  1. Am I imagining things or did I just hear on the 5,30 news that the bloated slug Woods is closing the refinery in Whangarei and we will be importing all our energy requirements as far as oil ,fuel etc is concerned?
WTF, have I been unknowingly time travelled back to the 1st of April or is this for real ?.

    • I think they vote on friday revvy, but like maori wards, 3 waters and hatespeech the decision will already be made and orders given to sway the vote to have the desired outcome.

It will leave nz far more vulnerable then we need to be, nz will be back to horse and cart at some stage in the next decade. Evs will fail and shipping will end up even more disrupted then now.

From memory, the original idea of Marsden Point was to give NZ at least SOME degree of independence in respect of oil-based fuels, and to keep the local prices of petrol and diesel etc down to ‘reasonable’ levels.

DL and robbo, economic genius that they are, probably think that diesel, petrol etc grow on trees, but will now-doubt arrange for ‘special supplies’ to be allocated for themselves, while being comfortable in the knowledge that they are creating (yet another) ‘Socialist Utopia’ where everyone is equal (except, of course, for themselves, since they are ‘special’).

        • Komata i think theres sinister motive behind it so they can claim shortages/poor shipping on a failing fuel supply in an effort to force evs upon us.

Theyve proven time and time again over the last 4 years they dobt give a fuck about kiwis and everything they do suits an underlying and hidden agenda.

Labour govt globalist agenda… throttle food supply, throttle fuel/energy supply, throttle information, throttle freedom!

Agenda 21/2030 is alive and well

          • Mate I have a bit of knowledge in this area. Marsden Point, as well as a few other refineries here in Aus have been, and will be wound down and turned into storage only facilities due to economics. Its cheaper to import refined product from Singapore etc than keep on running old and decrepit refineries. The upkeep, expense and maintenance of these old shitters is phenomenal. The oil companies have a pretty good and solid shipping infrastructure so not much to worry about with regard to running out of juice down here. Anyway, its got to be good for the motorist..less shitty refineries to keep running obviously means cheaper fuel for consumers //

            • You may well be correct about the economics and the technical standards Mike. But the fact still remains that in New Zealand we have oil deposits which are going unexploited and our own. refining capability is now being shut down, while the crazy ecofuck greenies are pushing hellbent on a mindless EV fantasy which can never ever come to fruition.

The Chinese navy only has to poke it’s nose out of one of the bases they’re building in their Pacific vassal states and, hey presto, all our energy requirements will instantly be switched off.

Is that what horseface and her Marxist cabal are aiming for? I think so, frankly.

              11

              1

    • The Refinery is a strategic asset. If the shit hits the fan ie a war, it is easier to get crude in than refined fuel. Dumb move. Never heard of insurance? Pay a bit more now etc etc? Every time I ask ‘can it get worse’ , it does. Labour damage will be irreversible for generations.

      12

      • I don’t think you can blame Liarbour for this. It’s been dodgy for a long time.
With Singapore producing so much fuel, it’s cheaper to import from there than refine at Marsden Point.
Besides, the oil companies can read between the lines and see the future is EV’s/////////////////////

        • Wonder if labour will import electricity to charge up all these EVs that are going to be running around our roads, to make up the shortfall!
Going to piss the voters off if you can’t cook tea and watch tv!

‘Besides, the oil companies can read between the lines and see the future is EV’s/////////////////////’

After reading that, the thought occurred to me: Why would DL suddenly haver a new-found’ ‘enthusiasm’ for ‘Things electric?

          Vested interests? Accounts in Zurich?

The media will never investigate, but the possibilities would be there, even for our ‘totally open and transparent’ ptpm.

          One wonders…

          • A lot of people don’t realise that apart from petrol, diesel and avgas the refinery also produces sulphur, bitumen, carbon dioxide and a myriad of other products. That refinery is also capable of refining damn near anything and underwent a huge expansion / upgrade not so long ago. Any government with any brains would be drilling flat out and keeping it going. I also hear there is huge amounts of oil just off the west coast, not a long way from Marsden Point.

  2. FDA Authorizes Antibody Cocktail as COVID-19 Prevention Treatment

Dr. Myron Cohen, a researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and one of the investigators behind the study of COVID-19 antibodies, told NBC that the REGEN-COV drug cocktail works by overwhelming the infection while it is still in its early stages.

“It’s a race between your ability to make an antibody to protect your lungs and the rest of your body and the virus,” Cohen told the outlet. “And if you’re likely to lose the race, you’re the person for whom these antibody drugs are appropriate.”

Chinese authorities blow up a dam, flooding several villages—in order to protect wealthier areas. What’s more, authorities banned all rescue efforts in the name of the pandemic.

China’s flood season isn’t over yet, and an epidemic already seems to be around the corner. Amid the water-logging and damages, a number of villages are now hugely contaminated by dead livestock.

Wuhan plans to test all of its 12 million residents for the virus. The city is facing a new round of rigorous pandemic prevention measures.

  5. Another Fail by Govt.

They are just plain bloody incompetitent.

The Government has admitted it got the settings wrong for First Home Grants and as a result the scheme is heading for the lowest number of grants paid out since it began.

The grants aim to help first home buyers raise a deposit but price caps are widely seen as far too low in an overheated housing market.
Changes were made in April to make it easier to access the grants of up to $10,000, but the numbers being approved have now dropped for the third month in a row.

In April, 1045 grants were paid, dropping to 954 in May and 807 in June.

While the number of grants paid was 4 percent higher this quarter (2806) than the first quarter of this year (2698), only 5504 grants in total have been paid this year.

For a great communicator, Cindy sure employs a lot of spin doctors:

“The Government’s communications spend has jumped more than 50 per cent in four years, and is now costing the taxpayer close to $90 million a year.”

So an additional $30M on making themselves look good, and poor old Mike King can’t get his hands on $5M to help/save 00’s of lives.

The govt needs to stop pussyfooting around and asking/bribing them to cleanup. They need to demand action even rush a law to force it to happen, personally id like to see the funds put up front but looks like they gave robbo the middle finger on that one.
Simple solution, cease all aluminium produced or put an export ban on it untill theyve removed the cell lining and also the crap they just shuffled from mataura. New zealand needs some sort of collateral from rio stinko and not just a clapped out old smelter which rio stinko will likely sell/remove any valuable components

      • A mother was working in the kitchen, listening to her young son playing with his new electric train in the living room.
She heard the train stop and her son said, “All of you sons of bitches who want off, get the hell off now, cause this is the last stop! And all of you sons of bitches who are getting on, get your asses in the train, cause we’re going down the tracks.”
The mother was upset at hearing her son curse like sailor. She walked into the room and told her son, “We don’t use that kind of language in this house. Now I want you to go to your room and you are to stay there for TWO HOURS. When you come out, you may play with your train, but I want you to use nice language.”
Two hours later, the son comes out of the bedroom and resumes playing with his train.
Soon the train stopped and the mother heard her son say, “All passengers who are disembarking from the train, please remember to take all of your belongings with you. We thank you for riding with us today and hope your trip was a pleasant one. We hope you will ride with us again soon.”
She hears the little boy continue, “For those of you just boarding, we ask you to stow all of your hand luggage under your seat. Remember, there is no smoking on the train. We hope you will have a pleasant and relaxing journey with us today.”
As the mother began to smile, the child added, “For those of you who are pissed off about the TWO HOUR delay, please see the bitch in the kitchen.”

Absolutely NO surprises there; some of us with railway experience and long memories were reminded of the infamous “blue Streak’ fiasco which essentially occurred for the same reasons, but, as always, we were told that ‘It would be better this time’ and that because it was ‘clean and green’ it would be more efficient etc. etc. etc.

it would appear that perhaps us ‘old heads’ might have been actually been right (although don’t expect any admission of that ‘inconvenient’ fact).

  9. I just received my tax return for 2020/21 back from the IRD. It puzzles me. They are questioning how many dependants I claimed.

I guess it was because of my response to the question: “List all dependants?”

I replied: 20,000 illegal immigrants; 25,000 Maori elite; 2 million people on benefits; 8000 no hopers in prison; about 10,000 work shy refugees; half of the population of the Pacific Islands, the civil service & 120 bludgers in parliament.”

They said this was NOT an acceptable answer.

I keep asking myself. Who the Hell did I miss?

    And who can they blame?

      • Supply lines have dwindled for consumer products so prices are up. Many Industries have already cut back their production due to delays in stock arriving in the country causing shortages and price rises.

Average wage last year went up 4%, plus employers to pay for extra leave, public holidays on top of that. Plus costs for their mortgages, rates, and cost of living rising.

a “land grab” that will be devastating to rural communities, because it will drive up property taxes, hurt farmers and ranches, and ultimately drive up the cost of food in the US. Ricketts also explains that Nebraskans care about conservation, and are already doing a tremendous job without interference from the federal government.

Gives some warnings on how the subterfuge of local, and national government to gain more control, through restrictive legislation, and cost the land owner.

An economist has cast doubt on forecasts the official cash rate (OCR) is set to skyrocket, citing New Zealand’s high levels of mortgage debt.

Unemployment unexpectedly fell to 4 percent in the June quarter, raising fears increased wage costs will drive inflation beyond the Reserve Bank’s (RBNZ) target of 1-3 percent.

ASB on Wednesday said it now expects the RBNZ to lift the OCR three times before the end of the year, starting with a 25 basis point increase later this month, then again in October and November, bringing the OCR back to where it was before COVID-19 hit.

Campbell described the situation as a “bit of a shambles” and said National was occupying the moral highground on the issue, in the wake of it revealing a plan to the fix the “broken immigration system”.

This includes clearing the residency backlog and providing a pathway for skilled migrants already in New Zealand to gain residency.

Campbell also said Labour was “flat-footed” on the issue, which Faafoi rejected – “No we don’t, I disagree with that.”

Maybe a bit more facetious than anything, because I’m appalled at how quickly we went from at least semi-capable government to this emotional, poll driven mess we now have. Ultimately, I’m a firm believer in a vote for everyone. Age seems like an arbitrary cutoff compared to knowledge, maturity and ability. But there doesn’t seem to be a safe way to make that work.

For example, imagine if Labour had to design the questions to vote? Or National? Or the Greens/ACT/Maori/New Conservative/Billy T/ etc.

Ah well. How do you improve it?

  17. Well, the old unintended consequences is alive and well.
you fuck with the rules then you get what you never thought about.
Thats par for the course from these screwed up unintelligent arses that call themselves our Govt.
More people without somewhere to live.

n already tight rental market has left more tenants without homes as bach owners grapple with new Government rules over how they use their property.

A law change in February is having a knock-on effect on workers, contractors and business owners.

“It’s the worst it’s ever been,” letting agent Kylie Tohaia of Whangamata Real Estate said.

When she does get rental properties, she said there are nine or 10 prospective tenants on her books – “painters, teachers, carers and groundskeepers” – whose applications aren’t successful.

“There’s a massive shortage. It’s a whole lot of people in the same boat, with good jobs and children.

“When we had those two rentals come up, I was inundated,” she said.

From February 11, 2021, landlords can no longer end a periodic tenancy without cause.

It has prevented landlords from taking back their property for use as a holiday home unless moving in as their primary place of residence for a minimum of 90 days.

Kylie said unsurprisingly, some landlords didn’t like the idea they could not use their holiday home as a bach potentially in future.

“Lots of people may want to rent their [holiday] home out for a couple of years but they can’t come back unless they need it and it becomes their place of residence for a minimum 90 days,” says Kylie.

    • WINZ or whatever they are referred to these days are paying the Maori woman who went to Sydney to see her sister with terminal cancer her benefit as she can’t get back. Precedent set. Everyone on a benefit or pension stuck in Aussie due to the lockdown will be demanding the same consideration.

  19. The Future of New Zealand, According to an Expert

    What a year…

Actually, that’s not accurate. It feels like 2020 just never stopped. What a year and a half.

We should have known it was all going to shit when near the beginning of the year the #1 selling item was bogroll.

    New Zealand Sheeple
This week we cover Hobbitville, a country that famously has more sheep than people. This, I can attest to, though the sheep I refer to are not the four-legged kind.

Part of the reason why New Zealand has what is arguably the most docile population in the developed world is because of this.

The New Zealand media is 100% unapologetically socialist. Citizens are not being subjected to or even interested in world events, other than what is fed to them by the aforementioned socialist media.

While much of the rest of the world is waking to the globalist agenda now solidly afoot.

It’s like something changed in March 2020 and we have been stuck in Groundhog Day ever since…

Armed police in Papakura, residents urged to stay away, three men in custody
A resident told the Herald he was standing at the Papakura Cemetery just before midday when an armed police officer approached him and told him to leave as there was an armed person in the area and it was not safe to be there.
DO YOU KNOW MORE? EMAIL US

He said a black SUV appeared to have crashed through a fence and he could see police emptying bags out of the vehicle on to the street.

“They were recovering bags and bags of goods. They were opening the bags up on the road.”

There were four people in the vehicle that crashed and two scarpered in a Subaru Legacy while two others went inside a house and took the residents hostage, he said.

Debris from the crashed vehicle was strewn across the street.

  21. So, while trying to find out if the NZ elections were using Dominion or Smartmatic machines to influence voting, all the while we were being told we were mad, and all the votes were counted and tabulated by hand, something didn’t pass the sniff test.

    Lo and behold, meet https://www.catalyst.net.nz/client-work/electoral-commission.

    Quotes:
    A long-term relationship
“Since 2003, Catalyst has helped the Electoral Commission maintain one of the most accurate voter rolls in the world. The core election management system used by the Electoral Commission is built by Catalyst. This system performs the MMP calculations and provides detailed voting data to all the major media organisations. We also host the public results website, which plays a crucial role on election night.”
    A well-run referendum
We worked very closely with the Electoral Commission on the NZ flag referendum in 2015-16. Using Drupal, we put together a referendum website, with functionality for uploading scans or pictures of voting papers, giving voters more options for returning their ballots.

“We also built a mechanism for electronic scanning and reading of votes, and logic into the Commission’s existing system to decide the winner and act as a tiebreaker if needed. A system of unique QR codes helped guard against voter fraud.”

Are these people so twisted that they cannot understand the basics of the issue —to be conservative people under 40 who are fit and healthy have basically zero risk of major harm. Yes they can test positive with the useless PCR test and may even get symptoms but they will recover like they do with a cold.
But there are negative fertility risks for young woman from the jab. (just one of the real risks) What is more risky ?

She really is beyond stupid. Financially illiterate, and a head full of student Marxist shit. Why make it an extra $50/wk? Why not print more money and make it an extra $5,000 a week.

    Stupid as as stupid does.

    • I didn’t realize that the State pays the money to children?
After all, claiming $50 a week will get more children out of “povidy”; what if the problem lies with the parent (there’s usually only one of them)?

As for the Nazi Stasi in Australia, I hope they get covid and die.

  24. The article alone is good, even some simple tips, that any one can do,

….. Dr. McCullough explains that he saw a “great void” in the lack of early treatment for the coronavirus. ….
….. “I saw patients getting sick at home – getting no treatment, no care – government agencies completely missing the ball on treating patients early to prevent hospitalization and death,” he told RAIR. “In fact, government agencies [were] not even recognizing that the goal is to prevent hospitalization and death!”

“So I had to step forward, and I did what other people didn’t do,” Dr. McCullough said. “It’s the simplest virus to treat,” the physician said. “In fact, we’ve learned so much about treating this virus, it would probably apply to others!” ……
    …… …..
….. These preventatives are recommended for other viruses, so why has the government been silent on this solution? …..

….. The clear government and media suppression of information related to preventative and early treatment of the coronavirus is criminal. …..

….. “There are reasonable treatments being blocked to people in need,” Dr. McCullough explained.
Dr. McCullough lays out some of these treatments in the video. “Demand it!,” he said. If doctors do not prescribe these treatments, “that’s malpractice,” he said.

    ‘Vaccines are Failing’
“The vaccines now are all completely failing,” Dr. McCullough said.
He notes that the “Delta variant,” is “completely resistant to the vaccine.”
“To our knowledge, the vaccines are having no effect – this is very important.” ….

    The video is 21 minutes.

The New Zealand heath department and systems need to be asked about what treatments are ok in New Zealand,
What easy cheap treatments do they withhold or ban?

  25. Friends of Alaskar said they were in shock upon hearing the news. One man described the 27-year-old as “kind-hearted” who went into cardiac arrest on Tuesday evening after contracting Covid-19.
A New South Wales man who was in isolation after testing positive for Covid-19 was one day off being released when he died overnight, leaving his friends shocked at his sudden death.

Aude “Ady” Alaskar, 27, died on Tuesday night after what NSW health authorities have described as a sudden deterioration.

NSW Chief Health Officer Kerry Chant said the young man’s death had been referred to the NSW Coroner. She said he was being treated at home by South Western Sydney Local Health District but “suddenly deteriorated”.

“We are aware that with Covid you can get sudden deaths and I think that is important to understand, that your health status can deteriorate,” Chant said, adding that the man was living at home with his wife, who was also a positive case.

  26. Disney World Employees Among 17 People Arrested in Florida Child Predator Sting

As part of a sting on suspected child predators in Florida this week, 17 people were arrested, including several Disney World employees.
As WFLA reported, 16 of the arrested suspects are from Florida, while the final suspect was visiting from Los Angeles. Police have stated that all of those arrested had actively planned to engage in sexual activity with who they believed were minors. When the suspects got to places where they had arranged to meet with children, they were instead met with undercover police officers who posed as children online.

      • There’s not much difference between them. They both support big government, both would increase the welfare state given any opportunity. Both are beholden to the CCP & neither begin to understand the meaning of individual freedom.

The only possible differences are that National want to regulate the bedrooms of the Nation with added God while Labour want a free for all for about forty seven different genders & union control.

        6

        0

        • Well nasska ill take gods side when it comes to the bedroom stuff, promoting and idolizing severe mental illness like the gender bender shit does nothing to improve a country or humanity.

I loathe religion as much as you do but 1 thing most religions get right is the importance of marriage or at the very least commitment to your partner and family.
All the bad prison, welfare, crime and disproportionate maori stats all have 1 major thing in common and its the single parent/ fatherless home. CRT and progressive policy sets about undermining and destroying the nuclear family, welfare system adds fuel to the fire by making single parent homes more viable.

          7

          0

          • You don’t need religion to bring up children. What you need is commitment & a steely determination to succeed.

I stopped trying to reconcile my sanity with Skydaddy when I was about thirteen. Mrs Nasska’s already fragile religious beliefs were terminated when a dirty old man who was an elder of the family’s church tried to feel her up when she was about ten.

Our kids were brought up to ignore Godcrap. They were instructed that if they were ever approached by a weirdo carrying a Bible & talking about salvation or God’s love to run to Dad or Mum or the nearest policeman.

They like their children remain atheists & good, employed, law abiding citizens. The only black sheep with a criminal record is me.

Religion is not necessary for anything unless schizophrenia is on your “to do” list. Concentrate on the sense you made in your final paragraph.

Although as originally envisaged the DPB allowed women & kids to escape from violent relationships it has morphed into the greatest destroyer of families, hope & self determination that could have ever been imagined.

            3

            1

            • You stuck at religion longer then me, my mother used to force us to go to church and that sunday school shit was absolute torture.
1 sunday after mum loaded us into the van she ran back inside for something so i conspired with my brother and sister, told them no matter what dont get out of the van at church or this shit will last forever…. we clung onto our seatbealts for dear life and mum was in hysterics over it, dad was working nearby so she drove us there and burst into tears saying we’re gunna go to hell for sinning and not going to church 🙂
i was 8 or 9 then and the only time ive stepped foot in church since has been for funerals, mum went to church a few more times after that and then she gave up.
Still remember it like it happened just yesterday 🙂

Anyways yea you dont need religion to bring up kids but was just pointing out part of their beliefs was commitments to marriage and family, of course you dont need skydaddy to do that but they are good morals to live by. As religion has waned so have those morals and hence the slow destruction of the 2 parent household.
Maybe saint cindy could reintroduce the 10 commandments and we would all be saved// fark some clowns would truely think she was god after that.

              • Not quite
‘ the slow destruction of the 2 parent household.’

That has been brought about by the fact a woman can breed and get be fully funded by the State (aka Taxpayer) to do so .

The DPB -another Liebour/ Notional Hit job.
Notional did all the legwork and it was passed under Kirk/Liebour in 1973.
Similar to the RMA. Liebour did the legwork and scummy Notional under commie Bolger + Fruity Soimon Upton passed it

Nothing to do with religion which has been an oppressive control system by malicious critters for centuries/millennia .

You are correct but not fully correct IAASB.
                You don’t need religion.
You do need decent values, commitment to the family unit, and setting goals as Nasska has shown

They used to stand for something, but now they will do and say whatever they think will win them the votes of the stupid, senile, god-addled and woke. Influence of gangs in prisons rising, exclusive figures show

The influence of gangs in prison is skyrocketing, with exclusive figures obtained by 1 NEWS showing those on remand have hit record numbers.
    https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/influence-gangs-in-prisons-rising-exclusive-figures-show?auto=0

Critics argue prisons are aiding gang recruitment.

“It’s a breeding ground for gangs and we’ve lost control of our prisons,” Darroch Ball from Sensible Sentencing Trust said.

In June 2011, 326 people on remand had gang links, that’s 18 per cent. However this year, it’s almost 1300, a whopping 41 per cent of the remand population.
