    • We’re a weird lot aren’t we?

We invite these scum into our parliament to discuss whether or not they have guns and if we’ll be allowed to ask them nicely to give them up. What we should be doing is descending on mass on the gangs and killing as many of them as possible . Then hunting down the survivors and finishing them off.

I’ve never understood why outlaws aren’t literally outside the law.

  2. : How does the CCP strangle you with your own system?
    https://twitter.com/i/status/1261015813840125952
    2 mins 18 secs.

    A precis of CCP intent.
Strangle you with your own countries system.
Observe how countries operate, noting what is controversial, how does the system function, then to use it to twist it.
Cause chaos, by making you stand by what you claim and use it against you.

Free Speech, so cause protests calling you out.
Free Press, to use state run media to lie to your population
Free markets, so put your markets by below cost, so your companies are out of business.
Racism, a controversy narrative that they use to make issues [now becoming an “asian” issue]

Physiological warfare:- how things are interpreted, sort of reinterpreted.
Media warfare:- manipulation control of outlets and influence into social media.
Legal warfare:- to manipulate international legal systems.
    — — — — — – – – – —

That would in some parts how the CCP rule their own people.
This rule is extended into other countries, like Confucius Institutes on University campuses, where influence in academia, media takes place, has been taking place for a decade or so, and now their many seedlings are arising.

Just see how many Chinese associations there are in New Zealand aligned with CCP principles of making “1 China”. 34 of them at this count, I posted over a week ago.

Now its long been established that consistency in law is the best reason for business to be in NZ. Looks like that’s gone now. Look for a lot more companies to exit operating here.
The action of the bright line tests and the no longer available interest deductions will have a significant affect on the building market. May projects are funded by presales which are usually resold once a project s complete. Those people who do this take risks with their capital and now there is no reward. Expect to see these types of projects fall by the wayside as banks won’t fund them without the requisite presales. A lot of houses are built the same way. People who buy sections, build for resale.
None of this is going to build more houses.

    • What Govts generally do not recognize is that peoples reactions to new rules result in decision being taken and implemented later when conditions suit and so often the predictable results come as a surprise as the consequences are usually as very unwelcome results. An example would be the re election of of proven liars and incompetents who promised safety from a minor virus and believing the propaganda voted for the perceived savior, as voter regret sets in new decisions will be made and implemented later and I hope those decisions result in the current collection of clowns being consigned to becoming the most hated party in NZ history with prospects of power a distant hope.

    • That super large container ship looks to be truly stuck, as the bow has lifted to go up, despite being fully laden.
How hard the stern may be wedged and whether the rudder and propeller is damaged or also having an wedging effect.

….. dangers associated with doing this, as it could cause damage and even unbalance the ship.
It would also be a delicate and time-consuming operation. …….

        • A big ship like that fully laden is designed to float, so the stresses on the hull, the spine, must be incredible, when one end is perched up, and just how jammed is the back end.

So far no sign of any breakage.

If she cracks and takes on water, then a real mission, as taking off the ballast water, fuel, and some containers will be for naught.

Balance of the ship with no ballast will become fraught when she begins to actually float,

The Dutch salvage team are well practiced, and I hope they have all the control of decision making, of what is going on.
          Make haste slowly & thoughtfully.

Or Blow the dead whale up on the beach. 🙂

On the basis of what has occurred, I suspect that a certain Suez Canal Pilot may well be looking for a job.

It takes a certain skill to wedge a vessel of that size at almost right angles to the traffic / water flow, yet noticeably, no mention is made of the individual (the Pilot) who would have been in charge on the bridge during the transit…

It’s almost as if what occurred was intended to cause the largest amount of ‘inconvenience’ to the greatest number of people for the longest possible time…

            ‘Coincidence, ‘accident’ or….?

Given that the Canal IS in the Middle East, there may be more to this than we are being told…

            (Just saying).

            8

            0

            • Usually 2 pilots are on board.
Back ground precedents shows the buck stops with the ship’s master, as he has the knowledge of how his ship responds, to rudder, thrusters, and engine room commands. etc..
              .
Suez Canal Authority documents posted online by Seaways Marine, a company that offers ship services in the Suez Canal and surrounding area.
              .
“Masters are held solely responsible for all damage or accidents of whatever kind resulting from the navigation or handling of their vessels directly or indirectly by day or night,” the document says.
              .
Because the canal pilot “cannot know the defects or difficulties of manoeuvrability for every vessel,” the final responsibility rests with the top officer on the ship.

              https://nationalpost.com/news/world/suez
              .
Though I doubt the pilots will get off “scot free”.
I wonder if they have a “black box” “voice tapes” of what went on the bridge?

Steerage in shallow waters can be affected, and also with a wall alongside can suck vessels in closer by creating different pressures on the hull, then that can flow on to the rudder.
Tricky as less speed, less steerage,
              More speed, usually better steerage.

Going crabwise with the wind, and it maybe in gusts, and a single prop at the back with a rudder does not really determine where the bow goes.
It is the stern that must move out to change direction..

The amount of tonnage is mind boggling when thinking of mass, then with some velocity, would give incredible momentum.

A 15 ship convoy I think and the ships behind did well in not piling in.
Though I would think radios would have been giving timely warnings.

Thinking of Team NZ’s sail, and on hydroplanes is said to develop 600 or more horse power.

      • Look at the picture on that BBC ‘news’ link.

That picture is totally fake. Viewed from above at that angle the name ‘Evergreen’ on the side of the ship wouldn’t look perfectly square in real life. There would be a parallelogram effect due to the perspective.

Either there’s actually no ship there at all, or they are faking the name for some reason.

        8

        4

        • I did wonder, but I think the perspective is from quite a height, then telephoto lensed, then digitally zoomed down, so parallelogram effects are really mininmized. then probably cropped,
Whether the ship also had a slight list?
The drone, helicopter, would have flown around doing a number of shots, and that would be among the best.
Probably white is digitally enhanced, though it stands out well in other photos.

In one of the articles, I like how the immediate ship of 15 managed to pull up in time, but ship behind it, nearly rammed it.

The difficulty of steering a ship is that it is the stern that first goes way to the right, a surprising distance, if you are turning left, before heading on to where the bow is pointed, that is when you straighten it up.
So with wind it can be travelling very much crab wise.

      • How long it takes to shift that amount of mud & sand, well there are some of the figures so one can do an off the top of the head figuring,
The real hard part is just how difficult the compacted sand and mud can be shifted from under the ship, whilst doing it relatively evenly.

….. Up to 20,000 cubic meters (706,000 cubic feet) of sand in the Suez Canal need to be removed to free the gigantic container ship ……
….. Dredgers are hard at work removing sand and mud from the bow of the ship — and they will need to move between 15,000 to 20,000 cubic meters (530,000 to 706,000 cubic feet) of sand in order to reach a depth of 12 to 16 meters (39 to 52 feet), which could allow the ship to float, the SCA said on Thursday.
That’s approximately eight times the size of an Olympic swimming pool. …..
…… a specialized suction dredger is now with the vessel and will shortly begin work. This dredger can shift 2,000 cubic meters of material every hour,” ……
….. re-floating the massive vessel is “technically very complicated” and could take days. …..

        https://edition.cnn.com/2021/03/25/middleeast/suez-canal-ship-sand-intl-hnk/index.html

It seems to be the way, and hopefully not break the ships back, keeping it in balance, while not creating a major list.

The Brigadier has been too busy this week working on his Sumerian studies and hanging out in the evenings at the KavaKava Bar in Auckland to attend to the lawns, the rubbish and the leaking tap downstairs.

But then could she possibly think she can pull off another announcement of the announcement after the Herald’s announcement of her announcement today?

    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2021/03/duncan-garner-why-the-ship-stuck-in-the-suez-canal-reminds-me-of-trevor-mallard.html

This is a traffic jam for the ages. Hundreds of ships are queued up. Tens of thousands of barrels of oil are stuck, but one thing is moving: the price of oil.

It’s risen by almost 5 percent. Now there’s an excuse for our service station owners to screw us even further. Thirty percent of the globe’s cargo is going nowhere.

Someone is going to lose their job, don’t you think?

“He’s unfit to be Speaker,” National MP Simon Bridges told The AM Show on Friday.

“The reason for that actually, you could go into lots of detail, is just this simple – within 24 hours of calling someone a rapist, he knew that that was a lie. Yet he continued for 18 months through court to take this man through the wringer.”

“I’d just say to Jacinda Ardern, have a good look at yourself and ask yourself whether you’re prepared to continue to defend this guy,” said Bridges.

For example, if the restrictions prevent you from visiting a dying relative or from attending a funeral, are you likely to vote for an opposition party, or are you really not intelligent enough to realize that, yes, you can indeed vote for a different party if you want to, and so you will keep on voting for Labour?

No expense claim on insurance, and rates.
No expense claims on maintenance or upgrades.

      https://www.mdpi.com/1648-9144/57/3/199/htm

      Quote fromth econclusion:

“A critical appraisal of phase III clinical trial data for the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine BNT162b2 and Moderna vaccine mRNA-1273 shows that absolute risk reduction measures are very much lower than the reported relative risk reduction measures. Yet, the manufacturers failed to report absolute risk reduction measures in publicly released documents. As well, the U.S FDA Advisory Committee (VRBPAC) did not follow FDA published guidelines for communicating risks and benefits to the public, and the committee failed to report absolute risk reduction measures in authorizing the BNT162b2 and mRNA-1273 vaccines for emergency use. Such examples of outcome reporting bias mislead and distort the public’s interpretation of COVID-19 mRNA vaccine efficacy and violate the ethical and legal obligations of informed consent.”

      • And here is why the CDC Foundation is to push the vaccines as one can see “conflict of interest” and possible collusion.
        .
The Foundation shall not be an agency or instrumentality of the Federal Government, and officers, employees, and members of the board of the Foundation shall not be officers or employees of the Federal Government.
        .
‘(b) PURPOSE OF FOUNDATION- The purpose of the Foundation shall be to support and carry out activities for the prevention and control of diseases, disorders, injuries, and disabilities, and for promotion of public health.
        .
The CDC has a webpage specifically stating the disclaimer that it and the CDC Foundation are independent of one another.
That’s like saying Google and Youtube are two different companies.
        .
The CDC is a quasi-government agency at best.
It presents itself as a government agency because it receives billions in tax dollars every year.
But it also receives funding from private corporations and organizations with vested interests.
There are no specific restrictions, other than an ethics code, enumerated in the law related to CDC Foundation endowments.
For those unfamiliar, unrestricted endowments mean that the funds are “meant to be used for operations or programs that are consistent with the wishes of the donor(s).”
        .
…. Gates Foundation gave $13.5 million to the CDC Foundation in 2013. But that’s just the beginning. …..
….. only the United States government gives more to the World Health Organization than the Gates Foundation.
Thus Gates is essentially orchestrating (and funding) this entire COVID agenda. …..

        https://thecovidblog.com/2021/03/23/cdc-foundation-is-not-a-government-entity-has-many-conflicts-of-interest/

In my opinion, the worst were the Russians and the Japanese, although not a single nation had an exemplorary record. Unfortunatly most of those who witnessed this are dying now, so the history is being sanitised, glossed over and forgotten. Re”woked” to fit the new agenda. Hopefully most will either raise rents to compensate or sell, and its a fallacy that the renters will suddenly buy up all these properties, I suspect the investment entities that have large portfolios will probably pick them up and the renters will be homeless and facing higher rents when they look for a new place. “A shock new case of coronavirus has been found in Queensland outside of hotel quarantine, the first locally-acquired case in weeks which has left experts stunned.

A 26-year-old landscaper from Stafford in north Brisbane tested positive to Covid-19 on Thursday night, and health chiefs fear he had been infectious in the community since last Friday.

During that time, the man visited venues across Brisbane including a Bunnings in his own suburb, a fresh food market in inner-city Newstead and Carindale shopping centre in the south-east.

Queensland Health said how he contracted the virus remains a mystery.

The case prompted Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk to close aged care facilities, hospitals and prisons to visitors in the Brisbane City and Moreton Bay council areas from 12pm on Friday. ”

If experts are stunned then they are not really experts, are they?

Anyhoo, could well mean QLD is closed to the rest of AU for Easter.

Middle-aged women ‘worst affected by long Covid’, studies find

Middle-aged women experience the most severe, long-lasting symptoms after being treated in hospital for Covid-19, two UK studies suggest.
Five months on, 70% of patients studied were still affected by everything from anxiety to breathlessness, fatigue, muscle pain and “brain fog”.
But the researchers say there is no obvious link with how ill people originally became.
How women’s bodies fight off illness could explain their poorer recovery.

In our Wi-Fi world, the internet still depends on undersea cables
      November 3, 2015 10.07pm AEDT Updated January 26, 2019

The reality is that the cloud is actually under the ocean. Even though they might seem behind the times, fiber optic cables are actually state-of-the-art global communications technologies. Since they use light to encode information and remain unfettered by weather, cables carry data faster and cheaper than satellites.

10 trillion dollars in transactions per day are transferred through these cables.

      • Back in 31 October 1999 saying prayers was not that well known.

Al-Batouti was the co-pilot who deliberately crashed Flight 990 into the ocean, an assertion denied by Egyptian authorities.
Even though evidence recovered from the aircraft wreckage supports the theory that Al-Batouti had purposely crashed the airliner whilst repeating Islamic prayers.
Furthermore, according to the flight recorders recovered after the crash, Al-Batouti deliberately asked to relieve the takeoff co-pilot far ahead of the normal shift, then turned off the autopilot after the captain left the cockpit.
Al-Batouti then led the plane into a dive, during which he continually repeated, “Tawkalt ala Allah” (Arabic: توكلت على الله‎), which can be translated as “I rely on God”, 11 times.
This phrase can also mean “I entrust myself unto God,”

Perhaps the 2 “pilots” on the “Ever Given” were on their prayer mats when the sand storm gusts hit?
