      • Via the words of the CDC’s own director Dr. Rochelle Walensky, the official narrative on vaccines and covid has just self-destructed. While in March of this year, Walenksy had publicly promised that vaccinated people could not spread the virus and infect others, this week she publicly stated that vaccines are failing, and that vaccinated people may now carry higher viral loads than unvaccinated people, contributing to the spread of covid.

      • The efficacy of the regular flu virus is about 20% success to 60% success at best.
I studied this up 10 years ago when my GP office wanted to know why I would not take a flu shot.
I had in 2002 taken it and was half mast for 5 months as was a mate who had the same.
Then again in 2007 and I got the worst bug ever – 3 weeks in bed .

        I passed on the education.
I observe that doctors (who had endured years of education) tend to listen to someone else’s viewpoint.
Nurses- yet to ever see this. My observation is they are dogmatic and not open to fresh ideas.

    • Long comment this one but here goes.
In 2005 Don Brash looked like pulling off a huge upset at the election, but when the big south Auckland booth figures came in he narrowly lost.
      In 2006 Sir Owen Glenn hosted the Labour Party president on his boat in Monaco and asked;
“What did you do with all that money I gave the Party?”
“Well, Owen; we hired every bus driver in Auckland who could speak an Islands language. Then we hired a whole lot of buses to take the electors to the booths. But the clincher was that we promised them all a decent feed of greasy chicken. The sight of 150 or more obese Pacific Islanders lining up for a feed of greasy chicken; Owen, it would have brought tears to a glass eye.”
Nasska’s tongue in cheek comment about a little P. reminds me that many a true word has been said in jest.

      • My nana from a large Southland family of 11 kids (3 killed in the looney European upper class squabble of 1914 to 1914) always voted liebour. (or it’s predecessors)
My Grandfather always voted notional (or predecessors) as he came from a farming family.
They cancelled each other out in the same electorate.

Nonetheless my Grandmother always contacted the Notional party for a lift to the polls- to tie up their resources.

  1. Voters will take the government’s COVID-19 response in different ways.
Broadly speaking, some people will support the government for “keeping us safe” while other voters will reject the government for taking away their freedom and destroying their livelihood.

So, some people value “safety and security” highly. Others value “freedom and independence” highly.

What do you think the proportions of each type of voter are in New Zealand?
    Is the proportion changing?
    What would change peoples’ attitudes?
Is the Ardern regime on a winner by “protecting us”? (Many find this appealing.)

What kind of demographic favors the government’s handling of the pandemic?

    • It’s boiling down to a gender divide. Women & girlie men are extremely risk averse & would follow Cindy into the gas chamber as she’s “kind” & “wants to protect” them.

Real men see their livelihoods & freedoms heading down the shitter.

Obviously there are exceptions but the general rule holds good.

      23

      • And real women value their freedom and livelihoods better than wanting to be following the DL into the gas chamber. I’m wondering if she could possibly get any worse? I believe GPs laughed at the GP conference when angry little gave his speech. The country is totally fcukd.

      • That would explain the promotion in NZ of media events and activities that attack the notion of “real men.”

Mind you, this has been ongoing in this country (and overseas) for some time.

Even in Japan… ? (There are some silly YouTube meme videos of “Japan then vs now” but most of them are poorly made and cringy so I won’t post any links to them.)

    • Given the ever worsening state of education in this country there are fewer and fewer people who have ever heard this even though it is an very famous quote:

    • Almost the whole world (and certainly Australia) has succumbed to a mass psychosis. These psychoses have happened before (witch burnings, totalitarianism and so on) and in this video the presenter explains the mechanism used by totalitarians to induce obedience in a population through fear.

  2. Control group vs out of control group.

Moderna and Pfizer Lost the Clinical Trial Control Group Testing Efficacy and Safety

This is not just scientific madness, it appears to be very intentional and purposeful.

The Moderna and Pfizer vaccine tests were conducted, as customary, with a control group; a group within the trial who were given a placebo and not the test vaccine. However, during the trial -and after the untested vaccines were given emergency use authorization- the vaccine companies conducting the trial decided to break protocol and notify the control group they were not vaccinated. Almost all the control group were then given the vaccine.

    • For one company to do that is sheer incompetence. For two companies to do it is criminal and they should be “hung drawn and quartered” in a Court. I would be surprised if their indemnity covers this sort of activity. Then again maybe I’m naïve in this regard.

      • Notional are fucked beyond belief now.

They still have that Trust Fund Baby sickfellow as el Presidente, backed by Johnny Keys.
Johnny Keys is still after putting his god bothering, bald bitch puppet in as leader and undermining Collins.
So much for expecting loyalty when that Kunt Keys was leader, he is possibly orchestrating some of the white anting Collins.

The selection of totally crap MPs will continue under sickfellow.
And his stupid tart wife Dizzy Desley will continue on Auckland Council voting left wing while pretending in her vacant and dizzy way to be a conservative; or something. Who really knows?

The moneyed elite – well out of touch and with a totally different agenda to ‘the commoners’

        • Made a post on this earlier that has disappeared ?
The gist of it was that NZ is now a single party nation.National and Labour politicians are secure in the knowledge that if thrown out by the electorate they can remain either on the list or as political policy analysts etc. Jobs for life!
Spent some unproductive time at a meeting this week where a thoroughly Wellingtonised opposition mp kept referring to government ministers by their fist names .and mates nicknames.
He agreed with most of Government policy.
          Totally nauseating .
          We have one party Government

  3. So when your polls go tits yp ya gotta listen.
We need a poll on covig.

Auckland harbour cycle bridge: Jacinda Ardern confirms Government looking at other options
    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/auckland-harbour-cycle-bridge-jacinda-ardern-confirms-government-looking-at-other-options/H4PSMFQQDBDD2OXKRKVALFVJ7U/?utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=nzh_fb&utm_source=Facebook&fbclid=IwAR0qTVF6lLfacHj3NLsBP4ShOPM97p-4Cg_0UxMZboMuI8cIgo2tF2YR6X0#Echobox=1628303985

    But then this;
“But what we are hearing is that they see limits as to how far people are willing to go to provide [those options]. So, we haven’t changed what we’ve got on the table at the moment, but let’s think about how we can reprise some of those options.

    “I’m a pragmatist.”

    Remains a pathalogical liar.

    oh and this;
Ardern also canvassed Covid-19, telling the Herald she was not keen on measures taken overseas which would only allow vaccinated people entry to places such as restaurants and crowded venues.

HMMM, is that becuase her vacination wasn’t really a vacination?
    Of course.
    Basically against her Mormon Religion.

Experience of Labour’s ‘reverse speak’, would seem to indicate that when DL says that ‘… She was not keen on measures taken overseas which would only allow vaccinated people entry to places such as restaurants and crowded venues’, you can almost be the farm that that is EXACTLY what she intends to do.

Time will tell, but don’t be too surprised.

  4. I suspect this lot have a case of imposter syndrome. They can’t admit they’re wrong on one thing in case it alerts the public to how badly wrong they themselves feel they are on many things.

So, they’re choosing to “fake it till you make it”. But that pretence of being correct is leaving voters feeling ignored, because no matter how angry we are or how much we signal that we hate an idea, Labour carries on with it.

  5. Germany.

Media report: From autumn, vaccination certificates and tests will also be compulsory when shopping in the supermarket

Initial reports seem to be confirmed: According to plans by the government, according to Focus, a vaccination certificate should be required for shopping in the supermarket. Unvaccinated people can also get in – but only on presentation of a quick test, which is then chargeable.

Why the massive delay in not doing autopsies, the tissues checked, etc.. Just not being done.
It is still an experiment and no one is considering the long term effects, as there is no long term data, which is anti-science.
The uptick number now of other diseases,

    • Thats correct S1. The push to get poisons into us has now started with our water.

Milestone contract for graphene technology in water treatment
UK technology business G2O Water Technologies has landed its first commercial contract for the enhancement of water filtration membranes with graphene oxide.

      https://www.watertechonline.com/industry/article/14207913/g2o-water-technologies-contract-approved-to-use-graphene-oxide-to-coat-water-filtration-membranes
      From the article:
“We will be working closely with Hydrasyst to roll-out Nanopulse systems for a range of water treatment applications. We envisage that wide-scale deployment of this transformational solution can contribute to addressing the challenges of water scarcity and climate change.”

What is Nanopulse and what is it used for?
      https://www.pulsebiosciences.com/nano-pulse-stimulation/
      From article:
NPS energy pulses enter cells and alter the function of the internal cellular organelles, including the mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum. The cascade of intracellular disruption leads to regulated cell death (RCD). RCD is a process exhibited by cells in the human body when they undergo stress and are unable to restore cellular homeostasis.

    • One would think that ADE was ignored, but they know of it ! ! !

      2020 Sep 9
Public health information (CDC) Research information (NIH)SARS-CoV-2 data (NCBI)
Antibody-dependent enhancement and SARS-CoV-2 vaccines and therapies ….

      Abstract
Antibody-based drugs and vaccines against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) are being expedited through preclinical and clinical development.
Data from the study of SARS-CoV and other respiratory viruses suggest that anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies could exacerbate COVID-19 through antibody-dependent enhancement (ADE).
Previous respiratory syncytial virus and dengue virus vaccine studies revealed human clinical safety risks related to ADE, resulting in failed vaccine trials.
Here, we describe key ADE mechanisms and discuss mitigation strategies for SARS-CoV-2 vaccines and therapies in development.
We also outline recently published data to evaluate the risks and opportunities for antibody-based protection against SARS-CoV-2.

      https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32908214/

Then any Doctor or researcher is crucified, suppressed, for bringing up the issues related to ADE.

One will now wonder if the short term duration of vaccines are now being designed into the systemic Big Pharma system.

Pathologist Dr Ryan Cole Delivers Concerning Message About COVID Vaccine and Long Term Impacts – (8/7/21)

A pathologist summary of what these jabs do to the brain and other organs.

      1:00 – Headlines. (slide)

1:20 – How many autopsies? (slide)

2:19 – So how can we do science if we’re not looking? One cannot find that for which they do not look.
      — Where is the funding and the independent pathologist…

3:00 – Where is the funding? Autopsies are expensive. Yes. But if we have billions to advertise a clot shot to children that don’t need it… Dr. Fauci, where’s the funding for science?

3:19 – When an unapproved new drug, therapy, vaccine is put onto the market, we need to used the French legal system… Guilty until proven innocent.
      — So if there’s and adverse reaction, if there’s a death… it happened from that therapy until you prove that it didn’t.

      4:00 – Spike as a toxin. (slide)
      — What about the spike protein?

4:30 – So this vaxx spike protein doesn’t just stay in the deltoid. The spike circulates in your blood… It lands in multiple organs in the body. And you know what happens, that spike protein without the body of the virus present…

      — We did studies in lab animals. In the lab animals, just injecting the spike, with not body of the virus the spike induced the same diseases COVID-19 induced. The same lung disease; the same vascular disease; the same heart disease; the same brain disease.

5:00 – The spike is the toxin. So again, why are we injecting something into the human body that is the toxin? … It causes the disease.

5:17 – Charts showing vascular inflammation from spike protein.

6:08 – Diagram of human body. (ACE2 expression; ACE2 deficiency) (slide)

6:14 – Now think about it. They tell us … the spikes stays in your deltoid. It doesn’t.

      — In the Harvard study in 13 nurses(?) they show it circulating for at least 2 weeks. A lot of people lack something called a mRNase, an enzyme that breaks down the RNA. So it may be circulating for even longer.

6:32 – Now you hear … they died, you know, just so long after the shot. So it was 2 weeks, 3 weeks, Hank Aaron, whoever… You know what, that spike’s circulating.

      — They try to pull the wool over our eyes and say… “Well it couldn’t have been the shot. We’re too far out.” … Not if the toxin is still circulating.

6:50 – Charts showing lung inflammation from spike protein.

7:04 – On the right hand side… See how much more purple and blue that is? That’s all inflammation. Why? ACE2 receptors in that lung. Spike binding to it. Inflammatory response. Immune system attacking your own body.

Disease from the spike. Disease from your own “clot shot”, investigational vaccine…

      — They keep lying to the American public by calling it a vaccine. They keep taking the word “investigational” off. It’s what they call it in the emergency authorization. They keep not calling it what it is. “Investigational”, an experiment on humanity.

7:38 – Spike as toxin. (slide)
      Crosses the blood-brain barrier.

8:13 – Charts showing brain inflammation from spike protein.

8:22 – Charts showing heart inflammation from spike protein.

9:08 – So you tell me you want to give a 12 year old, a 5 year old, a 13 year old, an 18 year old a shot… and we see about a 200 times increase in myocarditis in our society right now?

9:50 – Charts showing kidney inflammation from spike protein.

10:04 – Charts showing liver inflammation from spike protein.

10:14 – Charts showing inflammation in testes from spike protein.

10:24 – Lipid Nanoparticles accumulating in the ovaries. (slide)

      10:33 – Check a d-dimer post vaccine. (micro clots)

10:53 – In the Phizer paperwork and application it clearly states that in the rats there was a 16% decrease in fertility. One of the most fertile critters, mammals on the planet…

11:30 – COVID’s a clotting disease as some of my colleagues have mentioned.

11:41 – A d-dimer will go up when we have clots.

11:47 – All these inflammatory patterns that I’m showing you are from micro clots as well.
If we look at this in the patients, we know that they’re micro-clotting.

12:00 – A patient has already had COVID. COVID recovered. Broad, beautiful immunity. They’re lying to you to say that it’s not equal to a vaccine immunity…

12:13 – Screen before vaccine. There’s a multiple fold increase risk of adverse reaction if you’ve had COVID and have recovered. You get a shot. You hyper-rev that immune system… You may be screwed and or dead.

12:26 – Funding for independent autopsies and real science (slide)

12:50 – Another example: 50 year old healthy triathlete

13:11 – We have no long term safety data.

      — This is what we need to emphasize to society and ask the authoritative agencies:

      — What’s the risk for cancer after the shot? We don’t know.
      — What’s the risk for autoimmune disease? We don’t know.
      — What’s the risk for impairing fertility for a lifetime? We don’t know.

      — So why in the world would we willy-nilly push forward at the pace and the rate that we’re going without knowing these things?

14:11 – Where are the billions to do the autopsies? Where are the billions to prove the science? Where are the autopsies?

14:22 – Dismissal by the collusive media of any adverse events or death.

      14:53 – Side notes. (slide)
      — Post vaccine innate immunity dysregulation
      — Increase of other latent viruses
      — Decrease of immune markers that keep cancer in check.

16:15 – I have seen a 10 to 20 fold increase of uterine cancer in the last 6 months in my laboratory.

      — In the last 6 months… When did we start the shots? January.
      — How much solid tumor cancer increase are we going to see over the next several years?

  7. I am in an Uber on the way to dinner last night . We went to Mama Parks, very nice Korean food but terrible service. More of a “do it yourself” ordering attitude. If you do go, eat from the menu and don’t fall for the Korean BBQ. Their dishes are divine, like the Tteokbokki and the Kimchi Pork Belly soup. About on parr with the Pitt Street Food courts’ things (although they’re a bit more focused on the unpronouncable things and their intestine dish had a slightly grassy taste)

Anyway, Uber with a giant called Mohammed driving and there’s an advert for light rail on the radio. We don’t have a radio except in the car and well, I’m on am motorbike most of the time, so I’ve never heard this shit before.

They are actually pushing ahead with light rail? I’m starting to think you can pick the most stupid, illogical option out of all and Labour will go for that. What in the actual fuck are they doing?

Thank the voters for booting his lot out.
    Still trying to guzump Collins.
Won’t be long and he will have stuffed the ANZ. Watch out for his quitting as he always does.

Former Prime Minister Sir John Key has lobbed a broadside at the “completely failed” MIQ system and the pace of the vaccines rollout.

In an interview with the Herald on Sunday, Key said the rollout had been “too slow” and more “tension” was needed to spur people to get vaccinated.

“It just hasn’t been well-executed plan.”

“I think if the Government told everyone ‘we are offering you two jabs by Christmas, and after that the border is going to open up’ then there would be some tension in the system for people to get vaccinated. In the absence of that, I worry whether they will hit the numbers that they want.

    • It’s good to see that type of sign, especially with the media blocking billboards, news around this, etc.

      The only four problems:

      1. VAERS is an open, reporting database. Anybody can log anything in there – there are not many checks done. (There’s a report of normal flu vaccination turning somebody into the “Incredible Hulk”) It is also open to abuse and has been abused previously by the anti-vax (prior to Covid-19) community. Trust the numbers from there at your peril.

      2. VAERS itself states that it is simply a passive reporting system. It comes with a very big disclaimer:

While very important in monitoring vaccine safety, VAERS reports alone cannot be used to determine if a vaccine caused or contributed to an adverse event or illness. The reports may contain information that is incomplete, inaccurate, coincidental, or unverifiable.

When Covid-19 was still the main thing, a number of us were concerned that a large number of deaths were reported against Covid-19 when it wasn’t caused by Covid-19. This seems to be the same – a large number of deaths are reported against the vaccine which may not be caused by the vaccine. (Or may be, but the VAERS data alone cannot tell us that) It’s the canary in the coalmine though.

      3. The numbers don’t match. I ran a search on VAERS across all time for:

      * Event Category = “Death”
      * State / Territory = “The United States / Territories / Unknown”
      * Symptoms = “DEATH”
      * Vaccine Products “COVID19 VACCINE (COVID19)”
      * Group by “Symptoms”
      * Show Totals: True
      * Show Zero Values: False

It reports 4,641 deaths. That is nearly a third of what the signpost reports. Maybe I picked the wrong criteria; so I’ll go and download the dataset and check for myself.

      4. Adverse Events. Keep in mind, that “a sore spot on the injection site” is an “adverse event”. Everything a person decides to report after the fact is recorded; so severity may vary significantly. A raw number like 550,000 tells you nothing of the severity of the event when some may very well be quite acceptable.

I’m not a fan of misinformation, although I do appreciate the intent of that message. We need to see both sides of this messaging, both pro and con. But when either viewpoint uses faked information to present that message it really does the message itself no credit.

    • Thanks for posting Alice. Very interesting from the propagandist expert. I listened to him while I transplanted some plants before the rain arrives. Not tropical in the Waikato this morning but the cat and I had fun playing in the garden. It’s good for the soul.

    • Not for the anti cashless reasons as above but i use cash for every in person transaction i can, started doing so as soon as covid restrictions and contact tracing started. I dont use the tracer app, any written sign in registry crap i got filled in as donald trump or jacinda ardern and 0800fuckthegovt as a contact number, be fucked im gunna be locked down/isolation because some govt cunt tracked me via electronic payments at same location as a covid case.
About the only way ill get caught up is if im unlucky to use an atm within a few minutes of a covid scam case using it, Call me paranoid but i aint getting caught up in the covid bullshit isolation so i minimize my risk.

  10. By Kim Bertelsen
    Dear Princess Jacinda
I caught you on the covers of many magazines while I was buying my groceries. I couldn’t afford to purchase the magazines as being a small business owner things are tight.
I saw you took a quick trip to Paris to talk to others about the internet. I’ve never been to Paris but I hear it’s nice. Running my small business keeps me very busy at less than minimum wage.
I saw your Well Being Budget today Jacinda and I was wondering if you have ever thought about me. I’ve been paying taxes all my life and apart from a 6 month period when I left school I have always been employed.
I wondered today if you knew I have a few part time students who never got your free uni handout, working for me to pay their way. They are such lovely people who study hard and work hard to make ends meet. I pay them well above minimum wage, not because you told me to but because I value them and they work hard for me. Did you know they earn more than me? I am sure that I’m not alone.
You told me today that YOU are lifting children out of poverty. Well done YOU. I suspect you are going to be quite tired. Just a question, do you think it’s possible for small businesses like mine to be a better solution to this child poverty problem you speak of? I realize you won’t get as many compliments but as they say, many hands make light work. Imagine just not fixing a problem for the period of time it takes someone to buy a packet of smokes…. but end it by empowering people to empower others.
Your bandaids will come off in the first shower sadly, but I’ll still be toiling away, needing help but not being able to afford to employ anyone.
I saw Robbo give you a hug today, I do hope Trevor doesn’t report him for rape. It’s a little silly for me to think like that, but I fear that under you that is how things are going. I hope you had a great day and I’m sure 340,000 people are happy. Is that true, that 340,000 rely on the government? How can that be?
Anyway, I look forward to you smiling on another cover or jetting off to solve other peoples’ problems… I’ll still be here working hard and trying to make ends meet for my awesome wife and kids. They are my life and I will do anything for them. I wish many others felt that way as well
    take care

Families of teens killed in Timaru crash wake to ‘nightmare that won’t go away’
A South Canterbury community is reeling from the aftermath of last night’s fatal crash which killed five Timaru teenagers. A sixth boy, who was the driver, is also in hospital with serious injuries.
    https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/families-teens-killed-in-timaru-crash-wake-nightmare-wont-go-away?auto=0

The overloaded sedan crashed into a power pole at the intersection of Seadown Road and Meadows Road in Washdyke, north of Timaru; hitting it with such force that the car split in two.

Inspector Dave Gaskin this morning told media five passengers, aged 15 and 16-year-old, were found dead on arrival with one having been riding in the car boot.

      • It’s not that pole, I’m worried about. It’s the other million miles of road, the bastards are going to slow down, that worries me!
The NZ way in every bloody thing is to penalized the rest for us for the sins of a few!
Every bloody time! It’s like it is a clipboard warriors wet dream!!!

        9

        0

    • If a car runs off a straight country road at high speed it will almost certainly wrap itself around a power pole. It would be miracle if it didn’t.

You have to wonder at the culture of the families that raised these kids. What was lacking from their upbringing?
      – Alcohol education?
      – Driver education?
      – Management of peer pressure?
I wonder if any of the kids had ever been on the scene of a serious car crash?

Having said all that, young kids do crazy stuff. Youth is wasted on the young.

  12. ACT party leader David Seymour says the hundreds of MIQ spots saved for attendees to an expo in Dubai is the latest in a string of government failures in pandemic management.
    https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/act-criticises-setting-aside-400-miq-rooms-expo-attendees?auto=0

It has been revealed the government has ring-fenced 401 MIQ spots for people attending the Dubai Expo from October.

The six-month event is billed as the world’s largest gathering of industry.

Seymour said it is an enraging development while New Zealanders who are desperate to return home cannot get a spot in MIQ.

Leaders were playing favourites with the groups they want to let in the country, when expanding MIQ facilities via private hotels would let more people into New Zealand.

    14

    0

    • While I get Seymour’s point and I agree with it I do not understand this bit about NZers still trying to get home. Is it really the MIQ spots or is it the ability to get appropriate flights?
When I went to Aussie earlier in the year I had to wait a couple of months to get a MIQ spot. While I was there the “travel bubble” opened so I cancelled my MIQ room, rather than just let it lapse, to allow others a go (also it allowed me to delay my return). I looked at the MIQ site a few days later to see what was happening. There were plenty of days available (there could have been multiple hotel rooms per day available). So what is the real problem, if in deed there is still a problem.

      6

      0

      • Ross12, its both flights and miq spots. Trying to align the 2 a few months out is near impossible and if you manage to get an miq spot and a flight to match youre at tge mercy of the airlines as its very fickle and numerous flights get canceled and then loss of spot at miq.
The simple solution is to tie miq to plane tickets but this retarded govt dosent want anyone to be able easily do a better job at it then them.

Ive got a mate stuck in america, twice hes had to cancel his spot due to flights changing and he missed out on the last miq round as they all booked out within an hour.

Three resign from West Coast Conservation Board over Ngai Tahu conflict

In a shock move today, three members of the West Coast Conservation Board have resigned saying they have been called racist for raising what they see as conflicts between the interests of conservation and the interests of Ngai Tahu.
    https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/three-resign-west-coast-conservation-board-over-ngai-tahu-conflict

Board members Neil Silverwood, Inger Perkins and Suzanne Hills have all quit, following a fraught meeting of the board last Friday when Silverwood stormed out, after a majority vote supporting plans for the $26 million Punakaiki visitor centre.

The building at Dolomite Point will be gifted to Poutini Ngai Tahu on completion and DOC will lease space in it for its visitor services.

But behind the scenes, Silverwood, Hills and Perkins have been voicing concerns that the gift amounts to privatising what should be a public asset.

    • I wonder what proportion of “non-Maori blood” runs through the veins of the average card-carrying Ngai Tahu member?
I suspect that it would be significantly lower than that in your typical man-on-the-street at Te Kaha on the East Cape.

Thank you. Has anyone else noticed the ‘Look at me I’m just so, so superior to you ‘cos I drive a Tesla or a Lea and I’M saving the environment’ ‘ attitude exhibited by drivers of these vehicles?

Initially I thought it was just me, but scuttlebutt has it that it’s been noticed by others (and accompanied by loud jeers when said ‘superior’ vehicle is noticed on the roadside after running out of power).

Fenofibrate and fenofibric acid significantly reduced Covid infection in human cells so expect this affordable medication to be blacklisted soon.

  16. Just more words Judith. You need to convince voters National will actually roll back Labour’s shitbox policies and move right politically restoring NEW ZEALAND for all of us equally. Stop gangs in their tracks, fix our health system and sort out the damaged economy.

Opposition leader Judith Collins said on Sunday she’s confident the National Party can win the next election, using her leader’s address at the party’s conference to slam the Government’s record on delivery.
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2021/08/judith-collins-gets-stuck-into-spin-over-reality-government-insists-election-easily-winnable-in-agm-speech.html

Collins insisted the National Party will prove triumphant in Election 2023, despite the aforementioned poll – the Newshub-Reid Research Poll – only registering them at 28.7 percent.

“It is an election that is easily winnable – if National focuses on the things that matter to New Zealand – to those Kiwis who deserve more.

“You see, Labour is a party that is failing to deliver in almost every area that matters to New Zealand and New Zealanders. They’re rushing through changes and making announcements they didn’t campaign on.

    7

    • Collins and National are both terminally unlikeable. While I loathe the current government, I can not see them being any improvement. And if they stubbornly cling to their reefer madness nonsense, they do not deserve to win another election ever.

          • SA you make it sound as though there would be zero cannabis arrests after legalization…
As i said to nasska the other day id rather it stay illegal as the only real rule for tokers is “dont get caught”, legalization really means hundreds and hundreds of pages of new laws and penalties along with where you can and cant smoke it, %thc, plant limits (not canopy area which would make more sense), who can buy, who can sell, limits to amounts you can buy/hold… and the list goes on. You have to be in it a big way or a right douche to police to get a recreation level arrest/prosecution.
The fastest way to ruin something you love is let govt get involved in it, now go roll a blunt chill out and unless you live with a cop theres nothing stopping you.

            1

            0

            • I disagree. So long as possession & use laws are on the books they will be used for social control.

Who remembers the old drunk & disorderly laws? If you were found & deemed pissed by the police (a subjective assessment) you could be removed from any venue, held in the drunk tank overnight & then depending on whether you kissed police arse be released, bailed by a JP or held in custody until the next Court sitting day.

Those laws were canned & now marijuana laws are used as “street sweepers”. In this day & age any legislation allowing arbitrary arrest is a danger to anyone who disagrees with the government.

              Think through the implications!

              • Its 2021 not the 1960s or whenever the hell time youre having a whinge about. A large chunk of our police force consume weed and party drugs so will be sympathetic to such users, only those that are into more then recreational use need to worry, dealers, manufacturers etc. While i dont think much of our police in many areas of their work in the last few years they have shown massive change in showing leaniancy for minor offending/ personal use etc, if they dont then most judges will rip the cops a new one and toss it out or bus ticket is soaked good.

Also nasska please point out where legalization of weed dosent involve social control? Thats the whole fucking point of legalizing it so theres full control over every aspect. I think youve had too many bongs today old boy, you fail to see the big picture. Have a munch out, sober up and have another go 🙂

They have no choice otherwise half of NZ would be parked up outside their nearest courtroom every Monday morning.

But please explain how simple possession of marijuana is not used as a “streetsweeper” or holding charge.

                  Because it is!

Ffs i know ppl that have been rolled with pounds of weed and been left to go about their day “just call into the station afterwork and we’ll have a yarn about this” didnt even make it infront of a judge, unless you deserve it or the cops having a really bad day youve gotta try pretty hard to get put in the cells for weed.

Think you need to stick to blaming jebus for your problems, if youre too scared to smoke your sacred herb because of some scary words on a piece of paper you have bigger issues to deal with.

      • SA , I do not agree about Collins. The MSM want you to think she is unlikeable. Having said that , re-electing Goodfellow is probably the kiss of death for her. I have always had the feeling Collins is trying to lead with “one hand tied behind her back” and that is being done by Goodfellow and the Board.

        12

        0

      • I could vote for Collins. She is after all about the best of a terminally unlikeable political clique.

But National with its present MPs & current reactionary social policies is unelectable. It will probably take another two terms in the wilderness until the light dawns for the arrogant bastards & they start to see that parties are voted in to manage & provide conditions that promote prosperity. IOW not to act solely as Skydaddy’s little helpers.

By then the socialists will have fucked NZ beyond repair.

          • Interesting question. Four years back I wouldn’t have given ACT much show of anything other than that of a support party. But there are two things that could upset the apple cart:

            1) Kiwis will inevitably become disillusioned with the current Labour/Green fuckup. National see this as their best hope but ACT may be seen as a better option.

            2) Under previous voting patterns National would have resumed their anointed role by default but this time I reckon the electorate may have had a gutsful of their Godshit.

But in any case so long as my arsehole points downwards National as currently represented with its conservative, religious baggage will do without my vote.

            Period!

    • Collins has to make the most of things, to do what she can do, considering the President & the Board.

The joker in the pack now is David Carter.
Not to be a politician, but will he actively throw his support to ACT?
He is free now, but will he make the most of it?

What he is really like, I do not know, but just considering how he immediately resigned.
Is there another push from him?
Timing is also important, whilst making sure people understand what his political alignment really is.

  17. Farmer Jack once lived on a quiet rural highway but as time went by, the traffic slowly built up and eventually got so heavy and so fast that his free range chickens were being run over, at a rate of three to six a week.

So Farmer Jack called the local police station to complain, “You’ve got to do something about all these people driving so fast and killing all my chickens,” he said to the local police officer.

“What do you want me to do?” asked the policeman.

“I don’t care, just do something about those crazy drivers!”

So the next day the policeman had the
Council erect a sign that said: SCHOOL CROSSING

Three days later Farmer Jack called the policeman and said, “You’ve still got to do something about these drivers. The ‘school crossing’ sign seems to make them go even faster!”

So again, they put up a new sign: SLOW: CHILDREN AT PLAY …

That really sped them up. So Farmer Jack called and said, “Your signs are no good. Can I put up my own sign?”

In order to get Farmer Jack off his back said “Sure. Put up your own sign.

The phone calls to the Police Station stopped, but curiosity got the better of the Officer, so he called Farmer John, “How’s the problem with the speeding drivers. did you put up your sign?”

“Oh, I sure did and not one chicken has been killed.

The policeman was really curious and thought he’d better go out and take a look at the sign. He also thought the sign might be something the Police could use elsewhere, to slow drivers down…

So he drove out to Farmer Jack’s house.

His jaw dropped the moment he saw the sign.

  18. Former long-serving National MP David Carter has quit the party’s board in disgust at the re-election of President Peter Goodfellow.
    https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/no-confidence-david-carter-explains-exit-national-party?auto=0

Carter has been on the board for nine months and told 1 NEWS he “hasn’t enjoyed the culture of the board”. It’s believed he’d stood against Goodfellow.

“I have no confidence in the leadership of Peter Goodfellow,” he said.

“It’d be hypocritical for me to stay on when I have no confidence,” he said in a brutally honest interview with 1 NEWS.

The “inner sanctum” of the board works in a way he disagrees with and he never felt like he received the acceptance he felt he deserved.

The former MP for Rangitikei wasn’t surprised they voted for Goodfellow, but said while he had the support of the board, he didn’t believe he had the confidence of the wider party membership.

    https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/crushing-deportation-nz-after-four-decades-in-australia?auto=0
Heath Cowgill came to Australia with his parents in 1977, when he was 11 months old.

“The 54 recent convictions involve widespread harm to the community through identity theft, financial and property loss, loss of confidence in institutions, threats of violence and resultant stress and adverse effects on victims’ wellbeing. [His] previous offending behaviour caused unacceptable harm to the community through property loss and violence.

“Further, the applicant’s entrenched drug abuse and serious traffic offending also raise the potential for significant harm. The community should not be expected to tolerate the risk and resultant harm should [he] commit similar offending in the future.

Cowgill will be deported after he is released from his current five-and-a-half year jail term.

A total of 176 New Zealanders were being held in Australian immigration detention facilities as of May this year while they await decisions on deportation, more than any other nationality.

    • Its quite a simple fix but kiwis want their cake and eat it too, currently our special deal with aussie for visaless travel/work means the tradeoff is we cant easily become aussie citizens and hence liable to 501 depoatation.
A simple fix is to do away with that arrangement and get treated like any other visitor to australia, go get work visas etc abd go down the PR/citizenship route… i think many would prefer to keep the status quo and just accept that a few bad eggs will get sent back to nz.
