  1. Not long now, the scamdemic story is beginning to crumble

Thank fucking God for Sky Australia, they are (as far as I can tell) one of the last vestiges of journalism (along with maybe Spiked in the UK, and a handful of citizen journalists and bloggers).

In Australia, it’s finally coming to light that rational behaviour and proper policy process has not been followed in Victoria (and probably the rest of the Australian civil service). A very senior Victorian Treasury official has been forced to resign because he refused to take down social media posts that rationally opposed the policy position taken by the Victorian government.

Alan Jones on Sky explains. It looks like there is a conspiracy within the Victorian Treasury to support the irrational and suicidely destructive lockdown approach.

In NZ there has been a long tradition of Treasury remaining fiercely apolitical in it’s advice. They managed to maintain that hallowed tradition even in the face of evil old Michael Cullen’s vile behaviour throughout his tenure as Minister of Finance in the Clark years. But somehow, it’s been lost right when we needed it most, no government should be able to ramp up the massive multi-generational debt that Covid Cindy has without Treasury putting the brakes on. There was no proper parliamentary process applied, the Cabinet manual fiscal responsibility rules were discounted it was a disgrace. And the Secretary of Treasury should have refused to do so or resigned. But no, somehow we find ourself with an Australian career bureaucrat conveniently parachuted into Treasury just before Covid broke in NZ. And she was no where to be seen throughout the whole shabby praocess – not one dissenting voice. In fact the only thing I recall hearing about Treasury was their despicable failure to turn up for Simon Bridges’ pandemic committee to answer questions about this very issue?

Everything that happens in Victoria is mirrored here:
    – PM refuses to accept responsibility for any failure.
    – PM is desperately keen for every second of time in front of the TV cameras to talk endlessly about mind-bendingly unclear reasons for doing utterly bizarrely irrational removal of public freedoms with no link to why it will help contain the virus
    – evidence free mandating of mask use
    – private security guards in charge of MIQ hotels leading to second wave infections
    – ramping up testing to ridiculous levels to keep the scamdemic story rolling
    – massive coordinately social media campaigns to shout down any dissenting voices
    – signing up furtively to China’s belt and road programme
It’s almost like they’re playing from the same instruction manual. Doubt me? Elect Jacinda and we’ll see curfews here within 6 weeks of Election Day.

    • You are correct DP.
They are taking instructions from the same source..

In Britain Treason May was meant to be in situ.
      BoJo disrupted that.
In AU Shorten was supposed to be in place. but ScoMo disrupted that.
Remember the beady eyed Wellington swamp dweller that picked people other than those two winners and you will see a pattern.
The same beady eyed, swamp dweller, NINO that is outrageously anti-Trump.
How interesting that bald bitch, puppet boy is running hate campaigns in NZ against overseas politicians that are ‘hold-outs’
In a forum one would expect to support these people !!
Johnson is under tremendous pressure now and with a new born he is separated, from these critters know how to operate.

      Yes.
Before Xmas we will see horrendous measures.
Ardoom is busily importing Coronavirus carriers from India.
These people are purchasing negative tests in the corrupt country of India before coming to NZ.
      This is all well planned.
      Nek minute- communidy transmission again.
The official line from corrupt NZ government people – golly gosh, where dod that come from ?? !!

In Early Feb, with all the failures of Liebour, Simon Bridges was getting the upper hand.
That is well and truly gone.
Ardoom will get back in and phase two of our destruction will begin.
And just like 1917 in Russia the fools will start out happy clappy- until the purges begin.

Ardoom and Dirty Dan think they will be rewarded.
      Maybe not.
The lieutenants that knew too much will meet a sticky end.
They are tools playing a game they are not smart enough to understand.
Neither of them is the right tribe.
However if Ardoom’s old mans suggestions of Freemasonry is correct she could be OK.

For us , no fecking way.

      • Fuck me howtis! I thought I was the most cynical person on the planet. I’m a veritable positivity panda compared to you sir/ma’am/gender neutral pronoun of your choice.
But I do think you are right, April/May 2021 we’re going to see the usual seasonal flu dressed up as communidy transmission. This is the genius of the current testing regime where even a sample from a chair leg can be amplified so many times that it can be dressed up as a ‘case’ and translated into a feral, harbinger of granny death – even though there will not be one single molecule of live transmittable Covid present.

But maybe all it’s going to take is three more years for Dictator Cindy and then the yoke will be lifted?
Why does the Tui ad keep coming to mind?

        • I would love to be wrong.
I would like to say ‘cant we all just get along’
But it is not 1954 anymore.
It is thirty years past that, per Orwell

You can remain a ‘positivity panda’ DP but get the spelling correct or it will be an extra two months in the gulag for you, ‘posidividy panda’.

The covid numbers are numbers smumbers and are whatever ‘they’ want to make it.
It is not science just as globby warming was not science.

          Update:
A member of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet – one Komrade Klarkenfuhrer – has spoken up for you and will let that one slide, but only that.

      There is Vimeo.

People like JP Sears and Dave Cullen have created their own direct websites now.
      It will happen more frequently.

Youtube will be the seeding place until a critical mass of followers is established.
On their own sites they can control monetisation – while the likes of Patreon behave.

  4. Missing former North Korean diplomat Jo Song Gil has defected to south – official
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/world/2020/10/missing-former-north-korean-diplomat-jo-song-gil-has-defected-to-south-official.html

South Korean lawmakers and officials raised concerns on Wednesday (local time) about the safety of the teenage daughter of a former senior North Korean diplomat in Italy after news reports that he has settled in South Korea while she was sent back to the North.

Jo Song Gil, who was North Korea’s acting ambassador to Italy, disappeared with his wife after leaving the embassy without notice in November 2018.

The reports triggered concerns among some lawmakers about Jo’s daughter, who according to Italy’s Foreign Ministry, was repatriated to the North at her request after her parents went missing. She is a teenager, but no other details about her were immediately known

  6. Great organisation by Mike Hosking this morning. He gets Sir John Key on for a short time to firstly counter the BS from TV 1 last night on National “contriving” a walk about in Auckland doing it “very poorly”. Then he cleverly introduces the cannabis issue and it allows Sir John to rubbish the idea and say he is voting NO.
On the latter the MSM cannot criticise it because Helen Clarke has been the poster person for the YES vote.

    • IMHO the problem we have with Meth lies at his feet. If he hadn’t of outlawed cannabis and other less harmful drugs like extascy and created a drug vacumn we wouldn’t have the meth problem we have now.
Afraid I’m not a big Key fan except with the oine thing he knows, money and then he managed most things ok. But look at all the other stuff he either reneged on or did an about turn or did actually nothing.

He really was quite a lightweight.

    • Right time for a prediction then. Bearing in mind that perverted over-sampling of loony lefties is at work in concert with systemic under-sampling of righties… here are my predictions (previous CB poll in round brackets, actual numbers by my thinking in [sq ones])
      – (47) Labour 44 [42]
      – (33) National 37 [40]
      – (8) ACT 9 [11]
      – (7) Greens 6 [3]

  7. In all my years I have never seen the media so overtly biased towards Labour ( aka Cindy) as they are at present. The treatment of Judith Collins and National is disgraceful. All political parties ensure supporters turn out for events, but it’s only a crime when the Nats do it. At least TV 3 showed the Labour staffers partner and child on Cindys walk about. Perhaps TV One are trying to skew their poll results as it’s looking favourable to National….or am I too old and cynical?

    • It is Notional pardy inertia that causes that.

They should have flogged off TVNZ to the glue factory in 2012.

Instead Notional went all sweet and arranged a land swap with Sky City
This meant TVscum stayed on high value land and in the refurbishment spend $60 million on the $30m refurb budget.
The reward for this extravagance of taxpayers’ money – no staff losses or budget loss, no- they simply do not have to pay a dividend to Govt. Two years in a row now.
      How F..ed is that.

At best TVscum should have been consigned to the boonies.
TV3 operate from a pretty basic building on the city fringe and Sky TV are out in Mt Wellington

Notional really need to wake their fecking ideas up
If in the unlikely event they were to win in two weeks they need a Mother of all Budgets Mk II in late Nov or early Dec.
Send TVNZ to the knackers yard should be the move.

      It is 2020.
Broadcast TV with adverts is a model from the 1950s.
It’s time has come and gone.
Under austerity it needs to go.
Under austerity, stop the $20 million a year subsidy to 100% overseas owned TV3 and hangers on.

This anti social behaviour by TV1 is not a solitary event.
The ABC in AU and BBC in UK are woke wasters and complete arsewipes.

Notional are the authors of their own demise by not shutting down biased media years ago but gifting for it to continue.
I am appalled by the filthy bias of NZ media but observe little of it.

But Notional, you make your bed…..

  8. Across on KB this morning, I found someone had posted this carefully worded comment. Interesting…
    +++
Note: this comment asks, when the Police, on their evaluation of a situation, release a statement to declare a matter to be false, and then when a similar matter arises, is the absence of Police guidance mean that second matter is likely true, or they haven’t decide yet, or the matter doesn’t matter?

Clarke Gayford shares photo of the pillowcase helping him not miss Jacinda Ardern ‘too much’ while she’s on campaign trail [1]

For the immediate record, the photo of the pillowcase displays an image of Ardern which is less romantic than I’d expect, considering the context, but what the hell. Someone apparently gifted it to Gayford, for some reason – it may not be the angle he would himself select.

“Amazing the curios picked up on the campaign trail,” Gayford said on Twitter, accompanied with a photo of the pillowcase featuring Ardern, a silver fern, and two English roses.
“This wee gem of a gift was slipped onto my pillow so I won’t miss her too much while she’s out getting it done and I’m home stocking up on 2L milks.”

However the point here is that Gayford cannot be unaware that a rather grubby rumour seeming attaches again to his situation, and the current Police Commissioner has not offered public guidance on the current comments – unlike the office of the previous Commissioner, quashing an earlier rumour that they then believed untrue

So, a simple question: If Gayford’s pillow companion is valid Election clickbait fodder – the existence of the pillow case supposedly has been released and commented on by Gayford and Ardern media contacts – why is the current rumour about Gayford not also up for consideration – certainly for Police officially discounting it – since the circumstances could echo Len Brown’s publicly misjudged Christian family status, just prior to his election, which was shown to be so in error shortly thereafter.

Where is the Police Commissioner on what has been by precedent implicated as one of his jobs?
Or has that role now regained its hoped for impartiality, although that will not be the situation until it is publicly pointed out?

    • My wife is watching the replay of a news conference Judith Collins had yesterday ( the video is on Stuff). From the bits I’m over hearing Judith is having the reporters “for breakfast”. Making most of them look stupid. A number of the questions seem to be about trivia and Judith answers them but keeps saying she wants to talk about serious issues like the fact the NZ economy is tanking and what National would do about it etc. But the “journalists” do not seem to want to get into the serious stuff.

  12. I watched this interview on TV3 of the two 18 year olds who are standing for Parliament, William for National and Luke for Greens. Count how many times Luke mentions “systemic racism”. “I think that poverty, climate change and racism are three of the biggest issues that New Zealand is facing and the Green Party is the only one with a long-term plan to do it,” he told host Duncan Garner.

“I led the school strikes here in Auckland and there I saw that we could get 180,000 people out on the streets, we could show that just about everybody in this country wants to see strong action on climate change, but still, still in Parliament, we have people that are delaying, we have people that are denying in some cases the need for it.”

  15. When the media were shocked that National party supporters had turned up for Judith’s walk about, Cindy was asked and said she didn’t know if Labour supporters were also present for her Labour leadership street walks.

Jacinda Ardern has acknowledged Labour contacts supporters and asks them to show up for campaign events, after National’s seemingly staged Auckland walkabout hit the headlines yesterday.

Labour’s leader says she wasn’t involved in National’s seemingly staged Auckland stroll so couldn’t comment on any differences between the two parties approaches.

“All I know is when I come out it’s a chance to meet supporters, members of the public, and people who have been volunteering for us,” she said.

“We’re being dictated to about what animals we’re allowed to run and the style of farming, when we’re supposed to put crops in, and when not to put crops in. We’ve been farming on that place for 60 years, three or four generations, we know what we’re doing and our waterways have always been good.’’

    • I am surprised that true pundit does not know the bail system with bondsman.
It seems to be fake news, but deliberately to demean the defendant, as if corrupt.
They seem to be driven by a “woke agenda”!
      .
Defendants also have the option of contacting a bail agent. The reason many people choose to do this is because they only pay a portion of the bond upfront when using an agency.
Many times, friends or relatives of the defendant may contact a bail agent on their behalf.
      .
If you decide to hire a bail bondsmen or agent, they will write up a contract to ensure that you understand that you are responsible for the defendant showing up in all court proceedings.
If the defendant does not show up, you will be responsible for the full amount of the bail.
      .
If the defendant fails to show up to any court proceedings, it will be the responsibility of the bail agent to pay the full amount of bail to the court.
From there, the bail agent will hire a bounty hunter to track down the defendant and take them back to jail.
      .
If the defendant fails to appear in court, the person who took out the bail bond can lose any collateral or have additional penalties depending on their contract.

      https://www.robertmhelfend.com/criminal-defense/how-a-bail-bond-works/

There is a fee, but no where near the million dollars. Possibly up to 10% but could depend on collateral, and what other members of the family put in place.
The bail money only becomes due and owing if you do not turn up to court on the due date.
Turn up and the money is refunded.
It is a major industry and even involves insurance systems to cover some of the odds.

Prime Wellington land earmarked for a substantial development is being described by some iwi as too sacred for housing.

Government officials are working with a Māori settlement trust to develop the site of the old prison at Mount Crawford, on Miramar Peninsula.

The 1920s prison, with views over the entire harbour, is currently sitting dilapidated, empty and closed.

Plans are to build a 300-house development, which would include demolishing the prison, and replacing it with housing. The entire section, however, would cover much further than just the current prison boundaries.

    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/money/2020/10/reserve-bank-says-house-prices-falling-would-be-worst-case-scenario-for-nz-s-economy.html

Reserve Bank (RBNZ) chief economist Yuong Ha referred to house prices falling as a “deterioration of wealth”, which could not be afforded during the COVID-19 economic recovery.

“The worst situation we could face right now would be to see house prices fall,” Ha said.

It comes as the property market continues to defy the recessionary odds.

Newshub witnessed a three-bedroom home in Auckland’s Sunnynook, sell for $2.33 million at auction on Thursday morning. Its capital value is $1.1m according to CoreLogic.

Sellers Brian and Mary Aldersley were gobsmacked after expecting $1.6m.

    • Sunnynook is on the north shore about half way up; inland from Mairangi Bay and East of Glenfield.

It was 1970s nappy valley after being farmland.
      Nothing special; nothing bad.

I find it hard to believe a house would sell for 2.3 m there but I find it hard to believe anything from the media filth and esp. that 100% foreign-owned outfit that is subsidised by taxpayers, – TV3
Y’know, the one that was collapsed to get out of a $22 million IRD tax bill.
