      • I spent many happy summer days back in the early 60s at the Basin Reserve in Wellington watching JRR take apart opposition bowling attacks. I agree about him being a one day, or 20Twenty star if he’d played today. He could hit a ball harder than any cricketer I’ve ever seen. A giant of our game who, like Burt Sutcliffe, played at a time when our national team could only muster a couple of really international-caliber cricketers in any eleven, Imagine both of them playing in our current set up. Stars!

    • Met him 2005, I said how I had seen his innings of 100 in a New Zealand score of 159 at Lancaster Park. He said that technically that was most that was his most ever satisfying innings he ever played. It remains the lowest ever test score to contain a century.

  1. I don’t know if you are familiar with this interview with a Russian KGB defector. In it he describes the process of ‘ideological subversion’ that is used to convert a free, capitalist country into a socialist one.

In this transcript (may be a different interview) there was an interesting point.
“my KGB instructors specifically made a point, never bother with leftists. Forget about this political prostitutes. Aim higher. This was my instruction-try to get into large circulation established conservative media. Reach movie makers, intellectuals, so called academic circles, cynical egocentric people who can look into your eyes with angelic expression and tell you a lie. This are the most recruit-able people, people who lack moral principles, who are either too greedy or suffer from self-importance. They feel that they matter a lot. These are the people KGB wanted very much to recruit.”

The lesson is look out for “cynical egocentric people who can look into your eyes with angelic expression and tell you a lie” on the right.

Don’t be surprised if David Seymour is the new Winnie.

NC is the genuine anti-establishment party. That’s why it hasn’t been invited to the debates, it hasn’t been gifted a seat and the real poll numbers are suppressed. I know some of you find it illiberal, but the alternative is way worse.

This was downvoted at Kiwiblog until hidden: “There are rumours going around on Twitter that National's internal polling has New Conservatives polling at 4.5%!!!” First comment by Natfan08 here I’ve had this confirmed – National’s internal polling has NC moving between 4.2 and 6%.

  2. Two men are shopping in a supermarket when their trolleys collide. The first guy says, “sorry about that mate, I”m trying to find my wife!”
The second guy says, “yeah, me too mate.”
The first guy says, “maybe I can help, what does she look like?”
The second guy answers, “she”s tall, blonde hair, blue eyes, long legs, great tits and a tight arse. What does yours look like?”
The first guy replies, “FUCK, never mind her, let”s find yours!

  3. The only sensible thing Garner has said today as he described James Shaw as “A shiver looking for a spine to crawl up”
Davidson obviously wears the man pants and wee Jimmy the panties. She is a very scary unit.

  4. After a few days enforced rest while recovering from the “China flu” Trump is looking well rested and full of energy and he feeds off the amazing crowds turning up to support him at his never ending rallies.
19 days to the USA presidential election -Trump 2020 ✌️

Nothing will keep Trump from getting his message to Americans: Deputy press secy

White House deputy press secretary Brian Morgenstern talks to FOX Business’ Charles Payne about the state of the 2020 presidential election and the Supreme Court confirmation hearing. #FoxBusiness

  5. I hope you all listened to Judith Collins on Hosking’s show this morning. She is a class act.

Talking about the media she grunted at mention of TV3 ( obviously fighting hard to not say anything) then she said the Press Gallery desperately needs some diversity of age, diversity of experience and diversity of thought. Throwing their favourite word DIVERSITY straight back at them. She also added that sometimes in interviews, she feels like she’s talking directly to the PM’s press secretary !!
I think even Mike was a little bit stunned and added that after 38 years in the business he totally agrees.

If National is still in Opposition on Sunday and they start talking about getting rid of Collins as leader I will start writing National’s obituary.

    • ……”I will start writing National’s obituary”…..

You well may get the opportunity. Collins is only keeping the seat warm for Luxon. Win or lose, as soon as the ‘Anointed One’ has been shown around the building Judith will get the bum’s rush & the Godbotherer’s will install their Saviour.

With his proven level of ability, by 2023 National will be a minor party.

      • I saw Kate Hawkesby’s column on Breaking Views saying a similar thing about Luxon, nasska. If you are right then I agree about the minor party.
But Luxon has to prove himself to be a good politician first. Just because he was the CEO of a large company means nothing. In his case all the heavy lifting at Air NZ had been done by Rob Fife, before he arrived and he left the company in great shape for Luxon. What significant improvements did Luxon do? I think he basically kept the seat warm.

          • Try to list John Keys’s Achievements as PM in 50 words.
            OK, make it 20 words.
Try 4 achievements in eight years.

You really do not understand Key just as a lot of people who blindly follow Ardern do not understand her.

The degradation of the Notional pardy in the last 10 years has been appalling to the point they have utterly pathetic losers coming in:
Hamish Walker, Andrew Falloon, Jami lee Ross et al
Their prior leader – the very weak Simon Bridges – even described Maureen Pugh as such.

They selected a loser- Muller – as leader months from an election when Muller did not have clue and therefore the people who voted for him clearly did not have clue.
They were so anti Collins they selected that clown.
            Will they do it again?
Given the low quality of MPs (stupid gun laws; pass Zero Carbon) yep they will probably be stupid again because that is what stupid people do – they repeat mistakes.

It is not the party of 20 years ago – and that was weakened by Bolger in the 1990s that allowed Helen Clark 9 years .

Malcolm Turnbull got all jizzy over John Key and that showed that Turnbull would be a crap Prime Minster – which he was.
Turnbull tried to white ant his own party after they saw through him and did this to the candidate who stood in hos seat after him. A complete prick.
Those New York Banksters stick together.

You might want to investigate who John Key really worked for and I will not spoon feed you on that.
You might want to establish why he abruptly stood down in 2016.

            Ross12 is correct.
It was Ralph Norris and Rob Fyfe who locked in Air NZ as a strong performer after its near collapse in 2001.

        • …..”But Luxon has to prove himself to be a good politician first”……

Disagree. Luxon carries the correct baggage & suits the ideological preferences of National’s core constituency.

Belief in God & the willingness to shove moralistic crap down the throats of the electorate will be all important.

            • It’s worse than a belief in any god which can range from warm feelings in the tummy on Sunday mornings to raving on street corners. Chris Luxon is determined to become a politician yet he has been identified as an evangelical Christian. Bomber Bradbury usually writes socialist shit yet in this instance he nailed it:

…….”A private matter? Well, that might be true if Luxon was a person moving into private life. Clearly, however, that is not the case. Luxon has opted to become an even more public person than he was as Air New Zealand’s CEO. The core motivations of public persons are not matters to be evaded, they are matters to be explicated, elucidated and explained.

What, then, is generally understood by the term Christian evangelism? At its core, evangelism is about the active spreading of Christ’s teachings – especially among those who are ignorant of his message. For a politician to identify himself as an evangelical Christian is, therefore, a matter of considerable importance.”……

  6. I made a prediction over a beer at the Pub Quiz last night.
“If Labour Govern alone this will be the last Democratic Election for maybe our lifetime as Jacinda now knows she can get away with her Stalinist lockdown games”
The guys at my table begrudgingly agreed that a ‘Climate Emergency lockdown’ (and the subsequent suspension of Democracy)was a distinct possibility in the next few years.
One girl at my table (a mate of a mate’s wife) is apparently a Labour Voter.
    Her answer-
“I actually hope we never have to have another Election. I’m quite happy with Jacinda for life”

This is what we are up against people-These Jacinda Cultmembers have no fucking idea how valuable Democracy and Freedom of Speech etc are!
They would literally drink the Kool Aid if Reverend Jacinda Jones told them to…

  7. Promoting cannabis use in the community, is there any surprise prison use has staff turning a blind eye to use by inmates?

Former prisoner says staff turning a blind eye to drug use at Rimutaka

An ex-prisoner, housed at a child sex offender unit at Rimutaka Prison, has claimed fellow residents are smoking synthetic cannabis while authorities turn a blind eye.

But the man said for the past month, three residents have been regularly smoking synthetic cannabis in the afternoon and evening.

“It’s giving side effects of, obviously, fits, obnoxious behaviour, loud behaviour. Myself and other residents are stressed out from this and annoyed.

“These people, all they have to do is throw a little fit and they get whatever they want.”

    • So called “synthetic Cannabis” is not actual cannabis.
      It is anything but.

Cannabis is from a naturally grown botanic.
This misnamed synthetic stuff can be anything with whatever chemical sprayed on it.
A lot is sourced from China so a good reason to not touch it- in that you literally do not know what it is .
It could be chemicals sprayed on straw or pubic hair and still be called synthetic cannabis.

      A misnomer than perpetuates.

It was the clown- yet another St Bedes Catholic old boy; just so many of them in Parliament -Peter Dunne that multiplied this confusion.

A vinyl jacket is not a leather jacket.
This stuff is not cannabis or anywhere near it.
Apple juice in a glass can look like whiskey but it is not whiskey .

  8. The Watermelons have all the answers to solving all our social ills – throw rich pricks tax at the problems…

NZ Election 2020: Greens say Kiwis are confusing income and wealth when it comes to tax

James Shaw says Kiwis don’t appear to understand who the Greens’ wealth tax would hit, confusing income for wealth.

    • We understand perfectly well.
He of the lesbians’ upbringing, Shaw, is a weaselly liar.
Yasser Davidson. There are no words.

      Wealth tax is insidious
Example : A widow in her house that is say been in the family since before her birth remains living in it and it comfortable there and not using taxpayer subsidised aged care facility.

The house is worth say $2.4 million.
Modest for a house in a decent suburb in Auckland.
Every year she has to find cash of $14,000 for this tax over and above all other taxes, rates, GST on purchases, petrol tax for imaginary trams , car registration, etc.
Any other assets over this – not clear – like art collection, savings are taxable.
It is not clear but given the greed of the Greens it is likely the furniture in the houe could be taxed, the widows wedding ring could be taxed.
With the Marxist scum you have to assume the worst. They hate people who do well.
You cannot control people who think independently and are able to not be dependent on the state.

      The Goal is Control

So $200,000 nest egg in the bank for the same person requires $2000 wealth tax despite earning at today’s TD rate of 1.05% that itself in TAXable .
[Hint: this is part of the Alt World Govt drive to move to cashless society; started this year- no cash transactions]

On the house alone, the TAX in 5 years is $70,000 hard cash to the Marxists.
That is not tax as love. No F..ing way!!
      Elder abuse yes, love, Nooo.

In the socialist 1960s and 1970s these wealth taxes were common mainly in Northern Europe as a concession to the strong communist influence of the times.
These started to be removed in the 1980s with the shift in monetary policy lead by Reaganomics.
Happy clappy Sweden so full of cucks was a holdout. They are more ABBA than Dolph Lundgren.
“Some other European countries have discontinued this kind of tax in recent years: Austria, Denmark (1995), Germany (1997), Finland (2006), Luxembourg (2006) and Sweden (2007).”

“More than a dozen European countries used to have wealth taxes, but nearly all of these countries repealed them, including Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Sweden. Wealth taxes survive only in Norway, Spain, and Switzerland.”

The weird thing is all these lefties love to criticise Muldoon but they embrace his economic ways: Rent freeze, price controls, intervention, high personal taxes, borrow and hope, no structural reform.
Keep reminding them they are ‘Just Like Muldoon’

It is time that Yasser Davidson called two mums Shaw what he really is – a cunt.
I mean the staunch Wahine owns The Word, right, along with the water, the air, the airwaves, the trees….

  9. Interesting listening to Magic Radio this morning and discussion around Karl Du Fresnes article.
I am surprised Williams is not up to speed with these issues .We have certainly been discussing them here for a long time.

He doesn’t get the connection between the UN and Labour and the agenda they are pursuing.

More people are waking up but I think it is too late.

  10. A National Party candidate’s election ad campaign has gone viral on Twitter after a typo changed his intent from “lower taxes” to “lover taxes”.

The hilarious mix-up, printed in a community newspaper yesterday, has a photo of a smiling David Bennett next to three ticks – road to Tauranga, Waikato medical school, and lover taxes.

    Already have them.
Called various names such as DPB, WFF and so on.

nothing to laugh about really even if it is funny.

  11. Watch some of Trumps last two rallies. Getting stuck into the lefties and the geriatic skeleton in a suit.
Oh but he got a bit nasty says some.
    Well fuck them.
They have been dishing it out for years. Hope he cleans them out and then we can do the same.
Our councils are infested with the slimey whinging specimans they call human beings.

    • Excellent and well written article exposing the useless
bitch. An airhead with ZERO life experience who thinks
she can dictate how Kiwi’s should live.
I detest the lying, rancid, horse faced commie slag.

  12. Don’t hold back on our account Judith!

Collins jokes she ‘won’t get physical’ in final leaders’ debate with Ardern

National Party leader Judith Collins today joked she “won’t get physical” in the final leaders’ debate with Labour’s Jacinda Ardern this evening.

This evening, the two leaders will go head-to-head in the final TVNZ leaders’ debate of the 2020 election campaign.

“I’m preparing to put forward a very positive vision for the future of New Zealand and at the same time accepting that we’re about to go through very difficult, challenging economic time.”

Collins also described her campaign as “relentlessly positive” and Ardern’s as “love and hugs”.

  13. Cindy pissed off at all the questions during the election campaign on Labour’s policies. 😂

Ardern maintains Labour has targets for policies as she hits out at ‘desperate’ National tactics

Jacinda Ardern maintains Labour has targets for many of its policies as she hit out at Judith Collins over National’s increasingly “desperate” tactics late in the election campaign.

  14. Labour promises $75 million in contestable NZ On Air funding for newsrooms

Kris Faafoi has announced that a Labour Government would introduce a considerable new contestable NZ On Air funding pool to support local and regional journalism, if elected.

The funding, which Faafoi said is already budgeted, would consist of $25 million, annually, over three years.

Faafoi also said a potential merger of public broadcasters TVNZ and RNZ would remain on the cards, and in fact would move forward “with some speed”.

Māori broadcasting set for major shakeup as Government proposes single service

Under the new contestable fund, local and regional journalism would be preferred, and any platform would be considered.

Faafoi said over the course of the past few months he had visited many newsrooms across the country, and that there was an appetite for financial support to happen as soon as possible, in order to avoid more job losses.

  15. I do not think the media is calling this out, just playing quiet & dumb, so as not to upset the “trend”, particularly of how the NZ election seems to be trending.

This week, Sky News Australia contributor and former Australian Senator Cory Bernardi, tore open the debate on COVID after calling out a globalist agenda which few in mainstream media have dared to mention so far.

Since lockdowns began in March of 2020, few have challenged the government rationale for voluntarily imploding their economies and destroying communities and societies – based on a guess that coronavirus might kill tens of millions of citizens. …..

…… “Why do you think the Australian Greens have been so quiet these past months … it’s because their policy agenda is coming to life?” he asked.

“After decades of peddling climate change lies and propaganda to force government by the elites, the socialists have used a media induced hysteria over public health as their latest weapon of economic destruction.”

The end game of creating to illusion of a global pandemic emergency is to rapidly usher-in the introduction of a ‘Green New Deal‘ policy –

The video in that article and pertains to the Australian budget and the total borrowing because of the lockdown.
    “Goodbye Australia! 1788-2020”
    45 mins 13 secs. : • Oct 7, 2020

Economist John Adams and Analyst Martin North review the budget statement and unpack the true motivations behind it. Its not pretty!

In NZ do any of our economic advisors understand? the assumptions, are they right or wrong? like what is the new normal, when the vaccines? if ever, the effects.
So many issues? definitions changed?, consumer consumption? employment but by whom? What is masked?
What is GDP? and its meanings? generating jobs? what is productivity?

To be honest I have no more than hope, but will have to live in NZ with all the real effects.
So life will go on, as always, but figuring there will be some big hits from the government to come as they will seek money, and ultimately control of life.
Expect the best, prepare for the worst.

I have not listened to it all, and will later.

  16. Next Deputy PM? Marama Davidson dismisses Judith Collins’ ‘desperate’ attack as Jacinda Ardern stands by Kelvin Davis

A new NZ Herald-Kantar Vote 2020 poll has found that just 14 percent would like to see Davis as Deputy Prime Minister compared to 36 percent who would prefer Labour’s finance spokesperson Grant Robertson.

Ardern said on Thursday she would not get into any “hypotheticals” around ministerial portfolios before voters have had their say, but she confirmed there are no plans to shift Davis from the deputy role.

“I’ve said that I already have our deputy leader of the Labour Party,” she told reporters. “He is our deputy of the Labour Party and it’s staying that way.”

She criticised Collins for stirring the pot and linking Labour to the Greens’ wealth tax policy despite Labour repeatedly ruling it out, describing National’s campaign as “desperate” in the final days.

    • Yes, Braybots nemesis, popcorn time! 🙂

A whole thread here which ross12 started.

links to Tucker Carson, the New York Post, Bret Baier Fox news, and the censorship of corruption by face book & twitter.

The USA courts are going to be tied up for a long time, just sorting out Joe Biden’s eligibility to even be a running candidate for Presidency.
This will really test Nancy Pelosi’s use of amendment 25, being a 2 edged sword.
Which will get Joe Biden first? 🙂
Or will it be Kamala Harris, but what about the early votes, then changing names on the votes?

      • Here’s the latest.

‘UNDER INVESTIGATION’: Senate Opens Probe into Hunter Biden Emails, NY Post Story
        posted by Hannity Staff

The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee is investigating newly released emails which revealed that Hunter Biden introduced his father, former Vice President Joe Biden, to a top executive at Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma Holdings in 2015 at Hunter’s request.

Committee Chairman Ron Johnson, R-Wis., told Fox News on Wednesday that the committee has been in touch with the person who provided the emails and was in the process of validating the information.

        • …… the emails were part of a trove of data recovered from a laptop which was dropped off at a repair shop in Delaware in April 2019. ……
…… FBI reportedly seized the computer and hard drive in December 2019. The shop owner, though, said he made a copy of the hard drive and later gave it to former Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s lawyer, Robert Costello.

The Post reported that the FBI referred questions about the hard drive and laptop to the Delaware U.S. Attorney’s Office, where a spokesperson told the outlet that the office “can neither confirm nor deny the existence of an investigation.” …..

So the FBI dilly dallied, the Delaware U.S. Attorney’s Office dilly dallied.
And as mentioned, and in one of my above links, Rudy Giuliani knows best how to time the expose for the best. 😉

Chinese corruption is still to come as touched on by Rudi. 🙂

  17. Coronavirus: Double-dip recession forecast to hit New Zealand in 2021, next few months ‘crunch time’ for economy – Infometrics

A double-dip recession, as Infometrics is forecasting, is when a recession is followed by a brief recovery only to be followed by another recession.

Economists have previously suggested our recovery will begin in the September quarter.

  18. Why are they stiĺ letting CCP Virus infected passengers in the country?
Approved testing before leaving should reduce the risk.
Yes SE Asia will be trying to dodge it, but surely there are safe gaurds?
The more you stop, the safer the border and safer NZ is and less chance of it escaping!

  19. Oh I say. Did you see the blurb on One non-News about the old Wellington Air traffic Control Tower up for sale. They interviewed an ex Air Traffic Controller. Now..the name was Sophia..but..Im pretty fkuckin sure it was a man with a dress on.. and I’m only on my first glass of Peg Bay Chardonnay.
Jessica Mutch-Expanded. Is she preggers? Did husband shoot one past the goalie?
