      • It is brilliant – thank you.
“The coronavirus – no doubt astonished by the decisiveness and ferocity of prime minister Jacinda Ardern, the heroine of all media – just decided not to make this wonderful country a home.”

“New Zealand looks and feels like paradise.
Sadly, thanks to brutal and deeply incompetent political leadership, that paradise is lost, lost to the superstitions of the COVID faith that power, police, and adoring news coverage can scare a pathogen to go away and stay away. ”
        etc.

      • The smugness in Ardern’s success of New Zealand being a world leader, showing the world the way, punching above our weight, and our “nuclear moment”, is well punctured.

        Including that short twitter video.
Police are at New Lynn Countdown after people ripped the doors open when security tried to control the amount of people rushing in.
That woman is saying she needs food for her kid.
        This ain’t it Auckland.

Those people do not believe Ardern, when they surged to the supermarkets.
I guess she has learnt from Hilary Clinton, not to call that “deplorable”.
But show enough “kindness” money to win the election.

  1. I visited a liquor shop yesterday and had to sign in with name, time and phone number etc, I do not remember this during level 2 last time maybe I have just forgotten. Great way of controlling the masses you bitch(photo above) and your friend from the health department who knew there was another lot of covid coming just before the elections ( funny that) you your mate Ashley and your departments are so absolutely incompetent. Needless to say it was not my usual name number etc at all. Then went to the supermarket and had to line up again just like communist Russia and the Eastern bloc countries people in the 50s through to late 80s the people were mass shopping the lines outside were. very long, I couldn’t believe there were so many people bulk buying. They certainly have people very frightened about tomorrow and their future. Mental health issues will fly through the roof, all the elective and non elective surgery lists will be waiting a long time now. And we are supposed to believe its for 4 people in Auckland. FFS

    • I was Barry Manilow in the pub last night. I find it hilarious that you must be seated and served but when you go up to pay you end up milling around with about 20 people and then eventually pay the barmaid who wasn’t allowed to serve you. Only a complete cretin could come up with this.

    • How is Bloomfield still in that role? He has been found out lying on the availability of PPE, flu vaccines and testing levels not to mention the non testing of border and quarantine workers which makes his continual presence as DG Health untenable.

        • The Saint Ashley of lockdown and cindy show.
They are like a typical NZ comedy duo, both are shit!
You just know they are lying thru their teeth.
Maybe they could turn it into a better show by sawing the dumby in half or get her to quack like a duck!

      • Bloomfield the baby killer.

        81 dead babies in Samoa.
        Thanks Cinders and Ash.

Since Bloomfailed took over in July 2018 the MOH has been a walking disaster.
Staggering disaster might be bedda description.

The Meningitis outbreak. I’m always weary of that. A friend from school in her first year nursing died from that. It moves bloody fast.
Then the measles outbreak and gigantic cockup in handling it.
So one cannot expect this lying fool to handle Covid with any competence.
A career bureaucrat who spent time at W.H.O.

        A box ticker and storyteller.
In Samoa they called R L Stevenson ‘Tusitala’ – story teller
I guess in Samoa today they would just call Ashes ‘arsehole’.

I was meant to get the MMR vaccine in Dec 2018.
        Then it was ‘not there’
Called in again in January 2019 but it had not arrived.
It took 10 weeks and 5 phone calls to get it.
Anything pinocchio Bloomfailed touches is a cock up.
        Then he lies about it.

  2. In one small study, the new coronavirus has been detected in semen in a quarter of patients during active infection and in a bit less than 10% of patients who apparently recovered. In this study, viral RNA was what was detected, and it is not yet known if this RNA was from still infectious or dead virus in the semen; and if alive whether the virus can be sexually transmitted. So many important questions remain unanswered.

    https://theconversation.com/does-coronavirus-linger-in-the-body-what-we-know-about-how-viruses-in-general-hang-on-in-the-brain-and-testicles-142878?fbclid=IwAR3ChsMFv9e7giQjH2uARXsIH7Y1TW5Xw9Hoi0jRVlaNy7jznjWeNtwrPkM

Thought that this was a good article to read as it explains the behavoir of different viruses in the body. Seemed to be good info to me. I have had polymyalgia for some time and it attacks the body in this way. It’s bloody debilitating and there isn’t any cure as such. It is very prevalent in older people, especially if they have flu injections, as I did once.

IMHO a read worth the time.

    • One does wonder, how like child hood chicken pox virus, can come out again decades later, and in old age, that can create 2ndary problems that will take you out.
It is a lot more of a problem in the community.
One is just expected to get through, get over it, or just live with it.
But at least you had “herd immunity” to chicken pox.

It comes out of hiding and really affects nerves.
Shingles for many is minor, just a painful irritant, just needing time, to come right.
For others there can be months and even years of it and managing the pain, is absolute frustration, tiring & draining, a form of post herpes neuralgia.
Certain nerves like stomach nerves, eye nerves can be affected, ear nerves and damage to eyesight with 2ndary infections, and such can be permanent. Fortunately not so common.

So I do wonder when some say just like a flue virus, but who really knows, as we are all in this “petri dish”.

The real problem is the over reaching of the medics, and researchers, with modelers, and running with politicians, that are seeking power & control as well.

  4. The Hosk is beating up on Saint Ashley of the Lockdown.

As I said to Mrs Saggy last night, why do the testing stations close down at 1600, and not 24/7. FS,

    15

    0

    • Why have testing stations at all? Their only purpose seems to be to spread alarm and despondency. If you need to take a test to find out if you have the virus then you are probably not very sick and in any case since you can’t go to the chemist and buy a course of HCQ and zinc to fix it so what’s the point?

  5. “Trashley” Bloomfield, otherwise known as “King Cnut of the Coronas”, is a prize-winning deluded bullshit artist who pretends to be able to control virus if only we all obey his diktats.

He also believes the difference in medical outcomes for Maori are due to the NZ health sector being full of wrasists and Trashley stated so to the government last year. Of course Trashley failed to name any racists and as far as I know has never ever ever made a complaint to the medical council about any wrasists so I guess Trashley is just an arrogant lefty shite sucking up for money and power.

  6. Countdown has implemented rationing including a limit on 6 bottles of wine. “We wanted to do our bit for community responsibility. Some people were drinking all day.”

They are a supermarket, nothing more.

    20

      • I take it you mean drinking all day? I got two bottles of whiskey yesterday, thank good Ess I did not get any more I might have had the police or army coming in to remove a few as its bad for me incase I decide to drink all day. FFS we are living in a communist state that is how the Russians got through the Communist times. They even made their own vodka if they couldn’t afford it.
Anyone got a good recipe for Lemoncello? I have lots of lemons going to waste and thought I’d make some.

        10

        0

        • There will be recipes on the internet. Italians brew their own alcohol but it works to combine vodka and lemon zest, leave to infuse.

If you make Lemoncello don’t do what hubby did and include the white part of the peel, just the zest!! I came home one day to find that big mistake. We left it to infuse but had to throw it all out. 😏

Anyway I called in after 5 to local CD (place fairly deserted) and the lovely checkout person informed me they are not allowed to pack groceries into our bags. That’s why I go there. Idiots. I will go to the Pak n Slave across the road in future, since I now have to pack my own.

  7. Tractor training academy seeks to fill COVID-19 labour shortage
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/rural/2020/08/tractor-training-academy-seeks-to-fill-covid-19-labour-shortage.html

The five-day courses run by Ag Drive near Cambridge are being supported by the Ministry of Social Development.

Ag Drive’s Ben Harris said the department was funding the courses for those who had lost their jobs due to COVID-19 – as well as people on a benefit – as a way of getting more New Zealand workers into the agricultural sector.

There was a looming shortage of rural contract workers for the upcoming season because of the border being closed, Harris said.

  8. It’s official, the research proves it, the experts say socialists are mentally ill

Not that any rational person needs to see research to know this, but the research shows socialists are mentally ill (suffering from borderline personality disorder, paranoia, depression etc).

And get this, socialists are getting more insane over the decades, they are getting more and more bonkers!

So why are conservatives so much saner than libtards? Once again, no surprises here, good mental health is associated with stable families, marriage, conservatism, cultural pride and religion. Basically everything that the CoL hate.

The research about socialists is definitive
We have to listen to the experts on socialists’ mental illness.
Socialists are not fit to govern.

You associated good mental health with religion!

      • I’m not a god botherer, but some of the sanest, most decent people I know are church goers. They don’t let their religion define them, they are able to make responsible, value-based decision – they belong to a community that is stable, loving and supportive and they go out of their way to help others and they’re not Labour acolytes.

My long-standing core socialist principles come into play and I believe in what socialism USED TO stand for. I believe in equality of opportunity, I believe in not discriminating against ANYONE for their colour, their religious beliefs, their sexual persuasion (basically the opposite to modern progressive socialists – Prozis). I believe in the value of work and labour (not not Labour). I believe there is a place for a social contract and for EVERYONE to pay their way. I believe if you abuse the social contract then you get the arse card. I believe welfare should be there for a hand-up and not a hand-out. In my youth I was considered a bit of an extreme socialist. My views have not changed one bit – and magically I’m an alt-right, extremist. What a funny world.

But to deny the strong sense of community and stability that religion offers to many people is, well, it’s a bit wrong-headed (and dare I say it – it’s starting to sound a bit like your average loony lefty).

But of course, thank you for commenting and providing an opportunity for me to go down that rabbit hole. Plus of course, I treasure a platform that allows consenting adults to engage in consensual, civilised disagreement (thank you Ed).

  9. Ardern said Cabinet continued to have the right to govern.

“Caretaker provisions, or the idea of caretaker provisions in New Zealand, actually only apply after an election has taken place,” she said.

The only portion of the caretaker convention that applies in the run-up to the election requires the Government to consult political parties on only government appointments and advertising, in the three months before an election. There is no consultation requirement in a pre-election period.

“I will continue to keep the Opposition informed. I will continue to let them know because this is a significant health issue, just as I did with Simon Bridges when he was in the role,” Ardern said.

    https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/122426251/coronavirus-jacinda-ardern-pushes-on-judith-collins-demands-for-election-delay

The bag in charge is behaving badly.

    16

    • I think the PM is technically correct but ethically wrong. The provisions, in my view were not developed with a pandemic in mind nor the reality of shutting down business and society to the extent we now face.

The discourtesy inherent in notifying the Leader of the Opposition, Judith Collins, just 40 minutes or so before a level change shutting down business for a third of the population and also affecting the whole country is not acceptable behaviour in my observation.

That is not responsible or adequate handling of the situation.

Fair enough for Judith Collins to question the issue.

      21

      0

    • Seems like the dream scenario, use Covid alerts on isolated cases to keep the country in a permanent pre-election state, gives the Dictator Covid Cindy unlimited powers in perpetuity. So we will have a government that can’t keep an isolated country isolated and has failed in every single one of their major 2017 election promises with unlimited powers forever.

How long can they keep this going? A month? A quarter? Half a year? 20 years?

Socialists think of democracy as a bus, something they’ll ride until they get to their destination – the usual destination being the point where you can dispense with democracy and bring in the great Marxist totalitarian nirvana.

Only three years to get here – she must have had a lot of help from her friends in the CCP and Soros organisations!

  10. So, because four people have the virus, level 3 has been imposed-upon NZ’s biggest city, small businesses have been immediately shut-down , the Army is now involved and the rest of the country is now on level 2, with the very distinct likelihood that level 4 will be declared on saturday for the entire nation.

    For FOUR (!) people!

And, yet, despite NZ now being effectively under martial law and in the thrall of a communist dictatorship the NZMSM say and do absolutely NOTHING, and stuff bleats-on about being short of money and states that it is the epitome of ‘trusted journalism’.

On the basis of the above is it wrong to be just a tad-sceptical about the lofty aims of the appointed PM and the impartiality of the NZ media?

    Asking for a friend.

    Thank you.

    • I’m not sure about that, looking at Mike Hosking’s posts, most of the comments are very angry at Covid Cindy. There is of course the occasional Covid Karen or Covid Aroha who comes on and asks how much the National party pay Mike – but mostly they get drowned out by the disgusted, disappointed ordinary, decent people.

It could be that the Hosk attracts saner types, but FB and Twitter have been purging anyone who sounds slightly righty unless they provide some identifying info so that the Stasi can hunt them down and send them to a Gulag.

Let’s hope Covid Cindy has overplayed her hand – God knows they fuck everything else up so why wouldn’t they fuck up the Covid Crisis?

  12. “Without it, we have a one-party state where ‘dear leader’ can’t be wrong.”

Duncan Garner: Today is D-Day – the day we will know how serious this COVID outbreak really is
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2020/08/duncan-garner-today-is-d-day-the-day-we-will-know-how-serious-this-covid-outbreak-really-is.html

And while some of you are asking, “Is this really necessary?”, National is asking, “How long has the Government suspected there was a problem?”

Now as much as politics should be divorced from this fight – when you’re in Opposition, you have one job – to question, to probe and keep the Government accountable. It’s crucial.

Without it, we have a one-party state where ‘dear leader’ can’t be wrong.

    • There has been much pre-planning for this. OIAs to the Police and other enforcement arms of government will show that there has been much “precautionary” planning for this – as Kea has noted the Yanks have been as good as giving their citizens travel advisory notices that NZ is going in to lockdown. Rumour has it that mid-late last week it was known that the cops were preparing for a lockdown this week. Were the cops just really, really, really intuitive (hard to believe when they can’t do anything else other than man speed cameras successfully), or were they pre-knowledged? Given the rumours that are currently swirling around who is filling Cindy’s bony ‘void’ now that Clarke has found true love with the nanny – we should be concerned.

Look at the US and how the security agencies were perverted to achieve (nearly) a political coup. Why wouldn’t the same happen here? We are much less regulated, much less scrutinised, much more corruptable, much more naive. If it can happen there under an extremist left wing President – why can’t the same happen in quaint, nice-but-dim, New Zealand?

      13

      • Once again DP your views are much appreciated.
I look at what is happening in Melbourne at present
        and it is scary.
I suspect Ardern is going to roll out the same measures here.
Next week, I fully expect NZ to become a complete police state.

Cops entering homes, military on patrol and enforcement of mask wearing
and the issuing of contact tracing cards. I really hope am wrong, but
this commie bitch is deranged and dangerous and wants to stay in power.
This is dictatorial politics, not health.

  13. An open letter to Dr Fauci.

Please read this and share it with your friends and colleagues. As New Zealand faces yet more business wrecking Covid Hysteria from the headless chickens masquerading as our government should we not be exploring every avenue for treating this rather benign virus from which 99.7% of those infected recover? It is clear that lockdowns and face masks do not work and cause other problems that will likely prove more injurious to public health in the long run than the virus itself. New Zealand is suffering a serious dearth of real leadership in this matter and we are being very badly served by our elected representatives who seem more intent on destroying the country than anything else.

  16. Listened to a NZ born “expert” living in Melbourne this morning on Hosking’s show talking about contact tracing. He explained how the Aussie app is hopeless and the NZ one is a bit better. Then he went on to say the Korean app was great and they had a good system.
We knew the Korean app was great back in MARCH. Why the hell is everyone reinventing the wheel ? They are throwing money around like confetti so why wasn’t the Korean app bought in March or get a license for it’s use or any other commercial arrangement used?
These idiots in Wellington have no clue. Hosking had to give Bloomfield a wake up call, when after we all knew there were long queues in Auckland waiting to get a test yesterday , by simply saying why is testing availability not 24/7? The testing stations closed at 4.00 or 5.00 o’clock. They are on Glide Time.

    – Watch satellite TV for news in Japan
    – Take a long bicycle ride for exercise (at least an hour)
    – Eat leftovers for lunch
    – Park up on YSB for some afternoon entertainment
    – Go shopping for pizza materials (chorizo sausage, bacon, grated 500 g mozzarella cheese)
    – Check stocks of cheap Australian Merlot and Shiraz
    – Set Panasonic breadmaker at 5:30 p.m. to make pizza dough

    • Alternate very quick pizza base or flatbread

      1c Self raising flour
heaped dsp spoonful of greek yoghurt
      1/2 tsp salt
      less than 1/2c water

Mix to soft dough, roll out.
Cook in oiled frying pan with lid. Comes out crispy on one side and fluffy on the top. Presumably you could cook it in oven but I haven’t tried that.

  18. Here’s a question-
If Saint Jacinda with her glowing halo were to stand on her podium ( Disciple Ashley at side as always..) and tell New Zealanders we are all going to be provided buckets of Kool Aid so we can commit mass suicide in her honour…
How many Labour voters would finally wake up to this evil megalomaniac?
And how many would follow Dear Leader’s orders?
I actually think most of her followers would do it- I have never seen a Cult of Personality like it in this part of the World..

FWIW: Possibly the last such ‘cult’ as you describe in NZ would have been that of Mickey Savage in the 1930’s – most noticeably amongst women. (which is a subject in itself), while before that the only one that comes to mind would have been of R J (King Dick) Seddon in the late 1890’s – early 1900’s.

Kiwi’s don’t tend to do ‘adoration’ very well – or for very long…(So there is hope for us yet)

  22. A truckie just phoned into Magic Talk. He and his truck along with all the other delivery trucks coming out of Auckland yesterday were held up for over an hour in the queue because Auckland Transport didn’t think to give the truckies their own motorway lane to bypass the police checkpoint. As the line of vehicles reached the top of the hill a billboard of Cindy appeared in front of him with “Lets keep moving” 🤡🤡🤡

      10

      • Yeah, cause Auckland Transport and the police believe Aucklanders would flee the city in their 50 ton container trucks. How do these incompetents get their jobs.

Meanwhile the truckies lose over an hour in their schedule to deliver essential stock around the country. The ferry won’t wait if they miss their sailing. Not to mention the cops not taking any excuses from truck drivers breaching the hours they are legally allowed to drive.

        • Coronavirus: Truckies want fast lanes in and out of Auckland to keep supply chains intact

The Road Transport Forum, which represents the country’s truckies and freight industry, says delays on freight could leave supermarket shelves bare as people raid them for supplies ahead of what could be a second lengthy lockdown.

In some cases the border checks have added more than a couple of hours to travel between Auckland and Wellington, Leggett said, urging police to wave them through where possible.

“We want to see trucks being moved through much faster than regular traffic so they can meet their delivery obligations. There is always a risk that products – both essential and non-essential products – could be slowed.

This reminds me of the old song from the 1970s

Today in NZ that applies to public servants.

  24. Was reading some stuff when I thought about the devious methods the Labour Party, led by Jacinda use to mesmerise the idiots that follow her I found this:

“Propaganda must always address itself to the broad masses of the people. (…) All propaganda must be presented in a popular form and must fix its intellectual level so as not to be above the heads of the least intellectual of those to whom it is directed. (…) The art of propaganda consists precisely in being able to awaken the imagination of the public through an appeal to their feelings, in finding the appropriate psychological form that will arrest the attention and appeal to the hearts of the national masses. The broad masses of the people are not made up of diplomats or professors of public jurisprudence nor simply of persons who are able to form reasoned judgment in given cases, but a vacillating crowd of human children who are constantly wavering between one idea and another. (…) The great majority of a nation is so feminine in its character and outlook that its thought and conduct are ruled by sentiment rather than by sober reasoning. This sentiment, however, is not complex, but simple and consistent. It is not highly differentiated, but has only the negative and positive notions of love and hatred, right and wrong, truth and falsehood.[5]

As to the methods to be employed, he explains:

Propaganda must not investigate the truth objectively and, in so far as it is favorable to the other side, present it according to the theoretical rules of justice; yet it must present only that aspect of the truth which is favorable to its own side. (…) The receptive powers of the masses are very restricted, and their understanding is feeble. On the other hand, they quickly forget. Such being the case, all effective propaganda must be confined to a few bare essentials and those must be expressed as far as possible in stereotyped formulas. These slogans should be persistently repeated until the very last individual has come to grasp the idea that has been put forward. (…) Every change that is made in the subject of a propagandist message must always emphasize the same conclusion. The leading slogan must, of course, be illustrated in many ways and from several angles, but in the end one must always return to the assertion of the same formula.[5]

For those un aware this is from Mein Kampf…. Copied of Wickipedia. That is why I will not watch the briefings at 1 pm, and turn down those irritating covid announcements, will not get the app, nor wear a mask. It is time to revolt.

    • Some heavy going in that book rol, but being freely exposed, it shows how Hitler, in his own case study, made it work.

He made and effective observation, and to cover it, after the war, the author is said to be ‘mad’.
Yet one can see that he had a great understanding of the “broad masses”, and then how to manoeuvre, herd them to his control.
Here you can read ‘mein kampf’ yet Hitler is ‘alleged’ to be a very bad man.

Another bad man’s manifesto is fully censored in New Zealand.
Only special government agents, can interpret and decipher it and bring an understanding of it to the broad masses, or are they?
Anything to do with the topic, what ever it is, decried and denounced, in its various memes, just as the “mein kampf” author would have wished.

  33. Just listened to a few minutes of Ryan Bridge talking to Hipkins ( could not take much more of listening to Hipkins’ BS). Bridge asked him if the Government was prepared to change tack –change from an elimination strategy to adapting and living with the virus.
Hipkins responded by saying NZ was different to other countries because we had done a lot better, maybe the most successful and we do not need to change direction !!!!! They are in la la land –he is really saying the Govt is happy to have NZ effectively isolated from the rest of the world for several years, if not more.

Someone needs to educate Hipkins so he understands we have not done that well –most of the Pacific Islands have done much better, Queensland has done much better and history we tell us Sweden ( even though by their own admission could have done better with their aged care homes) will have done the best when all factors are considered.

ACT leader David Seymour is shocked the Government is not allowing butchers and greengrocers to interact with customers at alert level 3, having hoped the rules would be changed this time around.

“This is completely insane,” Seymour told Magic Talk. “Setting the rules of the game is one of the key jobs of Government here, and I don’t want to be negative about everything, but there’s so many areas where I just feel that we could do a better job.”

Seymour said it doesn’t make sense for people to cram into supermarkets when they could use other options such as butcheries and greengrocers. It’s an issue he raised in April when he described supermarkets as lockdown’s “Achilles heel”.

“Surely they will have learnt from last time? No. Once again, they’ve locked down your beloved local business so you can drive past it while it goes broke and then go and mix with 50 other people at a supermarket in another suburb.”

  36. James Shaw and Winston Peters hit back at Judith Collins’ calls for election delay
Greens co-leader James Shaw has accused National of calling for the election to be delayed out of concern for their own self-interest, not democracy.
    https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/james-shaw-and-winston-peters-hit-back-judith-collins-calls-election-delay

National leader Judith Collins wants the prime minister to postpone the election until late November, or preferably next year.

Yesterday she said it was impossible to have free and fair elections in the circumstances.

“We are a first-world liberal democracy where people expect to be able to cast their vote and if we can’t think of ways to do it properly then we need to delay the election … if it’s just a postal vote, then no – that’s not good enough”, she said.

However Shaw said Collins’ concerns were purely political.

Nihilism is the belief that all values are baseless and that nothing can be known or communicated. A true nihilist would believe in nothing, have no loyalties, and no purpose other than, perhaps, an impulse to destroy.

When Mount Eden jail was built, all quarried from rock, and then built in 10 years, by the inmates, to start taking prisoners.
Mt Eden’s stone wall, well known to Aucklanders, was built by prisoners using volcanic rock from a neighbouring quarry and completed in the mid 1870s at a cost of £1800.

In 1888 the main building was considered ready to accept its first residents and the final structure was finally completed in 1917.

      • It has been a glorious game so far, in our lives, and now the kids are put in charge.

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government.
It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury.
From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.

        http://www.lorencollins.net/tytler.html
The quote is not that old, approx mid 1950’s.

What form the dictatorship will be? totalitarian? benign? tyranny, communist, theocracy?
The power, will it come to be that all power corrupts, corrupts absolutely.
A belief of no accountability, to anyone or anything.
Such great freedom that is adored by many, that after all, they will be a good person and so all people will/must be good.

This current government seems to want spray money around, no targets, no accountability, no responsibility, so nothing has to show for the money.

Events, events of politics, to ride a wave, like a parade where the kids believe in Santa, when they are able to pick up the lollies as they are sprayed around.

  38. We decided this morning for a change we’d spend the impending lockdown in the Wairarapa which involves a 950km relocation. Hooked the caravan behind the cruiser & hit the road.

First roadblock was a couple of kilometres north of Hana. No waiting, spoke to a decent sort of Maori cop, minimal questions apart from where from & where to & on our way.

Next, as expected at the top of the Bombay Hills. The wait was a bloody disgrace it taking 47 minutes from the bottom of the north side to the top. Checking was being done by the army…….same questions & off we went.

They seemed unarmed but tell Kea I’ll check the vehicles for bullet holes tomorrow morning. 🙂

    One pissed off labour lefty.

I called in to see some friends early evening as we may get annihilation lockdown in 24 hours.
They had a visitor from lefty labour lower Hutt.
She was supposed head back to the Hutt on Tuesday.
She was their bridesmaid way back in the day.

She used public transport —which is pushed so hard.
Caught a bus up to see the country – wanted to pass Mt Ruapehu with the snow, then fly back.
She has an old phone and got no warning.
Being on holiday she never got up until 8.30 am and not rushing only found out about lockdown after 9.00 am, Wed.
No time to organise a trip out with a bus or train or flight.
    Now stuck here in Jafaland
I guess if we are not in level 4 on Sunday I will get to see someone who does not feel any kindness from the Wellington liars.

I can wind her up later. I refrained today. She was delicate (well, seething would be more correct. Good.
    Watch and learn
[today’s learning:- simmer for three hours, then change voting pattern !]

If it is level 4 then she will be stuck for weeks.
    4 for 4. …Level 4 for 4 weeks. and 4 rhymes with more.
