  1. Seems that all has gone quiet up at Pike River.
A week or so back I commented on here that there were many truckloads of concrete heading up there – nobody seems to know what they were for, and nothing has been heard from up there since.
Wonder whether they have all been re-entombed? Another of the governments re-sets !

    • The reminds me of Heather du Plessis-Allan with her claim of “put it this way: I’ve voted across the spectrum”. Sure: Greens, Labour, Jim Anderton is PC party, the Alliance and possibly even for Winston First (her husband is a cheerleader for them). She might have even voted for the honestly named socialist parties that pop up from time to time.

  2. Still on the West Coast, equipment has been spotted in the new Grey Base Hospital.
For those not aware, the new hospital was built by the last government as a replacement for the present aging and dilapidated infrastructure, but since election day all work seems to have slowed to a snails pace.
Recently the hospital has been repainted, probably with a 1 1/2″ brush, and now there is evidence that some equipment has been delivered, pallets of stuff covered in bubble wrap. I do hope that one of them is a machine that goes “ping.”
    Alas no beds yet though.
Perhaps the DHB can do a deal with Pike River to take all the desks, computers and new carpet once they have finished with it, most of that will be “as new” as it has not been used yet !

  3. That cartoon got me thinking- The Left consider anyone who votes National/Act or Conservative etc to be ‘Alt Right White Supremacists’ (Don’t believe me? Have a read of The Standard sometime…)
So once ‘Hate Speech’ laws have dealt with the mythical ‘Alt Right’ there will be no representation on any panels….Expressing our Political views will simply be illegal!

    • Leftards want a one-party state. We know this because any time a non Leftard government is elected cue “Democracy has failed”. The most recent one of note being the election in Australia.

            • Hi Melahi i was having a squiz through your site last night, i am really curious about this whole TERF thing you have mentioned and that Louisa Wall throws around as an insult, it would be interesting to get your views on the subject as i might not be the only one confused as to what all this infighting is about and who is included or excluded and why, from my meagre understanding its mostly about anyone that dares to oppose the ranks of the gay sisterhood and then gets singled out for abuse, i am sure there is a lot more to it than that but it all gets a bit confusing i did ask my Nephew who is a gay & married but he has no idea & prefers to keep well away from the loonie side of things so any help would be appreciated if you feel like it

    • I can only hope our comments offend the left greatly. They can take their “alt-right” bullshit and shove it! The Soviet Union died a nasty pathetic death for a reason. Communism fails every time. JA belongs in Cuba, in one of those slums where you get a can of re-fried beans once a week if you’re lucky.

    • From what I’ve read (I can’t for the life of me remember where I read it, was by an old school journalist commenting on the current state of fake news/shitty journalistic integrity) one of the main issues is, in the past, becoming a journalist/reporter was almost like doing an apprenticeship, in the case of starting at the bottom at the news agent, learning how to chase leads, investigate facts etc etc. These days, kids go to university to study journalism, and with universities the world over predominantly being staffed with left wing liberals and virtue signalling social justice warriors, the graduates walk away indoctrinated with the same left wing, all about the feelz mentality. Hence why the right wing/common sense view or narrative is heavily outnumbered by the leftist MSM.

        • No, it is fine as part of education, there just has to be a counter-narrative told as well. I don’t want to shut anyone up if I am allowed my say as well.

If politics is sub-consciously an unwritten criterion for employment, then the right wing needs to employ their own also.

    • Been the trend for years. The left change their values like the wind blows, and climate change has filled the vacuum left by the collapse of the USSR and the Berlin Wall. It is to be resisted 100%. Never trust Labour. Never trust greens. All of them want to take our freedom away, make no mistake. Keep blogging!

    • Jenna Lynch “political journalist” on AMShow telling about Phil Twyford’s secret meeting with Phil Goff about city boundaries, not noted in his diary, no officials, can’t remember if any notes taken when National requested all information. Jenna didn’t believe it is a sackable offense, just Phil doing what Phil does. OMG. To be fair Duncan Garner said he has to go, it is a sackable offense and that Cindy is too soft on her ministers who stuff up. Jenna ended up hopping from one foot to the other trying to keep up changing her opinion to meet Duncan’s. She is as useless as the MSM’s mistress the Mad Queen.

      • “just Phil doing what Phil does” that statement would have never been uttered if it was John Key or anyone from National, why would you bother going into the media if you are going to let your prejudices get in the way of doing your job, just report the news we are not interested in your opinions or the way NZ journos somehow make the news all about them (Gower Hillary Barry etc being prime examples) just like this COL they think we need spoon fed information so we dont somehow hurt ourselves (Ch Ch murders being another example of that) isn’t it fun being treated like a naughty school kid

        • When you and your colleagues are living in an echo chamber with the likes of Tova O’Brien, is it any wonder they report it as they see it. That the MSM does not see the hypocrisy between how they treat Labour and the CoL compared to their near manic criticism of National shows how deeply embedded the MSM socialist views are.

      • Jenny Salesa is going to some Kiwibuild meeting in Phail Twitfords place!
Is she the new Kiwibild Minister? I hope she held out for some special deal!
Because she will need to leave at the end of this term.
The Twit has stuffed that portfolio.
I hope she’s on “Sir” Mike Cullens $5k a day deal!
That swarmmy Twit will be out off there at end of term!

      • I watched Philthy lie once again. How can he keep a straight face? He gets ridiculed with laughter in Parliament! Now his big idea is to open up Crown land for development for rental houses. I’d love to be the developer with eyeballs shaped like dollar signs, knowing the taxpayer will pick up the tab for any cost overruns. It will never fly Philthy bastard. You’ll have contractors screaming “favoritism”.

    • Because the money doesn’t want there to be!

There are no right-wing (or even impartial) news outlets because running a news network takes money and the Alinsky tactics of the left make it very hard to make money through advertising. And of course, for the remainder of those with money they don’t really want balance in reporting as it does not serve their purposes.

The UN’s anti-white, anti-democracy, anti-Christianity didn’t just magically appear, it was funded to do so! The desirable outcome for the super rich/powerful requires understanding of how they view the human race. In their eyes, t’s split into three classes:
      – Alphas (the very few privileged super-rich/powerful
      – Betas the tiresome, democracy-loving, freedom-appreciating, increasingly growing middle-class who question and vote against the Alpha’s grand plans
      and
      – the Omegas, these are what the Alphas think of the vast majority of sub-humans who still exist on a level barely past the subsistence level (think the waves of IQ of 85 invaders welcomed into Europe by Merkel, or the migrant caravan’s being assisted by Soros and the Democrats into the US, or the refugees that Socialist Cindy wants to bring in under the UN migration pact).

The Alpha’s want a world where there are no Beta’s to evolve up to Alpha level and start crowding and challenging the existing power structures. The Alpha’s grand plan, through bribery of the wannabe Alphas who run the UN (or the EU or the Senate or the UK Parliament) to promote policies which dis empower the uppity Betas. Mass immigration of Omegas from 3rd world shitholes seems to be the most effective way of subverting the ambitions of the annoying Betas. But secondary plans like convincing the Betas that they have to tax themselves into poverty to “Save the Planet” seems also to be gaining traction. White privilege/White guilt is effectively indoctrinating Betas that they’re to blame for the plight of the Omegas and the best thing Betas can do is de-evolve down to the Omega level where the Alpha’s want them to be.

Anyway, come on fellow Betas, let’s help those Alphas and buy into all their insane policies and drag ourselves down to the Omega level as soon as possible (for the planet, or for Kindness, or for Equality, or for Diversity) the Alphas will feel much safer when we have resumed our proper place in society and they can go on with their privileged existence without the pawns getting in the way.

  5. Stuff(ed) has an article on Sugar today.
What it doe snot say is why don’t the food manufacturers cut back gradually on the amount of sugar in their products.
Eg a Can of coke has 6 teaspoons of sugar. That is madness.
Why don’t they cut it back by one teaspoon a year, no one will notice the difference, and we will still buy it, and we will all be better off.
Less obesity and no need for a sugar tax.

  6. Heard Minto the terrorist loving screaming skull giving Winston a serve for being on the wrong side of history by supporting the USA & Trump instead of the Hamas terrorists that rule Palestine, i just love how Trump lives rent free in all of these activists heads (watching them blow a fuse is even more fun) and as if Peters is going to give a rats what Minto thinks, notice how all of these good for nothing activists have become emboldened by having a bunch of socialists in power & i bet i didn’t take them long to suss out how weak & easily influenced our PM is just get some kids to sign a petition & hey presto there’s another industry fkd, sorry i meant another turtle & dolphin saved

He has been a pain for us in NZ since forever.
      What does he live on?
      Does he have a job?
As regards Palestine – even the Arabs don’t want to give them a homeland.
They breed like locusts 7 million of them in a area the size of a shoe box with no water or resources, other than donations from the west! (ha ha)
Meanwhile the Jews and Israel have done a lot for the world when it comes to science and technology.

Hooten is another that refuses to let the lies go away

“The Prime Minister tells us that at 7pm Tuesday 28 May, she was advised her @nztreasury was under cyber attack by persons unknown. Yet, despite this, no one called a meeting of #OCDESC. Or implemented IT contingency plans. Why? Because they all knew the hack claim was invented”
Must be just about time for Jacinda to bring her #1 squirrel into play to dominate the news once again

  7. Before I went for my shower this morning there was a story headlined on Stuff stating that one third of people pre-paying for their power had borrowed money from friends and relatives (presumably to do so).

After my shower I couldn’t (can’t) find it.

A shame because post-shower I was going to read it, not just to find out how the hell they would get such a statistic but also what the writer (or “experts” it “interviewed”) was proposing to do about the unfortunate fact that successive socialist governments have damaged New Zealand’s social structure to the point that a whole class of people literally have no idea how to fend for themselves.

Do you suppose even Stuff can still get embarrassed by particularly blatant typewriter interviews?

    • Last night there was a report that Work and Income has over the past 12 months had a 45% increase in the number of requests for special payments (ie for washing machines, or similar needs). The report was not so much about beneficiaries asking for money but the horror of Winz suggesting beneficiaries try all other funding avenues before requesting Winz cough up. Apparently, according to the MSM, borrowing money from financial lenders and having to pay interest is not an option for our taxpayer funded beneficiaries.

      • When our fridge packed a sad recently it cost me 2 grand to replace it with a new, decent model. I only had half the cash so financed the rest. Rocket science i tell ya. WINZ? Never heard of it LOL.

How many “special grants” go to beneficiaries who reek like the cigarette they just puffed on the WINZ footsteps? Drive by the Dargaville WINZ office and you see it all the time. Young men with hoodies and a fag hanging out of their mouths pushing baby strollers. Your tax dollars hard at work NZ!

Millions going to many different organisations each with non pronounceable maori names.
Nania was so proud of them all.
But in not one case did she actually say what they were going to do.
It was all about helping Maori.
But nothing about educating them, giving them some work ethic, some pride in themselves (not Maori culture). Getting ahead in todays modern world, like our asian immigrants do.

The number of cows some countries have in ascending order
    New Zealand 10 million
    Germany 12 million
    USA 40 million
    Indonesia 42 million

    • If that happened here the Labour/Green Government would order their lapdogs the New Zealand Police to charge the shopkeepers.

      • While I like to put the boot into the CoL, I’m afraid the police do not like competition. Most of the time when my friends have been involved in self defence situations, the police have tried to charge them for excessive force (charges never stuck). I can only think of two occasions where the police did not do this (and in one of them the scumbags pressed a civil charge…which also failed).

If you can deal with scumbags without involving the police, I suggest you do.

Still, the police attitude probably derives from some Labour policy from yesteryear.

  12. “When I went to a non-Muslim school and I wanted to learn about my faith, they didn’t know what I was talking about, but in this school they can help me out if I need help.”
In a speech at the ceremony, Bilal Ragued from the Algoritmi Education Trust Board recalled his own experience of growing up in a public school.
“I was faced with a serious identity struggle, [I had questions like] what does it mean to be a young Muslim in New Zealand? How do I live my life in accordance with my religious teachings within an environment that doesn’t necessarily understand or appreciate those teachings?” he said.

After the video the other day where children in an Islamic School are being taught to kill infidels, stone gays and more this and the drive to make it a public school for government funding makes me feel uncomfortable.

This is New Zealand, we are a non-secular country. Schools are for education. Religion you can get from church. And yes, I believe the same should apply to Christian schools to Catholic schools, etc. unless they are privately funded.

Were HOLDEN to clever for their own boots?

Will Holden, forever be called a gay ute?
Would tradies and farmers rather be dead, than seen in a gay ute and have to put up with all the ribbing?
I saw somewere that Holden have an ad on tv with semi blured out pitcure of lady and baby that looks like PM.
Surely not, that’s a bit close to the bone!
Have Holden moved away from their traditional customer and are now aiming more for the Robbo.
You know the gay ute. Maybe they will come with a bud vase on the dash even!

    • I think it is the rebranded CYFS. Recently I jave been given the opportunity to work with a company that follows Te Ao Reo principles. (Hope I remembered that right). There is a definitive philosophy behind it and I am changing my perspective after dealing with people who embrace this. It is part of the unique culture that makes us NZ. Far more so than some other imports and when you begin to learn what sits underneath it, it makes sense.

I don’t know how to articulate it better without sounding woke, but my view on Maori led organisations have changed after I worked with one. This one at least isn’t a caricature equivalent to the evil capitalist, you know?

The correct translation is ‘the ministry of our beaten, abused, discarded and murdered kids that you white cunts can pay us for & take away because we cant stop breeding’

Obviously the Te reo translation was chosen due to the grossly over-represented number or Maori whanau that are involved with the ministry.

Check your white privilege at the marae my friends, this problem is our own fault due to colonization hundreds of years ago and many generations before us…..

  15. A tourist wanders into a back alley antique shop in Wellington’s Cuba St.

Picking through the objects on display he discovers a detailed, life-sized bronze sculpture of a rat. The sculpture is so interesting & unique that he picks it up and asks the shop owner what it costs.”Twelve dollars for the rat, sir,” says the shop owner, “& a thousand dollars more for the story behind it.”

“You can keep the story, old man,” he replies, “but I’ll take the rat.”

The transaction complete, the tourist leaves the store with the bronze rat under his arm. As he crosses the street in front of the store, two live rats emerge from a sewer drain & fall into step behind him. Nervously looking over his shoulder, he begins to walk faster but every time he passes another sewer drain more rats come out and follow him. By the time he’s walked two blocks, at least a hundred rats are at his heels & people begin to point and shout. He walks even faster & soon breaks into a trot as multitudes of rats swarm from sewers, basements, vacant shops & abandoned cars. Rats by the thousands are at his heels & as he sees the waterfront at the end of the street he panics and starts to run full tilt.No matter how fast he runs, the rats keep up, squealing hideously, now not just thousands but millions, so that by the time he comes rushing up to the entrance to the wharf a trail of rats four city blocks long is behind him.

Making a mighty leap, he jumps up onto a lamp post, grasping it with one arm while he hurls the bronze rat into Wellington Harbour with the other, as far as he can heave it. Pulling his legs up and clinging to the post, he watches in amazement as the seething tide of rats surges over the edge of the wharf into the sea, where they drown.

Shaken and mumbling, he makes his way back to the antique shop.

“Ah, so you’ve come back for the rest of the story,” says the owner.

“No,” says the tourist, “I was wondering if you have a bronze public servant.
