reaction to the death of criminal thug George Floyd, who left-wing UK Antifa protesters have been using to further their own gains.
