  1. First up!!

And a very good morning to you all my fellow deplorables.

It’s dark and a mild 6 Degrees here in the Central Waikato and with no rain forecast, we are once again in ‘Drought’ conditions (At least, so NIWA would have us believe).

Luxflakes still seems to be in charge (At least in his own mind), but despite that inconvenient detail, I hope that you all have a great day, keep safe and, as always, DLTBGYD!

  2. Morning, Is the craze of emptying peoples mail boxes happening around other places? Or is it just Hamilton? If you have a lock on your mailbox, bending the flap so you can get the mail out? Then ripping it up and leaving it on the ground, in some places then taking it to a different address and throwing it all over the ground? Yesterday there was a lot of mail around Glenview, Hamilton Hospital and some other places around Hamilton the young guy next door said it’s all on social media so I have no idea. I had a hospital appointment which I would never have known about had I not picked the trash (I thought it was) and found it, a card from someones mail for others and all sorts of mail, I give up now, once mail it being tampered with, which I thought was an offence to mess with someones mail????
Have a good day and be safe, you never know which way they can mess with you.

  3. Julian Assange just scrubbed the Democrat email leak stuff from his website as part of plea. Was it all about the Biden crime syndicate after all?

With-holding verdict on Covid Inquiry until we see people punished and the laws forever changed so that such lockdown nonsense and being forced into pharma cult can never happen again. A stern frowny emoji will never cut it.

  5. Timaru Mayor finds the number of mayors against Māori ward referendums “strange”.

    https://www.newstalkzb.co.nz/on-air/mike-hosking-breakfast/audio/nigel-bowen-timaru-mayor-says-the-governments-maori-ward-changes-make-sense/

Te Pati Maori says claims against Manurewa Marae – say a lot about how its processes are viewed?

The Public Service Commission is investigating claims information collected at the marae was used during the Party’s election campaign — which it denies.

Returning to Parliament for the first time since the claims emerged, Co-leader Debbie Ngarewa-Packer says the Party welcomes the review — and stands by the marae.

She says it shows any time Maori try to do something to engage more people in “democracy”, they aren’t allowed to do it the way they need to.

  6. Anyway, in breaking news the Brynderwyns are finally open again. Hopefully the Northland economy will start moving again. Everyone is dead in the water at the moment and we can’t hang on by our fingernails forever.

    • Not just there. every where it seems.
I work with a National group and the only ones having much to do are in the South Island.
The north is dead even in the big cities.

Builders going bust, watch out for wolfbrook. Lots of kaianga Ora building . That cheque book has been closed off.
Watch out for the Williams from Christchurch. Selling everything they can. In the Herald yesterday. Plane. Yatch, sections , own houses.
      Change of direction.
      Yeah right.

      • The average cost for a KO house was $6500/sm. I realise cost have gone up in 6 years but that much? Must be very flash state houses.
6 years ago our house in St Kilda built by Downey homes, cost $3200 /sm and that was when the average was $2200

        • I was doing a fair bit of work for K.O a while back but that appears to have dried up – either that or they’ve found a Maori to help them. No joke, a mate of mine who is part Maori does a fair bit of contracting for them, they want to give him all their work due to some clause they have that says they must give x amount of work to Maori owned companies. He hasn’t got the staff or machinery to do everything and doesn’t want to put too many eggs in one basket anyway He’s no dummy.

    • If it is a problem now, bear in mind that there was a rush by government departments, local councils etc., to get the money spent, before the end of the financial year at the end of June.
Then the tide will truly turn in July.

July is going to become a hard month, & onwards, as when will the new contracts, tenders, or plans go out, with what new conditions etc..?

Will there be coloured paint around for rainbow crossings?

  7. severe bullshit warning.
Golriz Ghahraman’s theft of dresses, accessories and tops from three high-end boutiques was described as “loss-reactive shoplifting” at a sentencing hearing this week.

On Monday, defence lawyer Annabel Cresswell told Judge June Jelas in the Auckland District Court that the former Green MP had a “clear diagnosis of Complex PTSD” with two key contributing factors: Her early life in war-torn Iran and the “public vitriol, threats and abuse” she experienced in Parliament.

Ghahraman is pushing for a discharge without conviction and is due to learn her fate this afternoon, after Judge Jelas reserved her decision.

Although there is a relatively low prevalence of Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD), for those with the condition, the symptoms can be debilitating.

    • Of course she will be discharged without conviction. It has been signaled by the court in every statement this week.
      No jail time.
      Female judge friend of gollyg
      Suffering from ptsd.
If this is used as an excuse, one has to wonder if the “river of filth” protesters facing convictions , could say that because of police brutality and vitriol, they too are suffering ptsd?

      17

      0

      • Furthermore, golly’s sentencing, or lack thereof, is proof of time travel, as by all accounts it was not just a recent activity.

Her later stress, caused by guilt from her actions, caused her to experience a temporal displacement in time and shoplift in the past to create the subsequent later guilt and stress from hiding her actions and experiencing guilt.

Same as an ex PM. The abuse she received as a result of vaccine deaths and injuries, and said mandates, as well as broken businesses and families, caused her temporal shift to do those things in the past as a result of stress of the job in the the future.

        11

        0

        • Dylan, you should have expanded on the causes for her stress and PTSD.

Being bought up close to the Turkestan border, in Mashad, Iran some 1,834 kilometers away from where the Iran / Iraq War was being fought on the Shat -al -Arab, must having impacted profoundly on her. Then to be taken by her obviously non caring and destitute Parents from Malaysia to Fiji of all hostile places, before stopping off in Auckland, must have toppled her, right over the edge. After all, she was 9 years old when this all happened so she has had a lifetime burden to deal with.

Bearing in mind, the Iran / Iraq War commenced on 22nd September 1980, well before this fake refugee was conceived or born, so this must also have impacted greatly on her. Poor wee lying petal.

          9

          0

            • Ed, no doubt the Judge will take that into account when she pulls out the wet bus ticket this afternoon and probably sentence Ghahraman to a bout of Grief Counselling for residing in Auckland as part of the harsh punishment the Court will hand down.

            • After watching that Dickason woman being sentenced for killing her kids last night and realising the anguish she must be going through – I’m not trying to excuse her but, let’s face it there are no winners here and she is clearly a broken woman to the degree that just about everyone including her husband and both families have forgiven her speaks volumes about where she is mentally. Then we have Golly G concocting a story about mental illness. That thieving lying rag.head scrubber should be convicted and sent back to where she came from. Concocting this bullshit story just belittles those really suffering from mental illness and cheapens her even further if that is possible. As an alternative she could be put in a padded cell and be forced to watch endless reruns of Guy Williams doing stand up. I’d rather take my chances in Iran.

    • Having to put up with unfunny Guy as a partner would probably give anyone ptsd, Im sure his presence would cause involuntary hand movements of making a fist and it suddenly heading in his direction. That being said its no reason for a weak woke judge to essentially give her a free pass to shop lift. How may others will hear that, go to court and try use the excuse I have ptsd it made me do it. Or was it her star sign identifies as a thief so it is just part of her nature or what ever stupid excuse young females can come up with today so they are not accountable for their own actions.

      11

      1

    • golly g narcicism far excedes here ptsd and other mental health excuses.
her statements are all me me me im a victim me me me, poor me i had to tell the world about my struggles, me me me me, oh poor me.

give her a wet bus ticket for the shoplifting but 8yrs minimum non parole jail for her bullshit and exagerated excuse.

Rusty Relics: Giving vintage machinery destined for scrap a new life
    https://www.1news.co.nz/2024/06/27/rusty-relics-giving-vintage-machinery-destined-for-scrap-a-new-life/
A warning sign at the Westland Industrial Heritage Park reads ‘Retired person on premise. Knows everything and has time to tell it.’

The former DOC historian is working to restore a steam engine that drove the Gilbert & Tomasi sawmill from 1912 to 1937.

Behind the engine is an old Birmingham boiler, once used in an Auckland foundry, which eventually powered a coffee grinder in Hokitika. According to Staton, the company ground “four pounds of coffee beans per minute”, and the coffee was sent nationwide.

    • Ancient machinery fascinates me. Heavy, underpowered & primitive most of it was but the fact that it was ever invented then made with the limited processes available of the times is amazing.

Two of the best collections I’ve come across are the Golden Bay Machinery & Settlers Museum just out of Collingwood & the East Coast Museum of Technology in Gisborne.

      12

      0

        • Definitely not at Collingwood. The emphasis there is very much on agricultural machinery. Can’t recall seeing a Humber 80 at Gisborne though there are a lot of vehicles of the same vintage.

The Humber 80 & Hillman Minx were the standout quality cars of a collection of Pommie made junk foisted upon us in the 50s & 60s. Well made & comfortable, their only real fault being a weak first gear which made a noise resembling a concrete mixer full of nuts & bolts.

Then along came the Hillman Imp but we won’t go there. 🙂

  12. wtf, weve got several flyers in the mailbox the last 2 days from 3 local primary schools each inviting the community to a matariki breakfast with a morning of “whanau activities”.
no mention of an entry fee or koha so it begs to question who is paying for this shit?
surely the govt of spending cuts wont be allowing state schools to blow money on this fucking bullshit!!!… oh wait, luxo is in charge 🙁

is this a southland thing or have others on here got invitations from local schools?

    • Well this wont surprise you SB but special Waimate Matariki Market Events Workshops are being held in Waimate in conjunction with the normal Waimate Market.
If you attend you will be able to – I presume – learn all about Kope Tautaiao – Reuseable Nappies. Actually that was all there was when I was a young dad.
Then there is Microgreens / Maara Raupihi what ever that is followed by the piece de resistance –
Ikura / Reuseable Period Products. That sounds good, will be able to stop supplying them in Men’s Toilets.
Finishes off with Composting 101 which to me the whole morning is full off.
Even better my wife has now been invited to catch a bus at 5.30 am in order to go up to the White Horse to Sing to the Stars and have breakfast – a Maori one so perhaps someone is bring the KFC and Savs.
The best thing though SB is that all this is being held Saturday Week – 6th July. Waimate is now only 8 days behind the rest of New Zealand.
PS – The invite is to my wife from the Council because of a Community position she holds – a small clue as to whom is paying.

      • nothing screams matariki and a “significant day for maori” like reusable nappies and period products!!!
i guess moon cups sorta go with the theme of stars.

its fucking bullshit, the cost to this country is horrific just to have some woke day off to celebrate yet more made up fake bullshit maori crap.
the lost productivity and cost to employers is only half of it, tax/rate payers then have to pay out the arse to fund all the other shit that goes along with it.

  13. How Climate Racketeers Aim To Force Us Into Smart Gulags.

Shocking evidence is emerging from Australia and New Zealand of how the climate scam is being used to impose a techno-totalitarian smart-city future. The sinister scheme in question is called “Managed Retreat”.
The UN’s smart gulag agenda was paraded in their 80-page booklet entitled “Centering People in Smart Cities: A playbook for local and regional governments”.

  15. I’m not exactly Simeon Brown’s greatest fan but I have to accept that he can read the room. From https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/politics/transport-minister-simeon-brown-unrepentant-about-cuts-to-cycle-lane-funding-to-pay-for-potholes-and-roads-in-govt-transport-plan/ETM7Z2BF5REI7FIJ3ZN6MAVZWY/

    # “Transport Minister Simeon Brown was unrepentant about cutting funding for cycling and pedestrian measures to put into pothole repairs and new roads as he released the Government’s final transport plan.”

    # ” “I think most New Zealanders have seen over the last few years the priorities have been in the wrong places, with cycle bridges and cycle lanes when our roads are falling apart. So we are focusing on the basics.” ”

Today’s kids are too lazy & too cosseted by their helicopter mothers to ride bikes yet billions are wasted so that lycra clad road lice can have the choice of riding in their special space or clogging up the roads. The car owner pays for everything so let him get some value for money.
