  1. The dog does not seem to be under any control, but the real point, why do the authorities & Police believe they have the right to use them.

ENGLAND: Police set an attack dog on a protester IN Newcastle at the anti-covid passport protest over the weekend.

You will find that the dog was undoubtedly getting a chew, on what seems to be his upper arm, shoulder?

It will make an interesting Court case eventually.

  2. This might be of interest, and leaves only liddle old NewZild to try and eliminade the virus, although I DO notice that it’s conditional on 80% of the population getting the jab,! This gives Morrison et al an ‘out’ when this target isn’t reached – and also a target (The ant-vaxxers) which they can conveniently blame as they reimpose the restrictions. It’s an interesting use of ‘Public opinion’ , and will no doubt be giving DL ideas which she will use when resistance grows out here.

In that context, any beds as do how long DL will continue to try and stop the tide – and how she will try to wriggle-out when things don’t go the way she wants?? Being NPD, she will probably blow several fuses, and it will be everyone else’s fault (As usual).

‘Australia is set to end its “covid zero” policy after Prime Minister Scott Morrison determined that the country’s approach is not “sustainable” in the face of the more infectious COVID-19 delta variant.

Australia has maintained a strict policy of restrictions and lockdowns to stamp out any outbreak, but the government over the weekend laid out a new plan that marks a sharp change in policy.

The government will drop most restrictions once 80% of adults are vaccinated, which the government believes could happen by the end of the year, The Economist reported. Any further action would occur only after hospitals reached a point at which they could no longer cope with new cases, but will otherwise handle what they can.

The delta variant provided a new challenge for a nation that The Washington Post once labeled a “pandemic success story.” The nation responded to the variant by instituting what it called “circuit breakers”: any detected cases would result in a lockdown to stop the spread “at the beginning.”

However, Morrison on Aug. 23 said the current course of action was “not a sustainable way to live in this country.”

“Once you get to 70% of your eligible population being vaccinated, and 80% … the plan sets out we have to move forward,” Morrison said in a video address. “Because if not at 70% and 80%, then when? Then when? This cannot go on forever, this is not a sustainable way to live in this country.”

So far, the vaccination campaign remains sluggish, especially in comparison to Europe and the United States: Only a little over 27% of the country is fully vaccinated, with just under half the population with at least one dose of a vaccine, according to numbers from Our World in Data.

In the meantime, the government continues to enact lockdowns when necessary. More than half of the country remains in weeks-long lockdowns as officials struggle with rising numbers, stressing the need for vaccinations, according to Reuters.

Morrison’s planned direction, then, could serve as the boost the country needs to convince the population to receive the shot if they have not already..

    • Ref par 5: “ Any further action would occur only after hospitals reached a point at which they could no longer cope with new cases, but will otherwise handle what they can.”

Therein lies NZs problem. Despite no COVID hospitalisations in my region – or for that matter, in most of the country – ED and ICU have no spare capacity. In my region, ICU would hit max capacity weekly.
Seasonal influenza has EDs all over the country bursting at the seams because MoH can’t run an effective annual vax rollout. They are already ‘handling what they can’
The Mental Health debacle shows us that it isn’t necessarily a funding problem, it is a spending one.
The more cash is poured into Health, the more is siphoned off to doomsaying bureaucrats and their entourage of overpaid advisors.
Dear Leader and her henchman Ashley Bloomfailed have to keep us locked down because our health budget is squandered on everything except health.

That noice Mr Morrison, being a polly tichian and all that, is bound to keep his word like all dem polly tichians do

      Aw chucks.

Words out of a politician’s mouth have a half life of one microsecond

Circumstances will change, things will come up, outside forces will come into play, yadee yadee ya

      Remember the first lockdown.
Now after half a dozen Home D sentences and more than 200 days in captivity of the last 500 in Melbourne/VIC this ‘flattening the curve’ shite has worn thin.

      What Morrison says is irrelevant.
      He has already contradicted himself
Eliminade, well we wont quite eliminade now blah blah.
      Which is it?

Komata, you are smart enough to not base your projections on the words of a politician esp. a serious god bothering ‘talking in tongues’ evangelical one.
My experience, the more people hide behind religion, the more they lie.

    • What will it take for these dolts to understand that the vaccine isn’t effective? It doesn’t stop you getting or transmitting the virus and it encourages the spread of variants, why is that so hard for them to comprehend?

  3. It was only a matter of time before Ryan Bridge started doing the mincing, gay talking B / S thing , I wonder if its part of his contract that pushing the fagg agenda must be done to keep the 30% on NZrs that are iron hoofs watching.
A month ago I wasn’t aware Ryan was queer , now it’s like he’s been taking lessons from Matty McLean on how to come out of the closet as fast as an American leaving Kabul airport.

  4. The Government has almost tripled the amount spent on online advertising as the nation shifted into lockdown.

Data from marketing platform Pathmatics shows that the Government spent only $184,000 on online advertising between July 1 and August 17.

This shot up as soon as the nation shifted alert levels.

In the roughly 10 days between August 18 and 28, the Government spent $552,700 on raising awareness about the alert level change and giving Kiwis tips on how to stay safe.

  5. Unintended consequences.
Urgent building work is under way at Auckland City Hospital to prepare more rooms for Covid-19 patients.

There were 32 patients in hospital across the region yesterday: 18 in Middlemore, 12 at Auckland City and two at North Shore.

    • In nz if a city the size of auckland is struggling to accomodate 32 samoans in hospital with covid then the country is in some serious trouble.

Of course if hospitals are overwhelmed it will be covid to blame wont it, never the fact they were at capacity ond overflowing and understaffed before we had a case of covid.

        • It’s not a case of NZ needing more hospital beds because the population as a whole is sicker.
It’s more of a case of the NZ population is aging, and the elderly need more medical care.

The situation in Japan is (naturally) growing worse. In 2020, people aged 65 years and above accounted for approximately 28.4% of the total Japanese population. Due to a low birth rate and high longevity, i is estimated that people aged 65 years and over will make up almost 38% of the population in Japan by 2060. That will be a lot of demand for elder care.

            • Not.
              A.
              Chance.

Politicians rarely see beyond the next election cycle, let alone a generation into the future for the consequences of a totally predictable demographic change.
The situation in Japan is exactly the same. Politicians have been aware of the crashing birthrate since the 1980s.
As have the Chinese and the South Koreans regarding their own imploding demographics.

The situation is simple enough to remedy. Just make it possible for a man to pay off his 3-bedroom house while his wife stays at home to raise their 3 children. This was the case in Auckland (I understand) until a couple of decades ago.

  6. Mad conspiracy theorist theory…

    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2021/08/conspiracy-theorist-karen-brewer-among-19-arrested-in-failed-bid-to-overthrow-government.html
Notorious conspiracy theorist Karen Brewer has been arrested by police while protesting as part of a wider plan to overthrow the Government.

Brewer, who has thousands of followers on social media for her COVID-19 scepticism and claims about Freemasons and pedophiles in powerful positions, had been calling for mass protests on Tuesday morning to force Parliament in Australia and New Zealand to be dismissed.

Images posted Tuesday morning show her waiting outside the Far North District Council for 9am to start her protest while police officers approach her. It appears from footage she is the only protester there.

“You need to leave immediately or else you will be arrested,” an officer warned in a video.

    • …claims about Freemasons and pedophiles in powerful positions,…
Very much the case in Britain

So, WG, why is she a ‘Mad conspiracy theorist ‘ ?

I mean, If news scrub say that shit, it is probably untrue

      From Quora- opinion only :-

“However, Ardern did get full Mason support with scholarships through university which genuinely surprised me. She also has recently attended new scholarship ceremonies of the Freemasons (I have photo evidence) giving out tertiary scholarships to some of the country’s best students. It is also interesting to know that most Governor Generals and some Prime Ministers up until recently have been high-level Masons, which also genuinely surprised me to find out. So, obviously the Freemasons have been very interested in and influential on NZ politics. How much that is to do with the Old Boy’s Colonial network requires more research.

Ardern, when she was working in the UK under the Blair Administration, was involved in lawyer work to exonerate Freemason’s possible illegal involvement in British police and politics”
      ——–
I think it is widely understood ardern had a freemason scholarship at university; although how much use this was when she merely did an undergrad BA at Waikato uni would be a valid question.

Her father, Ross A. has an interesting career trajectory and could be a Mason .
His behaviour of turning a blind eye to the poor cop behaviour in Murupara in the 1980s is similar to cop behaviour in England.
He was one of no more than half a dozen cops for at least eight years there and did not know what was going on. Mmmmm.

Because you cannot prove something to a court of law standard does not make it untrue

        Plus “common purpose”
Consider the number of contacts that New Zealanders have with Britain, and so bring back this virus, that has replicated through out New Zealand.

If you read my last link, of wikileaks, then perhaps one can see the links here in New Zealand, and know of their work.

Also note the subtle power/influence of the Fabian society in UK (advanced Tony B.liar significantly ) plus training at Tavistock.

          You mention the NGOs.
Oxfam as an example in the UK has been proven to be a dirty corrupted POS.
Phail Twyford worked for them for years, first out of US then set up in NZ.
We saw how utterly, utterly incompetent he was and yet he was “CEO’ of Oxfam (Director) in NZ for years.
I dealt with him them in the 1990s and he was a smarmy low IQ prick so no surprise to me.

He was replaced at Oxfam by Barry Coates .
Coates was there for 10 years at Oxfam – doing what?
The sex tours to Haiti and Africa were flourishing while he was NZ Director
Coates was a ‘bolt on’ Green MP for 1 year when Kevin Hague stood down.
He never had the grace to stand down over the Meteria Turei dishonesty when Kennedy Graham and David Clendon did.
He still never got in again in 2017.
Coates is one of those perpetual sleaze buckets
Involvement with NGOs > World Wide Fund for Nature and ‘Global Justice Now’

These NGOs and the people in them esp out of Britain are are like dogshit on the footpath.
i.e. best you step around them.

When you look back at the origins of the likes of Greenpeace, the Green Party(s) of the 1970s and even long running organisations that started out with good honest intent like Salvation Army, they were taken over by these sleaze buckets like Twyford and Coates ……in the time frame you refer to S1.
          …and here we are today….

    • You raise an excellent point BGR. I have said all along look at the wider numbers for perspective; covid will barely rate alongside heart disease, cancer and diabetes as the main killers and given most of these are associated with lifestyle choice, it does seem ironic people are prepared to seek a “quick fix” vaccine with no long term data.

Fortunately he has them figured, and is prepared to sacrifice, for his principles, values, and hopefully a pathway for others to see.

In the mean time the police do this as an intimidation so as example of others of their zealousness.
Other government officials will behind the scenes link up will also push on him, like being tardy in granting building permits, IRD audits,

There is no personal cost, to enforcing this police harassment, or is there?

How far off is just filming and publishing this would be deemed “incitement” a version of a hate speech law.

  12. Demand for food parcels has skyrocketed in Level 4 Lockdown in Auckland.

Just today, in the NZ Herald paper there was a photo of two smiling Polynesians in fluoro-vests, each with a BMI of at least 35, pleading for donations of food to the food banks.

I read last year that the food banks were calling on donations not to include the following foods:
    – flour
    – canned tomatoes
    – lentils

That is a shocking indictment of the life skills of the food aid recipients.!

What then should the gentle members of YSB donate to the food banks? I understand that the needs of various parts of Auckland will differ, so I have prepared four different food banks suburbs. You can come up with the most appropriate food items to be donated to the respective food bank, to be meet the dietary requirements of the local needy.

(Regardless of how much was spent on publicity and efforts to lower barriers to getting the shot, such as bringing special jab centers close to the target population and providing language services to guide them towards the needle?)

    https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/war-afghanistan-what-happens-when-mckinsey-types-run-everything

“Contractors maintained our bombers and our attack and transport aircraft throughout the war. By July, most of the 17,000 support contractors had left. A technical issue now meant that aircraft — a Black Hawk helicopter, a C-130 transport, a surveillance drone — would be grounded.

The contractors also took proprietary software and weapons systems with them. They physically removed our helicopter missile-defense system. Access to the software that we relied on to track our vehicles, weapons and personnel also disappeared.”

    • The problem with those “Biden” voters and their ilk, is that they do not really change.
Note they still follow CNN, which will continue to support the Deep State systemic institutions, They have shifted, like exposing the US drone strike in Kabul, and will be ok with pushing Biden under a bus, sort of like can not continue to cover up for Biden,or they will lose too much credibility.

They reinforce the RINO’s as Farrier would.
Their belief, is we were conned, and it can be done better next time.

For some reason the programme doesn’t take my calls anymore (even though I have called him in the past). But if I could call him I’d say that there is NO OTHER REASON than CONTROL for the different ‘alert levels’. The whole point of having differing levels of imprisonment between, say, Auckland and Mercer is TO DIVIDE US and give the Marxists the opportunity to set up ROADBLOCKS. It’s just an exercise in control and an opportunity to publicly flex their police muscles and whip the sheeple into obedience.

Our society is literally having the life squeezed out of it. What have our lives become? But even more amazingly, WHY THE FUCK DO WE OBEY THESE ASSHOLES?

Today will be the first time I’ve had to go near the liquor shop since the lockdown started and it’ll be the same as always,
    8 bottles of whiskey,
2 crates of medium white casks,
    6 slabs of steinlager,
    4 casks of red wine,
    6 bottles of black rum.
I’m fairly confident that with my moderated drinking habits this will get me through to the end of the lockdown,
PS, when I return from the liquor shop I’ve promised my Mrs who has a leg injury to go back and pick up her supplies as well which will be embarrassing because unlike myself she’s a real pisshead.

New Zealand Post has unveiled a new $15 million logo and rebrand to visually unite its Courier Post, Pace and Rural Post courier services.

Chief executive Dave Walsh said the state-owned enterprise, which was facing declining revenues in the letter business but rapid growth in its courier services, wanted to ensure the three brands had the same livery.

Currently, NZ Post’s Rural Post vans are painted red, and its Pace urgent service or Courier Post vans yellow and red, which was confusing for customers.
        ————–
I suspect the only ones confused were the low IQ twats at NZ Post.

What was interesting to me was last week as I went for an ‘authorised walk’ in lockdown 4 I noticed a NZ Post post box I have used in the past. Instead of red it was a tacky navy blue.
Basically someone had gone over the old surface with a rough brush job once or twice. I rang my finger down it. Close up it looked rough and to the touch it was worse.

As with Govt Depts I fail to see where $15 million has gone – on a fruitless exercise for a monopoly.

  18. Some companies just don’t like their staff.

Air NZ proposes making Covid-19 vaccination compulsory for 4000 staff

Perhaps they would be better to keep up with the latest developments rather than following other dead and smelly horses.
Air New Zealand is proposing making Covid-19 vaccination compulsory for about 4000 staff, roughly half its workforce.

About 2300 Air New Zealand cabin crew, pilots, engineering and maintenance, airport and supply chain workers are already covered by a mandatory vaccination order introduced by the Government in July.

These workers must have had their first Covid-19 vaccine dose by September 30 and be fully vaccinated by early November.

So far more than 86 per cent had received their first dose of the vaccine, and 82 per cent had received both doses.

    https://www.stuff.co.nz/business/industries/126246260/air-nz-proposes-making-covid19-vaccination-compulsory-for-4000-staff

Hope they have a good compensation plan for the dead ones. Hope they lose all their staff. Useless bastards.

  19. Waimauku resident Paige Rust woke to find her car half-submerged in flood water, one of many victims of freak flooding in the Auckland region.

But insurer State Insurance said the third party, fire and theft policy it sold to cover Rust’s 2006 Nissan Wingroad only covered damage caused by natural disasters, and flood did not count as a natural disaster.

Rust, 18, said it was “very disappointing. This feels like a natural disaster, as it was nature that caused this”.

“I’m not sure how this isn’t a natural disaster. How else it would be defined? Everyone else that I have talked to, family, friends, count this as a natural disaster,” she said.

  20. This article from one Virginia Fallon (Apparently a Senior Writer at Stuff; so therefore immediately suspect) appeared on the Stuff website on 26 August 2021 and makes for interesting reading.

Her patronising, and disapproving bias is very evident, and I have posted the article here as an example of exactly what the SMS thinks of those who dare to object to DL’s maniac ideas.

There are various ‘Interesting’ bits throughout the article and I’ve used BLOCK CAPS to show these. They make for ‘educational’ reading, and I’m sure that Ms Fallon considers what she wrote to be witty, accurate and oh so woke and that her audience will think she is the most marvellous ‘journalist’ on the entire planet.

I found this justification enlightening; the kool-ade having apparently been consumed in large quantities, helped no-doubt by a portion of the $55 million bribe: : ‘While I’m usually the first person to encourage a bit of healthy transgression, this ain’t the time. Our very lives are at stake’.

It should be noted however, that this article also appeared in various Stuff-controlled local newspapers throughout the country,, and in some cases the print version differs considerably from the online version. An opinion which wouldn’t cut it online is apparently quite acceptable in the less-well-educated provinces. Where this is the case I have made the appropriate notations.

    The article follows:

    ‘Opinion:

Title on Stuff site: ‘New Zealand Lockdown’s List of shame’

Title in regional newspapers: ‘The Covid lockdown’s List of shame’

They are among us, and it has never been so obvious as it is now. Among the many benefits of our new mandatory mask wearing IS THAT STUPID PEOPLE ARE FAR MORE EASILY IDENTIFIABLE It’s brilliant. Where once you had to endure at least a few minutes of interaction before being able to make a call about someone’s intelligence, masks make it almost instant.

You’ve seen them: the lady with her nose hanging over the top of her mask, the man with his nestled snugly under his chin but below his mouth, and – quite seriously – the woman I saw pull her mask away from her maw so she could enjoy an unhindered dry cough in the dairy.

{This next section was added to the article when it appeared in various provincial newspapers; It was omitted from the Stuff online version:

‘In pre-mask days these are the sorts who may have initially presented themselves as thinking types, but now they can’t trick us, and that’s a good thing BECAUSE THE MOST DANGEROUS THING ABOUT LOCVKDOWN ISN’T THE CORONAVIRUS, IT’S THEM.).

Mask-wearing is mandatory in a range of circumstances right now, including visiting essential services, and travelling on public transport, while the Government is also encouraging Kiwis to wear them when they go outside. It’s not hard to wear one properly.

I’m not talking about those New Zealanders exempt from wearing masks, but those who aren’t and refuse to do it properly. As if the deadly Delta virus wasn’t enough for New Zealand to battle, we have to contend with those seemingly determined to catch, spread or deny it.

Although the aforementioned mask-wearers are the most obvious day-to-day example of this, you don’t have to look far to find other examples. Our second national lockdown had barely started before the lesser-thinking people of our country had begun acting up.

Half an hour after level 4 kicked into force, Dunedin police broke up a party of more than 100 drunken students. A few days later three people were arrested after an anti-lockdown protest in Christchurch, and two people were arrested in the Far North for refusing to wear masks.

A small group of people protested lockdown rules in Auckland.

We also had employers telling their hospitality staff to come into work, Marlborough people tried to go fishing, and an exodus of Aucklanders headed off on holiday.

A 58-year-old man allegedly spat at a security guard outside a Christchurch supermarket, a Taupō person fell off their mountain bike and had to be rescued by helicopter, and a paraglider took to the skies above Mount Maunganui.

Let’s also not forget the group who held a clandestine political meeting in Auckland, or the Labour Party volunteers who delivered pamphlets not once but twice in the first week.

By August 23 – that was Monday and less than a week in – more than 300 people had received infringement notices for failing to stay home, and 15 had been slapped with notices for failing to wear a mask.

It’s obviously not just New Zealanders acting foolishly – it’s a problem the world over – but while Australia’s Covid-19 response is nothing to be envied, perhaps their attitude to lockdown flouters is.

A few days ago 30 people were each fined the equivalent of NZ$1045 for attending an illegal church gathering in Sydney, and the organisation fined A$5000.

While I’m usually the first person to encourage a bit of healthy transgression, this ain’t the time. Our very lives are at stake.

Despite those 300 infringement notices, New Zealand police have been mainly using an “educational approach” and, while that’s very kind, the people breaking the rules know damn well they’re doing it. They are adults who’ve been through lockdown before, just like the rest of us have, so any ignorance here is wilful. It’s time we kept staying safe, stayed home and stopped being kind.

THESE PEOPLE SHOULD BE TREATED WITH THE SEVERITY ANYONE ELSE RECEIVES WHEN THEY KNOWINGLY ENFANGER LIVES. THEY NEED TO BE PUT SOMEWHERE THAT’LL KEEP THE REST OF US SAFE.

Not jail, but somewhere just as unpleasant: Australia (In the ‘printed article ‘New South Wales’) perhaps.

This column was amended to recognise that there are some people with legitimate exemptions from wearing masks. (Amended August 26, 2021, at 9.31am)

  21. How many people seriously believe that these restrictions are only about Covid.
People need to wake as there are much bigger agendas out there. Socialism, Communism Totalitarnism, call it what you like but we are being groomed to accept that govts of the world are our only true source of truth (DLs own comments) so once accepted by the masses, we are totally screwed. Censorship of anything that goes against the govt narrative, cancellation of doctors licences’ (should they dare to offer a conflicting opinion) arrests for protesting and on and on, this is all bullshit and lies
    Larger forces are at play.

      Neo-feudalism, anyone?

      Here is someone’s definition:
      Neo-feudalism
“The phenomenon of [global] corporations taking control of cultures and individuals through money, policies, practices, and gatekeeping in general to the point that they control many aspects of everyday private life. Because of neo-feudalism, I now work 60 hours a week just to keep my job, so I have no life outside of work.
“I had to stop smoking/go on a diet/get my tats removed/buy phone service from company X as a condition of employment. Neo-feudalism is killing me.
“Under neo-feudalism, those with money and power tell those without ‘We own your ass.'”

Eg. 2.1 per 1000 2.2 per 1000 then yesterdays “49 cases” it had jumped to 3 positives per 1000 tests.

The case numbers dropped because they tested less.

There’s the trend (that you knew already). Elderly with underlying health issues (comorbidities) are the ones who need to be protected. The rest of us need to be left alone to get on with our lives and businesses.

    • I think we’ll all agree that we’re having a truly fantastic time and we’re very privileged to be living right now in this wonderful era.

It’s not often that we get the opportunity to watch a whole civilisation crumble into dust. It only happens every couple of thousand years or so, so we must count ourselves lucky to have a ringside seat and be in on the action.

I have to say that this is much more fun than the fall of Rome. It’s more immediate and as participants we can really get up close and feel it as it happens. Rome’s death took a hundred years or so, but with this one there’s no hanging around, so that’s a bonus. And we can watch it on TV too, so this has got to be a good thing, right?

A Butler County judge in Ohio has ordered a hospital to administer Ivermectin to a ventilated COVID-19 patient, granting an emergency relief filed by the patient’s wife.

Butler County Common Pleas Judge Gregory Howard ruled last week that West Chester Hospital, part of the University of Cincinnati’s health network UC Health, must “immediately administer Ivermectin” to patient Jeffrey Smith following his doctor’s prescription of 30 mg of Ivermectin for 21 days, the Ohio Capital Journal reported.

A new program in San Fransisco will pay people at high risk of shooting someone not to pull the trigger to help alleviate rising gun violence in the city.

Davis explained that the program is not “transactional,” but will rather focus on making investments in communities most impacted by violence.

  37. Medsafe. September 1

    Summary of reported deaths
Up to and including 14 August 2021, a total of 31 deaths were reported to CARM after the administration of the Comirnaty vaccine. Following medical assessments by CARM and Medsafe it has been determined that:
17 of these deaths are unlikely related to the COVID-19 vaccine
4 deaths could not be assessed due to insufficient information
9 cases are still under investigation.
1 death was likely due to vaccine induced myocarditis (awaiting Coroner’s determination)
By chance, some people will experience new illnesses or die from a pre-existing condition shortly after vaccination, especially if they are elderly. Therefore, part of our review process includes comparing natural death rates to observed death rates following vaccination, to determine if there are any specific trends or patterns that might indicate a vaccine safety concern. There are currently no indications to suggest that the vaccine caused the deaths.
