Not one close contact of the person infected with the uber-infectious Delta scariant has tested positive.
No intimate partner, no housemate, no colleague, no passenger on the plane, …..
Crikey, whoever saw that coming? Not Bloomers Doomfailed, that’s for certain.
Thousands of people tested, events cancelled, businesses hobbled.
But we’ve saved so many lives from um, er, ahh, ….

    • Tbh at this stage i rekon it was a manfactured event to get covid scannig and jab rates up, prove their was an infected tourist in nz because at this stage the country has just taken the word of bloomfaiked and the lie minister.

Either the delta variant is bulkshit on how contagious or the te

Reminds me of the woman who caught Covid in quarantine from a door being opened somewhere down the corridor and was also unable to transmit this super contagious disease her nearest and dearest.
We taxpayers spent millions testing and tracing all over the North Island and zippo, nada, nuttin.
(When my partner returns from being away from home for months, there’s generally activity that would categorically ensure transmission of infectious diseases.)

  2. Mick and Dave fancied a pint or two but didn’t have a lot of money. Added together, all they had was a staggering 50 pence. Mick said, “Hang on I’ve got an idea” went into the next butcher’s shop and came out with one large sausage.
Dave said, “Are you crazy? Now we haven’t got any money at all!”
Mick replied, “Don’t worry, just follow me” and went into the next pub where he immediately ordered two pints and two large Jack Daniels.
Dave said, “Now you really have lost it. Do you know how much trouble we will be in, we haven’t any money?”
Mick said, “Don’t worry, I have a plan. Cheers!”
After their drinks Mick said, “OK, I will now stick the sausage through my zip, you will go on your knees and put it in your mouth.”
The landlord noticed them performing this act, went berserk and threw them out.
They continued this, pub after pub, getting more and more drunk, all for free.
At the tenth pub Dave said, “Mate, I don’t think I can continue this any longer. I am pissed and my knees are killing me.”
Mick replied, “How do you think I feel? I lost the sausage in the third pub!”

  3. Redbaiter.

Surely Ardern’s truculent claim that her $55 million funding of media has no effect on editorial decisions is a stark case of misleading the house? She must be confronted with the document and its plain conditions of funding and made to apologise for lying to the NZ people and the parliament. See the video- the media will not report on this event because it is embarrassing to them as well as the PM.

  4. Preschool and Kindergarten Enrollment Drops 13 Percent Nationally

Public school enrollment in 2020–2021 fell by 3 percent nationally compared to a year earlier, according to preliminary data from the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), with pre-K and kindergarten jointly seeing a sharp 13-percent drop.

    • Could the explanation be that:
      1. The population of pre-K and kindergarten children fell?
      2. Mothers lost their jobs due to COVID-19 regulations and decided to save money and look after their kids?
      3. Pre-K and kindergarten fees are rising too rapidly (in part due to compliance costs)

  6. Wikipedia Co-Founder Warns: ‘Wikipedia Is More One-Sided Than Ever’

Larry Sanger, a co-founder of Wikipedia, warned that the online encyclopedia is “more one-sided than ever” in light of the website’s entries for Black Lives Matter, the 2020 election, former President Donald Trump’s two impeachments, and other contentious topics.

Sanger, in particular, took issue with how some Wikipedia entries are sourced.

    • Wikipedia these days is much like Google, useful if you want to know the history of scrambled eggs but full of Newspeak on anything remotely contentious. As far as I am aware, Duckduckgo.com doesn’t censor results as long as you select “safe search off” at the top of the page.

Thousands Given Fake COVID-19 Vaccines Filled With Saline in India: Officials
    By Jack Phillips
    July 5, 2021 Updated: July 5, 2021

At least 14 people were arrested and an Indian private hospital was cordoned off by police amid an investigation into an alleged vaccination scam that may have affected thousands of people.

“They were using saline water and injecting it,” said Vishal Thakur, a senior official of the Mumbai police department, according to CNN.

  8. Facts Matter (July 5): Newly Obtained ‘Ballot Duplication’ Documents; Senate Extends Fairgrounds Contract

The audit liaison revealed that they have only now obtained documents related to ballot duplication—which is something crucial to completing the audit. And yet still, the Arizona Senate president said that to this day, they are still waiting for several missing items that were subpoenaed from Maricopa County—but never handed over. She also said that they have extended their contract with the state fairgrounds for another two weeks.

This well is getting deeper by the day.

Some people just haven’t bothered to do their sums.
It also has no effect until October and the at 25% till March so not a big deal.
After that it goes to 50% for the next year.
Many will be thinking like I did that this govt. will get the arse card and the law will be removed or amended.
      But I ain’t waiting.

for others like me whose mortgages had gone to floating we get to decide whereas others on longterm fixed will be stuffed. I was going to 5 year terms but am going to freehold by selling some and living of the income that the others will generate. Fuck the govt. They ain’t seen nothing yet when it comes to housing problems.

  9. Judith’s statement this morning will panic some coming up to 65 years of age. She didn’t make the point there would have to be a long lead in time to raise the retirement age. This can’t be a sudden change for those approaching retirement age.

NZ superannuation: Judith Collins says Kiwis want to keep working into their late 60s
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home.html

“We think that without growing the economy in a very spectacular way in the next 20 years, we do need to start moving from 65 to 67, so that gives people plenty of time to prepare,” Collins told The AM Show on Wednesday.

    • I remember hearing a jingle over the radio “I’m gonna work ’till I die. I’m gonna work ’till I die.” (It was for KiwiSaver.)
Now the same jingle could be promoting government policy.
Certainly in Japan the elderly often continue to work well into their 80s. This could be because they want to or that they have to. Not everyone is physically able to continue to work beyond a certain age. Some people are physical wrecks by the time they are in their early 60s.

      • How true. Desk jockeys & counter jumpers who’ve never done an honest day’s work in their lives can probably carry on indefinitely.

          • Droving is only a memory now Toko but I can recall a few trips through the Waioeka Gorge & the East Coast road lengthened by huge mobs of sheep being driven from Poverty Bay through to the BoP, to be fattened before killing. Half a dozen men on horseback & ten times that number of dogs controlling things.

Do you remember the holding paddocks every twenty miles or so along most NZ country highways?

    • Smart of judith tbh, force cindy to do the evil deed of raising retirement age so no future party has to.

Tbh i think a life of manual labour deserves it at 65 or even earlier but office dwellers and career housewife types can wait till 67 or even 70.

A farmer thats slogged all day everyday is eligible at same age as his bimbo wife thats spent her life shopping and coffee dates with her besties.

    • The only thing they did in nine loooong years of what they said they wouold do was Key’s fag referendum.
Even the sale of the power companies was changed to less than 50%
(and sabotaged by Liebour so the govt [taxpayer] got less money on the sale but that is Liebour:- wreck, break , destroy, degrade)

I would not count on Notional doing it. They are piss and wind and have no energy left after stabbing each other in the back all day.
We never even got a tax cut from them in 9 loooong years. There was a 2010 ‘tax swap’ as English pointed out, lower Inc tax but higher GST.
They never even bothered to to index the tax bands in nine looong years of SFA.

And 12 years ago the pool of MPs was far far higher than what there is today. The recruitment in the last 12 years has turned them into a pack of useless twats.

Remember by 2014 Notional were way more left of the 1984-87 Labour Govt.
The work of wrecker Key and wrecker El Presidente Shitfellow.
The future of this wreck is penis-head Luxon, not Collins.

      • The aristocracy, and privilege from birth and bloodline are not good for a meritocratic, egalitarian society.
On one hand, I welcome families being able to accumulate inter-generational wealth so that they can pay for the education, healthcare and retirement of their members without relying on the government. On the other hand, I am against the emergence of an “idle aristocracy” of landlords and ticket-clippers who create no real value for society.
How do you balance the two?

The American’s greatest triumph in the aftermath of the Pacific War with Japan was to take the vast landholdings of the kizoku (the aristocrats) and sell it to the tenant farmers and common people. This created the bedrock for the egalitarian Japanese middle class and crippled the emerging communist movement once and for all.

    • “The positions that they take will sometimes be positions that the Government of the day disagree with, and the members opposite should think carefully if they want to end up in a position where the chief human rights commissioner can only express views or take actions that the Government of the day sanctions.”

That is farcical from Chris Hipkins. In fact, from any Labour Party MP. They have politicised all aspects of government, encouraged and driven forward racial separatism, paid off the media to deliver a Labour-party-centric narrative and are now implementing laws to stop people having non-approved political opinions and views.

All the while delivering absolutely none of the core functions of government, but engaging in rampant social re-engineering.

Surely the little cocksucker is taking the piss?

          • The 318 wasn’t the best V8 of the time by a long shot & although the straight six hemi packed a fair bit of grunt it wasn’t overly reliable either.

In about 1968 the boss’s brother did a runner to Australia & I jumped at the chance to buy his 1963 AP5 Valiant. That was powered by the slant six 145hp engine. Reconned it once & replaced most of the weak front suspension a couple of times but it was still hauling the kid’s horsefloat fifteen years later.

Compared with the Pommie crap most people were driving in the days it was reliability on steroids.

Judith Collins says nurses are right to be outraged that the government is not willing to pay enough to keep them in New Zealand considering the amount spent on benefit increases in the Budget.

“It’s not my job to tell the government what to do on this one, they’ve got themselves in a hell of a pickle,” she said.

“They shouldn’t have employed 10,000 extra bureaucrats before Covid-19 came in and they shouldn’t have been putting nurses through a whole restructure of the health system and spending close to half a billion dollars on it.”

“Nurses have said to me they’ve looked at the Budget and what they saw was lots of money – around three to four billion dollars – in extra benefits for people who don’t work and the nurses are rightly outraged.”

  19. Another Sue Grey letter to Crown Law;
Sue Grey Lawyer writing to “Kate and Juliette” from Crown Law (e.g. lawyers representing the NZ Government)
The letter is further to the High Court case that Sue Grey recently won, in acknowledgment of the illegality of the roll out of the CV V in NZ.
The Government changed the law the following day, with no due process….and retrospectively dated the changes, to overnight move their previous actions from illegal to legal!
    Hi Kate and Juliette
Thank you for your letter and acknowledgement.
    That is appreciated.
My clients have instructed me to advise that they are however insulted that THE CROWN HAS PROPOSED A SETTLEMENT FIGURE OF JUST $14,000 TO SEEK TO BUY ITSELF OUT OF SUCH IMPORTANT PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION.
The issues involved are important issues and go to the integrity of the medicines regime, informed consent, and trust in government. The public expect an explanation about how and why the government came to publish it’s patently misleading and deceptive propoganda campaign which claimed this novel experimental injection is “safe and effective” and “approved by Medsafe” when clearly none of these claims are true.
Indeed to the contrary, OUR RECORDS SHOW THAT WELL OVER 30 NEW ZEALANDERS WHO WERE LIVING ACTIVE LIVES, DIED WITHIN DAYS OF RECEIVING THE JAB, (including the devastating and widely discussed post Vax death of the 35 year old Matakana dentist). This does not include the reports of between 2 and 5 deaths at each of numerous retirement homes within days of the jab
Many others, including health practitioners, have suffered very severe life changing adverse reactions, including the Middlemore hematologist, Northland cancer specialist, and the young Hutt valley doctor.
The “monitoring” of the identified risk of myocarditis by Medsafe until after the rollout is complete ( especially after NZ and the world has already had so many diagnosed and likely cases post jab myocarditis, including the airlift of the Tairua chiropractor to Waikato hospital) is another act of gross neglect to the public interest.
The government itself admits that the “jab” neither prevents infection not transmission and that it’s modelling indicates that 97% coverage will be required for herd immunity. This is of course an admission that the jab is incapable of generating herd immunity, (as should have been obvious from the start) and that other solutions are needed.
We fully accept that the Statement of Claim will need to be amended, in part due to the retrospective legislation passed under urgency the day after the decision, but also to address new information and concerns.
The Fair Trading Act claim is and remains important, especially as the government is surely in breach not only of its duties to the public, but also its own guidelines for advertising, as published in the Cabinet Manual.
My clients are still considering their options, but meanwhile request an explanation of how the Crown reached the figure of $14000 considering the very important public interest in this matter and the amount of public resources already invested.
I will be in Wellington today and would welcome the opportunity to meet with you to talk through these matters.
    Thank you and regards.

    • I have been thinking a bit more about Sue’s letter. If the figure of 30 + have died as a result of the jab ( or even if you take half of that figure) how can the Government continue to push for everyone to get the jab and not be held criminally responsible in some way?
Lets “forgive” them for the deaths to date BUT they cannot get away from responsibility for future deaths if they keep up the promotion/advertising for everyone to the jab.

Unfortunately we do not have anyone in opposition who has taken a stance against the jab. Maybe we think of a way to hold ALL MPs responsible.

  20. Lynda Wharton is saying in her Facebook Group that her, Sue Grey and some volunteers have been keeping a database of negative outcomes post jab and that the 30 deaths quoted by Sue in this letter are just the “younger” age groups and that there are another 30 or so deaths amongst rest home residents have have died shortly following their jab. She acknowledges that these older ones often being frail could possibly coincidently die of other causes.

Makes the comments by Michael Baker on TV yesterday look rather disingenuous to put it politely.

    • Curious
It would be great if Sue and Lynda could take say even just 3-4 of these deaths and show conclusively it was the jab that was responsible.
It would probably involve having people who had had a recent medical check up, showing they were fit and healthy but died within a few das of getting the jab. Then spread it far and wide including to ALL MPs. But the cases would have to leave little or no room for doubt, otherwise they would get hammered.

      https://i.stuff.co.nz/national/125677622/lifeguard-thought-she-was-going-to-die-during-gore-swimming-pool-attack

The man’s lawyer Sonya Vidal said Tume had been offended after the lifeguard hit him lightly on the head with a rope to gain his attention, because her actions were culturally offensive to Māori.

Vidal said Tume had been racially abused in the past.

Tume got out of the pool and raised his right arm as though to hit her, then grabbed the lifeguard and tackled her to the ground. He dragged her into the pool and submerged her underwater, the summary says.

That white supremacist, colonizing rope is the nasty culprit. Funny how its culturally offensive to be tapped by a dangling rope but its soooo OK to drag a woman into a pool and try drown her… bashing and degrading wahine is in their culture i guess

  25. Peter Williams: Should you be allowed to express an unpopular opinion and not suffer consequences?

“And this brings us to the heart of the matter. We have known for some time that this awful movement known as cancel culture is gathering momentum. If a mob of people don’t like someone’s opinion, no matter where it is expressed, the mob will go after the opinion giver and expect consequences. And far, far too often the mob wins. And it’s got to stop. Otherwise this country will become a nation of timid little sheep cowered in the corner and offering nothing other than groupspeak.”

  27. MAORI SEEKING ADVANTAGE

If the current government wanted to stir up racial tension in New Zealand it has done a good job. As soon as people find out that a scientific subsidy can be doubled if you have Maori ancestry; that you might lose a supply deal with a government agency if you aren’t Maori; or that you can increase your democratic clout by enlisting with a tribal agency, thereby enjoying special political rights as proposed in He Puapua, they start to question how, precisely, one can become classified as a Maori. Resentment builds if it becomes clear some get a head start if they can self-designate as Maori.

From the early days of settler society the race classification rules were straight forward. If your racial quotient was 50% or more Maori, then you were Maori. If your quotient was less than 50% then you were not Maori. The distinction mattered for electoral purposes. With the high rate of intermarriage between settlers and Maori, dilution of the Maori blood quotient became rapid. So rapid, in fact, that early census figures suggested Maori were dying out. Grandchildren usually couldn’t qualify as Maori. But over time the system became too complex: many half-caste Maori married someone with Maori ancestry, who was less or more than 50%. Some married into other ethnicities. People lost track of their precise Maori quotient for legal purposes. By 1900, no full-blooded Maori remained in the South Island, and today there are probably none in the North Island. Norman Kirk’s government that came to office in 1972 promised to clarify the law, but that proved very complicated. Eventually, in the Maori Affairs Amendment Act 1974, a Maori was defined as “a person of the Maori race of New Zealand; and includes any descendant of such a person”. This was such a broad definition that one MP asserted amidst some hilarity in Parliament that anyone who rode past a marae on a pushbike could claim to be a Maori!

The 1974 definition gave many people with a little Maori blood wider rights than they had ever enjoyed, both electorally, and in relation to land, Maori Affairs housing etc. Since the Ardern government came to office with an overall majority last September, Maori have been pushing for more advantages. He Puapua plans for them to co-govern the country, notwithstanding that Maori numbers, even with the 1974 Act behind them, are only slightly more than 16% of the overall New Zealand population.

As soon as there are new eligibility rules for any advantage, people naturally begin to wonder whether there is some way they might qualify. Some become envious, or resentful when they discover they can’t, especially if they know they would have made it had eligibility been decided on the basis of merit. Those with a scintilla of Maori ancestry are incentivized to use it to their advantage whether they need help or not. Old friendships are strained when one can benefit on the basis of something that can’t be changed while the friend can’t. Some cheat. It is now believed that people are inventing a tribal connection that they cite after their names, but no one dares to challenge them. Racial wedges are being driven into the community for no reason that stands more than a minute’s analysis.

Beginning in 1985, historical grievances were heard by the Waitangi Tribunal. Nearly every tribe, with the notable exception of Nga Puhi, has reached a “full and final settlement”. That should have put “colonial” grievances to rest. It has not, because new causes and claims spring up like mushrooms as a few well-placed Maori develop big appetites for further Pakeha resources. The demand for co-governance is the most extravagant of these. It is high time the Prime Minister spelt out her intentions in this regard instead of hiding behind the Official Information Act, delaying information releases, and thus leaving us in the dark about the official status of He Puapua. Race relations have no hope of settling down until everyone knows what is intended.

They say if you are gender deficient and are born with balls, but don’t want them anymore, then you can just say you feel like a female, or whatever else in the gender spectrum you wish to identify as.
No difference to my being a Maori.

    • Ross,
I heard about this a few weeks back and they were still trying to pinpoint the actual vaccine that contained GFN’s(Graphene-family nanoparticles).
Regardless, I still did a little research on the stuff to see what potential illnesses / problems could eventuate if injected with them.

Toxicity of graphene-family nanoparticles: a general review of the origins and mechanisms

This review collects studies on the toxic effects of GFNs in several organs and cell models. We also point out that various factors determine the toxicity of GFNs including the lateral size, surface structure, functionalization, charge, impurities, aggregations, and corona effect ect. In addition, several typical mechanisms underlying GFN toxicity have been revealed, for instance, physical destruction, oxidative stress, DNA damage, inflammatory response, apoptosis, autophagy, and necrosis. In these mechanisms, (toll-like receptors-) TLR-, transforming growth factor β- (TGF-β-) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) dependent-pathways are involved in the signalling pathway network, and oxidative stress plays a crucial role in these pathways. In this review, we summarize the available information on regulating factors and the mechanisms of GFNs toxicity, and propose some challenges and suggestions for further investigations of GFNs, with the aim of completing the toxicology mechanisms, and providing suggestions to improve the biological safety of GFNs and facilitate their wide application.

Due to their exceptional physical and chemical properties, graphene materials have been widely used in various fields, including energy storage; nanoelectronic devices; batteries; and biomedical applications, such as antibacterials, biosensors, cell imaging, drug delivery, and tissue engineering.

The toxicological mechanisms of GFNs demonstrated in recent studies mainly contain inflammatory response, DNA damage, apoptosis, autophagy and necrosis etc., and those mechanisms can be collected to further explore the complex signalling pathways network regulating the toxicity of GFNs. It needs to point out that there are several factors which largely influence the toxicity of GFNs, such as the concentration, lateral dimension, surface structure and functionalization etc.

WHO: Accusations of Misconduct Over HPV Vaccine Safety Inquiry

With each new Gardasil scandal (I should say “new revelation”) released to the world, people ask me, “Why isn’t this off the market yet?” or “How many injured girls will it take for the government to act?” My answer is always twofold: $1.7 billion and complete legal immunity.

Today, Dr. Sin Hang Lee, MD sent an open letter of complaint to the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Dr. Margaret Chan, relating to apparent misconduct on the part of Dr. Robert Pless, the chairperson of the Global Advisory Committee on Vaccine Safety (GAVCS)*, Dr. Koji Nabae of the Ministry of Health of Japan, Dr. Melinda Wharton of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and Dr. Helen Petousis-Harris of Auckland University, New Zealand.

  30. “All benefits will increase by $20 per week,” Finance Minister Grant Robertson said in his Budget day speech. However, when taking into account other benefit payments such the accommodation supplement or temporary additional support payment – the amount provided to beneficiaries was possibly “more than $15 a week” for most.

Government concedes benefit boost won’t mean an immediate $20 in pockets

Speaking to reporters outside the House, she said the Government had not misled about the benefit increase.

“We were upfront at the budget. And, you know, when we get that information back I think it will show that actually, there will be very few, I hope, that will be in a position where they’re not able to realise what the Government had put into the actual Budget.”

Menéndez March, the party’s social development spokesman, said beneficiaries had told him they were not receiving the $20 in the pocket.

Greens co-leader Jimmie Shaw is being challenged. The guy’s name is Jimmy Cockle. Why does he want to be leader? He has the same objectives as Shaw, he just wants to pursue them at a faster rate. More importantly, he wants to end the coalition agreement with Labour which he sees as an impediment to processing radical green ideas. This could have serious ramifications for Labour, and especially for the next election.

Shaws challenger although is as much of a retarded green as shaw at least he shows hes got a set of balls and not willing to put them in cindys handbag for safe keeping.
Any criticism of this govt is welcomed even if its from the wacked out greens, imo its going to take radical lefties turning on centre left to force a major change in our govt to swing back to the right.

They are certainly the most dangerous.

Sustainable is another word for reduction or control. Population control, food control etc.

    • ……” A bit like our Foxie…all bark until she knows she got back up and then there’s no stopping her”……

You don’t know you’re alive. About seven years ago my normally sane & well balanced life partner decided that she wanted a cat. I can’t stand the bloody things & registered a strong protest.

A few months passed & I thought everything had blown over but I was mistaken. Mission control had decided that she was going to have a pet & she fronts up with a German Shepherd puppy. Worse still it was going to be an indoors animal.

We were farmers & Shepherds are possibly the worst wool classers on the planet. I argued but to no avail. Tara was to be part of the household.

Mrs Nasska is a sweetheart but she has absolutely no idea of how to control a dog. Things were turning to custard & I had to step in to sort the bloody animal out. Inevitably Tara decided who was boss & now sits at my feet & follows me like a shadow. She’s incredibly intelligent, under good command & while she loves the missus she totally ignores any orders she gives.

Great way to get the religious freaks off your doormat though. 🙂

“Oh I see,” replied the boy pensively. “Yes, I’ve heard of that in health class at school.”
He looks over the display and picks up a package of 3 and asks, “Why are there 3 in this package?”
The dad replies, “Those are for high school boys, one For Friday, one for Saturday, and one for Sunday.”
“Cool” says the boy. He notices a 6 pack and asks, “Then who are these for?”
“Those are for college men,” the dad answers, “two For Friday, two for Saturday, and two for Sunday.”
“WOW!” exclaimed the boy, “then who uses THESE?” he asks, picking up a 12 pack. With a sigh and a tear in his eye, the dad replies.
