    • What really pisses me off (among many aspects of this stupid knee jerk law change) is this from the Herald article:
“Clement said this was a “once-in-a-generation opportunity” to round up these dangerous firearms”
There is absolutely no evidence that these now prohibited firearms are dangerous. The fact that many thousands of law abiding licenced shooters have owned and used these now banned guns for more than 40 years in this country without incident indicates the guns themselves are not a problem. The problem arose because the police failed to do their job properly and issued a firearms licence to a foreign terrorist it had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with lawful sporting shooters in this country and we do not take kindly to being scapegoated in this way.
It is worth having a look at the ACT Party’s draft firearms policy just published today but somewhat lost in all the other BS from the Government. I can see a large number of gun owners, myself included, giving their party vote to ACT come the next election.

  1. I’ll probably repost this tomorrow, but it’s been too good to wait.

According to propaganda, it’s been the warmest decade in NZ ever. Well, apparently this year is a “mega mast” which has caused an explosion in the rat population.

    To whit:

Blame the “mega mast” – that’s when weather conditions cause trees to produce tonnes of extra fruit. This mast is the worst in 45 years.

So what has this got to do with the global warming hysteria? Listen to the interview at https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2019/06/rat-infestation-not-confined-to-titirangi-as-populations-double-across-new-zealand.html

In short: the mega mast happened due to a very hot summer this year. According to the propaganda, we’ve had hot summers for x years in a row but somehow we’ve also not had a mega mast happening. They actually discuss that this is going to be a continual problem due to man-made global warming. Strange then that this hasn’t been a problem for the last two decades…something does not compute.

  2. Already heard from acquaintances about calls from entrepreneurial gang members offering double the ‘95% of base value’ offer from the CoL for firearms with a “no questions asked” policy…

This buy back fuck up is going to be a hell of a mess….

  3. The first gun collection event is to be held in Christchurch next month. I am already hearing suggestions of a boycott of the event to send a message to the government and police. Sounds like a plan and since the amnesty now runs until December 20th not illegal. Don’t rush to hand in your guns.

  4. If firearm owners sell to the gangs there could be a cost saying. Nearly all gang members shot each other and not members of the public. How much would each dead gang member save the country?

  6. I believe that when you rock up to hand in your gun they dismantle it and chuck it in the bin, before you get it apprasied and get told how much. No turning back and leaving with it. No doubt they will ask for ID first so they can visit later!

  7. National are talking negative on kiwibuild. This crowd would’ve told Micky Savage that he couldn’t do it ..well he did and so will we #nzqt
    — Megan Woods (@Megan_Woods) November 27, 2012

Except that its historically incorrect (which you would expect from labour.
Housing was not Savages idea nor did he drive it. Housing was driven by the John A Lee. Labour have white washed this to make it look like the pacifist Aussie queer did it. He didn’t.
