Note that if he doesn’t get in on the list from his position of 30, he’s going to remain in Vietnam. If his heart was really in it, he’d be back here pursuing his new career in politics. Any why Labour – heads up KPMG in SE Asia. Doesn’t make sense.

As Maori is one of the very few Languages, along with Italian and Telugu that end each word in a Vowel. Of course I am Frothing at the Bung with excitement over Maori Language week for the entire month. At the moment I have mastered two new Maori words.

They are “Fucka Offa”

These words are fresh out of the Word Invention Office of the Maori Language Commission and I am pleased to advise New Zealanders that your heard them first on YSB.

This is from an article published in the Ashburton Guardian in January 2000 (26+ years ago).

Those who pontificate that all New Zealand’s ills may be laid at the feet of the World Economic Forum’s Globalist poster child Jacinda Kate Laurel Ardern may care to read this:

THE GREAT DIVIDE IN NEW ZEALAND:
A correspondent from New Zealand sent us a full-page article from The Ashburton Guardian (4/1/2000).
New Zealand has had a GST for a number of years. It has not solved their problems.
Extracts from the article, which drew on a report, “New Zealand Now”, from Statistics New Zealand, said:
” ….Those on highest incomes did best during the ‘economic reforms’ by successive Governments since 1983. The average real disposable income of the top 10 per cent rose from $62,000 in 1982 to $82,000 in 1996, an increase of nearly a third.
The poor just got poorer, with average income of the bottom 20 percent falling four percent during the same period, with the bottom 10 per cent averaging an income of little more than $11,000 a year.
Middle income groups – those with 1982 salaries between $25,000 and $30,000 – saw their income drop by 9 per cent and 7 per cent.
As the majority of New Zealanders earned below $30,000, most were losers in the great experiment ….”

Other facts included:

  • The number of violent crimes reported to police has almost doubled over the past decade.
  • This year (1999) the British Home Office ranked New Zealand second only to South Africa, ahead of Canada, Australia and the United States, for non-fatal violent crime.
  • Almost 25 percent of New Zealand children have no parent in paid work, up from 14 percent in 1986.
  • In the 1996 Census 1,684,815 people said they belonged to one of New Zealand’s four main churches – Anglican, Catholic, Presbyterian and Methodist. That was down from 1,911,204, a drop of 11.8 percent, on the 1991 Census.
  • The number of Buddhist, Hindu and Muslims doubled in the period.

NOTE AGAIN
This was published in January 2000.

Imagine my surprise!

BREAKING NEWS: The Sudanese Australian lady who recently declared on prime time Australian TV that white Australians have no culture is in fact the daughter of a Sudanese war lord who abducted and enslaved hundreds of child soldiers and dozens of them died of starvation.

Australian state broadcaster ABC selected her to speak for the pro-migration side in a national migration debate.

She is the daughter of Sudanese warlord William Nyuon Bany – I found these detailed descriptions of his war crimes in a Human Rights Watch report from 1995.

This opinion piece by one Greg Thomas, which appeared in my FB page this morning, might be of interest

Make of it as you will.

‘MAORI LANGUAGE WEEK DIDN’T HIT THE POPULARITY MARK

The Case for Reforming Public Infrastructure and Re-establishing General Law in New Zealand

A significant viewpoint within New Zealand argues that the integration of Maori culture, language initiatives like Maori Language Week, and co-governance principles into public services has fractured national unity and subverted democratic processes. This perspective holds that under the Labour administrations of Jacinda Ardern and Chris Hipkins, substantial structural reforms—specifically across water infrastructure and the healthcare system—were introduced without a clear mandate from the New Zealand majority. These changes are viewed as an attempt to establish separate administrative tracks that undermine standard democratic representation.
From this standpoint, the era of negotiating special provisions or separate institutional pathways is over, and the focus must shift entirely to the strict enforcement of a single system of general law. Proponents argue that New Zealand must be governed by a uniform legal framework that applies identically to every citizen, completely removing ethnicity from legal, structural, or state frameworks. Under this model, frameworks that grant distinct institutional rights or authority based on ancestral status would be dismantled in favour of unified public systems.
Furthermore, this position asserts that it is not the responsibility of the state to mandate or fund cultural preservation through public institutions, state-funded media, or government agencies. Instead, cultural and linguistic traditions belong strictly within private family homes and specific communities. Critics of the current system express concern that public broadcasting and middle management within state institutions have become ideologically driven, leading to biased reporting that forces specific cultural concepts onto the public without broad consent. The core of this argument is that public resources and state infrastructure must focus solely on core general functions under one law for all New Zealanders’.

I think we are losing a very good Minister in Brooke Van Veldon. Here she is again pulling no punches.

https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/emergencies_national/1437197/fenz-minister-brooke-van-velden-questions-ceo-over-withheld-information

I call BS on the FENZ spokesperson

….A FENZ spokesperson clarified to RNZ that the original incident, not Gregory, had been referred to the Serious Fraud Office.
“The matter referred to is historical, from prior to 2021, and relates to Fire and Emergency’s administration of the levy scheme.
“Fire and Emergency has proactively referred the matter to the SFO and it is now with them to consider.”

While it might be true that the CEO was not referred to the Serious Fraud Office , how come it has taken until now for something that occurred prior to 2021 to come to light ( I am assuming the problem was referred to the SFO around 2021) ? The CEO is responsible and like others he is probably paid a huge salary for that responsibility. But we can guarantee there will be no accountability.

Two German regional elections this weekend are expected to bring more gains for a far-right party, and could determine whether Chancellor Friedrich Merz can hold on to power and push ahead with reforms to Europe’s biggest economy.
Merz’s authority was damaged by his party’s stinging defeat September 6 at the hands of the anti-migration, Russia-friendly Alternative for Germany in Saxony-Anhalt, a small eastern state. Alternative for Germany, or AfD, finished just short of a majority there and has its best chance yet of forming the country’s first far-right regional government since World War II.
Merz, 70, became Germany’s leader 16 months ago with promises to turn around an economy that has barely grown in years, but has failed to lift a sullen national mood and has himself become deeply unpopular.
On Sunday, two more states hold elections: Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, another largely rural region in the formerly communist and less prosperous east; and the capital, Berlin.
more

https://www.stuff.co.nz/world-news/361034375/future-germanys-leader-uncertain-his-party-face

Merz said last week that “giving up is not an option for me.” But the CDU’s deputy local leader in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania called for him to go, and speculation has mounted that he might soon be replaced — although no top-level allies have called publicly for his departure, and many have warned against “personnel debates.”

I see the left-right divide in very simple terms. Left = collectivism and subordination of one’s rights to those of the group or state, and a large state if there is one.

Right = individualism and individual liberties, along with a minimal or no state.

Based on my definition, the left is always going to be the totalitarians given its collective nature.

The Nazis controlled production and squashed individual rights – that ain’t right wing and never was.

In communism all property & economic resources are owned by the state. Under socialism major industries are state controlled but private businesses & property ownership are permitted.

Nazism flourished in a Germany left economically devastated by reparations set by the Treaty of Versailles. Industry was still owned by wealthy German (and American) institutions. The socialism introduced by Hitler was more of road to control of the populace than an economic doctrine.

The communist, marxists & unionists were treated as vermin because they advocated a different way forward. Socialism, because it invariably becomes totalitarian in nature, doesn’t encourage tolerance.
