  1. When even Claire Trevett can’t find something positive to spin about her bestie:

The PM would also do well not to cast stones while asking others not to do so – especially those who do not have her encyclopaedic knowledge of the rules.
Some mention has been made of the imbalance of power: the PM, who people know and have tended to trust, versus those she is criticising.
It was always a stretch for her to argue that people should not seek to blame or pillory others, while in the next breath doing just that herself over and over again.
She was one reason those people are now facing “the judgment of the entire nation”.
There is as yet no suggestion that the people who made mistakes in this cluster were motivated by malice or defiance: they were at best thoughtless and at worse reckless.
Yes, the consequences were dire. But the question Ardern didn’t ask was whether they were letting her down – or whether she (or at least officials) was letting them down, even if just a bit.

    • Cindy’s “propaganda” award!

I’ve been thinking about Cindy saying “two weeks of sustained propaganda”. Cindy heard the word this week and not understanding the history thought she would impress her “team of 5 million” using a big word in a sentence from her dais at the Cindy and Bloomers show.

Alternatively, Cindy does understand the full ramifications of what she said and is sending a not so subtle message to those who are opposing her. “Two weeks of sustained propaganda” will slow the push back being sent her way.

      propaganda | prɒpəˈɡandə |
      noun
1 [mass noun] information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote a political cause or point of view: he was charged with distributing enemy propaganda.
      • the dissemination of propaganda as a political strategy: the party’s leaders believed that a long period of education and propaganda would be necessary.

      • The only problem with propaganda as history repeatedly shows us, is sooner or later the prolls want to see some results. That’s usually the time the revolution kicks off. The problem we have is we need a Trump like figure to get things moving, and what do National give us? Uncle Fester’s religious doppelganger.

      • I think she slipped up big time. They probably use that word at their meetings, and now it has slipped out. She is not cogent enough to think quickly on her feet as is demonstrated every time a decent radio host grills her.

        • Wot ?
You mean Jacinda Kate Laurell Ardern is as dumb as a box of rocks
No Maori name in those 4 names.
Ardern is just exercising her white privilege.

          • The Mupperts should be in isolation now would they?
If the lockdown continues, no shows for Auckland and only 100 people in the rest of NZ. That’ll send them broke!
But never mind th PM is not in lockdwn so she gets her private viewing.

    • Like everything this useless govt attempts the circus music can be heard non stop.
We have a very REACTIVE govt when they should be PROACTIVE, mainly due to seeing the public/voters reaction and then basing decisions on that.

      • I don’t think this government should be either proactive OR reactive on the subject of the Chinese virus.

They should fuck off out of the way and let the country get on with its business and its social, cultural and sporting life unimpeded by their interference. This virus is NOT deadly and it’s NOT serious except for the elderly, the fat and the already sick and the government should allow us to take our own necessary precautions as we see fit.

  3. At a meeting of about 60 National Party members, including some MPs, party pollster David Farrar, of Curia Market Research, told MPs that he saw the party winning support by taking a stand on “cancel culture” issues.

Farrar was speaking at Metro Nat drinks on Tuesday night at Wellington’s Wellesley Boutique Hotel.

      • I should have added that Farrar does not seem to understand that people want politicians to advocate for things they really believe in and think will make the country or society better. They do not want to hear ideas that he (or any other party member) thinks “will be a winner” –that is just opportunism not real belief.
National desperately needs new blood in the “behind the scenes team”.

        12

        0

        • If National can figure out how to sell the concepts of “delayed gratification” and “working hard today for a better tomorrow” to an impulsive, lazy and low-IQ voter base, then they will have cracked it.

          12

          0

        • That is exactly Farrar’s style.
On behalf of Key he sussed what the great unwashed wanted and Key more or less delivered that.

“Those are my principles, and if you don’t like them… well, I have others.”

          • That’s the problem howitis. He had TDS to such an extent it did not allow him to think about why Trump is so popular –here was a “politician” (or really a person who got into politics –there is a difference) who really believed in what he was saying and when given the chance delivered on what said and promised.

    • If anyone needs to take ‘advice’ from a short, fat, bald, lefty with a speech impediment they are a sad unit.

Did he supply his credentials to them?
Fruity Farrar has not picked a referendum or election correct in over four years.
At best – because he is so unskilled- he relies on 538.

Is an unregistered Demonrat or at best ..
He is as lefty as they come (about Norm Kirk territory) and at best a RINO in US-speak or NINO in NZ when you look at traditional Notional values.

He is avidly anti-Trump and anti-Boris Johnson (who has been reduced to a blubbering wreck by the white anters) and picked Bill Shorten to win over Morrison in the last Australian election.

Farrar is anti free speech as demonstrated daily in his blog where he uses his left wing mates to restrict free and open speech.

Farrar himself is a white anter to the (former/has been ) Notional party as seen by their sad state today and recent election results.

What sort of fuckwit would take advice from Fruity Farrar unless they planned to run a Josef Stalin or Kim Jong Un type of Government ?

  4. Why is it with our Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and her Labour Party Colleagues that when something goes wrong it is always the opposition or someone elses fault never their own.
While I don’t endorse the social media attack on School Principals or the students you don’t have to wonder why people are pissed off as nobody likes shouldering the blame.

    • Yes I read that yesterday. However, trying to sort out good evidence from anitvaxxer conspiracy crap is proving difficult. The bottom line is the majority of the people who have had the vaccination are not experiencing major adverse reactions – yet. And that is where the problem lies. Not enough time has elapse to definitly state it’s safe, or not safe. No one knows the possible side effects down the track whether VADE or ADE could be a problem at some future date.

        • I through this lot understood communism.

When I was on a Scandi/ Euro bus tour in the 1980s we went to Scandinavia and exited via Sweden to East Germany and drove on a ‘corridor’ to West Berlin.

Perhaps someone from Commieville, formerly known as Wellington, could phone Angela Merkel for tips.
She grew up in East Germany after her father voluntarily left West Germany to go to communist East Germany.

However we know that they are deliberately being nasty pricks and divisive so would never do this.
A flashing Neon sign to their pure nastiness is holding up people for 8 hours as they drive into the infectious disease hot spot of Aucklandia .
          Pure malice.

  5. Wow didn’t Kelvin Davis often accuse National of this problem when in opposition and continually say this would happen on his or his Labour Party’s watch. Well it seems after last month’s riots at another prison and playing the blame game for Corrections Kelvin Davis has more violence examples of what is happening in our prisons.

    • FFS. I can’t remember which woman I interacted with in 1988. Seems a lot like the Kavanagh allegations. I can remember looking through old photos a while ago, and seeing pictures of me at parties etc. I could hardly remember even being there, and would battle to name any but a few of the other people there. Peoples memories are fickle, and shrinks tell us we actually alter the memory every time we revisit it. She could well have been raped, but got the wrong person. Any way his future is stuffed now any way as his enemies will throw this at him, especially the femmonazis.

  7. Yesterday there was an anti-lockdown rally at the Auckland Museum. About 60 people turned up (including yours truly) in spite of the rain – which let up as the rally started. Several cops were there – they threatened one of the organizers with a $4000 fine and up to 6 months in prison – the politics of kindness in action. This event was of course ignored by the mainstream media.

  8. In the meantime, the economy seems to be humming along.
    High levels of employment.
Apartments popping up all over Auckland.
    Record Auckland house prices.
    Stock market near record highs.
Super-cheap money (although US interest rates are climbing…)
Rental shortages great for property investors!
The legacy media all focusing on the amazeballs performance of the PM…

What will it take for the economy to tip into a recession?

    10

    0

    • All it will take will be a few thousand defaulting on their mortgages as they lose their jobs and inability to pay, then bank stocks sinking like a lead suppository, then Grunter and Orragorn stealing NZers’ savings and saving Aussie banks via the bail-in legislation passed a few years ago and already field-tested in Cyrpus, and lo! The NZ economy will swandive like a Rawhiti without a ‘chute getting off his Air Aotearoa flight while on short finals because he has to be first off the white man’s racist means of airborne conveyance.

    • I have noticed that many of the MSM websites have begging bowls at the bottom of their web pages.
      Not a good look.
If you can’t run a viable business, then it is time to find another line of work or to come up with a business model that works. Begging and corporate welfare are no way to run a business (unless you are a registered charity or a church that sell emotional salvation, promises, optimism and warm fuzzy feelz).

  9. Well last night i had to shoot to town to the olds and my very hormpnal pre menstural wife demanded a maccas cheeseburger, algood i thought and any man thats been in this situation knows not to mess with a woman in that state.
Anyways i took the drive through placed my order algood, went to first window and paid algood, then got to the food window and got blindsided with a fucking sign “please keep windows up untill staff have placed food on the tray and closed their window.
Me being me i wasnt winding my window up and when it came time for my food the muzzled douche inside refused to hand me my food, 20 seconds later the supervisor karen came along so fuck it i wound my window almost to the top maybe open 50mm and fark did karen have a bloody fit untill it was fully wound up.
Anways they fucked up my order so had to go in and complain, no dramas with intetacting inside.
Covid is super smart it cant infect ya at payment window or inside the building but damn its super deadly at the food window!!!

Btw this is in lil old Gore, opposite end of the country to any covid cases. Dont even know if theres been a single case there throughout the whole covid scam but ppl are sure making the most of their new found power and control

  10. Power and control over others.
How has this whole COVID-19 episode altered the conventional “power and control over others” dynamic?

Before 2020, who had “power and control over others”?
Who are the new people who now have “power and control over others”?
Will they be willing to give up their new powers once this pandemic panic blows over (which it will)?

    9

    0

    • It moved at the end of April 2020 from being a medical event to being a political event that uses a normal medical event as a political tool to exert control over others.
      Very simples.

      Q. Will politicians let go of control and using fear, division and extended ’emergency procedures’ with any willingness?
That is the question you need to answer.

      Definition of Emergency:-
‘a serious, unexpected, and often dangerous situation requiring immediate action’

This has been going on for more than a year so it is not an emergency.
Therefore these tactics are being used to play you .

      A. NO

I thought that was completely clear…unless you waste your time watching TVscum or TVtree or listen to cancel culture radioheads.

      12

      • ”This has been going on for more than a year so it is not an emergency.”
Let’s call it an “ongoing crisis”.

This whole COVID CONTROL CRISIS PLAN (CCCP) has become an intoxication for the government. Politicians are finding out so much about the psyche of the NZ public that they would never have known otherwise.

What new regulations or behaviors will the State push next?
As a (mostly willing) population, how low will we go? Will we snitch on our family members? Volunteer to be neighborhood watch marshals?

  12. Peter Williams reported Waititi has back tracked from his racist tweet yesterday. The tweet has been deleted and he now states it wasn’t him that posted it and the person who did so was not on the same page as him.

PW says Waititi is John Tamahere’s son-in-law. (so no nepotism involved in Waititi being elevated to a leadership role in the Maori party then.) //

        • No worries WG.

          The question is:
Is the extended Waititi ‘whanau’ as sneaky and dubious as the Hadfields – ah, Harawiras?

John Tamihere was ‘the next best choice’ for mayor of Auckland in 2019 – after Goofy.
          I abstained from voting.
He has a sleazy record not only with Roastbusters but also with his ‘dipping into’ Maori Trust funds.
Whilst I dont do radio I seem to vaguely recall he hung out with Willie Jackson.
          That is no quality endorsement.
I also though it weird in the Swedish Backpackers murder trial that John T claimed his brother David had such a tough unbringing with no opportunities but John went to a private school (St Peters) and on to university to do a BA LLB.
          It did not gel.

I dont know who peter Williams is and will not bother to find out.
          I dont do radio.
But seriously, one has to wonder if he openly quotes the Fruityblog does he want to be taken seriously?

          5

          0

          • I agree with you about Tamahere. I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw him. His number one priority is himself. Same as Jackson, etc. Tamahere and Jackson are mates. Jackson isn’t as intelligent as Tamahere but has a large ego and is entitled. Jackson’s best mate is Matt McCarten, both ex union workers. McCarten a socialist party political adviser for the Jim Anderton party and then the fat German’s party. Now a union organiser who diddled IRD. Tamahere and Jackson were MP’s together then Tamahere and Jackson did a session on Radio Live together for a few years. When that finished easy troughing drew Jackson back into parliament on the Labour list prompted by that other ex union man Angry Little.

Peter Williams worked for TVNZ his whole life, firstly in sports reporting, loves cricket. Then a weekend news anchor. He’s semi-retired now he’s on Magic Radio. He is old enough to retain some middle of the road views from before TVNZ went woke.

            6

            0

            • If Williams is TVNZ then not my turf.
I watched TV when there was one channel.
Then along came a second channel.

Only bought a TV in 1988 along with a VCR.
              So I could watch videos.
No need for commercial TV and all its ads
              Then 1991 added Sky TV.
Again no need to go to wanker city

I did watch tv1 in 2009 when I was staying with my father.
He sent me to my room as every article in the gnews was bollocks and I pointed this out.
I guess it is still the same.

So if Williams worked for TVNZ ‘all his life’ then he surely is part of the problem. and if he read some TV1 gnews- even if the weekend-then he was a promulgator of bollocks .
They don’t suddenly tell the truth in the weekend after lying all week, do they?

I am basically a TVNZ virgin and intend to remain pure.

I know about the people above.
Matt McCarten lives in the area.
He is the partner of the Scottish communist party Rep to aoterower, Cathy Casey -as left wing a critter as you will ever find. Casey Is one of the 20 Akl City councillors.

  14. Off the Voices for Freedom Telegram account:

Right now, in Auckland, a mother and her six month old baby are being detained in MIQ beyond their 14 day stay.
Why? Because the baby reached his six month milestone during their stay and suddenly requires an invasive nasal swab in order to be released. He didn’t need any prior as he was exempt due to his young age.
His mother has agreed to a saliva test, but as any mother can imagine, doesn’t want her baby to undergo the invasive nasal test.
The mother has tested negative THREE times and neither of them have any symptoms.
They have no opening window in their room and the only areas to get fresh air are the smokers’ area or the underground car park.
She has run out of baby food and is not allowed to receive care packages. There is also nothing in her room she can use to prepare food.
Is this where we are at, New Zealand? Where it’s ok to threaten a frightened mother with arrest and removal of her baby in order to get her to comply?
Hop on over to the blog to read our open letter to government officials urging them to step in and do the right thing.
P.S. This mother is one of many members of the public who has contacted us at Voices for Freedom about situations where they believe themselves or someone they know is being treated unfairly. Many describe frustration and fear that their rights and freedoms are under attack, including their ability to choose to decline medical tests and treatments. We will help wherever we can via our networks and in this case we extend our gratitude to Sue Grey for her legal advocacy in this matter.https://voicesforfreedom.co.nz/open-letter-to-government-officials-release-mother-and-baby/

      • And yet just like 2 weeks ago Watercare are not recording the rain having any impact on dams
        https://www.watercare.co.nz/Water-and-wastewater/Where-your-water-comes-from/Auckland-s-dam-levels

Watercare is ‘owned’ by Auckland Council -well the long suffering ratepayers .
Auckland Council declared a ‘climate emergency’ in June 2019
More than a year before their Labour mates in Wellywood declared a ‘climate crisis’

What his means is science is out the window.
        #Facts R for fools

With a crisis you can make up narrative; free of pesky facts.
Just find an obese pink haired pommy nutter to support your narrative; free of fact.

30+ mm rainfall in 2 days
Watercare: Yeah/Nah There was no rain.
Well OK a bit but it never got to the dams

So 60 mm of rain on 2+3 January 2021 got to the dams and added 5% storage
But 50+ mm of rain 6 weeks later on 15+16 Feb did not reach the dams

This rain defied gravity and science
It chose to go somewhere else other than where it has gone for years and years
Perhaps these nutbar liars had better move the dams //

Watercare- like pretty much every Govt Dept or local Govt entity- is LYING.

    di-di-di-dah-dah-dah-di-di-dit-dah-dah-dah-dah-dah-dah-di-di-dah-dit-dah-dah-dah-dah-dah

The Brigadier got into his little tank and went on a reconnaissance at 12:00 pm today to Ground Zero Papatoetoe and Otahuhu.

Main Street is a mess. Most shops closed. There were people out and about, a few wearing masks on the street. Went to Mickey D’s and had to keep window closed while food and coffee were delivered.

Corporal Wife and the Brigadier sat in these romantic surroundings in the MacDonald’s carpark to enjoy our rations.

On the way home the Brigadier stopped into Countdown Barrys Point Road. Once again it was a truly depressing sight of the stupid and the gutless. Perhaps 40 people in the supermarket. About 3 people only, not wearing the Coward’s Mask.

Hannah Tamaki says she will not have the COVID-19 vaccine, as her husband threatens legal action for journalists who reported the couple fleeing Auckland on the eve of lockdown.

“We are not the ones to say sorry,” she wrote.

“Everything in your life is a choice.. make sure you choose for yourself, not be talked into something you are not happy to do .. I’m not taking the vaccine.. that’s my choice..”

  20. Christian Porter is digging in, leaving Scott Morrison in need of a circuit breaker

The emotion appeared genuine, the talk of seeking help with his mental health understandable, but here’s the bottom line: Christian Porter is digging in.

He has no plans to stand down and doesn’t want an independent inquiry into claims he raped a 16-year-old girl in 1988. The Attorney-General acknowledged, however, this is not his call to make. Ultimately his political fate rests with the Prime Minister.

Porter’s extraordinary press conference professing his innocence on the allegation of rape (“I didn’t do it”), his anger towards the media (“No journalist has put the detail of the allegations to me in a way that would allow seeking a response, not ever”) and his fear of all of this might destroy the rule of law in this country, doesn’t alter the conundrum facing Scott Morrison.

    • So the politicians that threw the rank and file Aussie soldiers under a bus with respect to service in Afghanistan are now being thrown under a bus themselves?

Oh dear. How sad. Never mind!

Australia’s Inward Turn Earns a Faster Rebound Than Expected

A year of border closures is making Australia rethink its embrace of globalization. Before Covid, the country’s economic strategy was predicated on attracting large numbers of immigrants, foreign students, and tourists to supplement earnings from mineral and farm exports.

    • The trouble with immigrants is that they too eventually grow old and in need of welfare. Do you get around the problem by bringing in even more immigrants?
      How does that work, exactly?
What if the immigrants don’t share the values common to your nation’s culture? Who will be responsible for settling the social tensions that will inevitably arise?

      • My 2 cents.
Anarchy cares not for settling social tensions.
The more we claw at each others throats, the more power the instigators imbibe.
Common values from each culture will be combined, dilluted and presented as the building blocks for the ‘new normal’ world policies.
Aggressive takeovers are too messy and cumbersome The silent war we are experiencing, and losing, will probably lead us to a battlefield that we are purposely ill equipped to fight in.

  24. What happened to “Look at me, look at meeeeeeee”. PTPM gone AWOL. Bloody child.

“On Monday the PM had time for interviews with RNZ, Breakfast, The AM Show, The Hui, Newstalk ZB, a 45-minute press conference and a Facebook Live – all on a day when Cabinet was meeting. But today she apparently didn’t have time to do interviews or front the 1pm press conference,” the office National account tweeted.

The Opposition then continued: “You can’t use your powerful platform to blame your own Government’s failures on a south Auckland shift worker and then go to ground when it looks like you might have to apologise.”

Report: World Needs Equivalent Of Pandemic Lockdown Every Two Years To Meet Paris Carbon Emission Goals

The dramatic drop in global carbon emissions seen during the early days of the pandemic and global shutdowns would need to be matched every two years for the rest of the decade in order to meet the goals outlined in the Paris climate agreement, according to a new study, though the authors don’t recommend that the world rely on “lockdowns” to help battle climate change.

However, new regulations currently being considered by the Director-General of Health threaten to keep New Zealanders on the durries.

  28. The ‘real motivation’ for Maori wards
    by Clive Bibby

    Opinion Piece

I have no desire to cause Joe or any other members of my critical brigade a heart attack by misusing the common term: “some of my best friends are Maori”.

It’s not my fault that l have made quite a few genuine friends from the area where we’ve lived for the past 40 years and some, like Joe, are proud of their Maori heritage. I salute them for wanting to recognise their ancestry, take pride in their culture and play their part in making sure that it becomes an entrenched, well-documented section of this nation’s recorded history. I have spent a lifetime trying to do the same in recognition of my own family’s contribution to our nationhood.

NZME pulls racist article and bans Bassett
    From Mediawatch, 2:37 pm today

    Colin Peacock – mediawatch@radionz.co.nz & @MediawatchNZ

An article published in the Northland Age newspaper on Tuesday and on the New Zealand Herald website has been withdrawn after it was condemned as racist – and publisher NZME says it won’t publish Dr Michael Bassett’s work on its platforms.

Managing editor Curry is a fuck whit obviously. See what he says.

The Northland Age’s article – headlined ‘Racism on a grand scale’ and printed under the banner “New Zealand as we know it” – bemoaned what he called a “bizarre craze” of embracing Māori culture.

“All things derived from Europe, except our creature comforts, must be set aside as we are expected to embrace all things Māori,” he wrote.

“It won’t be long before the woke who are driving all of this insist on officially changing our country’s name.”

Mr Cooper moved on to edit Hawke’s Bay Today in 2018 and then became a member of the Media Council’s complaints committee.

In a Hawke’s Bay Today editorial last December, he reflected on a Broadcasting Standards Authority ruling that broadcaster Sean Plunket had “amplified negative stereotypes about Māori”.

“Racism is subtle. And racism is fertilised by ignorance,” he wrote.
    ========================
Yep his own included and it seems to me that he is totally ignorant of our past and our histroy.

  30. Five Eyes alliance urged to forge ties with Greenland to secure minerals

The Five Eyes grouping of Australia, Britain, Canada, New Zealand and the United States, should expand its framework to include “resource intelligence, technical collaboration, major project financing and supply chain integration for minerals and materials critically important to national and economic security”, the report said.
It is natural for the Five Eyes to target Greenland for its mining and rare earth potential because two thirds of the 41 licence holders in Greenland’s mining sector were linked to Britain, Canada and Australia, the report added.

  31. Between 6am on Sunday and 6pm on Wednesday, police received 917 notifications of possible breaches of alert level 3 restrictions.

Nassan said police are looking into a video circulating online, showing an interaction between two officers and a woman in Browns Bay, on the North Shore.

The woman reportedly cut tape off a playground to allow her children to play on it on Thursday afternoon.

Can’t find this at the moment but to say that the copper was intimidating towards the lady and her children is an understatement.
He behaved like a plonker because he was right.
Dozens of lefty plonkers thought that they should have arrested her and her kids. The copper even went after the kid on the jungle gym.
He was not managing his social distancing. The lady had a good video of the clown.

Give those bastards an inch and they think they belong to the Gestapo.

Now if it was a gong well the would have fucked off and left them alone.
That’s the current evidence against these coppers.
The Lady with the weird haircut at Auckland police is stamping her foot and they are going to investigate the mother and her kids at the playground.
