The University of Otago has revealed the scope of its ambition for a presence in Queenstown – which is tied to a broader push to diversify the tourist town into a tech town, too.
Vice-chancellor Grant Robertson says an undergraduate degree in entrepreneurship (enabled through a partnership with Queenstown Resort College) and a new post-grad degree in digital technology are set to be taught in Queenstown from next year.
“It’s new territory for us,” Robertson told the Herald – geographically, and in terms of the approach to creating the curriculum courses taught at the satellite campus.
“For the most part, universities arrive in a town and say to people, ‘Here’s our product, please would you use it?’
“What we’re doing is co-designing courses with the technology companies.”
The world’s largest cybersecurity firm, Palo Alto Networks, has already signed on as a partner.
A second tech giant is set to be announced within weeks, according to Robertson and the firm’s country manager. Others will follow, from AI and other tech sectors.
All going to plan, Otago University’s three-pronged Queenstown push will see:
2027: Launch a Master’s in Digital Technology with 50 students using temporary facilities in Frankton.2030: Open purpose-built facilities to support 500 students.Long term: Campus with 1000 to 3000 students.Otago pro vice-chancellor Professor Richard Barker relocated to Queenstown last week, where he’s taken up a new role overseeing the university’s new beachhead.

When human rights rhetoric ignores reality: A response to Helen Clark – Samira Taghavi
Samira Taghavi is an Iranian New Zealander and barrister based in Auckland.
THE FACTS
Helen Clark criticised the Government’s response to strikes on Iran, calling it a “disgrace” and the attack a breach of international law.
Prime Minister Christopher Luxon has expressed New Zealand’s support for actions to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.
Many expat Iranians have celebrated the strikes by Israel and the US, highlighting Iran’s oppressive regime under the Ayatollah.
Former Labour Prime Minister Helen Clark has described our Government’s response to the recent targeted strikes on the Islamic Republic of Iran as a “disgrace”, arguing international law has been breached and diplomacy should have been allowed to run its course.
As someone who has lived in and suffered under that republic, I dissent from Clark’s view. In short, our Government should be commended on its principled position.
I attended Clark’s AUT talk last Thursday and left with the distinct impression that she is quite unaffected by realism. Having introduced myself there, I explained that I had practised law in Iran until the age of 24, that I had been imprisoned, tortured and lashed by Islamic Republic thugs and that I continue working in human rights advocacy now in New Zealand.
I asked what I consider to be the central question when every peaceful mechanism has failed – when UN resolutions, special rapporteurs, Human Rights Council sessions and diplomatic negotiations have not dismantled the regime’s coercive machinery: “What is left to save us?”
The doctrinaire response was that apparently only a toothless cycle of failed steps is available – and its inefficacy is just how life is.
As for the breach of international law argument, it is not unusual for non-legally qualified people, like Clark, to assume that certainty lies in the legal texts, from which they take strength. But going deeper, it is very arguable that the American/Israeli position is legal. Even so, using legal text as the reason not to save people is unredeeming.
When I pressed on how international actors should weigh external legality against internal regime brutality, there was no substantive answer, but instead vague confidence expressed in the ballot box.
Paddy died in a fire and was burnt pretty badly, so the police needed someone to identify the body. His two best friends, Seamus and Sean, were sent for. Seamus went in, and the mortician pulled back the sheet.
Seamus said, “Yup, he’s burnt pretty bad roll him over”.
So the mortician rolled him over. Seamus looked and said, “Nope, it ain’t Paddy.”
The mortician thought that was rather strange, and then he brought Sean in to identify the body.
Sean took a look at him and said, “Yup, he’s burnt real bad; roll him over.”
The mortician rolled him over, and Sean looked down and said, “No, it ain’t Paddy.”
The mortician asked, “How can you tell?”
Sean said, “Well, Paddy had two arseholes.”
“What? He had two arseholes?” asked the mortician.
“Yup, everyone knew he had two arseholes. Every time we went into town, folks would say, “here comes Paddy with them two arseholes”
Mitre 10 has accused rival Bunnings of using its overwhelming market dominance to secure an exclusive hardware delivery deal with Uber Eats, unseating the smaller retailer.
The hardware war has led Mitre 10 to lodge a complaint with the competition regulator, accusing Bunnings of pushing Uber Eats to make its deal exclusive across the hardware category. https://bit.ly/4rEVl7g
This appears to be Australian news – not here (yet), but if it is as successful as when Woolworths needed UberEats drivers to deliver groceries when overwhelmed with orders, it won’t last long.
I had my groceries delivered by someone who would only carry one bag at a time as her other hand was busy scrolling her phone, had to come back with some items that had rolled under her car seat, didn’t appear to speak English, and was an hour over the delivery time.
Woolworths stopped using them the following week due to complaints (and not just from me). Having a few kilos of cement delivered by them might be worth the amusement factor though…
Morning all, another chilly but lovely looking day up here. Looks like a tropical low is heading our way mid next week. Too early to tell if it will hit us yet, the one thing for sure is we’re going to get wopped by a heavy burst of weather porn closely followed by a raft of dire rainfall predictions that probably won’t happen but will scare the bejesus out of half the population. If there is any flooding it will happen in low lying areas where only an idiot would build and be caused by blocked creeks that haven’t been cleaned out in years, this is commonly referred to as climate change by the local council.
A point that could be noted by NZTA & district council roading “experts”. It may be coincidence but the areas worst hit by “weather bombs” caused by “climate change” also have the fewest unclogged, rubbish/debris clear watertables & culverts in the country.
Had a look on Windy.com I doubt it will be of any significance as it develops too far south to be a serious tropical storm. Anyway, what will be will be. Fuck all any one can do about it…
i think youre jealous as per usual, probs cuz a few hours of diving for yellow rocks gets a holiday curtain cleaners can only dream of////
ill shout you some flights old boy, you need some chill time and maybe then you wont be a miserable git for once. im sure being the non bludger you claim to be you can sort your own accom and food lol.

Regarding that Jacinda toilet roll, they would make as make money again by making a helun Clark one too! Wish they would have made bobble heads to go on car dash!
I see Jacindas book which I think was written someone else has been short listed to win an Occam award. I’m thinking of getting hold of a Mills and Boone book, putting a new cover on it and entering the competition. With the bar being set so low I should be a shoo in.
Spain doing a great job whinging about toursits who are now avoiding Spain – ditto US Military next Starmer will give them Gibralter, Id tell em to stick up their **** with Starmer as a bonus there’s plenty of room !!!
so if trump demanded nz join in would you be happy? (im sure the super brave war lover rol will be first to go fight ay//// )
what about the next war too? it may not be trump but theyll have the same power… send your sons or grandsons to be cannon fodder in another oil war or else your country gets economically crippled.
I don’t love war. But I hate terrorists more. The Iranian people have been begging Israel and the USA to decapitate the leadership. Trump et al obliged.
The base, that was ok’d previously, probably with pretty much US taxpayer monies, & then the continuation of it, probably paying Spanish people, for other services, foods, cleaners, that would employ a number of Spainards.
So the Spainards lend an umbrella, pocket that money, but want it back as soon as there are a few spots of rain despite the agreement.
In the mean time Spain profits by not bothering to have even a defensive military force.
It is still & always up to Spain, just how far it goes it, like consripting its people to fight wars.
In the mean time welcome half a million illegals from mostly North Africa & give them amnesty.
Will they go & sign up to fight ???? ….yeah nahh ….
Seems that Spain will find it is much more than be gas-lighting

Government is planning to introduce new road rules over cycling passing distance of 1m and 1.5m.
The bastards have put miles of cycling lanes everywhere.
My idea is you stick to your lane and and I will stick to mine and I ain’t going to cross the centre white dividing line into opposing traffic to give you extra room!
But they have done nothing about riding two abreast as a lot of cycle lanes are not wide enough and I will give them a horn blast to move them over.
I believe if there is a lane legally you ride in it.
Nothing about road lice riding in packs either.
Missed an opportunity to tax ebikes and e scooters too!
There thousands of the bastards, that could be taxed, specially hire ones!
All it requires is a simple amendment to the Road Transport laws to the effect if they don’t move over after a single blast from a vehicle horn then they become a legitimate target. Any driver who subsequently reduces one of the wobbly fools into roadkill is exonerated on the spot.
That will clear up the problem. Sooty for Prime Minister!
Bomber (bit ironic really) Bradbury’s headline:
“War on Iran is an illegal and murderous adventure that must be stopped”
Zelda replies: “Iran is a seething viper’s nest that has poisoned global peace for over a generation, so President Trump has unleashed the apocalyptic fury of American might! Evil demands to be scorched by righteous hellfire. Iran festers as a demonic breeding pit of terror and venomous hatred against God’s eternally chosen fortress of Israel and the sacred Christian virtues we hold dear. Just as God hurled blazing brimstone upon the sinful cesspools of Sodom and Gomorrah, America must obliterate those who dare assault liberty, faith, and divine harmony. This ain’t mere politics, it’s full-throttle spiritual Armageddon! Trump, anointed by the Almighty Himself, stands as the divine warrior to safeguard freedom from the abyss!”
Bomber can go and defend Iran as far as I am concerned. All these people condemning this action have no fucking idea what Persian people have been through since 1979. Watch” Not without my Daughter” to get an idea.
….”Iran festers as a demonic breeding pit of terror and venomous hatred against God’s eternally chosen fortress of Israel and the sacred Christian virtues we hold dear”……

Prices have increased again in the latest Global Dairy Trade auction, held overnight, with a 5.7% jump across the board.
This is now the fifth consecutive rise since the start of the year, following a 3.6% lift in the previous auction, and a 6.7% leap at the event before that.
Whole milk powder – which has the biggest impact on Fonterra’s farmgate milk price – was up 4.5%, to an average of US$3863/MT.
Skim milk powder – Fonterra’s second-biggest reference product – recorded the largest increase at the auction, rising a whopping 9.1%, to an average of US$3243/MT.
Mozarella was the second highest, up 7.9%, to an average of US$4189/MT.
booming time, fonterra supply all milk products to them for 10? years. the brands only gave a 5-6% roi and requires a few billion in investment to upgrade to keep in the game whereas other dairy products return 15-20% esp the service industry and its already built and working.
win win for fonterra farmers, stupid town folk think the likes of tiptop icecream etc is nzs biggest dairy earner lol, not even close, theyre a liability not an asset.

well its been a long time since ive been in aussie. in 2009 when myself and mrs sb left nz aussie was noticably more expensive to live, very noticable esp groceries and factoring in exchange rate it was even more horrific but aussie wages well and truly compensated the gap.
then 2012 when we returned to nz we expected cost of living to drop… nup, by then nz was about the same price as aussie and nz wages were about half or less than half of aussie wages making it even more painful.
fast forward to today, holy fucking shit things are very cheap here even if you factor in exchange rates many grocery items are far cheaper than nz, the wages are still alot higher here too and i googled up rents and theyre pretty comparable to nz main centres too, some areas far cheaper.
yup, well i dont think the exodus of kiwis heading to aussie is going to reside anytime soon.
unless nz goes full socialist utopia (which will be pointless and end in complete collapse) with min wage to $35-40, grocery prices, rent, rates, power all get capped then aussie is always going to be far better for kiwi wallets and futures.
but yea lets just keep on pandering to special ppl and their treaty… the big issues ya know///
…..”well i dont think the exodus of kiwis heading to aussie is going to reside anytime soon”……
Comrade Silly Boy need not worry. The combined intellectual prowess of Tovarishch Luxon & Tovarishch Hipkins have come up with a plan so cunning you could stick a pin in it & call it a weasel.
Yes! After the elections no-one will be permitted to leave the country. All departure lounges at the international airports will be burnt to the ground & all yachts larger than a P class dinghy will be impounded by the state. Waka will be exempt as the special people have forgotten how to navigate past the estuary anyway.
In recognition of her vast experience in locking up & down of citizens Comrade Ardern will return as Kommisar of Prison Aotearoa.

no, but there was a haka by the beach yesterday ffs.
aussie is also noticably more racist than nz, was back in 2012 and still is. kiwis are cucks and go along with it, theyre happy to be frogs in a warming pot. aussies on the other hand are pretty fucking blunt and quick to call it out just their govt like many western govts are trying their darndest to dilute those voices by importing the enemy.
aussie is still at least 10-15yrs behind nz with the pandering to natives, i dont even think theyll get anywhere as near as bad as nz and the treaty shit. aussies will probably get violent opposing it whereas kiwis will just pretend to take action by yelling at clouds on political blogs and let it happen
Racist. Whataya got against maor..aww fuck it. The clack bunts will ruin New Zealand. Aussies unreal, but like Viking, I’m too old to return there. “HEY VIKING!! F YO…I mean..I’m going to the beach shortly.

Israel Hacked Tehran’s Traffic Cameras for Years Before Killing Khamenei: Report
Israel spent years hacking nearly every traffic camera in Tehran to spy on Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s bodyguards and senior officials.
The Financial Times has now revealed that surveillance operation as just one of hundreds of intelligence streams that converged for Saturday’s deadly strike on the compound of Iran’ Supreme Leader.
Encrypted footage from the hacked cameras was transmitted in real time to servers in Tel Aviv and southern Israel.
One camera angle was particularly valuable: it captured where Khamenei’s security guards parked their personal vehicles near the compound, allowing for detailed information gathering on their addresses, duty schedules, and the officials each man was assigned to protect.
Combined with deeply penetrated mobile phone networks, AI-driven data analysis, and a CIA human source inside Iran, the intelligence picture met the threshold Israeli military doctrine demands: two senior officers, working independently, must confirm a target’s location before a strike of this magnitude is authorised.
“We knew Tehran like we know Jerusalem,” an Israeli intelligence official told the Financial Times. “And when you know a place as well as you know the street you grew up on, you notice a single thing that’s out of place.”
The intelligence flowed from three sources — Unit 8200’s signals directorate, Mossad’s human assets, and military intelligence analysts — into what officers describe as an assembly line with a single product: high-profile Iranian targets.
To sort through the volume, Israel applied a mathematical method called social network analysis, parsing billions of data points to uncover decision-making centres, and to flag individuals for surveillance — and ultimately, assassination.
In the hours before the strike, Israel disrupted roughly a dozen mobile phone towers near Pasteur Street, making phones appear engaged when called, and cutting off the protection detail from possible warnings.
Israeli jets had been airborne for hours before firing up to 30 precision munitions on the compound in broad daylight.
The Israeli military said the morning timing “allowed Israel to achieve tactical surprise for the second time, despite heavy Iranian preparedness.”
According to the Telegraph, Operation Epic Fury also involved US cyber attacks that opened a corridor for Israeli jets to reach the compound.
General Dan Cainem, chair of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, told reporters the initial phase was “designed to daze and confuse” Iran, with “coordinated space and cyber operations” that left their adversary “without the ability to see, coordinate, or respond effectively.”
As The Daily Declaration reported when the strikes broke, the opening salvo killed more than 40 senior Iranian security and regime figures alongside Khamenei, including IRGC commander General Mohammad Pakpour, senior security adviser Ali Shamkhani, and several members of Khamenei’s immediate family.
Former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was also killed.
The Daily Declaration also covered Iran’s long internal unrest in the months leading up to the weekend’s attack.
The Israeli operation was the culmination of two decisions more than 20 years apart, former Mossad official Sima Shine told the Financial Times.
The first was a 2001 directive from then-Prime Minister Ariel Sharon to Mossad chief Meir Dagan: make Iran the priority above all else. “What I need is Iran,” Sharon told Dagan. “That’s your target.”
The second was Hamas’s October 7, 2023 attack — which Israel holds Iran responsible for backing — and it overturned a longstanding Israeli principle that even heads of state were off-limits for assassination.
Each successive coup made the next more conceivable: the 2024 killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, followed by Mossad’s booby-trapping of thousands of Hizbollah pagers and radios.
Then came last June’s 12-day war, in which more than a dozen Iranian nuclear scientists and senior military officials were killed in the opening minutes as Iran’s Russian-built aerial defence radars were simultaneously destroyed.
“In Hebrew, we say, ‘With the food comes the appetite,’” Shine explained. “In other words, the more you have, the more you want.”
Khamenei had publicly mused about the possibility of his own death, dismissing it as inconsequential to the fate of the Islamic republic.
On Saturday morning, he was not in either of his two bunkers. He was in his offices — and the bombs found him there.
This video tends to negate the harpies such as Helen Clark & the commie filth that clog up the nation’s kerbs with their incessant blathering about Palestine.
Yes. Iranians are grateful to Trump for giving them a chance to get rid of the dead weight the mullahs impose on their society. They’re not a pack of animals like the Palestinians. They are educated men & women needing help to overthrow religious tyranny.
yea i was thinking about the poor company who he has his life insurance with.

taking out netenyahu and his cronies would probably be a much quicker way to bring peace to the middle east.
1979 when Khamenei took power was the beginning of the most prolific terrorism activity the western world has ever seen. Cutting the head off Khamenei the snake is excellent. Now to repeat the extermination as and when replaced.
Christchurch couple who found $232k in ceiling to receive $40k after High Court settlementA Christchurch couple who discovered more than $230,000 hidden in the ceiling of their home will receive a portion of the sum after a High Court judge approved a settlement forfeiting most of the cash to the Crown.
The money — $232,440 found in sealed plastic bags in the roof space of the property — will vest in the Crown, with the couple paid $40,000 under the court-approved agreement.
The High Court judgment was issued on Tuesday by Justice Osborne, in proceedings brought by the Commissioner of Police under the Criminal Proceeds (Recovery) Act 2009.
Arguments over ‘tainted property’
The police commissioner applied for a forfeiture order, arguing the cash was “tainted property”, meaning it had been acquired as a result of significant criminal activity, probably from drug dealing.
So despite that the poolice couldn’t establish how the money got there nor who put it there, they put the too honest people through the wringer and went to court with no substantial evidence to prove their claim.
Of course, the people were naive and should have required the judge to prove it came from drug dealing. e.g. was any of it tested for drug signatures and so on.

Anyone who can slap Clark down is worth reading. This lady is good.
Doesn’t take much to give Herr Clark a slapping!
You have to pay to read that article.
In Cambridge mitre10 has seen off Bunnings.
I guess us old fullas don’t like auzzie upstarts coming into our quaint little village
Me I can’t wait for Bunnings Super store to arrive.
We have small one in town and a building supplies five km away.
Feck me this is certainly a top of the first world problem so shouldn’t affect the average joe.
Yer, like everybody goes to Bunnings to eat or wants it delivered.
Don’t even get the sausage at our one, mind you I hate sausages!
Upvoted for hating sausages.
Fuck all any one can do about it…
Atmospheric river! Weather bomb! Climate emergency!
Meanwhile, the sun is shining…
Cold here this morning. My fav time of the year, Autumn has arrived. ☀️
Must be still dark on the Gold Coast.
Ain’t it peaceful?
Does YSB have an aussie equilevant?
you summonsed me?
you jealous vikey, or just miss my early starts?
As a caring landlord, Vikey likes to have a close personal relationship with his tenants – especially the ones who live in his head rent free.
Nah go back to sleep. It’s nice while your head is stuffed in the pillow.
i think youre jealous as per usual, probs cuz a few hours of diving for yellow rocks gets a holiday curtain cleaners can only dream of////
ill shout you some flights old boy, you need some chill time and maybe then you wont be a miserable git for once. im sure being the non bludger you claim to be you can sort your own accom and food lol.
the sexy bums and tight clothing on the sexy aussie girls and tourists will cheer anyone up, even someone like you!!!
He would need to go to Thailand, to check out their curtains!
..like Robbo’s?
Regarding that Jacinda toilet roll, they would make as make money again by making a helun Clark one too! Wish they would have made bobble heads to go on car dash!
I think if I had that toilet roll, Mr Bear would be too scared to come out of the cave.
Yer, but if that happens you will miss out on the opportunity to smear her face in shit, that’s the bit I like!

I volunteer helun and Jacinda along with Chloe! It’s only right!
Sooty
No, they’re all ‘Left’ (Or so they tell us)…
Left right out!
I don’t love war. But I hate terrorists more. The Iranian people have been begging Israel and the USA to decapitate the leadership. Trump et al obliged.
the dems in usa are begging the same for trumps administration too, you gunna support that aswell?
Umm, let me think about that. Uh , No.
That would seem to be over egging.
Trump seems to have the “matches” & smells the gas.

Seems that Spain will find it is much more than be gas-lighting

No wonder Keir Starmer did a hard turn, that is even before the British base in Cyprus was struck.
Britain had been too slow in allowing the United States to use British military bases. “President Trump has expressed his disagreement with our decision not to get involved in the initial strikes,” Mr. Starmer said,

Cool, Flamenco dresses are about to get whole lot cheaper.
The MAMALS and Greens cycle fanatics won’t stop demanding “their rights” until they’ve won a cycle lane the same width as vehicles have.
Give them an inch…
Yes, that inch seems to have been gained to 1.5 metres.
You are right, the whole vechicle lane too plus..
Zelda replies:
“Iran is a seething viper’s nest that has poisoned global peace for over a generation, so President Trump has unleashed the apocalyptic fury of American might!

Sounds like a bad time to sell half your assets to some French outfit.
booming time, fonterra supply all milk products to them for 10? years. the brands only gave a 5-6% roi and requires a few billion in investment to upgrade to keep in the game whereas other dairy products return 15-20% esp the service industry and its already built and working.
win win for fonterra farmers, stupid town folk think the likes of tiptop icecream etc is nzs biggest dairy earner lol, not even close, theyre a liability not an asset.
I don’t know why they put Ginny Anderson up against Mark Mitchell on Hosking. She’s a complete muppet.

well its been a long time since ive been in aussie. in 2009 when myself and mrs sb left nz aussie was noticably more expensive to live, very noticable esp groceries and factoring in exchange rate it was even more horrific but aussie wages well and truly compensated the gap.
then 2012 when we returned to nz we expected cost of living to drop… nup, by then nz was about the same price as aussie and nz wages were about half or less than half of aussie wages making it even more painful.
fast forward to today, holy fucking shit things are very cheap here even if you factor in exchange rates many grocery items are far cheaper than nz, the wages are still alot higher here too and i googled up rents and theyre pretty comparable to nz main centres too, some areas far cheaper.
yup, well i dont think the exodus of kiwis heading to aussie is going to reside anytime soon.
unless nz goes full socialist utopia (which will be pointless and end in complete collapse) with min wage to $35-40, grocery prices, rent, rates, power all get capped then aussie is always going to be far better for kiwi wallets and futures.
but yea lets just keep on pandering to special ppl and their treaty… the big issues ya know///
…..”well i dont think the exodus of kiwis heading to aussie is going to reside anytime soon”……
There will be no more talk of defections. Back to work peasants.

The Aussies have their own special people, plus loads of immigrants who are also special.
Have you had your Welcome to Country ceremony yet?
no, but there was a haka by the beach yesterday ffs.
aussie is also noticably more racist than nz, was back in 2012 and still is. kiwis are cucks and go along with it, theyre happy to be frogs in a warming pot. aussies on the other hand are pretty fucking blunt and quick to call it out just their govt like many western govts are trying their darndest to dilute those voices by importing the enemy.
aussie is still at least 10-15yrs behind nz with the pandering to natives, i dont even think theyll get anywhere as near as bad as nz and the treaty shit. aussies will probably get violent opposing it whereas kiwis will just pretend to take action by yelling at clouds on political blogs and let it happen
Racist. Whataya got against maor..aww fuck it. The clack bunts will ruin New Zealand. Aussies unreal, but like Viking, I’m too old to return there. “HEY VIKING!! F YO…I mean..I’m going to the beach shortly.

irans supreme leader, Khamenei has been replaced by the new supreme leader, Khamenei… good work, it took 20yrs in afghanistan to replace the taliban with the taliban so i guess trump can claim that as a win?
The new Ayatollah is the old Ayatollah’s second son. I’ll take a wild punt & bet $2 with odds of 100/1 that he’ll see out Ramadan alive.
Hope so. I suspect they know exactly where he is..
This is interesting if true from Facebook so I have copied and posted it all
Israel Hacked Tehran’s Traffic Cameras for Years Before Killing Khamenei: Report
It came from Trump.

so how many leaders do the jews and yanks slaughter before they give up? as the saying goes… sometimes youre better off with the cunt you know then the cunt you dont.
taking out netenyahu and his cronies would probably be a much quicker way to bring peace to the middle east.
1979 when Khamenei took power was the beginning of the most prolific terrorism activity the western world has ever seen. Cutting the head off Khamenei the snake is excellent. Now to repeat the extermination as and when replaced.
It doesn’t bother me greatly either way. For my money all religious nutters are expendable & there’s never any shortage of the garbage.
The police commissioner applied for a forfeiture order, arguing the cash was “tainted property”, meaning it had been acquired as a result of significant criminal activity, probably from drug dealing.
https://www.stuff.co.nz/nz-news/360946697/christchurch-couple-who-found-232k-ceiling-receive-40k-after-high-court-settlement
No one will ever tell them again.
Yup, find something, tell no one. Police and courts are idiots.
The people who told the cops are bigger idiots.
the electrician dobbed it in not the couple.
