  2. Cindy’s gun buy back. Now the gangs are running amok in polite society. Another FAIL by the clown car.

The police have introduced a specialist Firearms Investigation Team as gang tensions escalate across the country.
    https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/specialist-police-team-formed-violence-escalates-among-gangs

Gang violence has been on the rise in recent years, and firearms have been at the heart of more violent clashes between rival factions.

“The team’s key focus is investigating and prosecuting people engaged in the diversion, conversions, theft and manufacture of firearms for financial gain,” Williams said.

“The team will be linking in with the work already being done across all police districts on supply of firearms to gangs and organised

        Definition: noun
        1.

  4. In a search for truth from this Government is hard to get from any Ministry let alone those that hold the Cabinet folders on them.
This Government has hidden facts on the Aluminium Smelter, the Amazon Film Deal , Covid- 19 the Testing and safty of border workers, State Housing , Housing Crisis in General , Electricity and fuel which we could go on and on with no help from a QIA system that is broken and outdated with no chance of getting
the truth in the time needed.
We need answers not lies to hold our Governments to account and the media in this country are a bloody disgrace unless there is something in it for them.

Tens of thousands of coastal Kiwi homes could be deemed uninsurable over the next few decades thanks to a rapid increase in erosion fuelled by sea level rises, and a ‘managed retreat’ has been posited as a way to fix this very expensive looming crisis.

  6. A lawyer died & arrived at the Pearly Gates. To his dismay there were thousands of people ahead of him in line to see St. Peter. Then to his surprise St. Peter left his desk at the gate, came down the long line to where the lawyer was & greeted him warmly. Then St. Peter & one of his assistants took the lawyer by the hands, guided him up to the front of the line & into a comfortable chair by his desk.

The lawyer said, “I don’t mind all this attention but what makes me so special?”

St. Peter replied, “Well, I’ve added up all the hours for which you billed your clients & by my calculations you must be about 193 years old!”

    • Thanks wg
Steve Turley brings up good issue of the contrast of Russia, and its national populism, verses the liberal overall globalism.

The point of the Crimea Peninsula, is that Russia sees it as a part of its defence system, naval access, so will not give it up.
So why was the Russian bear poked by Ukrainian President, about removing Russia from Crimea?

Bumbling Biden, and more dangerous foolish administrators would seem to giving support to the Ukrainian President to dish out declarations; as posted yesterday.
      https://ysb.co.nz/have-your-say-731/#comment-138056

The players, USA, NATO, EU are strutting the stage & stirring for their own political advantage, to push globalism, and can see war machinations as a “unifying globalism” in that it can create “fears”.
Then gaining access to money flows, and more power & control in the name of “security”.

  7. She was clearly confused.

A US police officer who arrested a 73-year-old woman with dementia, pushing her to the ground and handcuffing her, after she walked away from a store without paying for about US$14 (NZ$19.50) worth of items last year was placed on administrative leave today pending the outcome of a police investigation into the arrest.
    https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/world/officer-in-us-put-leave-over-traumatic-arrest-woman-72-dementia?auto=6249116363001

The lawsuit claims the arrest violated her constitutional protections against excessive force and to have due process and also violated the Americans with Disabilities Act.

According to the lawsuit, forgetting to pay for items in stores is common among those with dementia. It also said Garner suffers from sensory aphasia, which impairs her ability to communicate and understand what other people are saying.

In addition to her physical injuries, the lawsuit claims Garner now experiences fear, trauma and anxiety whenever she leaves her home.

“What little freedom and happiness Ms Garner enjoyed in her life as an elderly adult with declining mental health was, on June 26, 2020, recklessly and deliberately obliterated by the Loveland Police Department,” it said.

  8. Every day I hear / read about something dodgy that the Govt has had their grubby hands on.

As a result there is an outcry with threats to hold the Govt responsible.

Sadly in spite of some terrible blunders nothing has changed and we still have our PM who is lashing out calling various people liars.

Whilst the Govt has a majority I believe it is impossible to reinvent the wheel and we should take the advice from Queen Victoria to a bride on her wedding night – “just lie back and think of mother England, pretending you enjoy it.”

One day the good citizens will wake up and the French Revolution will look like a garden party.

    • The Commissioners should not have made such a decision in my opinion.

The difference between a general ward and a ward for a specific group is clear to me even if it is not clear to Minister Mahuta. Generally the general ward is determined by a geographic area. The ward for a specific group, in this case Maori, is a racial and thus unacceptable basis to determine a ward for election purposes.

Just because the Minister trampled on democracy and rammed a bill through to make law does not make it right. The Commissioners have erred in that their decision has warped the democratic process.

Maori have already demonstrated the ability to stand, get elected and function in local and central government without the nonsense advocated by Minister Mahuta.

    • This “He Puapua” report seems to be in parts, fully supported by Ardern’s government.

some parts of He Puapua are already being implemented by the Government –
for example, exempting some Māori land from rates,
      establishing Māori wards,
giving Māori greater rights under the RMA, and a
new history curriculum were all proposed by the report.

      https://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/PA2104/S00093/govt-must-reject-he-puapua.htm

The full He puapua report here.
      https://www.nzcpr.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/He-Puapua.pdf

It would seem that Ardern’s government is remaining quiet, as the report sets out step by step, year by year how the implementation of that report will proceed.
If it remains quiet, then it will all be done, as Ardern and Mahuta, will not stop, unless challenged, then political expediency like winning an election may slow it down.

As they say implement, and then plead error, fudge and so deserve a great “kindness” of forgiveness. 🙂
It has worked so far. 🙁

If I had to boil down the political wisdom I’ve learned over four decades of observing, studying, writing, and debating, it would be this…
Life in Rural America (which is where Republican Trump voters live and govern), is clean, safe and racially tolerant. Most places in America where life is dirty, polluted, dangerous, violent, and plagued with racial hate and race riots, are cities that are almost exclusively populated by and governed by Democrats.

He was a top propagandist for the “post-industrial society. ”

“In 1968, Brzezinski published The Technetronic Age, an almost unreadable work which, in its more lucid passages, argues that the new “technetronic age” will lay the basis for a benevolent dictatorship by a world elite.
Society, he states, will be characterized by an “information revolution,” “cybernetics,” and the replacement of “achievement orientation” by an “amusement focus,” based on “spectator spectacles (mass sports and TV) providing an opiate for increasingly purposeless masses . . .
New forms of social control may be needed to limit the indiscriminate exercise by the individual of their new powers.

  16. Slowly some of the truth of how the supposed “rescue ships” screw others for money.

The rescue ship Mare Jonio allegedly demanded €10,000 from the Danish ship for each passenger taken from onboard their vessel.
The Maersk tanker had earlier picked up 27 illegal migrants floating in a boat, and the Maersk tanker’s owners would have been charged a total of €270,000 if they had agreed to these terms.
Eventually, the sum of €125,000 was transferred by Maersk onto the NGO’s bank account.

    https://rmx.news/article/article/ngo-rescue-ship-caught-demanding-10-000-per-migrant

The have the nerve to call themselves charitable organization, but are nothing more than scamming blackmailers.

Where are tax authorities that allow them to be free of tax?
Where are the money laundering bank systems supposedly to stop financing terrorism, or drugs or in this case, that allows such money for people trafficking?

Here in New Zealand we now under the money laundering laws, and I think there have been little updated tweaks to it, as have to put up with a lot of multi-documentation to be presented.
Like for a real estate transaction, to buy a car, even to be just represented by a lawyer, and now this seems to have to be updated and reconfirmed, probably with amendments passed in the rush late at night.
Seems like banks have been given more reason to raise queries why you want your own money, or to deposit your money with them.

    • Basically that “hate speech law is not fit for any purpose, except for removal of liberty, and the subjugation of many people iunder police & stasi control.

It is a very sad case as the police are the prosecutors, judge, jury and filed away executioners on your life.

Only people like Harry Miller had the resources to take it to court,
I followed how the case was set out, and I thought he had won.
Many people were exuberant that commonsense had prevailed:-
      https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-lincolnshire-51501202

      BUT
Just now, to my chagrin I found that it was dismissed at a higher court.

So now another court case this year 2021 March seems to be under way.

      https://news.sky.com/story/second-legal-challenge-over-police-hate-incidents-starts-as-court-hears-freedom-of-expression-at-risk-12241063

The sad part is that this is what government wants, costly courts making precedents, that are distant, so it appears to be arms-length from the instigating political party.

Need to make sure this is known more widely.,,

    • A bit disappointed about a 2nd trial, I have since found an article written by Harry Miller this month, 8 April 2021, as he waits for the report back from the Judges.
      Well worth a read.

…. under the current hate crime guidance she would be better off accused of a crime than a non-crime hate incident (NCHI).
Accused of a crime, she noted, she could at least rely on the presumption of innocence.
By contrast, accused of an NCHI, not only are the police relieved of the tiresome burden of proof, they are not even required to provide evidence.
All that is necessary for an accusation to stick is the pointing finger of an accuser. …..

      My NCHI reads as follows:-
“Police Crime Report. Suspect: Harry Miller. Offence: Transphobic Hate. Category: Crime non crime.”

The record will remain on a police database, unmovable, for at least 6 years.
If this isn’t intrusion enough, consider this: the NCHI is disclosable via a criminal records check should I find myself applying for a position which requires one.
My days as a lecturer, it seems, are over as no-one wants to employ a Hater. ….

      https://christianconcern.com/comment/the-wrong-man-to-accuse-of-a-hate-incident/

This article and the history of this case needs to be studied more for its legal points, and to show to ACT politicians.

    https://www.bassettbrashandhide.com/

“The absurdity of the current situation is well illustrated by the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council, which is currently contemplating the creation of one or more Maori wards. The Council already employs one hapu advisory officer, three Maori partnership group members, 10 iwi representatives who control the Regional Planning Committee, and 12 Maori social services nominees on the Maori Committee – and two of the nine councillors (or 22% of the total) are already Maori! Why on Earth would the Council feel that Maori voices are not being heard and that Maori wards are necessary?”

  19. In the UK., so much contrary advice.
Vaccines work, but lock downs are better.
Asymptomatic can transmit the disease, so does that mean a vaccinated person is more likely to spread the disease?

…. “chance” new variants will be “less well neutralised” by vaccines, adding that it is “restrictions” that have helped contain outbreaks. …..

….. government advisors …. …. advocated so called ‘surge testing’, … …… the vast majority of positive results from rapid testing are likely false: …..

….. It appears to be becoming clearer that this nightmare is never going to end.
    https://summit.news/2021/04/16/uk-government-advisors-call-for-more-lockdowns/

Becoming more of a tangled mess, as in a way, they are admitting the vaccines are not ideal.
Becoming control freaks, creating fear, as they become fearful of loss of control, which they think is so necessary.

    • O-sen we haven’t been around the world accumulating C-19 variants yet.
You’ll be lucky if you can travel to your garage soon.
This is the new normal. The great reset in full flight.

New global coronavirus cases nearly double in two months

“This is approaching the highest rate of infection that we have seen so far during the pandemic,” he said. “Some countries that had previously avoided widespread COVID-19 transmission are now seeing steep increases in infections.”
Case numbers have spiked in nearly all regions, with larger outbreaks gripping Brazil, India, Poland, Turkey and some other countries. In the seven days ending April 11, global cases rose by 11 per cent compared to the previous week, according to the WHO.

Some of those infections were due to the spread of new variants, while other surges came as pandemic fatigue set in and authorities moved to relax restrictions.
Scientists are also worried about the arrival of the new variant from India, which has a double mutation in the spike protein that may make it more able to evade the body’s immune responses. It currently has the label of “variant under investigation” but could be designated a “variant of concern” if it found to be more infectious or resistant to vaccines.

The media deserve to be sued by many that are looted, burnt, injured, in so many ways, for the damage they do, like creating fiery civil unrest.

Warning. The vimeo video does become very gory graphic after the shots are fired, when the police man immediately goes to give “first aid”
The vimeo video is 9 mins 20 secs.
All from the one policeman’s body cam.
The vimeo video after driving, sprints into action from 1 min : 40 secs.

A stupid tradgedy, as the gun could have been dropped so much more earlier, and the article calls it well.
