  1. Morning all. The Conservative Party in the UK are fast on the way to getting kicked out and facing electoral oblivion. I hope our PM is taking note that not being a Conservative government in a Conservative Party will see you getting kicked for touch….

Also I hope the Reform Party get more than 7 seats. After the nasty smear job by the channel 4 News, they deserve to have success rubbed in their faces. To quote Carl Benjamin, “Dirty dirty smear merchants”.

    • My family in England voted for Reform I was told this morning I didn’t ask as I thought they should vote reform but thought I don’t really know how things are over there so will keep my mouth shut. I hope they take a lot of seats they deserve it especially after the Chanel 4 crap they have received.

      • Liz, I think interesting figure will be not how many seats the Reform Party gets but how many votes in total they get —how many pissed off former Conservative voters.
“Splitting” the vote might be quite big but I doubt it would have effected the end result. Sunack had the Conservatives committing suicide.

        • Conservatives are being punished for not doing Brexit and mass immigration. Sunak was never the peoples choice. He was selected by committee meeting of bureaucratic oligarchic idiots, and now the entire thing is detonating.

I wouldnt be surprised if Reform could approach Brexit level support. But the english voting machine has the system rigged for the incumbents. They might get 20% of the vote, but only 1% representation. Briton for the Britons

  2. A shade nippy up this way, in fact one could go as far as describe it as brass monkey weather. The good news is a decent frost should wipe out a heap of insects that have been terrorising the gardens. Been a couple of years since our last real one.

Time to arise. Nice morning so far but someone will stuff that up for certain.

Not so cold this morning. cloudless sky, no rain to be seen for the next week.

What it means for the increased speed of data transmission.

Like fire, a good servant, but a bad master.

The jet engine, rockets developed for purposes of war, yet many of us have taken wonderful advantage of the “jet”.

I see that is the human that drives the “Enshittification” for their advantage in power, control, [enslave] to gain profits to pocket the $money.
It is the human that seeks in different ideologies, beliefs, to control.

Military, from humans will always take advantage of technology.
Now for what purposes? is derived from human motives, to respect “individualism” or bring about “collectism”.

5G’s for countries who wish to develop widely distributed high tech systems, such as robotics, or self-driving vehicles.
It seems to be more for AI to communicate with AI.

Can I trust any human in setting up further technology.
Nor do I trust China, Russia, & certainly not the UK, USA, NATO or even Brazil, Japan, & many others.
Would you even trust your brother? here in New Zealand & our government authorities?
Still life goes on, and particularly in New Zealand, can make the most of things.
Yet we must value liberty in our lives.

  5. Good news for Darwin – still in action.
“A man in Rhode Island died earlier this year after reportedly setting a firework off on his head, which police are now investigating.
The death of David Ziegenfuss, 39, occurred on May 12 this year and police later determined the cause to be a “blast injury” to his head, according to Chief Gingerella. Per WFLA:
Gingerella said it appeared that Ziegenfuss and others were messing around with fireworks at a home on Pound Road when a mortar-style firework was put on his head and set off.”

    • That is good they know.

In ao tear zooland it would take the coroners office six years to report that !!

From casual observation (not sleuthing work) it seems there are coroners reports coming out in the last 6 months from deaths in 2017 to 2020.
      This is limited value.

I guess the slowness fits in with all else in low to zero productivity.

Civil service mandarins (statists) Iona Holsted, Caralee McLiesh and Lil Anderson aren’t expected to have their contracts renewed, sources say. In an accelerating clear-out of public sector leadership, the heads of Māori-Crown Relations, Education and the Treasury are expected to step down

    X Re-Joins Pro-Censorship Advertisers’ Alliance?

GARM is one of those outfits whose roots are very entangled (comes in handy when somebody tries to probe your activities, though) – and the chronology is not insignificant either: formed in 2019 as a World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) initiative, partnered with the Association of National Advertisers (ANA).

Then came another “partnership” – that with WEF (World Economic Forum), specifically, its Shaping the Future of Media, Entertainment, and Sport project – a “flagship” one. (these “partnerships” are all the rage?)

  8. Brit exit poll just taken minutes agpo

Labour is on course for a landslide, according to the exit poll projection, with 410 seats.

Let’s take a look at the early projection in numbers

    Labour – 410 seats
    Conservatives – 131
    Liberal Democrats – 61
    Reform UK – 13
    Green Party – 2
    SNP – 10
    Plaid Cymru – 4

    A whitewash
Man, that is bad. Well over 50% of the 650 seats
They got jakinda-nomics about to hit them like a diesel train

    Sidebar
    —————————-
Reform UK member Anne Widdicombe agreed she is ‘jumping for joy’ over the party’s projected seat total.
She said she hopes the ‘Conservatives might see sense’ and ‘come and join us’ after the exit poll showed her new party will win 13 seats.
The former Tory MP – who was plagued by a cough during her answers – joined Reform, now led by Nigel Farage, after Brexit.
    ————————-
That is pathetic. 13 seats. FPP is a dead loss and England cant say they gave the world democracy with this unrepresentative shite. They will have no word, no say .
that is 2% of parliament. Less than Tea Party Maori
This is no surprise. The English hate change, they cant cope with change so Reform was never going to work well.

      • The real decline began under Harold Wilson IMHO
He set in motion some bad juju.

Thatcher tried to turn it around but I now suspect she was not in tune with the indolence of the English people.
The English and their nearby conquered colonies were so put upon by the upper crust for hundreds of years that they gave up.
Give them football and beer with a few wars to break the monotony and they will be content.

I lived there in the Thatcher era.
It is the way they are.
Discontent on the rise, Hey, lets have a war with, I know, Argentina.

    • The only good thing for the UK in those figures is the Lib Dems are well below the Conservatives. If they had been above and therefore the main opposition party the UK would have definitely had a uniparty Parliament. I would hope the Conservatives after this thrashing will be a reasonable Opposition —wishful thinking I know.

  9. The Indian grifter has fucked the country(s)
    Now he will bugger off.

    Rishi Sunak called this.
The unelected foreign passport holder dropped a bunker buster bomb on the UK
This looks like WEF sabotage to me.
No time for Reform to create a realistic alternative. (They should have prepared, to be fair)
a wiping of the hapless conservatives to replace with the even more hapless, racist, misandrist liebour party in control.
The so-so Lib-Dems are projected at 5 times the seats of the Reform with 61 seats.
    ———————

In so doing Sunak dropped this shite and rewarded cronies literally at the eleventh hour
    breaking….

-Rishi Sunak has rewarded his right-hand man Liam Booth-Smith with a peerage,
    >> announced less than an hour before polls closed in the General Election.
Lord Booth-Smith, who had been Mr Sunak’s chief of staff in Downing Street, was included in the Prime Minister’s dissolution honours list.

    -Former prime minister Theresa May,
    ex-Cabinet minister Chris Grayling and
former chairman of the 1922 Committee Sir Graham Brady
will also take seats in the House of Lords.

Former deputy speaker Dame Eleanor Laing and ex-MP Craig Mackinlay, who has battled sepsis which cost him his hands and feet, have also been given peerages.

Former Cop26 president and Cabinet minister Sir Alok Sharma has also been made a peer.

  10. Part of an email sent to me by Geert vanden Bossche

“We are undoubtedly on the verge of a tsunami, where the steadily rising wave of vaccine-associated excess deaths will suddenly transition into a dramatic surge of severe disease enhancement in highly vaccinated populations. For those who don’t understand the immunological mechanisms behind these predictions, it suffices to say that Nature is unlikely to proceed with populations consisting of large cohorts of vaccine-debilitated individuals left unprotected by their immune system and lacking affordable access to safe and effective antivirals. Those who are healthy and unvaccinated will indeed not be affected.”

Popcorn – gallows – knitting. Can’t wait for when the idiots in charge have to face up to this.

    10

    0

    • They will never face up to it.
This has been well planned for many decades.

The real year zero was 2015
      Everything was stacked.
Kids in skewl were being indoctrinated
The Tranny stuff and pushing the homo stuff was well underway
Globalist Johnny keys brought in homosexual marriage (sic) in 2013; after he voted against Civil union less than 10 years before. The opposite of what I would vote for.
He was doing his globalist job.
Hollyweird started its 100% woke campaign at that time
The puppets were being put in place or were in place
      Key> Adrain > luxon
Macron; turdeau; Treason May; Ursula von; Merkel

Then Trump got elected in 2016. They were asleep over that one.
They just expected the mass murderer, Hildog, to get in
Americans are conditioned for killing via the idiot box and hollyweird. Since WW2 and the rise of the CIA operation the US people have been subjected to Westerns then cop shows and Rambo stuff to accept killing/murder/mass murder as normal.
      A big psyop.
Hence the absolute campaign to discredit Trump ever since; via CIA, Media filth, FBI, lawfare and so on.

Instead of punishment, Adrain has just been paid out USD 20 million from the Gates of Hell
      There is reward.
      Sunak will have his reward.
      Macron, and so on.
Key got his rewards, + Adrain but Blinglish was not in the club so he got none. He was also very short lived.

Those who don’t know the intended goal is population reduction with all the resources available to tell them, just don’t want to know.
      People are inherently lazy.
Yay for ‘reality’ teevee. It corrals the weak minded.
It is not like there is a lot they can do about it .

    • It is humans of “collectivism” that have come up with that, then push the 5G network, to gain a function of further control, by creating figures out of their shittical arses.

5G will be good for military tanks, like how they intend to make tanks Net Zero Carbon. 🙂
5G tanks will also have the ultimate speed limiters.
The lucky part, they will not need tanker crewmen. 🙂

      0

    • Well at least in England you can go 70 mph
When I lived there they generally did not touch you unless over 90 mph.
      or were erratic.

The cop cars sat on a a raised platform from which they could roll down and start the chase.
Good vision of the road from the platform. It was about road safety.
Back in the 80s before all the control freak stuff we have now.
Back when cars did not even have ABS, air bags, adaptive cruise control etc.
We could drive without seat belts in a modern car with all the safety elements.
Esp around town at less than 50 km/hr
It is just mindless control freak shit that it is pushed.

My GF in England had this 1300 CC Ford that she would crank to 80 mph before the engine was warm (cold mornings and all)
Telling her to cool it until the car had warmed up was not a vote winner.

      PS
I see Auckland Council want to rebel and not comply with returning speeds to pre 2020 levels.

  11. For those interested in how vaccines are determined to be effective

    https://www.trialsitenews.com/a/its-time-to-tell-the-scientific-truth-about-the-covid-19-vaccines-7c2e9515

“Now, if we look at some recent data, or for that matter dozens of real-world studies reviewed at TrialSite over the past couple years, that 95% effectiveness rate has gone way, way down. In fact, so far down after a few months its performance starts to look like that initial ARR.

One recent The Lancet Regional Health paper states: ‘Compared to a waned third dose, fourth dose vaccine effectiveness was 24.0% in the first two months post-vaccination, reducing to 10.3% and 1.7% at two to four and four to six months, respectively’.”

    7

    0

    • rol, even the way of how they calculate the supposed % of effectiveness, & which they publish has been another form of “Enshittification” from the arse. As they pick which figure to go with.

I have mentioned in the past doubts about the pertussis “whooping cough” vaccine, and just found a New Zealand link to it.

Waning protection of the whooping cough (pertussis) vaccine

The immune response to pertussis vaccines is known to decrease over time and in New Zealand, most people aged 16 or over have not been vaccinated against whooping cough in the last 5 years.
The same is true if you catch whooping cough – you do not become immune for life.
Therefore, you can catch pertussis even if you have had it before, or if you have been vaccinated.

In immunised children who develop symptomatic infection, the disease course will tend to be less severe than in those who have not been vaccinated. ….
      https://www.tewhatuora.govt.nz/health-services-and-programmes/vaccine-information/about-immunisation-in-new-zealand/why-immunise/

So have they properly tested, monitored, researched it, & then put it in laymen’s terms.
It seem the vaxxed do still catch whooping cough. So then pass it on, and what if that pass on has mutated?
Maybe milder or may be more infectious & creating more problems.
So it does not stop transmission? No Doctor in NZ wants to admit that !
Is this a leaky vaccine? covered up by dubious “Enshittification” figures pulled out of their arses.

So the agenda became, to mix the whooping cough vaccine with tetanus shots, to gain the elderly being covered,
Plus they put in diphtheria so it is now a 3 in 1 multi vaxx, and no way can one in New Zealand get a good plain tetanus shot.
Then call it to protect your grand children under the auspices of “No one is Safe, until All are Vaccinated” …. yeah right …

The Government is prioritising 17 Roads of National Significance which were recently highlighted in the Government Policy Statement on Land Transport (GPS).

Projects include Belfast to Pegasus – including the Woodend Bypass – a stretch of road in Canterbury that has seen a large number of accidents.

It also includes the Hawke’s Bay Expressway, SH1 Cambridge to Piarere, State Highway 29 Tauriko, Takitimu North Link Stage 2, Mill Road, and Warkworth to Wellsford.

Takitimu North Link Stage 1 is already underway, with Ōtaki to North of Levin to begin construction next year.

“NZTA has now appointed project teams to accelerate consenting, property acquisition, and design. They are engaging construction partners to progress the first phase of seven Roads of National Significance projects, with an aim to begin procurement, enabling works and construction in the next three years.

  13. In breaking news, Shortland Street will only be screening 3 times a week from next year. Oh my god! How am I ever going to survive having my weekly allowance of tripe reduced by 40% ? And, just think about all those wonderful actors that are barely surviving despite their fame and modesty. This is too much for me, I’m off to my safe place to have an amazingly empathetic cry. 14. Atop the hills of Makara behind Wellington a hang glider pilot is preparing for take off. Close by is a Maori bloke out for a tramp who decides to watch the takeoff.

The pilot is having trouble adjusting his safety gear & calls out to the spectator asking him to hold the hang glider for a minute while he makes some final adjustments. A sudden gust of wind causes the glider to take off & Wiremu clutching on to the control bar for dear life heads off out & over Cook Strait.

Half an hour later a couple of duckshooters returning along the stopbank of the Wairau River in Marlborough are startled when a shape appears over the willow trees with Wiremu screaming for help under its wings. Instinctively one hunter sights up the glider & fires both barrels.
His mate asks him, “What the hell was that?”

The hunter replies, “Buggered if I know. It flew off but it dropped the Maori.”

His latest move to force councils to open up land for development will attract condemnation from such diverse sectors as social dogooders & slum landlords but basically he’s on the right track. From https://www.1news.co.nz/2024/07/04/zoning-land-use-reforms-will-push-down-property-prices-minister/ :

…..””We can’t let urban planning rules be a barrier to housing affordability. They are at the moment. That’s got to change. Houses need to be more affordable. Rents need to be more affordable,” the minister said.”……

People have criticised the new legislation allowing apartment sizes down to 20sq/m but as the transcript of the Minister’s speech states:

……”People often complain to me about all these ‘shoebox apartments’, and I agree
that they won’t be the right housing solution for everyone. But do you know what is
smaller than a shoebox apartment? A car or an emergency housing motel room.”…….

  21. https://www.1news.co.nz/2024/07/05/truckie-blows-seven-times-the-limit-in-auckland-motorway-rush-hour/
A truck driver who scraped the wall of Auckland’s Waterview Tunnel multiple times while transporting a car during peak hour was allegedly more than seven times the legal alcohol limit, police said.

Senior Sergeant Scott Cunningham said the truck was headed northbound through the Waterview Tunnel while transporting a car.

“Our staff were extremely concerned by his behaviour as, when he was signalled to stop, he brought the truck to a stop in live lanes during peak traffic.”

The driver was taken to Henderson Police Station where a breath alcohol screening returned a result of 1872mcg. The legal limit is 250mcg.

He was expected to appear in Waitākere District Court on July 31.

  22. A really interesting point made in a comment on Breitbart by someone from the US, I think.

“I remember British news complaining in 2016 about how ‘unfair’ and ‘undemocratic’ the U.S. Electoral System was because Trump lost the popular vote but won the Presidency.

As of now the British Labor Party has received about 9,549,000 votes and have been awarded 408 seats in Parliament. That’s one seat for every 23,400 votes.

Reform has received 4,003,000 votes and won 4 seats in Parliament. That’s over 1,000,000 votes for each seat.

The Lib/Dems have received over half a million FEWER votes than Reform and been awarded 69 seats.

Keep this in mind the next time you hear some leftist British airhead complain about the U.S. Electoral College.”

      • You think that the British result was better than ours under mmp? I don’t like mmp but a single party majority government with 35% of the vote representing being voted in by just 20% of the citizens is worse than any result here under mmp.
I am not sure what the answer is but stv would seem to be the most democratic.

  23. As Newshub disappears, along comes the excuse for it’s rejects.

Half of New Zealand workers say they experience imposter syndrome at work, according to research from employment marketplace SEEK.
Imposter syndrome is a phenomenon where you doubt your own skills and successes, feel you’re less worthy than other people think, and are scared people will eventually realise that.
SEEK’s data shows the biggest trigger for imposter syndrome is feeling like you’re not as experienced as you think you should be. The second biggest trigger is thinking you’re not intelligent enough.

  24. Lousy for Bridgen.

Andrew Bridgen, the former Conservative MP for North West Leicestershire, lost his seat in the 2024 United Kingdom general election. He finished second to last in the vote, taking in just 1,568 votes.

    Key Points:

Andrew Bridgen did not attend the read-through of the results.
The win brings to an end 14 years of Andrew Bridgen’s time as MP for the constituency.
Noel Matthews of Reform UK came in third place with 9,678 votes.
The night was one to forget for Andrew Bridgen, who was expelled by the Conservative Party for comparing the side effects of Covid vaccines to the Holocaust.
