Definitely not me either! I had an intense feeling of horror when I first saw her, and that has only grown in intensity with every passing day. I know a lot of women who don’t like her, but as you say, they tend to be in their 50s upwards (FYI LizzieP I’m early 50s so don’t rule all of us Gen-Xers out 😉 ). Mind you I know a few women and men who don’t like her, but still are grateful to her / the Ministry of Health for saving Aotearoa from the virus. The mass psychosis is growing stronger. However, DL et el are now trying to take things further and impose COMMUNISM (Defined as ‘…A classless system in which the means of production are owned communally and private property is nonexistent or severely curtailed’ (2) ). and the ‘virus has provided her with the ideal platform. Throw in a little Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD), purchase an entire media system for $55 million and combine the is with a political opposition that would secretly like to actually do what DL is doing, and you have New Zild in August 2021 .
IN NZ there is NO political opposition any more (Merely shades of socialism; although the Nats’ will never admit to that) , so DL now has free reign to create her mythical ‘Socialist Utopia’ (With her in charge of course – it’s the NPD at work); the one which she has been dreaming-of for decades – and the chance to be ‘World Famous’ beyond New Zealand (The NPD’s ultimate fantasy).
These appear to be the realities, and as DL will make the most of it, the next few months (possibly even years), promise to be very interesting ones for this country. We may be in for a very rough ride.

Saggy, altho I’ve agreed with your post, I do think it is worth noting that with the MSM environment that exists in this country today, no opposition would be able to score a hit on the government. To do that successfully needs visibility – which is what National does not have – not because of their weaknesses (of which there are some) but because their voice is not allowed to be heard.
ACT has more success – albeit limited – because their leader is allowed to garner more media visibility. Also, I don’t think that cries for National to throw out heaps of policy are right. Anything National proposes now will be picked up, repackaged and sold by Labour as their own. Which will just make such policies invisible by the time the election campaign comes around. The best approach for National is to get their policies in order INTERNALLY and keep them updated as events change, then announce them at the start of the election campain with well thought-out and polished media plans. If they move now, not only will the government do all it can to counter those policies, the biased MSM will relentlessly find fault.
And dont forget that when Bridges was leader, the party had been working through its policies and updating them. So its not that they are or have been sitting on their hands.
There is one policy National or ACT should announce that Labour will not claim as their own – Repeal of most of their legislation during their term of office.

Sounds like a few turned up at Aotea Square, a large area and weren’t aware of others gathering so went home. A specific point of assembly where protesters could gather together to support each other would be a better start.

People who object to New Zealanders having their freedom literally stripped off them and the country turned into a police state are now written off as a ‘conspiracy group’ and (in similar reports) those who raise questions about this experimental human DNA modification are written off a ‘anti vaxxers’.

I know that for the same problem, every one is different in what may help, or work.
What worked for me.
Over much time, playing around with 1 major symptom of getting a major coughing problem, that would develop into pneumonia, that happened at irregular times over the years.
Had allergy tests, tried to work out the season, what was I doing? where? “hay fever” “hay” “dust” etc.. etc.. but nothing.
In the beginning I could make indigestion go away with some biscuits and a cup of tea, a little nibble on something, but sometimes, going by the demand I had for quickeeze indigestion seemed to be a problem, and my weight kept see sawing, ever upwards.
My work load varies through the seasons, and can be quite physical, as does a sort of stress.
So my weight was a bit of a see saw. enjoyed good food, but slowly increasing the weight.
Finally 1 Doctor mentioned that maybe I had gastric re-flux, so at night time, some acid would come up enough to just get into the lungs to cause a bronchial pneumonia, not that I was aware of that.
Part cure, put the head of the bed up about 4 inches or more. Instant difference.

It is amazing, that when a bit of indigestion, and need some quickeeze, pop on the scales, and I can see my weight has just gone over what I now know as my critical level by 2-4 kilos.
Crash diet, & in 1 week, to lose just enough weight and problem is solved.
Now I know I will never go over by much that critical weight, and will immediately pull back.
So for me, no more overall weight gain for about 2 decades.
My weight is still deemed by Doctors should drop another 10 kgs.
I had done so, at one stage, yet ended up with another hospital problem, though the Doctors poo pooed that idea,
After a few years, finally managed to get the Doctors to check things properly, and so some more things became sorted.
I think one has to be brave to allow one self to get old, 🙂

Police responded to anti-lockdown protests involving small groups outside government and local council buildings around the country this morning, resulting in 19 arrests for failing to comply with Alert Level 4 restrictions.
The protestors were spoken to by Police at each location and all have now dispersed.
In Northland, two people were arrested – one each outside the Kaikohe and Whangārei council buildings. The Whangārei protestor was subsequently released and issued with an infringement notice.
In Auckland, four people were arrested at a small protest outside Government House in Epsom. Two infringement notices were also issued.
Waikato Police arrested three people for failing to comply with the Health Order after responding to a group of protestors gathered in Civic Square, Hamilton.
Six people were arrested by Bay of Plenty Police following a gathering outside the Tauranga City Council building.
Another small gathering was reported in Taupo, with one arrest made.
Central District Police responded to small groups of protestors outside council buildings in New Plymouth, Whanganui and Manawatū. Two people were arrested at the Whanganui protest.
A demonstration also took place outside the council building in Nelson. Police engaged with protestors and no arrests were made.
In Christchurch, one person was arrested following a protest also outside a council building.
While these protests were small, the actions of those involved are very disappointing.
