st, Miss Kaipara Harbour 2025, the new Member of Parliament who looks like a P Addict, will no doubt read her speech, albeit in Mouldy, directly from her phone, as she seems to have a habit of this and appears to be a very poor orator.

Can’t wait for Winston Peters or Shane Jones to rip her up for dunny paper in the House, the fragile little Native petal will then go into meltdown and have a monumental sook.

Even the Vatican is struggling to find Saints.

The world is about to get its first-ever millennial saint, as Pope Leo prepares to canonise a London-born teenager nicknamed “God’s influencer.”
Carlo Acutis was 15 when he died from leukaemia in 2006. He was born in London, where his father worked in insurance. When he was four months old, the family moved to Milan.
His mother Antonio Salzano said the family wasn’t especially religious, but Acutis became devoted to the Catholic faith from a young age.
“He would go to mass and do the rosary each day,” she said, saying that her son “could not be indifferent to sorrow”.
We lived in the centre of Milan in a building surrounded by beggars. He wanted to help them, speak to them, bring them food and blankets.”
The teenager built websites to promote the Catholic faith, an act that after his death earned him the nickname “God’s influencer”.

“Carlo was an internet geek, but he had the temperance to use technology for good and was not exploited by it,” said Salzano.
Around the time of his funeral, Acutis started to work miracles, his mother reported. One involved ‘curing’ a Brazilian boy from a rare disease; the other healing a student in Florence. The student’s mother had prayed by Acutis’ tomb.

More practice ROL.

Commonly known as benefit provider day up this way. Often celebrated by giving a box of DB and a 6 pack of Cody’s to the bloke who pops around occasionally and looks vaguely like your children. In keeping with tradition he will then drink the lot, start an argument and then give you the bash.

It’s a cultural thing. Over the five years I worked as part time bouncer at the local I had ample opportunity to observe the native female in heat. The courtship ritual starts with the consumption of vast amounts of Tui Pale Ale, followed by picking arguments with the chosen male. The ever increasing volume of the abuse signals the male to land a couple of wild punches to the females head whereupon they’re ejected from the public bar.

In the next stage they stagger off to consummate the union. Details of the act are sketchy as no-one has ever wanted to witness the sight.

Flightlessbirdblog has an article quoting a poll done on behalf of the Taxpayers Union to gauge support for a ‘rates cap law’ to rein in council spending. Not surprisingly the suggestion is favoured by right wing voters while the left are reluctant to get out of ratepayers wallets.

Overall 64% in favour & only 22% against. DPF sensibly suggests that the coalition pass the legislation immediately.

theres suggestion theyre gunna propose a rates cap only to discretionary spending and allow open slather an rates increases for core council duties/infrastructure.
if that happens then nothing will change, theyll just rack up debt to pay for the capped woke stuff and then keep increasing rates to pay for the infrastructure they shouldve been dealing to for the past 30yrs.

Iaasb, you are right,
To be a placation, a ‘shell game’ in & hiding a bait & switch.

Will there be a cap on debt,? and in what guise?
No not credit rating AAA or whatever.

Over a decade ago,our local council for a number of years, kept our rural rates down, and the roads were graded & pot holes filled.
Every one happy as a Viking.
Some of us wised up, & achived full halls in some places, where that mayor & CEO were proved to be idiots publicaly in key voting areas.

It is when some figured that interest payments were rapidly going up, & the talk of rates going up in major % on our properties.
So questioned what was causing that, then seeing the sums millions of dollars borrowed for road maintance. Became an ahaa moment.
Seeing that bait & switch while the main town had the improvements with no rate increases.
All that changed.
Mayor lost that election, many more business-wise Councillors and the CEO gained a golden hand-shake.
Leaving us as the highest indebted Council for a number of years.

Now the debt level is well improved, and the water & sewerage upgrades seem to be all done.
Quietly kept maori seats at bay, by just having meetings with maori iwi leaders now & again, so no more than the cost of a cuppa of tea & some pastries & sandwiches.

The scary thing is noting the candidates, supposedly to be younger, diverse & vibrant, (inexperienced); of university education (indoctrinated); female, (soft touch of empathy); manager of something with government funding or NGO (not with their money)

Whilst in the meantime Wellington finds ways of imposing costs on to the local councils through mandatory legislation & for a council to be in compliance or it will be hit with major fines, done through the Judiciary.

A real good change would be getting all tenants to pay the rates ! like as done with commercial tenants.

I have seen where with lease on maori land, & the council points the previous unpaid rqtes which can be eye watering.
One of the reasons to not have maori council seats.

Well, you did well with the first attempt, but unfortunately not with the second.

Our previous councils have done exactly what you described and as well also propped up all the infrastructure needed to support the port whilst receiving none of the income.
They built 2 Bridges and 2 motorways using council facilities re re-borrowing and tolls without the funding of NZTA or its previous iterations, so left the fastest growing city in the country with a huge burden and lots of give me now attitudes wanting more facilities.
The along came 10b and his mates and set up an agenda that the commissioners stomped in place with deals that were less than ideal.
Talking to them was an exercise in futility. Ask anyone who did. The program was essentially in place.
(There’s a historical explanation for that between Tainui and the locals and utu, etc. )

While that has pissed off a lot of people and fairly so, the job of the Mayor and council is to plan forward despite they may well have liked to have put a stop to some things. The problem is that there are always deals within deals, and we never know what influence another local group of people has. Tradeoffs if you like.
There’s lots happening that you don’t even hear about, and there’s plenty who have been on the pig’s back here, paid for by very few ratepayers, and that is both commercial and residential.
Like you said, if the tenants had to pay the rates, then they might stop whinging and always wanting more.
Just as those who use the boat ramps but contribute nothing to the rate account should have to pay. But that went down like a cup of cold sick, but it needs to happen, just as amalgamating the country with the city does.

Its a big beast, TCC, and is slowly coming under control. The thing that gets me is that TCC has yearly plans, and the only people who bother to read them are those who want funding, i.e. until it affects them in some other way. Then they all whinge and complain.

Our waters are all good, and that’s the way it should be.
Those who disagree with everything never made it to council, and won’t next time.

Also agree with SB. The govt are playing us for fools with the appointments that were made.
Not sure about other Councils but in Wellington it is the Council staff who are the real problem. They are the ones who are pushing the leftie/green agenda. The Council generally are just rubber stamping the decisions. This is because most of them or those in the majority (Labour and Greens) have very little real world experience, so do not question anything.
An example –they are putting a sludge processing plant onto the city sewage plant at cost of $400 million. It was recently announced that costs had blown out by $80 million and one of the reasons was the commissioning costs had gone from $2.5 million to $25 million. The Commissioning cost should be the easiest part of any project to cost accurately. But it appears no one questioned that. To me it is clearly covering something else up.

Naomi Wolf exposes shocking revelations from Pfizer’s internal documents: Just one month into the vaccine rollout in November 2020, Pfizer knew their COVID shot failed to stop the virus—making every mandate, job loss, business closure, school shutdown, military compulsion, and suppression of freedoms that followed a complete lie.

The most common “side effect”? Getting COVID itself. Pfizer also lied about the injection staying in the deltoid muscle. Instead, the mRNA, spike protein, and lipid nanoparticles (including petroleum-derived polyethylene glycol) biodistribute within 48 hours, crossing the blood-brain barrier and accumulating in the liver, adrenals, spleen, lymphatic system—and in women’s ovaries.

No mechanism was found for clearing this industrial fat from the body, leading to blocked ovaries and severe reproductive damage after boosters. Anticipating a flood of harm, Pfizer hired 2,400 full-time staff to process adverse event reports. From November 2020 to February 2021 alone, they tallied over 42,000 serious adverse events, with victims suffering multiple issues.

Top side effects: myalgia (chronic muscle pain), joint pain (inflammation causing arthritis-like symptoms, leading to surges in knee/hip/shoulder replacements even in young people), and COVID. Then came catastrophic harms: heart damage (myocarditis, pericarditis, aortic issues), blood clots (thrombocytopenia, lung/leg clots), neurological devastation (stripping myelin sheaths causing tremors, Guillain-Barré, seizures, dementia), autoimmune disorders, eye damage (blindness), miscarriages, and 1,200 deaths—not random, but with suspected causality, as half of liver issues, strokes, and deaths occurred within 48 hours of injection.

By April 2021, Pfizer knew 35 minors had sustained heart damage, yet the FDA, CDC, Dr. Walensky, Dr. Fauci, HHS, and even the White House were alerted via Israeli Ministry of Health warnings and internal comms (FOIA’d records show discussions reaching POTUS-level staff). Instead of halting and warning parents, they orchestrated a cover-up: a fully redacted 17-page script to spin the narrative, plus a TikTok influencer campaign pushing shots on kids—knowing it could cause deadly myocarditis in healthy young people.

As Wolf states, this is industrial-scale deception and harm. Senator Ron Johnson is now using these findings to unredact docs and hold hearings. The truth is out: They knew. We must demand accountability.

Leftist attempts to mangle the English language with their insane goals of inclusiveness & non offence are backfiring. Even the Yank organisation “Third Way” which is dedicated to getting rid of Trump’s MAGA has had an epiphany:

#. “For a party that spends billions of dollars trying to find the perfect language to connect to voters, Democrats and their allies use an awful lot of words and phrases no ordinary person would ever dream of saying. The intent of this language is to include, broaden, empathize, accept, and embrace.”

BUT

#. “The effect of this language is to sound like the extreme, divisive, elitist, and obfuscatory, enforcers of wokeness. To please the few, we have alienated the many—especially on culture issues, where our language sounds superior, haughty and arrogant.”

Surely not! ///// Does this mean the end of “birthing persons”, “chest feeding”, “privilege” & “microaggressions”? Will “people who have immigrated” no longer be unhoused” & “suffer from “food insecurity”?

Maybe those of us who got through the “cultural revolution” with our senses more or less intact can reclaim the vernacular.

A British cardiologist has set the cat among the pigeons. Aseem Malhotra who is on record as saying,‘The harm caused by the Covid vaccine has been catastrophic’ has done it again. While speaking at Reform UK’s conference he claimed Covid vaccines “could be linked to the King and Princess of Wales’ cancer”.
From https://uk.news.yahoo.com/claims-reform-conference-vaccines-gave-165900450.html :

#. “Dr Malhotra, who described himself as a friend of controversial US health secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr, said hundreds of studies showed the harms of mRNA vaccines.”

“. “He went on to say that he agreed with another doctor that “it’s highly likely that the COVID vaccines have been a factor, a significant factor, in the cancer of members of the royal family.”

The issue is not going to go away however much the WEF, the UN & their lackeys wish it to be so.

A business that my engineer son produces parts for has exported to the USA for years.
When they went to send the next lot this last week, oh ho here is the trade barrier.

At noon on Friday, he was asked about the origin of the steel used in the manufacture of these small parts. He needed to give them the answer asap.
He was able to (Korea, as it happens).

Why, what is this about? .
Protectionism of the US Steel industry. So different tariffs for steel made in different countries.

Soon, they will be wanting to know where your paper wrap was made, or all manner of other crap.

Every bureaucracy can be built around every politician.

Correction, they have changed some of the emission standards and attempted to remove them all.

…..”Cats, Cummings, John Deere and others will not be able to be used in NZ”……

Caterpillar have given up on truck engines but if Cummins ditch the markets that have gone off half cocked on emissions then the trucking industry in NZ & Australia is in deep shit.

Cummins have the market sewn up when it comes to logging in NZ & road trains in Aus.

And shipping and boats of all sizes.
America now is the biggest oil producer in the world.
2 out of every 5 barrels produced.

Bigger than Saudi Arabia, Iran or Russia, so it is driving the price down.
Oil is also behind the Venezuela thing, along with drugs.

America has attempted to remove Germany’s supply from Russia so it can supply Germany.

Here is what I found.

  • A new draft plan is reportedly going to unwind the EPA’s ruling that greenhouse gases are a public health issue.
  • If passed, the federal agency’s ability to enforce restrictions on automakers could be limited in the future.
  • The plan would overturn official EPA policy that has been in place since 2009.

A newly drafted plan from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), said to be days away from going public, aims to strip the agency’s ability to limit greenhouse gases. According to reporting from the New York Times, the draft proposal rescinds a 2009 declaration that carbon dioxide and methane emissions are hazardous to public health.
If verified and passed, such a proposal presents further headwinds to EV adoption and also removes limits on tailpipe emissions. The ruling would also affect industrial pollution, but as far as the automotive industry is concerned, it would remove carbon emission limitations as a target for automakers.
With fines for CAFE (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) violations largely eliminated and federal rebates for EV purchases gone, this new change could continue to change the course of domestic car manufacturing. Long-term, such a change would limit the EPA’s authority to enforce rules aimed at limiting climate change.

Doubt it. The Yanks are very big on any interference that involves intellectual property.

Unless of course they’re outsourcing the same tech & giving it to China. That’s considered to be a shrewd business practise.

they got prosecuted by EPA or similar, not the manufacturer.
their modifications and deletes from the ecu ment the engines last longer, perform better but in turn also breached the emission standards and thats what they were charged for.

After watching the Kings Guards horses on parade in the guard boxes at Buckingham Palace, on U Tube. I would have to say the worst tourists are the Orthodox Jews with the round skull cap and the dregs with maggots in them and little spindly legs in stockings, or in black trousers and coats are the most ignorant cunts, young or old are just cunts.
