  1. That’s a cracker Ed, so true – nice work!

This ones for Ody-sen and his amusement with the English language. It appears there was a prophet in 18th century Scotland who foresaw Arderns existence, even creating a word to describe her:

Word of the day is ‘dowfart’ (18th-century Scots): one who is feeble, idle, and entirely ineffectual.

For a moment I’d started thinking Phil Twiford might have lost his touch, but it appears he’s still got it.

One of the crimes was for producing a false passport. Wonder if he also produced a fat wallet.

  5. New Documents Contradict Dr. Fauci’s “Gain of Function” Research Denials
by Matt PalumboPosted: September 7, 2021
Fight tech tyranny. Join Dan on Parler @dbongino.

Freedom Of Information Act lawsuit from The Intercept has led to over 900 pages of documents related to EcoHealth Alliance and their work with the Wuhan Institute of Virology being released.

Their report reveals new details about coronavirus research in China’s labs, including the revelation of a third lab that research was being conducted at. They also contradict Dr. Fauci’s denials about gain of function research.

Among the documents released include unpublished grant proposals funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and updates to EcoHealth Alliance’s research project.

    According to The Post Millennial:

One of the grants, titled “Understanding the Risk of Bat Coronavirus Emergence,” looked to screen both bats and those that work in close quarters to these animals for novel coronavirus, and was headed by Dr. Peter Daszak. The Intercept writes “the documents contain several critical details about the research in Wuhan, including the fact that key experimental work with humanized mice was conducted at a biosafety level 3 lab at Wuhan University Center for Animal Experiment — and not at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, as was previously assumed. Most emerging human viruses come from wildlife, and these represent a significant threat to global public health and biosecurity – as demonstrated by the SARS coronavirus pandemic of 2002-03 and an ongoing SARS-like epidemic in the Middle East,” the proposal states.

“This project seeks to understand what factors allow animal Coronaviruses to evolve and jump into the human population by studying virus diversity in a critical group of animals (bats), at sites of high risk for emergence (wildlife markets) in an emerging disease hotspot (China),” it reads. EcoHealth Alliance was provided with a $3.1 million grant for the research, with $599,000 going to the Wuhan Institute of Virology for research that includes identifying and altering bat coronaviruses.

The funding was renewed for a five year period that ended in 2019, and Trump revoked it in 2020.

Alina Chan, a molecular biologist at the Broad Institute, told The Intercept that the documents showed that EcoHealth Alliance has reason to take the lab leak theory seriously. “In this proposal, they actually point out that they know how risky this work is. They keep talking about people potentially getting bitten — and they kept records of everyone who got bitten,” Chan said. “Does EcoHealth have those records? And if not, how can they possibly rule out a research-related accident?

The use of U.S. money to fund risky research in China has been a source of conflict between Senator Rand Paul and Dr. Fauci during their public clashes that never fail to go viral. Fauci defended the nearly $600k in funding for the Wuhan institute back in May, stating “The larger grant was about $600,000 over a period of five years. So it was a modest amount. The purpose of it was to study the animal-human interface, to do surveillance and to determine if these bat viruses were even capable of’ infecting humans.”

When Paul insisted that the cash funded gain of function research, Fauci told him that “you are entirely and completely incorrect.”

Glenn Greenwald, who co-founded The Intercept but resigned in October of last year over disagreements “over the role of edits and the nature of censorship,” pointed out that one of the organization’s political hacks had previously accused Rand Paul of lying for suggesting that Fauci could’ve funded research that caused the pandemic.

2/ But yesterday, the very same @theintercept admits it sought documents about Fauci-funded research by EcoHealth (Peter Daszak’s group) that “raise additional questions about the theory that the pandemic may have begun in a lab accident.”https://t.co/R4UbfZSCWa

    — Glenn Greenwald (@ggreenwald) September 7, 2021

4/ Even when they accidentally do reporting that undermines liberal political causes, Intercept editors have to make sure they stay loyal. The admit that Daszak’s highly risking research was funded by NIAID, but never once mention the name “Fauci,” the Director of that agency: pic.twitter.com/xRXKT6qyMO

    • Thanks Viking

A good friend of Fauci, Peter Daszak, head of EcoHealth Alliance :-
…. A quote that best sums up the thinking inside many of our public health institutions comes from Peter Daszak, head of EcoHealth Alliance, a non-profit non-governmental organization that works closely with public health agencies like the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and intergovernmental organizations like the WHO (published in a 2016 report by the National Academy of Sciences):
“Daszak reiterated that, until an infectious disease crisis is very real, present, and at an emergency threshold, it is often largely ignored.
To sustain the funding base beyond the crisis, he said, we need to increase public understanding of the need for MCMs [medical counter measures] such as a pan-influenza or pan-coronavirus vaccine.
A key driver is the media, and the economics follow the hype.
We need to use that hype to our advantage to get to the real issues.
Investors will respond if they see profit at the end of process,
      Daszak stated.” [Emphasis mine]

  6. So this might be a bit confrontational but an easy way for ones opinions to be taken at face value is to come out from behind a pseudonym. I understand that there are risks and even fears. This is a war, but I own everything I say, so does Ed. as blog owner. There are some people that are risking a lot in this fight in these days of cancel culture but is it enough to have others say for us what we won’t say for ourselves openly? I don’t think that I have much to lose, the kids don’t need an inheritance lol but I do believe that I will lose much more if I don’t try and make a difference.

    • Understand your point of view Rachael but I respectfully disagree. My old man was an ex intelligence gatherer and he despaired at the willingness of people to undermine their privacy, especially via social media. Given what he was privy to he had a very low trust of governments, including our own. He often quoted a former NSA head who was on record that they had spent billions building infrastructure to harvest information that people were now giving away for free.

  7. For a “terror attack” the media are kinda letting the story die as quick as they can arent they, no tough questions no victim sob stories.
Literally the polar opposite of the usual hysterical and sensationalized response, a “polar blast” prediction has more write ups and collumn inches then stabbys attack got. How sad but to anyone with half a brain its clear theres a massive cover up going on and likely the media is giving enough time for the paper shredders to finish.

  9. Jacinda fails again.

Anyone else seen this from Matt King Northland MP?

[Today] Ardern announced to New Zealanders that the Crown and the Police did everything they could to lock the New Lynn Countdown Isis terrorist up but the law prevented this.

She then went on to say that the High Court refused to convict and imprison him on planning a terrorist attack. What she didn’t say however was that the High Court Judge who made that decision was so concerned that the law was inadequate (because planning a terrorist attack was not an offence in New Zealand and wouldn’t allow him to imprison this man) that in a rare move he requested High Court staff to send his judgment to the Attorney General, the Solicitor General and the Law Commission with this advice.

    That was in July 2020.

The Judge went so far as to specifically warn government that the lack of adequate legislation meant that there was a serious threat to public safety from “lone wolf” attacks particularly since the Christchurch terror attack. He said parliament needed to create the offence as the courts did not have the power to do this. And what is so sadly ironic is that his specific warning to government which related to a specific defendant before him was exactly what this same man did.

The warning was given to government over 13 months ago and yet as we are now getting so used to, this Ardern led government is just too slow at doing anything unless it suits their specific political agenda.

Yes they will make excuse after excuse about how long it takes to get legislation drafted and into law but in this case those excuses are total rubbish. This is a simple addition to current law that could have been made in a month and moved into law under urgency. Proof of this is the fact it took them less than a month to change the Firearms laws after the Christchurch terror attack. Australia and the UK already have this “planning a terrorist act” legislation and New Zealand could simply have adopted their wording.

Labour had the numbers to do it alone even though there would be no objection from National and Act for tougher terrorist laws. Further Ardern’s latest excuse that this legislation could not be exercised retrospectively is also irrelevant as the Police and SIS’s belief that this man was planning a terrorist action had not gone away and they would have been perfectly able to lay new charges if the law was in place. Instead, because the government was so slow at getting the law changed, Police had some 30 officers involved in surveillance on him. This is absolutely absurd they had to do this because the required law change had not been made. Having 30 Police involved in watching this man 24/7 meant they totally believed he was planning a terrorist act.

Make your own judgment. It is very clear to me.

    • Regretably Matt King is no longer Northland’s MP. That position is held by Labour’s Maori separatist advocate Willow-Jean Prime.

Yet I understand that King is keen to have another crack at the seat on behalf of the Nats in 2023. He’d better back off criticising National’s spiritual leader Cindy or they may declare him to be a reactionary.

  10. One of the reasons for the reaction to the ACT leader publishing the COVID vaccine Maori code is that there is always a hyper-reaction to anything that is “reserved” for an oppressed class being used by someone not in that in-group. (No matter how underutilized that service is.)

To trigger the ire of the righteous, a member of an oppressor class merely has to attempt to use something that is reserved for (but seldom used) by an oppressed class.

Never mind that we are all supposed to be equal under the law, and it is immoral to waste life-giving (alleged) medication that has a short use life.

    • Even more hilarious, Seymour is part Maori and most of the self righteous bleaters who are up in arms about this look as white as he does. Apart from that, anyone can be a Maori you just have to identify as one. This means all the figures these tossers are bandying about are pretty much meaningless. For all we know the Maori electoral roll could be filled with Germans or Nigerians who choose to identify as Maori. Unless you go through the whole lot and work out who really is a Maori the result of any calculation based on them will be about as accurate as a Shaun Hendy prediction, in other words gospel to this government. God help us.

      • I try to avoid using the term “Maori” and instead use the far more awkward but more accurate term “person who self-identifies as Maori”.
The reason is that there are very likely no full-blooded Maori left in this country.

There are Samoans, Chinese, Japanese, people who self-identify as English, but no Maori.

English is a culture, but is an admixture; not a race.

Push Japan back 3,000 years to the Yayoi period, and you have something similar to the British Isles in around 900 AD. Invaders displacing and dominating the earlier cultures.

Push NZ back 200-600 years and again, invaders displacing and dominating the earlier cultures.

“I have certain rules I live by. My first rule: I don’t believe anything the government tells me. Sooner or later the people in this country are going to realize: the government does not give a fuck about them. The government doesn’t care about you, or your children, or your rights, or your welfare, or your safety. It simply doesn’t give a fuck about you. It’s interested in its own power. That’s the only thing keeping it and expanding it wherever possible.”

To use the word corruption is unchallengeable, when any government pays media outlets to propagandise the public — with the same outlets untruthfully claiming to be independent and trustworthy — while basically being bribed to follow a far-Left agenda. That this should happen in not (quite yet) a totalitarian régime, but in what was once thought of as a democracy, with a free press, is quite staggering.

  17. A KEA walks into a pub and orders a pint of beer and a ham sandwich.
The barman looks at him and says,
    “Hang on! You’re a duck.”
“I see your eyes are working,” replies the duck.
“And you can talk!” Exclaims the barman.
“I see your ears are working, too,” says the duck.
“Now if you don’t mind, can I have my beer and my sandwich please?”
    “Certainly, sorry about that,”
Says the barman as he pulls the duck’s pint.
“It’s just we don’t get many ducks in this pub. What are you doing around this way?”
“I’m working on the building site across the road,” Explains the duck.
    “I’m a plasterer.”
The flabbergasted barman cannot believe the duck and wants to learn more, but takes the hint when the duck pulls out a newspaper from his bag and proceeds to read it.
So, the duck reads his paper, drinks his beer, eats his sandwich, bids the barman good day and leaves.
The same thing happens for two weeks.
Then one day the circus comes to town.
The ringmaster comes into the pub for a pint and the barman says to him
“You’re with the circus, aren’t you? Well, I know this duck that could be just brilliant in your circus. He talks, drinks beer, eats sandwiches, reads the newspaper and everything!”
“Sounds marvellous,” says the ringmaster, handing over his business card.
“Get him to give me a call.”
So the next day when the duck comes into the pub the barman says,
“Hey Mr Duck, I reckon I can line you up with a top job, paying really good money.”
“I’m always looking for the next job,”
    Says the duck.
    “Where is it?”
    “At the circus,”
    Says the barman.
    “The circus?”
    Repeats the duck.
    “That’s right,”
    Replies the barman.
    “The circus?”
    The duck asks again.
    “With the big tent?”
    “Yeah,” the barman replies.
“With all the animals who live in cages, and performers who live in caravans?” says the duck.
    “Of course,” the barman replies.
“And the tent has canvas sides and a big canvas roof with a hole in the middle?” persists the duck.
    “That’s right!” says the barman.
The duck shakes his head in amazement, and says .. . ……
“What the fuck would they want with a plasterer??!”😂

  18. National leader Judith Collins has welcomed news the Government is on the verge of ordering booster shots of the Covid vaccine.

But she said lessons should be learned to ensure New Zealand was not left again with a slow vaccine rollout – and even suggested a law change could be used to speed up vaccine ordering if required.

Collins said the party was “very supportive of boosters being identified and ordered”.

But she said the Government had questions to answer about why it was able to begin ordering boosters of the Novavax vaccine before Medsafe had fully approved it.

“It is absolutely important that the Government learns from mistakes of the slowness of their response to ordering the vaccines,” Collins said.

Unlike the Pfizer, Moderna, and Astra Zeneca vaccines, Novavax has not yet been approved in New Zealand – although it almost certainly would be by the time the vaccines arrived in the country next year.

      • Yes I have a lot less hesitancy around this vaccine than the others ( that are not actually vaccines). For one thing they seem to have had fewer side effects and it doesn’t fuck with your cells. Anyway I will continue using Ivermectin in the interim and continue doing so even IF I get this one.

        • Ivermectin appears to be rapidly disappearing or disappeared from vet supplies. Seems likely the government is involved so best conserve your stock for when covid is actually a risk in the community. I am keeping mine to take at the first sign of flu like symptoms and will continue with the vitamin and zinc cocktail I have been taking for the past 18 months as prophylaxis.
What we need now is some enterprising gang to start importing the stuff, it could be a useful sideline along with the guns and other drugs 🙂

      Her comment that ‘…The party was “very supportive of boosters being identified and ordered” has effectively lost my vote;

I expect ‘difference’ from whatever (supposedly) Conservative opposition which might be on the benches in this country, but what I get from the Nats is complete and utter CONFORMITY, specifically conformity with the practices and ultimately of the ideologies of a totally out-of-control totalitarian socialist regime that is destroying our country by the minute.

I wonder how many losses it will take before the Nats finally wake up? Methinks it might be several.

Unfortunately ACT, in espousing the same principles and agenda is no different.

  19. Friend Roger has been at his keyboard again this morning and produced this rather good open letter to all our politicians:

Pfizer can expect to get from the NZ taxpayer some 300 million to 400 million NZ dollars for its untested vaccine. Quibble about the exact numbers of dollars if you like.

Pfizer has a long list of criminal and civil convictions relating to its drug business.
Ivermectin is currently the drug which could replace the Pfizer vaccine. It has been tested in numerous places by numerous authorities and found to be effective for both the treatment and prophylaxis of covid19.

Pfizer has a vested interest in ensuring that Ivermectin is not prescribed by NZ GPs.

Until the last days of last month there was a Medsafe page relating to STROMECTOL which is the vendor’s name for the generic Ivermectin. The page was created 0n 18-08-2005, SIXTEEN years ago. It was prescribed as a prescription drug. Its uses, the manufacturer etc were listed. Covid was not mentioned anywhere on that page. There was no reference to any virus. For SIXTEEN years it could be prescribed by any GP.

A few days ago the page was replaced by anti Ivermectin material obviously designed to deter any GP from prescribing Ivermectin in any form. Ivermectin is also used in veterinary medicines. It is vanishing rapidly. Clearly veterinary suppliers have been told to take it off the market.

I suggest that there is a connection between the money that Pfizer stands to make from the NZ taxpayer and the removal of Ivermectin from the market.

YOU, as MPs, are in a position to ask how and why. It is your DUTY to do so.

  20. This is a good article looking at the state of our world – and politics from a self-actualisation perspective, i.e. the complete opposite of what politics has become!

    From the article:
“It takes a lot to create good healthy self-actualizing politics. It takes an informed population, an educated population, people who care about the quality of the governance, who will speak up about injustices. When we put these ideas together— whether it is for a family, a business, a nation— they describe human relationships. How we think, feel, talk, and act with each other.

Good people: Intelligent, caring, open, transparent, collaborative individuals.
Good ideas: Intelligent understanding about how things work.
Good strategy: Effective processes for how to make things work efficiently for all.
Good governance: Effective management of the processes that builds trust and respect.
Good accountability: Holding those in charge accountable to their responsibilities and duties.”

  21. I’m looking forward to getting Aotearoa fully vaccinated, so I can sit back and laugh as covid ploughs ahead.

Of course we will need a constant battery of shots going forward, for every new flu medical people identify. Remember Sara, bird, swine and so on? Well you be forced to be injected for all such things now.

  22. Covid-19 Minister Chris Hipkins says the Government’s bold “reopening” plan for the world will have to be completely reworked in the light of the new outbreak.

Well that aged well. They only released it a month ago. So what’s changed?

  23. The Abos have reached out to me for help. They’ve had enough of Mikey and his drunken behaviour. He gropes the men and women, but mostly men, and drinks all the grog. They want him off the reservation.

They have asked if we could start a Give a Little page to send him home to NZ?

    • …..”Cafe that prioritised seating for women gone woke gone broke and out of business.”……

Hmmm. A vegan cafe selling crap food which alienates half of its potential customers isn’t profitable.

There must be a reason for its failure but I just can’t put my finger on it. 🙂

  24. This is a good one. How many NZ “journalists” could it apply to?

“Of course Rachel Maddcow piled too on but she is bullet-proof when it comes to being sued:

Maddow’s “I’m Not a Real Journalist” Defense Prevails in Court

By Mike Cernovich Leave a Comment

Any belief that Rachel Maddow is a journalist was set to rest in a San Diego federal courtroom on Friday, with a federal judge dismissed a defamation lawsuit brought against Maddow. The judge concluded that Maddow was far too silly to be taken as a credible news source.

The lawsuit against Maddow was brought by OANN, a news network that Maddow falsely accused on her show as being controlled by the Kremlin.

For the lawsuit to go forward, OANN would had to have shown that Maddow’s show stated facts rather than opinions.”

In respect of Maddow (And although it was inspired by the ‘media-assisted’ suicide of Admiral Michael Doran USN), this song by the Monkees is still very relevant; nothing has changed.

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1SUIDqLFeU

I have also included the lyrics

      Admiral Mike

      The Monkees

You’re selling ads you slimy toad
Don’t smile at me and shake my hand
      You’re killing me
      You’re killing us
      Because you’re only
      ‘Only selling ads’

You’re selling ads you stupid twit
The naked lunch is on your knife
      The homicides are suicides
      Because you’re only
      ‘Only selling ads’

      Your copy kills
      Your copy smells
Realities are crushed beneath the ads your copy sells
Go back to hell you giddy fools
There is no truth you cannot maim
      He killed himself
      You killed him first
      Because you’re only
      ‘Only selling ads’

      Your copy kills
      Your copy smells
Realities are crushed beneath the ads your copy sells
You’re selling ads you slimy toad
Don’t smile at me and shake my hand
      You’re killing me
      You’re killing us
      Because you’re only
      ‘Only selling ads’

Because you’re only ‘only selling ads’
Because you’re only ‘only selling ads’
Because you’re only ‘only selling ads’

  25. Google it. That’s the nub of the official response back from ardern’s office about the information they have that proves masks can stop the spread of the supposed SARS Cov-2 virus.
“DPMC holds no information relevant to this request beyond what is publicly available.”
The state is frightening the populace to the point of madness (solo walk on the beach in the wind with a paper mask anyone?) and yet they hold ZERO scientific, medical, or anecdotal evidence proving the efficacy of face diapers.
The PM’s office suggests we try the WHO’s website and “publicly available academic papers”.

  28. This won’t make kiwis happy

Shop shelves could be empty come Christmas as shipping delays, costs balloon out of control
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2021/09/shop-shelves-could-be-empty-come-christmas-as-shipping-delays-costs-balloon-out-of-control.html

“We were paying anywhere from $2000 to $3000 a container and paying sometimes in the vicinity of $20,000-$25,000 a container now and it continues to go up,” he told Newshub.

Now there’s a second price tag added to the shipping – the first of the large shipping lines, ANL Singapore, has added a peak season surcharge – a cool $300-$600 – on containers arriving in New Zealand from China.

Then there also are the delays. The problem is New Zealand is geographically at the bottom of the shipping food chain.

    • Good for people who make things locally.
      Better for our landfill.
Nothing like upping the price to stop the waste.
The charity stores will sell more clothes.

      Other problem is the shortages.
Go buy yourself a bottle of engine oil. One major company has run out and another is finding the price rise on shipping going to make huge price increase. Was $1500 from Singapore now $6k.

Oh and we are closing our refinery.

  29. Canterbury dairy company set to axe 150 jobs

Canterbury dairy company Synlait Milk is looking to axe about 150 jobs as it moves to restructure its business.
Chief executive John Penno said the move is not just about cost savings but a complete reorganisation and change of the way the company works.

The company employs about 1000 workers and the aim is to cut about 15 percent of the workforce, which will save between $10 million and $12 million a year.

  30. RB still fiddling around the edges while NZ falls into stagflation.
They don’t have the courage to lift the OCR and so we all will suffer.Pathetic interventions will result in those who need housing won’t be ble to afford them.
Speculation is running riot ,house and land prices likewise .Capital flows are going into speculation rather than productivity. There is a shortage of goods to spend all the free money on.
So plenty of money plus a shortage of goods = inflation or more likely stagflation.

NZ needs the integrity of sound monetary policy!
