For DL it was NEVER about ‘flattening the curve’, and ALWAYS about the imposition of Communisim. Where previously it had been by ‘stealth’ (Softly, softly etc.) the virus gave her the perfect (although unintended) opportunity to fast-track the process and to do it in the open and quickly to ‘Save the Team of Five Million’ and to push the ‘I know what is good for you because I care’ narrative.

So far (and with the complete co-operation of both the MSM AND the opposition political parties) it seems to be working quite well…

As Communism becomes very aggressive one it is entrenched, I suspect that we have seen absolutely nothing yet and that we should start preparing for a definite ‘winter of discontent’. Such is the Communist way…

      • Not so far by the lengths of queues of willing participants lining up. I wonder if it would make a difference to their compliance if they knew the jabs are a well paid money making scheme for the jabbers. Roll up, roll up, yes of course it is safe deary!

      • Youve just got to look at jacindas wording of her messages. She only ever mentions reducing restrictions never removing restrictions or going back to pre covid freedoms.
Eg. “If we get atleast 90% of the countty vaccinated then some restrictions will ease” and then no mention of what restrictions will ease its just an empty bribe with moving goal posts.

      • I’m not sure it will be her downfall. Those of a certain age will remember the documentary about the lemmings who supposedly threw themselves off cliffs due to population pressure. Well this is the same phenomenon in my opinion. Historians, if any are allowed in our totalitarian future, will write the events of recent times up as the greatest incidence of national suicide brought on by an evil government and controlled media’s fear induced mass psychosis in history.

        • When I was on my UK OE in the early 90s, my UK based uncle had a computer game, Lemmings. Great game (I think we were supposed to save the lemmings, from memory). As it was the early days of home computing, it was always a highlight of our visit “home” (we lived a 2 hour drive away). That and of course the home cooked meals and being able to do our washing, rather than going to a laundrette. 🙂

BTW Contemporary historians are already documenting the current events as such.

    • The Government won’t be able to confine folks to their barracks over summer months.

They will try blaming the unvaccinated and unmasked for the coming surge in infection, but as more and more vaccinated folk come down with the virus, folks are going to accept that they just have to get on with their lives.

We just have to hope that enough fellow kiwis start asking whether 2 years of lockdowns achieved anything useful.

      • Do you want a bet on that?

Events have shown that more than 50% of sheeple are compliant and in fact over 50% of sheeple are fully complaint with probably 70% either fully or strongly compliant.
This is not reflected in vax numbers as other factor apply such as inertia, laziness, unwilling to co-operate nor actively cooperate.
Fully 50% of the voting population voted for Ardern last October despite 2 lockdowns .

In Britain they had strong to notable restrictions until Mid July- equiv to Mid January here.

The poolice and army are active against the population so that precedent is here.
This is a massive psyop that is well planned (overseas) and effectively executed.
That is why the Welly dwellers look confused as they await orders.

You are underestimating the power of the Great Reset.

  2. Unfortunately I’m thinking that you are right.
Savage came close but this tart and her sympatheisers are well down the track.

Meanwhile in Victoria the arsewipe that they call a commissioner or something has referred the bashing of the old lady to their equivalent of the police authority here.
Well that will go well and the last report I saw was that she had died.

Melbourne, Australia. Australian Police attacking an unarmed 70 year old woman by slamming her onto the ground and finishing her off with pepper spray?
Well done to Journalist Marty Focker for capturing this footage.

With that footage, I would hope that the “gestapo shower” should be able to be identified?

This clip is well put together.. and has the right music track.
A lot of things to learn from Aussie Cossack 🙂

    • She is alive, even according to this police source, 🙁
Just in what condition, well I believe Aussie Cossack.

It is becoming Defund the Police, and remove those Pension benefits.

Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police;- SHANE PATTON: We’ve certainly tried to make contact with that woman.
We have made contact with a family member.

At this stage, she hasn’t made a complaint, but we are following through and investigating that matter.
It’s very concerning footage, obviously, and it as footage that we will investigate fully and it will be oversighted by the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission.

LEIGH SALES: Is the force that was used there excessive?

SHANE PATTON: Look, I don’t want to speak about particular incidents, Leigh. That is, as I said, it’s confronting, it’s concerning, and it is something that we will thoroughly investigate.

I’ve had alarming reports, police members getting threats, death threats, and we get those often and, unfortunately, it comes with the territory.

But we’ve had one police officer who has been identified and, for lack of a better word, outed and named in social media as being the police officer who was engaged or involved with that woman who was pushed to the ground.

The protestors, or the persons who have done that, nominated this police officer, have got the wrong police officer and he has been subject to numerous threats.

My advice would simply be, leave this matter to go through an appropriate investigation – it’s not appropriate that protestors or other people involved in that riot go out and name someone, and on this occasion they’ve done it incorrectly.

LEIGH SALES: Has that police officer been moved into any sort of protective accommodation or has he been given any security?

SHANE PATTON: We’ve taken assessments, as we do with all threats against serving police officers, but I’m not going to disclose what those activities are.

But I do reiterate the threats should never have been made in the first instance, but they’ve been made incorrectly, and they’ve named the wrong officer. So my message is simple – stop.

Changing the topic to “poor police” who with intent, sprayed all & sundry with tear gas, and as one has seen in many clips, welding their batons, totally indiscriminately to deliberately cause physical injury.
The trust is gone, the consent is gone for the police; as it has become a police state.

      • I watched Andrew Bolt talking about this last night and he had Steven Conroy (ex Labour Senator) on with the ex Vic Lib president guy. Conroy could only talk about the anti-vaxxers attacking the Police and “oh the incident with the lady was not good”. What a disgusting creature he is.
Yes some of the Police got attacked, but from I could see they were quite provocative. I do not think it will stop the rallies in Melbourne.

      • Lest we forget.
We had that here 40 years ago in 1981 Springbok tour.

I was not in the country at the time but was in a shower in a rugby changing room a few years later when I heard 2 cops/rugby players talking about how bad it was they could not do that anymore.
        They enjoy it.
Just as they enjoy the power at the border of Auckland lording it over people actually working, paying taxes and keeping the country running (sort of )
Truck drivers, delivery people, essential workers.
        Oh the power.

The cops here (NZ) will wield their minto sticks in a heartbeat.

        • Have experienced that in person at the Auckland/Waikato checkpoint. They literally make shit up regarding process or restrictions. I called out a very young policewoman who was trying it on as she had no idea what she was talking about; in this case that my essential workers permit “had expired” according to her. I asked her to show me where the expiry was on the document or prove the definition of essential worker had changed between restriction periods. She then moved me on. How many others would be cowed and turn back?

      • There were quite a number of victim blaming comments on the threads of the videos I watched. As in “the old lady should not have been there at a protest. She should have obeyed orders and stayed at home. It’s her fault.” More of the “Ok Boomer” troll stuff, no doubt. Same with the trainee nurse who got attacked and indecently assaulted. So sad our society has deteriorated so much – not just in the past two years, but it’s been building up for a long long time.

There are good cops – I know a few, but I also know that if things keep going the way they are going, the good cops would rather leave the force than be part of the corruption.

Data from a clinical trial examining Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine show it is safe and effective in children between the ages of 5 and 11, the company and its German partner said Monday.

The shot triggered a strong immune response in the age group in the phase 2/3 trial, according to a summary of the trial data released by Pfizer and BioNTech.

Approximately 2,268 children received two shots of 10-micrograms each. A month after receiving their second shot, the children had a SARS-CoV-2-neutralizing antibody geometric mean titer of 1,197.6, which was around the same level seen in participants between the ages of 16 and 25, who were used as a control group and given two doses of 30 micrograms each.

HMMM yes well we need 25 years to assess if the kids are damagaed in any way. Fuck the krauts.

    then they tell us this.
The companies also said that the younger group tolerated the vaccine well, with side effects “generally comparable” to those seen in the older group. Side effects seen after the vaccine include severe allergic reactions, heart inflammation, and fever.

There was no control group of non-vaccinated children, it wasn’t clear how many COVID-19 cases were seen among the participants, and the specific data were not released. Pfizer and BioNTech plan to submit it for peer-reviewed publication soon. The companies also plan to share the Food and Drug Administration and the European equivalent of the U.S. drug regulator. The companies are hoping to gain emergency use authorization for the shot for children aged 5 to 11.

  5. Alabama Saw More Deaths Than Births in 2020 for the First Time in State History
    By Zachary Stieber
    September 20, 2021 Updated: September 20, 2021
    biggersmaller Print

The state of Alabama recorded more deaths than births in 2020, according to preliminary data gathered by state officials.

“This past year 2020 is going to be the first year that we know of in the history of our state where we actually had more deaths than births. Our state literally shrunk,” Dr. Scott Harris, Alabama’s state health officer, told a COVID-19 town hall on Friday.

The preliminary numbers show 64,714 people died in Alabama last year, compared to 57,641 births. Much of the preliminary information comes from hospitals.

“We have data going back to the first decade of the 20th century, so more than 100 years. That’s never happened before, nor has it ever even been close before. In World War II or during the flu pandemic of 1918 or World War I, we’ve never had a time where deaths exceed births until this past year and it’s certainly possible that could happen this year as well if we continue in the same rate that we’re seeing now,” Harris added.

  8. Time to answer for demanding mandatory vaccinations

An employment advocate has told the High Court the mandatory vaccination order made under the Covid-19 Public Health Response Act was unlawful and went over and above what the Act ever intended.
    https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/mandatory-vaccination-order-under-spotlight-in-high-court

Ashleigh Fechney has been granted leave to appear in court on behalf of her client – a Customs worker who was dismissed from her job for refusing to get vaccinated.

Fechney said the vaccination order was an abuse of power under section 11 of the Response Act and the orders for mandatory vaccination were never an intention of the Act.

“The orders are too wide and go too far… it was never intended that section 11 would allow this,” she said.

Forbes-listed Chinese Magnate LOSES $1BN in Evergrande Panic

Chinese property billionaire Zhang Yuanlin saw his worth drop from $1.3BN to just $250.7MN on Monday, after his Sinic Holdings lost 87% before Hong Kong trading in the group was suspended.

To make matters worse, Sinic have a $245MN bond payout due in less than a month, as Evergrande’s seemingly inevitable collapse has destroyed investor confidence.

The demise of Evergrande has plunged the company’s Super League football club Guahnzhou FC into peril too, with the Guangdong govt and state-owned enterprises set to bail out the club that reportedly bleeds up to $300MN a year

DOLLAR DISASTER?! Treasury Chief Warns of “Economic Catastrophe” as Congress Prepares to Debate Debt Ceiling

The White House warned that a failure by the US Congress to extend the debt limit could plunge the economy into a recession and lead the country to default on its payment obligations.

“The overwhelming consensus among economists and Treasury officials of both parties is that failing to raise the debt limit would produce widespread economic catastrophe,” Treasury Secretary Jannet Yellen warned in a WSJ op-ed Sunday.

The warnings come as lawmakers appeared no closer to resolving a dispute between Biden, his fellow Democrats, and Republican lawmakers, who have declined to help lift the $28.5 trillion federal borrowing limit to pay for programs already authorized by Congress.

  12. Horse Paste. I spent a good few hours on the web last night looking at the availability of pure Ivermectin Horse Paste. Even international suppliers all seem sold out. The only stuff available has praziquantel in the mix. Anybody taken this combination? I know praziquantel is also used in humans to fight tapeworm, but I’d prefer the pure Ivermectin if possible. However if supply continues to be restricted ( or forbidden by the fucking government) a back up plan needs to be implemented. I know Alice has commented on this in the past and her insight would be appreciated. Cheers

“It’s not until a whopping16 paragraphs down that the real findings that Pfizer put forward in regards to children and the vaccine are even mentioned. What did Pfizer find in terms of how the vaccine affects children?

    Nothing.

They found nothing because kids weren’t getting sick enough from the virus to show how the vaccine had any meaningful impact on them:

Given how rarely children become severely ill, the trial was not big enough to draw meaningful conclusions about the vaccine’s ability to prevent Covid or hospitalization. Instead, the researchers relied on measurements of the youngsters’ immune response, on the assumption that the protective levels of antibodies seen in older people would be as protective in younger children.”

    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/lifestyle/2021/09/wellington-homewares-store-owner-says-sign-welcoming-maskless-shoppers-wasn-t-discouraging-mask-use.html
A Wellington homeware store owner claims they didn’t mean to discourage the use of face masks after a passerby snapped a photo of a sign saying they “welcomed” shoppers without them.

Wellington woman MaryRose Painter posted a photograph of a sign taped to the door of Johnston Street stalwart Cranfield’s, which states: “We do not discriminate. We welcome shoppers without masks.”

But store owner Nicola Cranfield told Newshub the sign has since been removed and its intent wasn’t to discourage the use of face coverings.

“We prioritise the wellbeing of our long-standing and loyal customers, some of whom have conditions that make wearing a face-covering unsuitable,” she explained.

    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2021/09/anti-terror-law-back-before-parliament-but-faces-opposition.html

But Green MP Golriz Ghahraman said the legislation needed a lot more work, time that was not allowed.

“Creating law like this, in a knee-jerk way, only leads to more ineffective law, so it has been a shame to see that that process be sped up.”

Agreement came from across the aisle from ACT leader David Seymour, whose party will be voting no.

“This is not the sort of legislation that should be rushed through Parliament, and ACT will be opposing it … not because we necessarily oppose all of the initiatives, but simply because rushing them through Parliament is a terribly irresponsible thing to do.”

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern insisted the proper time had been taken.

The only issue I had was Sharri said to Trump that gain of function research was restarted at the start of his time as POTUS. trump was quite correctly taken back but said as soon as he found out about Fauci’s funding he stooped it all. I have read in a couple of places that Obama removed the restriction on the research in the last 10 days of his time. (Obama had stopped it about 2-3 years earlier).

Other than that it is well worth an hour of your time. Also interesting was Sky ran it with no ad breaks.

    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2021/09/kelvin-davis-reveals-about-two-dozen-prisoners-given-bail-left-auckland-since-lockdown-began.html
Corrections Minister Kelvin Davis has revealed “about two dozen” other prisoners have been given bail and left Auckland since lockdown began.

It follows a remand prisoner being released on September 8, who went on to infect three members of a household in the Waikato. Newshub can confirm the prisoner is a patched member of the Black Power.

It’s unclear if any of the other inmates released were tested prior to leaving Auckland, or what public health protocols were in place. However, the Minster says people are released from prisons all the time and they have a right to go home.

    8

    • I see young Kelvin says prisoners are released all the time and they have the right to go home. Try telling that to all the N.Z citizens that are trapped overseas while people like the Mexican faggot and his boyfriend get in. Then you have all these sports teams and Olympic athletes and there entourages getting in not to mention Jimmy Twomums and his 14 hangers on swanning off to the second most covid infested place in Europe to further diminish our sovereignty in order to appease the U.N and some bullshit target that we have to adhere too. 20. It is all very cute for Barry Sober to write/speak a non-PTPM-friendly article in his radio show but why does he not ask these questions at the PTPM stand-up where a fair percentage of eyes and ears are glued; as they are in Home D and want the prison warden ardern to give them a clue as to when they can go see Granny.

    Not my eyes or ears.
    There is one every day.
If these questions are important why does Barely Sober not ask?
If he is being suppressed why does he not cover this in his articles?
Gosh, do we not have a free press in ao tea zealand?

Bitching about it when you are a ‘leading journalist’ is a WOFT.

There is no point in simping along to press conferences and not asking the questions but doing a bitch on-line or on the radio a couple hours later like you are a people’s hero.
The time to stand up is now. Tomorrow never comes.

Or is this just bloodletting for a bought and paid for media that NEVER ask the hard questions?

  21. I was phoned Sunday from a Govt line about getting double genetically modified .
Not just one, but two, like a double entry from an accountant!.
The number is 09 414 5828 for those who want it.
At least they did not block it or I would have terminated the call.

    3pm Sunday avo. Relentless.
That vaccinator is out there, it can’t be bargained with, it can’t be reasoned with, it doesn’t feel pity or remorse or fear, and it absolutely will not stop… EVER, until you are jabbed or dead!

The guy was quite reasonable. Surprised he stayed on so long.
Maybe they were recorded in order to prosecute me ….or terminate me; one way or the other.
    8 minutes.

I did point out there are more children killed by their own mother in New Zealand in the last week than have died directly from SARS COV 2 in the whole of this year.
    That threw him.

He had called me and said he would remove my name from the call list if I gave full name, DOB phone number and other details
I pointed out that as I had never dealt with these people before and they had contacted me I would not do that.
Therefore I may get another call.
They apparently don’t see the number in a robot call.
I pointed out the Nigerian phone calls I get normally offer a lot more than he was .

The outfit as per him https://whakarongorau.nz/
    Whakarongorau Aotearoa
I asked if that was just the name for Maori language week and they would be more normal next week .
That threw him a bit more.

No, the culturally apt name is their real name.
He had to look it up to spell it out to me as I said I would check them out.
    The website is ‘very ethnic’

He got the spelling wrong first time.
I did point out that it is not that important as Maori never had the written word so spelling is a bit meh.
With a bit of luck I was his most interesting and educational call for the shift!!

I guess I will get another call…. That vaccinator is out there, it can’t be bargained with,…..it doesn’t feel pity or remorse or fear, and it absolutely will not stop….

      • I spoke to my mate in the weekend in Sydney.
He is double genetically modified but the GF had the first genetic invasion and has been crook for 2.5 weeks so is now ‘vaccine hesitant’
I said nothing (out loud) on my end of the phone but expressed sympathy.

    • I got a letter advising me after telling the phone caller ages ago that I have no intention of getting the shot and so to take my name off the list. So today I got the letter, I have a vaccination number FFS What a huge waste of money this all is. But then when you are doing your level best to destroy a country and going about it with great speed, I guess money isn’t a problem. If you spend enough it will all be gone and literally you all will have nothing… I doubt that many will be happy though. I put the letter in the rubbish.

    • Thanks every one, as fore warned his fore armed.
Always try to get more leads, and thanks for those have too.

Some times in the past I make out that I am old & easily confused, & sort of a bit deafish.
Get them to repeat themselves, and as howitis did, get them to spell it out, letter by letter.
      Do remember to regularly thank them so graciously, for doing such a great job, (to egg them on their stupidity.}

Maybe ask them how come they got this number….
Was this another scammer getting collecting phone numbers.

Hope you are not looking to charge me for this call. Is it wise that I should talk strangers soliciting on the phone?

Is there such a problem from on the contact tracing system.
Did that nice man at the dairy turn your number in, and so sorry to hear that he must have covid.

It sounds very urgent so after this I will call the ambulance so they could take me to a testing place?

Just a pen & paper to note your musings,
I am sure many of you have more avid imagination to seriously waste their time.
Once one of us comes up with some ideas, others figure how to leap frog this even further.

A thread of comments on such contacts, will the be best medicine in laughs

The Dow might bounce back tomorrow (or not).

It’s hard to know when the market is turning. It’s very easy after the fact to look back at the chart and say “Look! That’s when the market turned!” And it is so obvious with hindsight.

But at the time, you really don’t know.

    • Although I seldom advocate violence or the threat of it this may be a time to consider the possibility. We as parents decided from the word go that our kids wouldn’t be smacked or hit. It wasn’t fashionable at the time (early 70s).

Anyway when the the elder girl was about six she came home & told the cook that she’d been hit over the hand with a ruler & was up to be strapped next time she talked out of turn in class. I was still stewing the next morning when I parked the loaded stocktruck outside the school & went to have a chat with the headmaster.

He was an arrogant prick but he was a lot less cocky after I explained gently to him that if my kid was belted I’d come back & break his arm off & stuff it down his scrawny throat. I think you may find that idealists become a little less idealistic when the consequences are spelt out for them in private.

        • My parents taught me to never accept lollies or rides from strangers. I think teaching this advice should be the first law of parenthood, and needs to be extended to “don’t accept drugs from anyone you know, if we’re not there!”. Sadly, though, too many parents happily let technology, school and the State raise their kids, as it helps them avoid responsibility.

I already know of people where one parent is for the jab and the other isn’t… awkward enough in broken relationship with shared custody, but even worse where parents are still together.

Telehealth Services is a private company, 50% owned by Pegasus in Christchurch. No doubt they will be profiting hugely, the telemarketers paid a commission, and directed to a vax service they profit out of.

    • I am a stupid boy @ 1.38pm.

To that I say, what is good for the goose is good for the gander. Get them to put their money where their mouth is.

Let the idiots vaccinate their own offspring and their own families first. This applies to the Vaccine companies, politicians and so on. And in the spirit of proper science, triple the normal dose. You would not expect a product to be fatal at x3 dose.

Then expose them to a high dose of Covid-19. Monitor them for the next 10 years. If any of them or their families refuse to be vaccinated, get sick or die, then the vaxx never gets certification.

  23. I’m beginning to understand how so many of our fellow commenters are being spammed by unwanted calls pushing Covid vaccinations. They originate from NZ Telehealth Services (aka Whakarongorau Aotearoa for speakers of Stone-age). Their website boasts of connecting with 950,000 individual people in their 2020/21 year with over 2,500,000 phone calls.

It seems that if you ring your Doctors surgery after hours (105,000 calls), Quitline 28,000 calls), accessed mental health nurses (81,500 calls), took part in national bowel screening, called a family violence helpline or used any of another twenty odd services the parasites have your number on record.

And they are going to keep pestering you. Today, tomorrow & forever!

  24. When your union bosses sell you down the river, you had better not complain about it, otherwise you will be magically transformed into a non-union “fascist,” “extremist,” or even a “white supremacist.”

CFMEU boss John Setka, who tried to calm the mob before retreating inside when violence erupted, said he believed the protest had been “hijacked” by “extreme organisations” opposed to Covid restrictions.
“Those drunken, fascist, un-Australian morons are the reason construction workers will be sitting at home and not getting paid for the next two weeks,” he said. Setka told the Herald Sun the violent protesters were “not really unionists” but “just the scum of the Earth”.

To a union boss, anyone who questions his dictates is a “right-wing fascist.” This should tell you all you need to know about the union leadership.

  25. https://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/uams-finds-potential-cause-of-covid-long-haul-symptoms/

Researchers tested plasma or serum for ACE2 antibodies in 67 patients in Arkansas and Oklahoma with known SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) and 13 with no history of infection. In 81% of blood samples from patients with a history of COVID-19, the samples had the antibody that attacked the ACE2. In participants with no history of COVID-19, no antibodies were created to attack the ACE2 enzyme.

“If we show that the whole hypothesis is right, that this interference of ACE2 really does cause long COVID, then it opens up many potential treatments,” said Arthur. “There are medications that should work to treat them.”

The next step would be to test the drugs that might relieve the symptoms people are having.

“Twenty staff at Auckland’s North Shore Hospital came into contact with a man who evaded hospital security staff before running into a lift, and has since tested positive for Covid-19.
The man breached the hospital’s level 4 visitor rules on September 16, bypassing front-of-house screening processes while staff were assisting another person and hid from security, an update sent to Waitematā DHB staff, seen by Stuff, said.
A “small number” of staff have been temporarily stood down from work after encountering the man, who “briefly” visited Ward 7 and the assessment and diagnostic unit before he was confronted by security and escorted from the building.”

  30. Great quote

““One of the greatest reasons for avoiding war is that it is destructive to liberty. But we must not be led into adopting for ourselves the evils of war in time of peace upon any pretext whatever. The word ‘civilization’ means not only peace by the non-regimentation of the people such as is required in war. Civilization means that officials and authorities, whether uniformed or not, whether armed or not, are made to realize that they are servants and not masters.

Socialism or overweening State life, whether in peace or war, is only sharing miseries and not blessings. Every self-respecting citizen in every country must be on his guard lest the rulers demand of him in time of peace sacrifices only tolerable in a period of war for national self-preservation.

I judge the civilization of any community by simple tests. What is the degree of freedom possessed by the citizen or subject? Can he think, speak and act freely under well-established, well-known laws? Can he criticize the executive government? Can he sue the State if it has infringed his rights? Are there also great processes for changing the law to meet new conditions?”

Now – who said this and don’t use google…. ( BTW 1st time I have seen it)

    • I consider Winston Churchill, first, but always have been a fan boy of his from a young age.
It has a slight American feel, but I know Winston knew the American democratic system pretty well too.
He has written lot s though

Nor would I be surprised if there is a connection to Ronald Reagan as he did considerable writing of principles, before he even became Governor of California.
I recall being totally surprised to read some of what he wrote, and could see he had done his home work, and his principles were then able to go on auto-pilot, during his 2nd term, after his life saving surgery after the attempted assassination.
No more putting up with the put downs about him by the media.

Then because of recently Donald Trump,,,
A johnny come lately, but when I started looking for transcripts, of his speeches, which really could see how the media took & twisted things.
Trump also made it fun to use throw a lines. 🙂
Media, social media, suppress what Donald Trump intellectually says, so it may be hidden some where, like eventually in a Trump library.
At this stage some unfinished business to be completed. 🙂

Possibly Dwight Eisenhower, same era as Winston Churchill.
What annoys me the most is the warning sounded about the military complex, & he had a point, but over pushed by the left, as they do not want their ivy towers, and influencing universities to come under scrutiny.

In this revolution, research has become central; it also becomes more formalized, complex, and costly.
A steadily increasing share is conducted for, by, or at the direction of, the Federal government.

Today, the solitary inventor, tinkering in his shop, has been over shadowed by task forces of scientists in laboratories and testing fields.
In the same fashion, the free university, historically the fountainhead of free ideas and scientific discovery, has experienced a revolution in the conduct of research.
Partly because of the huge costs involved, a government contract becomes virtually a substitute for intellectual curiosity.
For every old blackboard there are now hundreds of new electronic computers.

The prospect of domination of the nation’s scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present and is gravely to be regarded.

Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific-technological elite.

    https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/126446901/covid19-government-hikes-fines-for-pandemic-rule-breakers-to-12000

The Government has significantly hiked fines for people breaking lockdown or others rules put in place to stop Covid-19 from spreading.

People who breach pandemic public health restrictions will from November face fines of up to $12,000 while companies could be fined up to $15,000 Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said on Tuesday

It comes after several people abused their work exemptions to leave Auckland’s lockdown, including a couple who flew to Wānaka and a 53-year-old man who allegedly used a work exemption to travel to Christchurch to pick up a caravan.

…..”Auckland couple William Willis and Hannah Rawnsley, who allegedly used essential worker exemptions to travel to a Wānaka holiday home from Auckland are yet to face any enforcement action but police on Tuesday said their investigations are continuing.”……

So fines will be ratcheted up to a point where they’re no longer effective because few would have the resources to pay them. Yet the scum, privileged son of a District Court judge & his overeducated POS lawyer bird will walk.

More than 80 000 samples collected from Chinese wildlife sites and animal farms all proved negative.

…the international research community has no access to the sites, samples, or raw data.

The nurse has informed Mrs Rissole that due to COVID they may not be able to get an anaesthetist for her operation. Instead they may have to sedate her and if she cries out in pain they will give more pain relief.

Mrs Rissole is very stoic about it.
