    • Dunno why the one in the middle keeps painting dark circles around her eyes, is she trying to look like she hasn’t slept in weeks, The first one got the scribble to say look at me look at me but be able to pull the what you looking at racist card, what we are looking at is an idiot. The last one, it dont know what it is, if it was an animal on a farm it would have been shot by now as would be deemed useless/lame, how ever it expects us to agree with what ever mental issue it has, psych ward and straight jacket for it would be a good option.

An interesting article (And to read it in the HERALD of all places!!). One does rather get the impression that Barry Soper is not exactly a gweens fan.

    Long may that stance continue…

  2. So the “Aratere” was on Autopilot when it ran aground on 21st June.

Winston Peters and NZ First were correct despite the soothsayers saying they was not, but I notice the article in the NZ Herald is well buried by the dishonest arseholes at NZ Herald.

    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/interislanders-aratere-ferry-leaked-document-reveals-autopilot-button-pressed-by-mistake-crew-did-not-know-how-to-turn-it-off/EOAI7N6X7VBVRBPZLYHZ2VMJFQ/

    • Dear dear. here we go
      Refer to Winstons comment.

His was blatant attempt to disparage the crew by saying they went for a coffee.
When in fact they did what they normally did. But you didn’t see that bit.
There are more informed reports out there.
Seems he is still as bad as he always was. Never quite telling the truth
. In this case to prop up his.thier uslesless PM and their even more useless Finance minister.

He has a long history of behaving this way.
He is of course related to the canoe people who behave this way constantly.

Learn to read between the lines.

          • Na little different, usually a multi position turning switch or a button and some menus on a plotter, if they could turn it on they could turn it off. I smell shite as if you where not competent to turn it off you shouldn’t have been left alone to turn it on. Lets put it this way if you are not trained to for that job the likeness is you did not have the correct ticket for that position, or the correct ticketed person was not there, maneuvering in inclosed waters as they where, I believe the master and mate needed to be in the bridge so, sorry, off to jail you broke maritime law.

      • To crash the way they did in the place they did either it was deliberate or there were an awful lot of people who we are told were on the bridge that were either missing in action or asleep.

      • Read between the lines aye Viking? Then in your next post you have the ferald anticle which actually shows that the crew did not know how to turn the auto button off????? For goodness sake
Very interesting Viking, are you suffering from the Biden disease?

        • Yep, Lizzie, you just have to shake your head and wonder, the Oracle of the BOP is getting to a stage of being like Joesph in the brick house in Washington, Certifiable. The accommodation just down the road from you, the H. Bennett Centre must be warming up a bed as we speak.

As to the Crew of the Awatere not knowing how to turn the Auto Pilot off. Really! I know I am not an expert despite having a lifetime in the shipping and large pleasure boating and superyacht industries, but to deactivate all Autopilots, one only has to hold the Activation Button down for a full 5 seconds to disengage the system. And despite all their claimed training, the Crew did not know this!

With all these vessels going to Autopilot in confined shipping limits, the number of these accidents occurring because someone does not know how to deactivate the Autopilot is amazing. Apart from the “Aratere”, there is the “Rena” off the BOP Coast, “Costa Concordia” off the Italian Coast and so it goes on.

            • Well Sooty, we will never know what happened to the “Mikhail Lermantov”. It was not Autopilot error. Was it the error of the Malborough Harbour Master, or was it the error of the Master of the vessel?

As I say, you will never know, for the superb Labour Minister of Transport at the time of the event and enquiry, one slippery gent by the name of Richard Prebble, had the Enquiry Boards findings and report sealed for 50 years. You and I will be dead by the time they are unsealed.

          • I would have thought turning an auto pilot on in the area they were in would have been verbotten anyway. Auto pilots are notorious for clocking out in areas surrounded by large hills and anything else that can cause interference. Where they were so close to port and in such a constricted place you would be mad to even think about using one of those things. Even if you set them to follow a previous track on screen doesn’t mean they’ll go there. I’ve got a very large offshore one on my boat and I’ve seen that wander off to god knows where in the Whangarei harbour.

where theres smoke theres fire, winnie was half right at least so someone in the know leaked him the info… maybe said person who leaked the info is spot on about the coffee run too. ask yourself why the fuck autopilot was engaged at the time? accidental pffft yeah right.

oh yea and another thing vikey, only the union got pissy at the coffee run tweet. the actual investigators couldve also denied this allegation but chose not to… read between the lines yourself mr mung bean 🙂

    • Its a Maori Science Auto Button. None of this colonial shit on our “wakas”. If that’s true the Captain should be fired. OI know fuckall about ships and sailing, but I do know that if you are in charge of a vessel, you should know exactly what each and every button does.

  3. NZ First Minister Casey Costello forced to apologise after acting ‘contrary to law’

Associate Health Minister Casey Costello has been severely reprimanded by the Chief Ombudsman and forced to apologise for trying to keep information about tobacco and vaping policy secret.

Chief Ombudsman Peter Boshier took the rare step of forcing Costello to apologise to RNZ and to Otago University Professor of Public Health Janet Hoek for her handling of Official Information Act (OIA) requests.

In his ruling, Boshier said Costello’s actions in withholding the information were “unreasonable and contrary to law”.

  4. Illegals Getting SSNs within Four Months of Crossing Border.

Illegal immigrants have been given US bank debit cards from the UNITED NATIONS and CATHOLIC CHARITIES have been managing the illegal invasion at the southern border. Spending millions while profiting billions.
Voter fraud may not be necessary if thirty million UN migrants can vote.

Pressure growing on Indigenous rights declaration.

Advocates for the implementation of the UNITED NATIONS Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (apartheid) are counting on international pressure to overcome indifference and outright hostility by the New Zealand Government .(yeah right)

Human Rights Commission shared leader Julia Whaipooti and indigenous rights governance partner Dayle Takitimu are off to Geneva (on taxpayers dime) this week for the 17th annual session of the Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, where they will report New Zealand is backsliding on its Te Tiriti and international obligations.(Fuck off)

Ms Takitimu says UNITED NATIONS experts (enforcers ) will visit Aotearoa later in the year to observe and give advice. (issue orders to our puppet UN run government)

“There is some pressure now from that declaration being endorsed by the New Zealand Government in 2010 to actually get some points on the board in terms of implementation and move it out of that high level aspirational zone and into something we can see tangibly affects the rights of Maori here in Aotearoa,” she says.

(as if handing over $4.5 billion based on lies/fraud so far to a non-indigenous part maori minority citizens is not tangible)

    • I am aware that NZTSOS have put in an application to go to the Supreme Court. However, I am not getting too excited as I believe the Judiciary here is totally compromised based on the initial case and the appeal that followed it. The judges seem to have no fucking idea on what transpired. (I have read the rulings in both cases). I also believe they are covering the Govt’s arse. I have far more hope that th cases in the USA will eventually expose the whole cesspit and following those cases hard questions will be asked of our idiots in charge at the time.

It is slow, bringing out & establishing these points as facts in New Zealand courts.

Like how slow it took take out the Purdue Pharma Company, to crack open the corporate shield.
Now the Sackler family, family trusts & the estate are now being pursued in Courts. “Dope Sick” book & movie seems to be ongoing.

….. The creditors allege that the Sacklers illegally transferred billions of dollars to offshore private trusts before Purdue’s 2019 bankruptcy filing. …..

….. Supreme Court ruled that the $6 billion settlement deal would be terminated because it would have improperly shielded members of the Sackler family from future lawsuits. …..

May be a bit of a reach but will this mean Ardern, Bloomfield, can not return to New Zealand. & a good warning shot across the bows of others that may be so inclined to be mischievous of the truth. 🙂

  7. Nothing to see here.

    Thomas Cranmer
    @CranmerWrites
The Manukau Urban Māori Authority (MUMA) is a shareholder in the Whānau Ora Commissioning Agency (WOCA). The current chief executive of MUMA is Willie Jackson’s wife, Tania Rangiheuea.

WOCA, whose chief executive is John Tamihere and chief operating officer is his wife, Awerangi Tamihere, is one of the agencies being investigated in relation to alleged census and election irregularities at the Manurewa Marae.

Annual returns are required to be filed within 6 months of financial year end at the Charities Commission or longer if an extension is granted.

MUMA’s annual financial return for the year end 30 June 2022 should therefore have been submitted by the end of 2022 but was given an extension to 30 April 2023. It didn’t actually file its return until 23 December 2023 – a year later than should normally be the case.

The annual return for the year ended 30 June 2023 should have been filed by the end of 2023 but is not even mentioned on the Charities website! It just goes straight to 2024!

What happened to the 2023 financial year?

    • BN, I thought shagging your sister was a bit incestuous, but having John Tamihere’s missus as CEO of the Whanau Ora Commissioning Agency and Tamihere’s best mate, William (Bill) Jackson’s missus, as being the CEO of The Manukau Urban Maori Authority, a substantial shareholder in The Whanau Ora Commissioning Agency, well that beats being the definition of ‘incest’ hands down. The word for this probably should be, skullduggery, not incest, but in this case it is hard to choose the correct wording and definition.

As a side issue, how pretentious are these Titles for both these organisations.

The Manukau Urban Maori Authority & Whanau Ora Commissioning Agency.

One has no authority over Maori in general and the other dispenses Government and Taxpayer money to Maori, nothing more. But hey, lets puff our chests out nd lets have a business title that sounds, oh so important, when they in fact add no value to anything.

  9. From the world of woke. A friend’s brother who has been a volunteer running the Huia swimming club (in Lower Hutt) for many years has had to do a course in pronouns and gender bender stuff, so he can continue to do what he has been doing. He did it and got the bit of paper because he does not want the kids to miss out( not many people lining up to do the work). Obviously he did not believe or accept a thing he was being “taught” or the propaganda surrounding it. Just went through the motions.

  10. With the Green Party MP’s blatant exploitation of migrant workers still fresh in mind I recalled an instance not too long ago when Labour used overseas “interns” (or slave labour as it should be referred to) in order to advance their campaign in Auckland electorates. They paid them a pittance, half starved the kids & billeted them at a marae.

My Googling skills must have forsaken me as I can’t find a reference on the net. Can anyone recall which election it was?

  12. The Kingdom of Tonga has told Starlink to stop servicing customers in the nation, as the Low Earth Satellite (LEO) broadband provider has yet to gain a licence to operate legally in the country.

An email message from Starlink seen by interest.co.nz sent to its customers in Tonga explained that the provider had been directed by the island nation’s Ministry of Meteorology, Energy, Information, Disaster Management, Environment, Climate Change and Communications (MEIDECC) to disable the service.

In the message, Starlink said it will continue to work to obtain the necessary regulatory approvals to turn on Starlink Services in Tonga as soon as possible. The SpaceX operated satellite provider also encouraged its customers to contact MEIDECC to communicate their support for Starlink to obtain the regulatory approval in Tonga.

On social media, users in Tonga said the service removal affected visiting yachts that use roaming Starlink terminals as well.

Stan ‘Ahio, the MEIDECC acting director and chief engineer of the Department of Communications confirmed to interest.co.nz that the kingdom’s government had told Starlink to stop the service provision in Tonga.

“We all understand the level of services provided by Starlink, but we need to do it within the laws of Tonga,” ‘Ahio said.

“The Ministry wishes to clarify that Starlink fixed broadband services have not yet legally gained a license to operate in the Kingdom of Tonga and Starlink is fully aware of it,” he added.

“Therefore, operating a Starlink terminal is currently illegal, hence the decision and direction given to Starlink to disconnect all Starlink terminals detected to operate from the service area of the Kingdom of Tonga,” ‘Ahio said.

Ahio said the ministry is working on the best possible solution for Starlink’s license application, which the provider filed in May this year. Starlink uses can meanwhile apply for a provisional licence, which costs $200.

Once the payment is made, the ministry will inform Starlink to reconnect customers terminals.

Following the 2022 tsunami that wrecked Tonga’s only subsea optical fibre cable, Starlink donated 50 terminals and set up an Earth station in Fiji to restore internet connectivity to the island kingdom.

Restoring the severed fibre optic cable that broke after the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai volcanic eruption, took five weeks.

Since the natural disaster in 2022, further problems have affected Tonga’s cable infrastructure, including a recent quake causing a communications failure.

A petition has meanwhile been launched to allow Starlink to provide service to Tonga, with users saying high-speed Internet service is a necessity and not a luxury, and need

    https://www.interest.co.nz/technology/128683/starlink-deemed-operating-illegally-tonga-ordered-disconnect-terminals-users-told

So you have a major eruption and a friend helps you out.
Then after another earthquake that disrupted the internet cable you decide that the He should shut down the supply of the service.
Never mind they need tourism and boats use the service.

How fucking stupid can these useless bastards get?
    How bloody ungrateful are they?
Did someone from the cable company pay him some money to do this.
    Corrupt as shit.

    • The higher the system can get the property owner to pay in Rates to the local & regional council; then it comes to seeing that the rates will equal what can be paid in interest on a mortgage on that property.
That becomes an everlasting mortgage to those Councils,

At the moment is there is a balancing act, as rating is on capital value.
So if the rates go too high, then no body will put too much money into the property to produce a return as the rates will also go up.
If anything to spike the value of the improvements so that the rates can be kept lower.

That is why, for many years, business people have been aware of this, and in the past took an active interest in local politics & national politics.

The Progressive’s establishment’s goal has been to shift the rates to land value, with the idea that the owner will put more investment so as to help pay for the rates, as capital improvements are supposedly not rated.
But in that instance, land-value rates will go to what the property can bear in bank interest.

The establishment had a go recently last century to get all rates over to land value.
Now I figure they are abiding their time, as the chant is “capital gains” tax.
Once they have gained that tax, it is inevitable the will then chase the land value for rates again.

Always in the name, that the establishment can support the collective, like in the “Big Kahuna” “Universal Basic Income” for the good of every one, in the community. 😉

So you will have nothing; & be happy. ….. yeah right ……

Elizabeth Struhs died at the family home in Toowoomba, west of Brisbane, on January 7, 2022 after her parents and 12 others allegedly withheld her diabetes insulin medication for six days.”……
