Have Your Say

  1. Gosh everyone still on the couch?? I know, its still dark out there but needs must in this house today. Have a happy day people I look forward to all comments. Maybe not the one from china, but still interesting. I think he/she/it is a spy, conspiracy theory maybe? But this is the only free speech site in the country so I can say that.

  2. Some indisputable facts:
    * Mount Egmont.
    * Women do NOT have wives.
    * Men do NOT have husbands.
    * There are only 2 genders.
    * This country is called New Zealand.
    * Helen Clark has a penis.
Have a great day folks. Will swing by later. Let’s be careful
    out there.

  3. Day Two of their Manukau Heads odyssey dawns & Ed & Mrs Ed stocktake. Ed, noticing that the van is up on blocks, writes a note reminding him to ring Beaurepairs for a quote to replace four tyres & wheels. Other than that it has been a relatively quiet night at their camping spot though Ed looks apprehensively at the half dug hangi pit that has appeared nearby. As he reaches for the duct tape to repair the bullet holes in the motor home he muses over how Pakeha influence has civilised the locals.

    (To be continued)

  4. I’ve been thinking about the reasons for Trumps impeachment & am wondering if something deeper is the reason.

The election challenge by Texas was refused by the Supreme Court on the grounds they don’t have standing. That leaves the only people who do have standing to be Trump (if he intends to run again) & Pennsylvania voters. If they can ban Trump from running again via impeachment then he no longer has standing and his Supreme Court case can be thrown out. This means that no one can challenge the dishonest methods used to cheat in the election and opens the way for the Demoncrats to do exactly the same thing in all subsequent elections.

    • I’m not sure on the argument Maggo. Trump still has standing in the sense that he was the candidate when the fraud took place and whether he intends stand again should not matter. It should be what effect the fraud had at the time that counts.

      • The logic is that as Biden has already been inaugurated then Trump’s case is moot as there is no remedy for his complaint – it will be thrown out. His case is only relevant if he intends to run again, in which case it is not moot as he is suing to make sure it doesn’t happen again to his next election campaign. The spineless Supreme Court sellouts will probably try to throw it out anyway.

        • You are probably right Magoo. In the Wisconsin case Trump won (they agreed there was about 200k illegal votes) but they provided no remedy.
It will provide further evidence that the US is by far the most corrupt country in the world, in the political arena and I’m tempted to add their judiciary into that as well.

  5. Tsunami Alert! Tsunami Alert! Tsunami Alert!

Tsunami alert for New Zealand: Residents on north coast are told to move inland as 7.7 magnitude quake causes ocean surges
The quake hit north of New Zealand on Thursday midnight local time (1320 GMT)
It struck off the coasts of Vanuatu and New Caledonia at a depth of six miles
Authorities ordered local residents to move inland due to expected ocean surges
The first tsunami generated by the huge tremor have been confirmed by officials
The region is prone to earthquakes because it sits along the Pacific ‘Ring of Fire’

  6. Hold on to your finances – it’s coming!!!

Economist Predicts ECONOMIC CRASH from Massive Money ‘Bubble’

Harry Dent, economist and author of ‘Zero Hour,’ joined Glenn Beck on what may come soon for our financial markets. He says because the federal reserve and central banks are pumping money into our financial ‘bubble’ at record speeds, there will come a time soon that the bubble naturally will pop. Dent says fuelling the markets with additional, printed money will NOT save us from an economic crash — in fact, quite the opposite will occur.

  7. I’m listening to Peter Williams on the wireless.

    I’ve always liked Peter.

I’m wondering how long it will be before he ‘decides not to return’, making it a clean sweep of the voice of conservative kiwis on Magic Talk?

  8. Its bloody sad that Sean Plunket is gone from Magic Talk, it seems you can only have an opinion on fluffy woke shit and not on our cultures that seems to bring out the offended and outraged lefties.
That slot will be hard to fill with a centre right person and may have to settle for the lefty woke McIvor..?
I can see the listeners leaving in droves !~

  9. Missus listerns to Marcus Lush at night. Even she turned him off last night after he had a real bad hissy fit over one lady rang in about wearing the maori cowboy “Tonto” wearing his hat in parliament!
Marcus was fair screaming down the phone and airwaves last night at her!

  10. I see the government funded transparency group have awarded themselves the number one spot for – lack of corruption.

What a crock of shit. The NZ government service is a stinking swamp of self interest, ass covering and cronyism.

Sure we are not the worst, but we are no where near as good as we make out.

High Court trial opens of man accused of sexually abusing teens

Earl William Opetaia, a former boxing coach who cared for young boys at an Auckland home in the early-to-mid 2000s, pleaded not guilty to all 33 charges which included sexual violation and indecency against boys under 16.

Archibald said Opetaia then went on to threaten some of them with physical or sexual violence if they told anyone about what happened, including threatening to kill one and get his “connections” or “the gang” on to him.

The Crown alleged Opetaia told one boy “I get what I want, when I want”.

The particulars of the alleged sexual abuse the Crown says occurred are too graphic to publish.

        • Hey Nasska,
I will relate a little story from when I was about 7. I was messing about at home one weekend having fun in the yard, when a Catholic Priest who was friends with one of the very extended family arrived at home (all of my family were Pressies and my Grandad was very anti Catholic) and wanted to take me for a drive to a nearby seaside town. My mum who was probably sick of me said “Go for a ride”. I somehow smelled a rat (even at that young age) and flatly refused.
          I reckon I dodged a bullet.

    • Twyford has always tied the bottom of his tie around his left knutsack. That is why he was such a failure. Every time he lurch forward, he had to cringe back two steps in pain. Now that he does not have to wear a tie the world is surely his oyster????

  12. What does it now mean to be racist?

We’re always told that New Zealand is a racist country, but what does it now mean to be racist? Not what many of us think, apparently. No one has actually labelled me with the r-word, but only because of the pale, stale company I keep. That’s what most young, university-educated people would call me if we ever had a conversation on Maori issues.

Many of us have always insisted that races are equal, but now the tide of multiculturalism has surged in and overwhelmed us. How bitterly ironic it is that the new left makes no distinction between cultural conservatives and our traditional adversaries: the unevolved redneck racists who ignore the truth contained in that strip of human epidermis.

Peter Joyce: “I am a retired English teacher from Nelson. Living and working in Taiwan for five years gave me a special interest in matters cultural. In particular, I was impressed by the way the Taiwanese had transformed their society and economy so profoundly in less than two generations by being internationalist: by looking outwards, not inwards.”

    • Look how racist marlborough has become, spraypainting a bulldozer asking equal rights for kiwi whites has now got cindys minions involved. Cant be giving white kiwis endless handouts thats reserved for brown folk only.

  13. ‘Star Wars: Mandalorian’ Star Gina Carano Fired Over Social Media Posts

Gina Carano recently shared a post on social media that many interpreted as being a comparison between the treatment of conservatives today to the treatment of Jewish people during the Holocaust. “Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors…even by children. Because history is edited, most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views,” she wrote.

  14. Three Cast Members of Netflix Cheerleading Series Arrested for Sexual Misconduct With Minors

Last year, another star of the Emmy-winning series, Jeremiah “Jerry” Harris, was sued for “child exploitation and abuse” of twin brothers who were only 13-years-old at the time — then arrested a week later for “enticing an underage boy to produce sexually explicit videos and photos of himself.”

Harris was charged with one count of producing child pornography and later seven more counts related to allegations that he solicited sex from minors while at cheerleading competitions.
