  2. Cyber-Attack Shuts Down Biggest Gasoline Pipeline in US–Colonial Pipeline

Top U.S. fuel pipeline operator Colonial Pipeline has shut its entire network, the source of nearly half of the U.S. East Coast’s fuel supply, after a cyber attack that the company said was caused by ransomware.

The shutdown has raised fears of a price spike at the gas pumps ahead of peak demand summer driving season if it persists, and has drawn attention to how critical U.S. energy infrastructure is vulnerable to hackers.

  3. Collins has specifically questioned one of the draft recommendations: “[To] provide for the delegation, transfer and devolution of functions and powers within the conservation system to tangata whenua”.

She said this would represent a significant shake-up of the entire DoC estate in New Zealand – “That is 85 per cent of the West Coast, for example.”

She said she got the document from someone who was at a recent hui where the DoC discussed how to better reflect the Treaty of Waitangi’s principles in its policies.

The document appears to be part of a draft report and the Acting Minister of Conservation, Ayesha Verrall, has been approached for comment.

  4. Government commits $53 Million for Cervical Cancer.
Government makes pre – budget annoucement on womans health, but really who.could believe this Labour Government on promises they make.
Didn’t they also promise to build 100,000 houses under Kiwibuild in ten years while only achieving around 550 in nearly four years.
Didn’t they also promise to have light rail in Auckland up and running in their first term of Government which even now is still not even past the bookwork let alone being ready run.
Then there is the promise to be the most honest and transparent Government in our history which would be the joke of the century in most people’s eyes.
While I know Cervical Cancer has to be a priority how can Labour even play with peoples lives when they already know this won’t be available until 2023.
Will this be another of Labours all talk with no substance as it has become a trait of many Government Ministers.

  5. As the airliner pushed back from the gate, the flight
attendant gave the passengers the usual drivel regarding
seat belts etc. Finally, she said, “Now sit back and enjoy
your trip while your captain, Judith Campbell and crew
take you safely to your destination.”

Joe sitting in the 8th row thought to himself,
“Did hear her right – is the captain a woman?
I think I better have scotch and soda.”

When the attendants came by with drink cart, he said,
“Did I understand you right? Is the captain a woman?”

“Yes,” said the attendant, “In fact, this entire crew is female.”

“My God,” said Joe, “I’d better have two scotch and sodas.
I don’t know what to think of all those women up there in
    the cockpit.”

“That’s another thing,” said the attendant, “We no longer
call it the cockpit.  It’s called ‘Box Office’ now.”

    • waikatogirl @0848

      How many more?

Whatever it takes to convince the greater population that ‘guns’ (irrespective of size / calibre) are inherently ‘evil’ and that ONLY ‘The Government’ should have access to them.

The children are merely collateral damage to achieve and end and as such can be easily dismissed as being of no consequence. //

      • The cop was demanding the law do it’s job convicting criminals instead of releasing them back onto the street to commit other violent crimes. The democrat district attorneys are releasing criminals instead of sending them to prison.

  6. This demonstrates the calibre of our Finance Minister:

“He also tried to reframe the Government’s unpopular decision to effectively freeze the pay of public servants earning over $60,000.

While earlier, the Government had discussed this as a move intended to save money, on Monday, Robertson said it was actually about ensuring that the income gap closed between people earning top incomes and people on lower incomes.”

WTF? So Robertson’s idea of closing the income gap, is to reduce the income of those with more? Is he fucking nuts?

    • A little more information, as it seems that “chinese whispers” over reaches and builds a ‘straw-man’ so as to seem to totally beat down the issue.
So that way those ideas and the people saying them are smeared & discredited

While “The Rockefeller Playbook” does not exist, the planning report released by the Rockefeller Foundation in 2010, “Scenarios for the Future of Technology and International Development,” includes a section called “Lock Step.”

However the latter half shows the thinking, the prophecy, or is it their ideal wishes of such institutes are still there in their anticipation, and maybe push also, to globalization.

        • Appreciate the source of the Scenarios, Alice.

I often see things as plans of mice & men, that though they may seem to follow a track, does not mean it is all influenced that way.

It is a bit like the industrialists, that thought they could work with an “influencer” in the 1930’s, that then took a life and direction, as he always pointed to, but on his own power & support once he had “lift off” and then go in his direction, that went way beyond what they first thought they would control.
An incidentally the industralist also took any profit what ever the occasion, and as you watched the “The News Benders” then became controlled themselves.

A lot of things happen naturally, if one takes time to take stock, think a bit. Then the input of certain technologies, science, and not to forget, the wiles of the people.
I have done that, with some other people, making predictions, and then planning to be opportunistically nearby.
Plans of mice and men do not always work in as you first think, but other times, it is preparation meets opportunity, but not as you first thought.

It does seem like scenarios that any senior class at high-school, with some time, research, could come up with.
Occasionally even to give direction and power.

Will it be Plato’s philosophies or Aristotle’s philosophies, that will make sense to a generation, and so hold sway.
Not that I am into sociology, but education systems, taking away reasoning, and relying on blank knowledge, certainly has added a twist or 2, but as talked about in other parts, kick back, tipping points, feed back loops, but none of us know when or how far some things can go and at what price.

I just try to consider, if one can find, is the truth, and nor have it twisted and abused.
It has to be bought forth.
However we all have our own understanding of what may be the truth.
So that is not so easy.

  7. I sort of like how James O’Keefe hold the feet of the media and politicians to the fire of consequences.

RETRACTION #340: Politico’s ‘Breaking News’ INTERN Benjamin Din Inducted to Veritas’ Wall of Shame
    9 mins 42 secs. : • May 9, 2021

A good little backgrounder of the revelations that helped make his case.
But the lie that is retracted, continues being repeated by other repeaters, as in a “virtous circle” of proof.
This is what New Zealand repeater news seems to be based on.

  8. Latest from Don Brash/Hobsons Pledge.

Brash: Flawed judgment will lead to coastal give-away

“Using flawed reasoning to give 44km of the Bay of Plenty coastal and marine area to a few private individuals and groups is not what is expected of the High Court of New Zealand, Hobson’s Pledge spokesman Don Brash said today.

In a judgement released at the weekend, the High Court granted several groups of the Whakatohea tribe a new form of property right, known as customary marine title, to an area between Whakatane and Opotiki. Bay of Plenty tribe granted customary title

The test, under the Marine and Coastal Area Act 2011, to qualify for ownership is to demonstrate uninterrupted exclusive occupation since 1840.

“Yet these groups had their land confiscated in 1863 for fighting against the Crown, Dr Brash said. “Surely land confiscation would interrupt occupation and end exclusivity?”

The judge used the flimsy argument that confiscation of lands would not have severed connection with the marine area, Dr Brash said.

This decision is the latest in a long line of official blunders that has made the vast marine and coastal area vulnerable to claims for ownership by scattered groups and individuals when it was always understood to be for the benefit of every New Zealander, Dr Brash said.”

    • “The test, under the Marine and Coastal Area Act 2011, to qualify for ownership is to demonstrate uninterrupted exclusive occupation since 1840.”

Even if the Crown had taken title of the land in 1863, the tribes would have continued to occupy the land, so they would still qualify for “ownership” under the Marine and Coastal Area Act 2011.

Do you really believe that occupation is the same as ownership? In the pre-European system, it was. No-one owned land; they just occupied it. It comes down to how you define “ownership.”

  9. Financial ramifications coming home to roost Robbo.

Finance Minister Grant Robertson dampens expectations ahead of Budget 2021

“What I am pointing out is that when you’re in a constrained environment fiscally, as we are, having taking on the debt that we did, we have to make some choices and we do have to have areas that we focus on,” Robertson told reporters.

  10. A great example of where media filth and scum lie and misdirect.

Media filth in the 21st century are in fact simply left wing activists that have taken over long established communication channels.

Lying by media is not a new thing .
If you go back more than 100 years the 1918 influenza ended up being called the Spanish Flu because they were the only ones – 103 years ago – that had open media in the affected zones.

The Flu originated in the USA and was rife through USA and Europe.
Spain was not in the Great European Slaughterhouse 1914 to 1918 so it reported the flu.
The Media of England, USA, France Germany et al did not.
Not much different in 2021 or 2020 or 2019 …….

This same media is just as corrupt and dishonest then as today.
They are are always at war. Therefore lying, to them (warmed over as propaganda), is justified in their pea-brains,
Work out who the enemy is !!

If someone lies to you, it generally means they do not respect you.

The current low IQ activists (they have to be low IQ to believe and pursue their own fake propaganda) that pose as media critters are so left wing and biased they will support the lefty /Labour/Labor mob in Australasia with blind (and ignorant ) loyalty.
They will attack what they perceive to be right wing although it is mainly centre to centre-left; with blind loyalty to their dogma.

The media in Australasia will attack Gladys Berejiklian, the Premier of NSW, simply because she is from the Liberal Party; same with Scott Morrison.
Meanwhile Ardoom in NZ, Commie Dan in VIC and Pasta-Chook in QLD will get 40 ‘Get out of Jail Free’ Cards per week before any real questions are asked.

To offset some of the trash and tripe spewed out by the local scabby, slaves-to-dogma, media filth I refer you (Hunty excepted) to Cactus Kate blog

“Gladys is an understated woman of substance. Jacinda is an overhyped woman of style over substance.”

“Gladys stands almost completely still at her media briefings. She gets to the point without notes. She lets everyone know what’s happening and basically tells them in a polite way to “just behave”.
Jacinda sways back and forward, obfuscates with baby talk….”

“Gladys leads a state of 8 million people. 800,000km square. Jacinda leads a country of 5 million people 270,000km square.”

“Meanwhile Jacinda remains a slave to her polling from her close mates. Instead of actually leading the country and its Covid Karen’s to a more accepting strategy using her skills and popularity, it is Lockdown Lunacy every single time. Stockholm syndrome reigns.”

    Game Set and Match.

The only reservation I have is CK constantly refers to the Ardern thing by its first name. I thought this was reserved for mates.

  11. Further on to my comment yesterday,

Just an opinion piece; or peace in jest.

…. I suggest China make a plan to impose retaliatory punishment against Australia once it militarily interferes in the cross-Straits situation.
The plan should include long-range strikes on the military facilities and relevant key facilities on Australian soil if it really sends its troops to China’s offshore areas ….

I guess the the threat of a falling satellite circling over us, will keep us quiet?

Will New Zealand have the correct bar-code QR on the chin, for ships & planes, so as not to also be included in a blockade?

Can a ‘taniwha’ be an effective defense to a dragon breathing fire, or just roll over & be water boarded in our seas.

  12. Careful what you wish for lefties.

The Biggest Problem Facing the West | Guest: Victor Davis Hanson

Today we have the honor of speaking with Victor Davis Hanson, a military historian and senior fellow at the Hoover Institution. Hanson is an expert on postmodernism, its history, and how this progressive way of thinking is slowly but surely working its way into American society. Today he offers tools to spot and combat the lies this destructive philosophy represents.

  13. Stabbing in Dunedin at Countdown at Cumberland street.
3 customers and 2 workers, so far 5 stabbed.

one person was put into an ambulance with an apparent neck wound.
    apprehended by police about 2.35pm.

3 in critical condition, 2 in moderate condition on the way to hospital now.

    I wonder that too Saggy.
Major daily koranic study with no food during daylight hours are still to be completed.
What else did the witnesses hear, or is that shut down by Ardern”s adhan of the “Christchurch Call”.

  14. BREAKING: Now a *2ND* Forensic Audit is Being Requested, As Fate of Election Lawsuit in Michigan Hangs in Balance

As Arizona’s forensic audit runs into massive resistance in the courts and from the Department of Justice, another forensic audit is being requested as a lawsuit hangs in the balance in the State of Michigan. The fate of the one of the last election lawsuits in the country is set to be decided in court on Monday morning.

The joint motion seeks to have the lawsuit dismissed for lack of standing. The judge has already allowed the complainant, Bailey and his attorney, Matthew DePerno, to have a third party conduct a forensic examination of the county’s Dominion Voting Systems equipment. That audit was conducted earlier by Allied Security Operations Group, a Dallas-based firm that concluded the voting machine equipment was fraught with errors.

  15. The Mazda Bait challenge apparently involves stealing old mazdas, by teenagers.
This would seem to be a massive joke. Who would want to be a mazda baiter? Ryan Bridge seems to be taking this seriously. 🤣🤣🤣

    • So the Mazdas are all the go.

…. A group of 30 teenagers – some as young as 13 – are believed to be responsible for stealing more than 100 cars of this brand since January.

The Mazda theft phenomenon first appeared in Taranaki in November and December, when up to 30 were stolen.

Since the start of the year, a total of 200 vehicles have been taken in the province – 108 of them Mazdas, many of the type usually referred to as “nana cars”.

Taranaki crime prevention manager Senior Sergeant Kyle Davie said it appeared the young people – some of who were repeat offenders – were trying to make a name for themselves.

Note how the judiciary system really do nothing even where the police do get them in front of a court.
It is a Court badge of honour that is given out by the judge. 🙁

…. Given the age of the offenders, the overarching principle for police was safeguarding their well-being, Davie said.
So while some were going through the Youth Court process, others were being dealt with via family conferences and other measures with the aim of them ultimately becoming responsible citizens. …..
      ….. yeah right …..

But for the owners they are still left a lot out of pocket, because of major damage.
Also often they have a hefty excess on their insurance.
The judge should swap his car over to the victim, if there is a repeat offence.

  16. BFD.
    Another Day, Another Failure

The Labour Party and Jacinda Ardern in particular have developed a rather poor habit of announcing big things and delivering either nothing at all, or nothing that can in any way be described as even remotely approaching success.

Almost $100 million was earmarked to upgrade marae across the country. It was meant to create more than 3000 jobs, but with half the money already spent, it’s managed just 5 percent of that: 158 full-time jobs.

    • Let the English have the vote to expel Scotland.

Scotland will be out of the Union before they can fill their bagpipes with air.
The English are sick of their moaning and ingratitude .

If the Scots think they can join the EU well they have not being paying attention to all the bullying, lies, reneging, failures on killer injection juice distribution that has been going on.
They will be like Denmark or Canada – a country on its own sitting to the North of a much more powerful country.

A once great people has fallen a long way.
For a small country they produced so many of the Great Engineers of the 19th Century and the business builders of NZ in the 20th Century- Fletcher, Wattie, Todd .

  17. Government dismisses calls for medicinal cannabis review to be widened

A Ministry of Health document leaked to RNZ shows officials will not even consider extending an amnesty to allow all chronically sick people to use illicit cannabis.

Medicinal cannabis campaigners say the Government’s dogmatic approach is “ludicrous” and ignores that the current regime is not working.

In late 2018, MPs passed legislation creating a temporary criminal defence so people with life-limiting illnesses could use cannabis while the wider medical regime was being set up.

Well until it affects themselves. and I didn’t recognise the Labour Shreaks for being god botherers.

  18. Attacker brought out of Countdown in front of the cameras although hard to see any identifying markers.
Arthur Taylor makes an appearance as a witness instead of his usual persona.

The alleged offender is in custody after four people were stabbed at the Countdown supermarket on Cumberland Street in Dunedin this afternoon.

  19. World Doctors Alliance, [10.05.21 19:01]
    [Forwarded from World Freedom Alliance]

57 Top Scientists and Doctors: Stop All Covid Vaccinations
Hurrah for brave scientists and MDs!! 🙌🏻👏🏻
There are two certainties regarding the global distribution of Covid-19 vaccines.
    1. The governments and the vast majority of the mainstream media are pushing with all their might to get these experimental drugs into as many people as possible.

    2. Those who are willing to face the scorn that comes with asking serious questions about vaccines are critical players in our ongoing effort to spread the truth.

This manuscript has been prepared by nearly five dozen highly respected doctors, scientists, and public policy experts from across the globe to be urgently sent to world leaders as well as all who are associated with the production and distribution of the various Covid-19 vaccines in circulation today.

  20. On a more serious note. It’s just about all over for us colonists.
In what is being dubbed a landmark case, the High Court has granted a Bay of Plenty iwi customary rights to several marine areas in the region.

Te Whakatohea have been battling for more than 30 years to get their claim to the foreshore recognised.

A High Court ruling involves several hapu and effectively grants a new form of property right, also known as a customary marine title, in an area between Whakatane and Opotiki.

Customary practices like whitebaiting, gathering medicinal plants, and launching waka have all been protected by the court.

The High Court ruling can be read here.

The decision is being applauded by the Maori Party.

Co-leader Debbie Ngarewa-Packer says the case has now set a precedent for Moari rights and interest in their foreshore and seabed.

“This is a significant decision, particularly for Iwi who have suffered significant loss from muru whenua.

“The court has found that territorial local authorities providing resource consents to people to use foreshore and seabed doesn’t extinguish Maori ownership and rights to the same foreshore and seabed subject of that resource consent,” says Ngarewa-Packer in a statement.

“We acknowledge Te Whakatohea, who for 30 years have been fighting this fight,” says fellow co-leader Rawiri Waititi.

“They have poured their blood, sweat and tears into this kaupapa and not once did they waver.

“They have seen many of their pakeke pass on through this process and I’m sure they will all be proud that their uri have spearheaded this ground-breaking case that will ultimately benefit all Maori in the future.”

TVNZ reports the Government has been waiting for the ruling. Treaty of Negotiations Minister Andrew Little says it is a big decision and he needs time to digest the news before commenting further.

    • I bet they use modern whitey technology to gather their kai. Dug out canoes, carved bone fish hooks and woven flax whitebait nets should be what they use. Id even argue they should do it in a grass skirt too, no wetsuits masks n snorkels

  21. Eeww.

Number One Shoes employee arrested over alleged covert, sexual acts with coworkers’ shoes for fetish site

Newshub can reveal a Palmerston North shoe store employee has allegedly been taking candid photos of co-workers and customers before sniffing, spitting and ejaculating in their shoes, and posting the evidence online on a forum for foot fetishists.

    • Oh well there is nothing but arrogant Europeans, old castles and churches and they have wars all the time that our lot have to go and settle.
      Fuck em.
      Ban them entering UK .
Ram the illegal fishing boats into Davy Jones locker.

The old churches will be converted to Mos ques soon anyway and the ones that won’t convert will be burnt like Notre Dame and many others !!

It is a pity the EU has extended so far as there are few places the Brits can go for a decent bit of sun.
Even Albania is in the process of joining and there were moves to let Turkey in but i’m not sure where that is now.

Still, y’know, with global warming and all Britain will be be hot and sunny in 10 years. 🙂

The Brits need to take the stance.
      Never negotiate with terrorists *
The Belgian based pricks are terrorists.

Why the Brits stepped in the help out the Frogs so often continues to stun me.
The Frogs hate the Brits and will always shaft them.
It really is British Public schoolboy self-abuse.
And dragging the commonwealth countries into their shit has always been a problem for me.

      * France – the only country to commit a govt sanctioned terrorist attack in New Zealand.

The core of the the old common market are a bunch of arzeholes
