Interesting yesterday. I went to the Doctor to get my regular prescription renewed. I said about it being for a year now, he said the Doctors Association (not to sure exactly which organisation) had agreed it should only be for 6 months, not a year.
This seems like the whole Maori thing, the Government says one thing – those involved do what they want.
But the yearly prescription filled by the doctor but 3 months supply can still only be collected from the chemist each time?
It’s all a bit unclear how the changes work.
Only a 6 month prescription and 3 months from the chemist – so only change is Doctor 3months to 6 months – but 3 months was often just over the phone and a payment of $20.
hassle your local mp and ask for a please explain then HP, if the govt says 1yr then the doc can get fucked.
if its long term/life time meds and nothing ever changes i see no problem with 1yr. bit different if dosage gets tweaked every 6mnths tho.

I also had the Doctor look at the inside of my ear – for some time, probably well over 6 months, I have had a scab on the skin, which can be itchy and I quite often pick at it, not always consciously. He said that could be either A or B but would be best to get a procedure done where a piece of tissue is examined so to determine what is what.
That’s all good I thought, go out to pay – $20 – and told that yes would book in for the procedure – it would be $150 for each 15 minute appointment and would take 30 minutes so $300. This is to take a piece of scab/skin from my ear.
To be it felt like when a firm putting your car through for a WOF tells you that you need to get this and that done, at great cost.
