    • just read the link and saw this “On the other hand, if this device is made available to all the commoners” Who in this day and age talks about “commoners” are they the only ones prone to rape? I would have thought the “elites” would be more prone to rape these “commoners”

      • What makes her good?

        Her failure to improve housing?

Her failure where 9 years of child poverty decreasing saw a marked increase under her leadership?

Or the captains call that increased our coal burning and import of coal?

Maybe it is the dropping elective surgery?

Or all the strikes from teachers and nursing staff who for 9 years were looked after enough they didn’t strike?

She IS good at empty, vacuous promises. I give you that.

She IS good at using the police to protect those close to her.

She IS good at turning the media into a propaganda arm of the state.

She IS good at using the police as a political weapon of the Labour party. (Brown Shirts?)

She is good at many, destructive things.

Why do you think she is good?

  1. Yesterday I was accused of being a troll. Well I am not. Just because I only post in the mornings doesn’t mean it. I have more important things to do with my day than be on here all day. Unlike some of youse, I do have a life.

  2. How you know when a PM has overstayed their welcome ….

If England had scored the winning goal in a world cup final it wouldn’t have caused this much excitement..
    https://twitter.com/LeaveEUOfficial/status/1131867150774358016

I’m guessing that Mrs May will want to negotiate her withdrawal from No10 and it will involve the UK taxpayers forking out $39bn to her and she’ll still stay sleeping in the same bed and no one else will be able to be PM.

She will go down in history as the UK’s worst PM ever – and that’s saying something!

    • `She will go down in history as the UK’s worst PM ever – and that’s saying something!’

I am not sure you are right there DiffP. She took on an unenviable task and was not able to sell whatever she was trying to achieve to he cabinet or caucus. Was that her fault or was the Tory parliamentary party just hopelessly divided on the subject.

As far as poor Prime Ministers go I was in London for all of Gordon Browns term – he was awful.

      • Hey Ed -Idon’tknow what happened there – my contribution should have stopped at awful.

Are you able to correct please.

      • Let’s settle for worst Conservative Party PM in 100 years.
Labour are in their own class.
May was simply dreadful – a true enemy of the people.
She was in effect operating as a foreign agent so in the same category as Maclean, Burgess, Philby and Blunt.
The result should be the same.
If she had wanted to help the Conservative party she would have announced this 48 hours earlier prior to the EU vote.
        She did not.
May was a true force of destructive evil,… and then there are all the bad things she did.

        • I hope that isn’t a racist or sexist remark. Of course it isn’t, because she is white and we are not so precious. May was not treated any differently because she was a woman.

      • Hi pdm. I must admit I agonised long and hard about whether Quisling May was as bad as Brown or not. But I think May has trumped Brown’s utter mediocrity because not only has she been a liar a traitor and a failure, but it seems she has destroyed her own party to a far greater extent than Brown did.

It is a line call, but seldom has a political party (with the possible exception of National installing Soimon) got the selection of leader so incredibly wrong for the country. There is a terrible clarity now available in hindsight with:
        – May keeping such a low profile on her previously vociferous position as a Remoaner during the lead up to the June 2016 vote (almost as if she was positioned as an in extremis fallback option)
        – May’s miraculous rise to PM, sweeping past Boris and the suspiciously instantaneous way Cameron stepped aside so much faster than anyone would have expected an honourable and professional PM to do (almost as if he did it before other Brexiteer leadership candidates could firm up their support base and so give May every chance of stepping up to the plate)
        – May’s discounting the ‘no deal’ option so early in the negotiation process (one’s position is weakened to the point of surrender if the other party knows you can’t just walk away) – almost as if she was actively working to strengthen the EU’s position at the expense of the UK’s
        – May’s utter naivity in thinking that the public weren’t on to her vacilating, equivocating and hoping to shore up her support in a general election before she was fully found out in her betrayal of the nation and democracy
I suspect if May had pulled off the Clayton’s Brexit she hankered for (one where the UK was tied the EU as a second tier vassal state paying a huge tithe while having negligible influence) that it wouldn’t have taken long for her to get a nice little Brussels role as kickback for her betrayal.

And then the bitch has the temerity to pull a “poor me” routine tearing up on the steps of No10! Fuck her and the horse she rode in on.

    • Teresa could make a Captain’s Call like Cindy and tell the UK public that she has, as her final decision as PM, cancelled the UK’s membership of the EU as of today and all withdrawal commitments and any payments are null and void.

  3. From my uneducated view of Brexit it seems to me it was more about trade back in early 70’s when they joined the EU, and they became a dumping ground for EU “refugees” from f*cked up countries and a huge bank full of cash to plunder. The Norwegians and the Swiss were wise to keep out of the EU.

  4. I think Teresa May’s Brexit deal was just to complicated.
She shodl have said we are leaving (next week). No payments. But we would like to do some free trade deals.

    • She never intended to leave and has been stalling all along eg. the unnecessary election 2 years ago; the obfuscation; presenting the same same rejected deal multiple times; calling votes just before the many many holidays these part timers have.
She was working for the EU to keep Britain in the EU.
Britain is the only long term net contributor to the EU apart from Germany and it is Germany’s baby with France the pre pubescent, high maintenance child.
Germany will have to fund the whole lot if Britain leave- even though it is their project.

  5. There was a very good interview with Alfred Ngaro on the Newshub Nation this morning. I tend to think he will stay as a National MP.

    • A few conservative National MPs are thinking of starting a conservative policy advisory group. Hopefully, Alfred may be persuaded to join this and maybe National can do a deal with the New Conservatives.

  6. I’ve just been to the sad site formerly known as Kiwiblog.
Stoopid posts by a Brown snake – multiple; Stiffibot- multiple -as usual; the politically blind and inept Wayne Mapp; and mikenmild-multiple.
Farrar is too weak to send them packing and drop the quantity but raise the quality of his blog.
Much like his Blood Brother Bridges.

    Meanwhile YSB picks up steam.

Sadly Farrar’s extreme TDS has made him a political has-been and his blog has followed.
For a political pundit he was wrong over Brexit, wrong over Trump, and wrong over AU 2019.
I seem to recall he was a sycophant of that dreadful Labor-leaning TurnBull.
He is essentially no better than a busy housewife from Murchison in picking political events now.

Watching his sad site, only occasionally, it is like watching Slim Pickens ride the Atom bomb down in Dr Strangelove.
Given his emotional approach rather than logical, the hours to get a message posted, and his blind, destructive (for Nats) support for a pathetic Soyman Bridges I am more sure than ever that he, as well as his blog, is transitioning.

His emotional over-reaction to the Christchurch event, which was a black swan event committed by a foreign national, underscores his out of touch status.
He is sadly reflective of the National Party in 2019.

    • Who do you suggest replaces Bridges? With Collins support for the knee-jerk firearm legislation and her attack on Seymour instead of Golly Gee National would drop further in the polls.

      • Sadly Chuck I don’t think National have natural leader.
I am thinking of starting a new Christian party.Seems to be the trend.
Maybe ummm , The Life of Brian Party. Reckon I’d pull 2%.

        • If National have a leader in the wings it is Mark Mitchell. Fully fledged Godbotherer & social conservative by all accounts too.

Not my cup of tea but just the bloke to wipe the tears from the eyes of the control freaks who want to run our personal lives.

          0

          0

          • I think you are right about Mitchell but he will not challenge before the election. The odds are against a National win in 2020. If National loses I think Mitchell is likely to be the new leader.

        • I’m take that for dollar oh wise one.
Can Stan/Loretta be the Minister(ess) for transgenderism?
Can Biggus Dickus be Minister in charge of Kiwibuild.

Until Mark Mitchell can stop sounding like a cop reading from a notebook in court then not a serious contender.
The talent pool in Nat-ville is as thin as the chance of finding a virgin over 13 in Murupara

      • Changing the leader will not help them. It only worked for Labour because they had Jacinda full of youth and vitality to get the young voters on side. Youse Nats are so old fuddy dudddys that nothing is going to help youse.

        0

        • So Labour is the pig and Jacinda the lipstick? Because nothing else changed. I thought she was supposed to be doing marvellously and the the 15 March happened and she was doing even better and was a shoe in, for everything, according to the media.

Since she is a shoe in already, can she please stop trying, it is exhausting.

  7. Theresa May was the daughter of C of E clergyman.

There is a thing with the children of vicars/clergy.
They sanctimoniously over-ride others peoples P.O.V. because they think they are correct.
They do not typically follow the path of democracy.
They are poor listeners as they grew up seeing their parent trumpet one way diktats from the pulpit.
    Examples:-
    David Cunliffe; Theresa May; Angela Merkel; Joh Bjelke-Petersen;
Fat Guts Lange was so sure of his own smart-arseness he became a Methodist lay preacher.

They have that ‘I’m always right’ sanctimony down to a tee.

  8. I’m hearing and reading about Arderns pre budget speech. Looks like it’s gone down like a cup of cold sick.

Pardon the pun but she can talk the head off a horse but has no substance. People attending were left bewildered and no better off understanding her aims.

I figure the mention of Kiwi Build to her will now result in a spew of verbal gobbledygook. A touchy subject that eventually will result in another scalp for National.

    • This was not a race based issue so why refer to her ancestry as Te Arawa and Tainui? No mention of Mr MacPherson’s ancestry as being Scottish or English. Both are irrelevant.

  9. A Catholic priest is walking down the street when suddenly a sweating, greasy Turk accosts him.”Pictures of little boys.” says the Turk.

“Go away, I’m not interested.” says the priest.

The Turk is persistent. “Go on – pictures of leetle boyssss!!!” he leers.

“I’m a man of God – go away!” yells the priest.

“Last chance – pictures of leetle boys!!!!!” sneers the Turk.

“Oh okay then,” sighs the priest, “how many do you want?”
