  1. B G R. Unfortunately the last 4 years have highlighted that a majority of our fellow citizens are feckless cretins that swallowed hook line and sinker a talentless fast talking mildly good looking creature as the savior of NZ .
If not for the Christchurch massacre and covid the useless bitch would have been kicked to the curb years ago ,those 2 things completely covered up the absolute inability of this labour government to succeed at anything they started.
And I doubt it’s over yet actually as they spend 10s of billions on the unproductive voting bludgers amongst us who are now at a number high enough
to keep her in power for years.

        • I certainly wouldnt call her good looking, she did look a hell of alot better 4yrs ago after photoshop worked its magic but now they dont even do that amd shes slowly morphing/declining into a helen clarke

        • Whatever good looks her body may have had when she was younger, is immediately destroyed when she opens her mouth.

They say you should never talk with your mouth full, and her is always full of waffle.

If you read a sample of her parliamentary speeches / dialogue going back since she got into parliament, its full of filler and double meanings. As PM she has got worse in her attempt to be non-specific and non accountable, as she disguises her real agenda in niceties and drivel.

          • D H, very good post, 100% fact, I’m gonna screen shoot it and send it to the labour parliamentary offices minus any identifying text just in case the little piggy PM throws a tantrum and gets her personal NZ police force on the job identifying the Terrorist responsible for outing her.

      • Revtech120 can be excused, that photoshopping of the ugly bitch can work wonders. They did it with H1 and they do it with Dl on occasion. She is not looking good these days in real life though. She needs photoshop like most of us need oxygen.

      • Yep. She’s off on a one-woman crusade around the regions to try and get everyone jabbed. Sounds like she’s not getting the reception she’s used to, once she starts mingling with the hoi polloi.

      • ….the clown car’s fuck ups… Which is wreckage of the economy as they try to steer the economy and the public in the direction they have chosen according to their plan. So it is inevitable that things will not go according to the way the public think it should, as they never had any intention of doing what they say.

Tree’s, houses, child poverty, crime, harbour cycle bridges, Pike River, light rail, prosecuting sexual predators in the Labour Party, energy self sufficiency, Crime reduction, Health reforms, recovering from Covid, [insert latest initiative scam here] , etc are NOT things they actually ever intended fixing or achieving.

These are simply distractions to keep the bulk of the public thinking they mean well, but are a guise under which they can:

        (a) get their mitts on the loot, and buy / bribe / blackmail whoever they need to.
        (b) exercise maximum control over the public.
        (c) set themselves up as dictators.

If you think the failures are due to incompetence, you are mistaken. It is due to half-heartedness of those beneath them trying to do good, but without good leadership or support, as the leaders’ attention is elsewhere.

It was more important for the gangs to receive funding for a mock rehab program than it was to support nurses, despite the fact that they had pledged to fix the health system.

How different is that to promising 8 year old son Johnny shoes and a rain coat so that he can walk to school with out getting wet or getting cuts on his feet, but then going and spending that money on piss and pokies? Bad parenting and bad leadership go hand in hand.

A “vaccine”, that is not a vaccine, that shortens life expectancy, increases deaths, and will make you totally dependent upon continual “vaccines” and booster shots for the rest of your life.

What is happening worldwide with the contrived “pandemic” deaths created by mistreatment, using drugs that have a high mortality rate, and a “vaccine” that is not a vaccine, also with a high mortality rate, is not due to incompetence. It is due to self serving malevolence.

  2. Brief Summary:
The primary objective of this study is to determine the vaccine effectiveness of 2 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech BNT162b2 vaccine against COVID-19-associated hospitalization. There will be a large retrospective database study using two parallel study designs: a test-negative case-control design and a retrospective cohort design. Exploratory analyses of VE estimates by strain type will be conducted.

  4. “Dr. Lawrie stated the obvious in proposing its immediate use in the pandemic,

“Given the evidence of efficacy, safety, low cost, and current death rates, Ivermectin is likely to have an impact on health and economic outcomes of the pandemic across many countries. Ivermectin is likely to be an equitable, acceptable, and feasible global intervention against COVID-19. Health professionals should strongly consider its use, in both treatment and prophylaxis.”

Dr. Lawrie addressed the recent call for another study by Oxford,

“By calling for more trials on Ivermectin in the current health emergency, our scientific advisers appear to have suspended their common sense. Let’s not suspend ours. Ivermectin is the key to restoring health and economies. We have nothing to lose by using safe old Ivermectin to save lives in this dire situation. The worst thing that can happen is that the global population is de-wormed. The best is that the health of people and nations is restored. Better safe than sorry.”

Dr. Tess Lawrie has decades of experience in performing the technique of meta-analysis. The meta-analysis represents a pooling of multiple randomized controlled trials and deriving an overall signal. The meta-analysis ranks as the top form of medical evidence, and it even outranks the revered randomized controlled trial (RCT) that we have heard so much about. If the randomized controlled trial is the captain, then the meta-analysis is the admiral.

Then why exactly is Oxford University touting their upcoming RCT when the world already has heard the answer from the meta-analysis performed by the best of the best, Dr. Tess Lawrie?

Perhaps it is because Oxford, who famously backs the Astra Zeneca vaccine, has a financial conflict of interest.”

  5. Good morning every lovely person on this site apart from the troll of course, though he has been absent the last few days perhaps it is not well after the jab.
Oh happy days, there are blue skies here in Hamilton. We may get a day of sunshine.
The covering of faces is a huge problem Viking, no one can tell what you are saying unless your articulation is brilliant, no-one can see what your face is showing, sometimes a smile is all someone needs, impossible to tell with the nappy over your face. I’m like Mr McGoo in the supermarket as my glasses fog up and I can’t see a thing. The elderly in the rest home hospitals are not allowed to receive visitors and the people who bring in the food are usually foreigners (and thank goodness for them) but most cannot be understood. Poor old people at the end of their lives surely must be loosing the will to live, just like most of us in the locked up area. The stage of the masks will be far more problematic than plastic bags were ever. Bloody hell I could go on and on.

    17

    • I have been laughing at the mask system. If I go into a business in town mask donning is mandatory , if a worker from that business comes out to the farm there are no masks and we go into the house for smoko.

    • Got a 91 year old neighbour who is quite sick with cancer, wants to die and her and her hubby are struggling daily. No places for her to go so he has to look after her and work. He is younger. Not a lot of spare cash.
38 retirement villages in Tauranga and the burden of the ederly is just beginning on our systems.
Told Tolley that and that the council should not allow any more.
Its half the price to build here than it is in Auckland.
In Auckland they struggle to buy the land as well so all the old Aucklanders move here.

Causing all manner of problems for Tauranga.
Worse than ever as the age of being allowed into a village was raised a few years ago to 75. Our earlier villages used to allow people at 55. But they don’t make money from that. At 75 your time averages 7 years or less.

  6. Morning Troopers,

Well it appears the absentee Justice Minister has been playing fast and loose with the truth in his brain fart, stealth legislation to make commercial landlords responsible for the business issues of their tenants.

And why does the useless arse always have a spokesman/woman speaking on his behalf?

Auckland District Law Society challenges Justice Minister to withdraw statement on lease changes
Auckland District Law Society President Marie Dyhrberg QC is calling on Justice Minister Kris Faafoi to correct his statement suggesting the society provided “anecdotal evidence” as part of its move to pass emergency legislation on commercial leases.

On September 27, Faafoi announced changes to the Property Law Act which would “insert a clause into commercial leases requiring a ‘fair proportion’ of rent to be paid where a tenant has been unable to fully conduct their business in their premises due to the Covid-19 restrictions”.

The announcement was made minutes before the legislation was introduced into Parliament and caught both property and retail representatives completely unaware.

Faafoi has refused interview requests on the changes but provided a statement to the Herald in response to questions about why the moves were kept secret and what consultation it had conducted before making the changes.

“The understanding of the issues faced by parties to commercial leases is based on anecdotal evidence from discussions and correspondence with lawyers, including members of the Auckland District Law Society and the New Zealand Law Society, and correspondence from hospitality and retail representative groups,” Faafoi said.

On Wednesday Dyhrberg, a leading criminal barrister, said Faafoi’s statement was wrong. ADLS challenged Faafoi to correct his claim that he received “anecdotal evidence” from it before announcing a controversial amendment to the Property Law Act.

“No input or advice was requested by the ministry from ADLS, and accordingly, none was given,” Dyhrberg said in a statement.

While ADLS did meet with Ministry of Justice officials in September about its leases – commonly used and containing a clause which covers what happens when a tenant cannot enter their building – it appears that the society was not even aware that law changes were being contemplated.

“There were no policy discussions, anecdotal or not. The first we knew of the proposed amendment was the press release from the minister’s office on September 28,” Dyhrberg said.

“We are perplexed by the statement as ADLS was not asked to provide input to the policy as implied. The discussions the minister is referring to simply did not happen.”

The ADLS meeting with Ministry of Justice staff on September 17 was confined to the general application of the clause in the current Covid-19 environment, and in the context of the lease, Dyhrberg said.

“At no time did the discussion touch on policy issues, and there was no suggestion that policy changes were imminent.

“In fact, ADLS has subsequently learned that the Government decided to make the amendment to the Property Law Act on September 9 – eight days before Ministry of Justice staff met with ADLS.

“ADLS did not have any input into the policy that culminated in the proposed amendment to the Property Law Act.”

Dyhrberg declined to discuss the merits of the Government’s proposals, with the criticism limited to Faafoi’s claims about ADLS’s involvement.

On Wednesday evening Faafoi said he stood by his comments, but appeared to confirm that the discussions with ADLS were not related to its policy plans. “They were not requested to provide specific input into the Government’s policy.”

Asked whether he stood by the claim that ADLS provided anecdotal evidence, a spokeswoman said: “ADLS providing their account of the current situation with leases and the issues facing parties to commercial leases is what we would consider anecdotal evidence.”

Act leader David Seymour said the answers Faafoi provided to Parliament on the subject did not mislead the House but the Minister “carefully worded his answer to obscure the fact that there was no meaningful consultation”.

  7. Questions for the govt.
On whose behalf did you make a contract with Pfizer for the distribution of the jab?
Yourselves or the people of nz?
If the latter, when can we see that contract?
If the former, why can’t we see that contract?
Does the contract mention a bonus for the amount of jabs given?
Does the contract mention other treatments and does it disallow the use of them?
If so,what are the penalties if other treatments are used in nz?
Thanks for being the most open and transparent government ever.

    • The msm have definitely ramped up the pressure in the last week for people to ‘get the vax’. Expiry date for this batch is 3 Nov. • The Greens don’t actually care about genetically modified vegetables, or global warming for that matter. These are just convenient soap boxes to gain public support to get elected so that they can carry out their their socialist ideals.

Those that do care about genetically modified vegetables, are either out there growing non-genetically modified vegetables and food, or supporting the farming community that do. Most GM food initiatives come from imported food. I have no respect for Labour or Greens that are trying to get rid of NZ farmers.

If Shaw was a true green, honest, and true to his ideals, he wouldn’t be leaving the country, he would be using zoom. It’s hard to believe that he has any respect for the environment when he has an opportunity to demonstrate his values, but instead places personal gratification above showing respect for the environment. Either that or law breaking “eco warrior” conversations he is likely to have, need to be “off the record”. So much for transparency.

As much as I disagreed with most of what Rob Donald touted, I did respect him for living by his beliefs. He will be rolling over in his grave at the thought of Shaw pretending to be Green and caring for the environment while going on an expensive taxpayer funded fossil fuel flight. If Shaw is a leader and actually has balls, all he would need is one, perhaps two support people. He could condense the findings at the conference and provide cliff notes, Well, a good leader could.

A better leader, true to his values, would stay at home. Good leadership on values is always done by example.

      • A better leader, would stay at home!
Not bloody likely mate! Wee jimmy off Shaw is not going to forgo his jolly overseas, what with living the way he has become accustomed to with the 5 star treatment. You don’t get to rack up the most expensive travel costs by hiding inside and using the buses! Wee jimmys two mums can expect expensive presents from Harrods this year for christmas, that he would have picked up on the jolly as he didn’t have to pay for board and lodgings, which would be a huge saving. Hence the extravagant pressies!

      • Hi Thanks. I have zero confidence that the ministry of Education will make an informed, intelligent decision. They have Fuckface Hipkins as the minister. Unfortunatly most teachers will comply or are already vaccinated, so we wont have the threat of empty classrooms to force this issue. And the recent court cases don’t offer any hope either…..

        • ROL, its to “protect the children” so what about your protection?
Play them at their own game, EVERY kid needs vaxxed to protect teachers esp since many are aging and potentially far more vulnerable then the students.
Id also be telling them if an unvaxxed student gives you covid (even if you end up vaxxed) then youll sue the fuck outa them under H&S for failing to take all practical steps to keep you safe.

Vax mandates for all school kids will be a political hot potato and a step too far for many many parents so i suggest using that against them and forcing them to play their own game.

    • Good to have a Choice in the testing.

Just a pity we can not gain traction for Choice in prophylactics and some helpful protocols in that.

Should also have free debate for early treatment for “cases”.
Doctors in New Zealand, should know the protocols of well advised early treatments as put out by Dr, Zelenko, Dr. Peter McCullough, Professor Borody of Australia.

This is now a case for Nuremberg trials, for criminal negligence, malfeasance, that show up the ignorance of the arrogance.
A Court of Inquiry and some one, if he can be found, to be like Justice Mahon who can cut through the litany of politics and the medical autocracy.

We need discovery of the Pfizer contracts, of who signed on behalf of New Zealand, even more so, when mandatory vaccines on citizens seem to be putting into place.
How can these people have arbitrary power over the citizen, and rely on the authority of just wearing a tailored moneyed “white coat” which is no more than the glossy new clothes of an Emperor. 🙁

Duhh… obviously making the body create (live) fragments of the very pathogen you’re trying to protect against is stupid and very likely to be toxic.

I’m not a microbiologist, but even I can see the blatant insanity of this experiment. I saw through it right at the beginning and I’m absolutely amazed that the medical profession bought into this genocidal madness.

WTF has happened to the concept of rational thought in our world? Fuckwits.

Also how does one prove they caught it in the workplace? And if they can be prosecuted for covid in the workplace then why not for every other illness picked up at work?

  11. I’ll only post this once….
My youngest son (35) has entered himself into ‘The Fight For Life’ charity event and for the past month has undertaken some pretty intense training….it has seen him going on the wagon, something he should have done ages ago and he’s been feeling pretty good as a result.

Today he got a message from the organiser, letting him know that Dear Leader intends mandating ‘vaccine’ certificates for those wanting to attend/participate in major events and that he will need to submit to the shot if he wants to continue. The gutless writer states that they will be “following the advice and guidance of government”.

He has always been a risk taker with a devil may care attitude. He does not want to take it, but I’m a bit worried that he might just say ‘what the hell’ and go for it.

The irony of ‘Fight For Life’, wanting their participants to take a potentially life-threatening experimental inoculation…

Plenty of Indian copy shops around who are just hanging on and won’t ask too many questions. My wife is a graphic designer and can do it in seconds. Once you have a template it’s easy..the only hard part is finding a printer that can run 300gsm card. In this case you email it to the Indians and say you need a copy, they won’t blink.

15 officials in Nanjing punished for failing to contain latest COVID-19 outbreak
    By Global Times
    Published: Aug 07, 2021 06:34 PM

A total of 15 officials in Nanjing, East China’s Jiangsu Province, including a vice mayor and the head of the local health commission, were punished on Saturday for failing to contain the COVID-19 outbreak at the Nanjing Lukou International Airport that has spread to many places across the country.

After an investigation into the ineffective epidemic prevention and control at the Nanjing Lukou International Airport, the Jiangsu provincial Party discipline watchdog announced disciplinary actions against six senior officials.

Also on Saturday, following in the footsteps of the provincial Party discipline watchdog, Nanjing Party authorities disciplined nine local officials for ineffective epidemic prevention and control work at the airport.

Among the officials punished by the Jiangsu Disciplinary Inspection Commission was Hu Wanjin, a vice mayor of Nanjing, who was given an administrative demerit for ineffective performance in his management and supervisory responsibilities for epidemic prevention and control.

    it lists them all https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202108/1230812.shtml
Was wondering where the same investigation and punishment are for those responsible for the latest New Zealand outbreaks.

My guess is they’ve all got flights home for the weekend.

  15. colour me surprised.

The Government’s hand-picked Covid-19 testing expert has warned this outbreak will be “very difficult to control”, as officials consider a new “traffic light” system of restrictions for Delta’s spread.

University of Otago Professor David Murdoch, an infectious disease expert, said on Thursday there was a need to “up our game”, as he delivered a critical report saying the Government had failed to act fast enough on saliva and rapid anti-gen tests.

“We’re certainly at a different stage now, and it’s going to be very difficult to control,” Murdoch said of the outbreak, which grew another 29 cases on Thursday.

His warning comes as lockdown restrictions in Waikato were stretched further south to capture the virus’ spread, and Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern unexpectedly left Wellington for a hastily-arranged road trip to promote the Covid-19 vaccine.

  16. The Medical Council says there have been 23 complaints regarding doctors spreading anti-vaccination misinformation, as the group says it has “zero tolerance” for anti-vax positions.

Yesterday it was reported anti-vax GPs were hindering the rollout in Northland, where an essential worker has tested positive for Covid-19.

Covid-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins denounced anti-vax GPs, but said it was up to the Medical Council to deal with them.

Medical Council chairperson Doctor Curtis Walker told Morning Report on Friday: “I can’t speak about individual cases or individual notifications, but what I can say is that we very much exist on behalf of the public to ensure that doctors are practising safely at all times and our first concern to protect public safety.”

The council had “zero tolerance for anti-vaccination messages”, he said.

“We will consider all concerns and notifications that are made to the council.

“We will examine the circumstances of what a doctor has said or done, carefully consider their responses, for example, if they’re not going to do it again, or not going to post any more videos or promulgate any further misinformation.

“Our standard around this is that any advice provided around vaccination has to be evidence-based and expert informed and the medical evidence is that the vaccination is safe, effective and overwhelmingly supported by the healthy evidence, and certainly the best way to predict our whānau and communities from this pandemic.

Perhaps they will answer to the manslaughter charges coming up.

    • Zero tolerance for an alternate point of view about:
      [1] A vaccine that is not yet proven to work;
      [2] Has massive side effects and deaths associated with it;
      [3] Still has 8+ years (based on other vaccines) to go before it can gain approval;
[4] And where there is no published interaction list with other medications, foods, and conditions i.e. it is bend over and take one for the team, and don’t ask questions.

Regarding [4], Propofol, a drug used for sedation, has serious interactions with 170+ other medications as well as conditions.

Doctors are there to do good, and no harm. Any doctor NOT asking questions or failing to advise a client of the possible side effects is not doing their job.

Having zero tolerance for any discussion or points raised, or advising a patient of the risks, is bully and intimidation tactics.

      • I was appalled to hear someone I know with an ongoing pain issue was prescribed fentinol patches. She said herself they were far too strong and stopped using it after the first application. She said these patches are a real problem in the States with stoned parents dropping them where small children can stand on them – and they overdose.

This includes determining if a recommended drug o procedure is correct. This includes the Covid vaccine.

“Liability to workers required to be vaccinated
      (1) This section applies if a relevant body requires a worker to be vaccinated against a disease prescribed by the regulations.
      (2) The relevant body is liable to pay compensation to the worker for any injury, loss or damage suffered by the worker as a result of the vaccine.
      (3) The relevant body continues to be liable to pay compensation to the worker until the worker’s death, even if the worker ceases to be employed or otherwise engaged by the relevant body.”

This would fair put the wind up employers trying to outwoke each other.

      RoL would welcome this.

      • Most businesses have a policy included alongside “public liability” which covers any liability any said business may have to an employee. I don’t know if that policy would cover this situation, but it is up to the insurance company to accept the liability and settle in or out of court. Watch premiums go through the roof.

        8

        0

        • But would the insurers of said policy have an out against the employer about the process of certifying the medicene and the amounr of medical misadventures caused by the medicene etc and just tell the employer to take a hike!
Which leaves the employer settling in court for forcing medical misadventure or something!

          7

          0

          • I just looked up employee liability part of an old policy. I was covered for $500,000 for damage to an employee and $500,000 for legal defense costs. I ditched the policy as I let my last employee go a couple of months ago. I believe an employer who insists on vaxxing their employees is liable for any damage to them, then the policy kicks in and it become the Insurance companies problem. If they vaxxed of their own free will then it is not the employers problem.
Obviously if this law passes, employers will have to up their cover.
Note: I am not offering financial or legal advice yada yada yada.
It is becoming more undesirable to employ people under this clown car govt.
I believe the public service self insures so that means taxpayers fronting up.

          • After the Chch earthquakes, the insurance claim assessors we dealt with made it absolutely clear that within the tiny unreadable print of all insurance policies, the contract states that it is the responsibility of the insured (the policy holder) to ensure all risk of loss is minimised. In other words, the insurance underwriters will move heaven and earth to make sure they don’t have to pay out in the event of a claim. If they can find a loophole or out, they will, and the insured will be left footing the bill.

So, I predict that if an employer insists on their employee being vaxxed, and it all goes pear shaped, that the insurance company will find some out within the policy to not pay out, and the onus will go back onto the employer.

If I was an employer right now (haven’t been since the earthquakes) I would be going through my policy with a fine print, and also talking with the broker, insurance agent, or company, to get clarity – and also get in writing any reassurance they gave that this scenario would be covered.

As per Hog’s disclaimer: Note – I am not offering financial or legal advice yada yada yada.

He picked it up, flicked through the sheets of verbiage & after a 30 second hiatus said that in essence “it excluded everything & they’d pay out on what they felt like paying”.

    • Voices for Freedom discussed the Health & Safety at work with Sue Grey and Charles Tortise recently. Well worth a watch. Under the Health & Safety at Work Act, the employer cannot tell employees to have the jab because the government has told them to. Legally the employer has to do a full risk assessment of Covid and the Vax, etc. The employee has full rights to challenge anything they are told to do, if they feel it threatens their safety. Therefore the H&S Act can be used to expose the flaws in the government’s mandates, etc. Apparently Civil Aviation, Maritime Safety, etc. have not done any due diligence. Apparently no one has done any basic health and safety assessment. They all appear to be complying with Wellington.

Embedded in the H&S Act are “do no harm” and “if you make a claim – prove it.”

So if you’re being asked to do something that may cause serious harm to you, you have the right to challenge your employer. Your employer cannot respond with “the Government told me to do it.” They have to do their due diligence and prove what they are asking you to do, is eliminating or or minimising the risks.

And this is a consultative process which is ongoing until both parties (employer and employee) come to an agreement on whether the risk is eliminated or minimised (I’m paraphrasing what they are saying as I’m listening to the webinar. This is a must watch if you are an employer – or an employee. In other words, know your rights under law.)

The idiot Govt. keep heaping costs and liabilities onto business and expect them to suck up the costs. These costs will be passed on to consumers and a huge number of consumers (many who can’t afford to pay) will have to pay them or go without.

      • Sorry just looked at the link and it is in NSW, but I still see this govt. trying to pass any costs and many future liabilities of this faux pandemic onto employers. Ten extra sick days, testing costs to rapid test, MIQ costs where employees need to travel overseas, wage subsidy is an employee payment, no compensation for commercial leases (they want landlords to suck up half this cost), insurance, financial cost of capital equipment, rates etc.
There has to be huge number of bankruptcies coming up.

  19. UK is throwing open the door to travellers, eases restrictions by slashing ‘red list’
The British government says it will relax travel rules further next week, a move that will open up many long-distance holiday destinations to travellers for the first time since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic a year and half ago.

As well as dramatically whittling down the number of places from which travellers will be required to quarantine in a hotel, the government said it would recognise the vaccination programmes of dozens more countries.

In its most dramatic move, it said it will be lifting the hotel quarantine requirement for arrivals to England from 47 countries, including South Africa, Mexico and Thailand. Though the announcement only relates to England, the other nations of the UK – Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland – have generally followed suit.

  24. The World’s Largest 14 MW Offshore Wind Turbine Starts Operating

The Haliade-X 14 MW is expected to generate up to 74 GWh of energy per year.

The World’s Largest 14 MW Offshore Wind Turbine Starts Operating
The Haliade-X 14 MW GE Renewable Energy

GE Renewable Energy recently announced that Haliade-X 14 prototype wind turbine has begun operating at 14 Megawatt. The prototype has been installed at the port city of Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

Just 10 months ago, the company had announced a 13 MW wind turbine that could power a house for two days with a single spin. The recently announced turbine is an upgrade of that version and GE will now begin measurements of the energy it generates to prepare for its certification. GE’s Haliade turbine series was launched in 2019 with a 12 MW version and the company appears to have rapid progress in increasing its output.

“When we first commissioned our Haliade-X prototype in November 2019 at 12 MW, we made a big leap forward in the industry,” Vincent Schellings, the company’s Chief Technology Officer said in a press release. “Over the past two years, we have learned a lot about operating and optimizing the performance of our Haliade-X platform, enabling us to uprate the Haliade-X platform to 14 MW today.”

The company claims that a single turbine can generate 74Gigawatt-hour (GWh) of energy annually and will lead to saving of up to 52,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide a year. Bigger wind turbines are preferred in the renewable energy sector since they help in reducing construction as well as maintenance costs without affecting the output of wind farms. Each blade of Haliade-X 14 measures 351 ft (107 m) long, and the turbine stands 853 ft (260 m) high, New Atlas reports.

The 14 MW turbine has already been secured for a commercial installation at the Dogger Bank offshore wind farm, located 80 miles (130 km) northeast from the coast of England. GE has been commissioned to supply 87 turbines to the Dogger Bank C project, and when combined with its predecessors, Dogger Bank A and B, it’ll be due to become the largest wind farm in the world.

GE’s recent announcement makes the company the largest wind turbine producer in the world, but only for a short period of time. Last month, we reported that China-based Mingyang Smart Energy Group has announced its 16 MW wind turbine that is expected to be unveiled next year.

One expert calls the current supply chain situation ‘unprecedented,’ even when taking the Great Depression into account
With supply chain channels snarled by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, major retailers like Target Corp. and Home Depot Inc. are taking matters into their own hands, chartering ships to deliver goods in time for the important holiday season.

Retailers large and small, consumer packaged goods companies and other businesses have been impacted by COVID-related bottlenecks at the ports, manufacturing shutdowns overseas and other high costs related to transporting merchandise. Dollar Tree Inc. DLTR, +1.20%, for example, said that one ship was delayed for two months after a crew member tested positive.

Media silent on suffering due to political correctness

A group of Australian mothers, upset over ugly custody battles, have banded together to raise awareness of the growing abuse of the family court system by women against men.

Mothers of Sons, started by well known Australian feminist, media commentator, and now men’s rights advocate, Bettina Arndt, said she started the initiative because she believed it would be “comforting” for women with similar experiences to share their stories.

“I’ve had people of all sorts contacting me about these issues to do with injustice against men, and many, many of those are women, including mothers who have had sons who’ve suffered dreadful ordeals, particularly in the criminal justice and family law systems,” she told The Epoch Times.

As many as 20 provinces are believed to be experiencing the crisis to some degree, with factories temporarily shuttered or working on short hours. Shopkeepers were left to light their stores by candles, and there were reports of mobile networks failing after a three-day outage hit three north-eastern provinces.

“China’s latest measures to cap energy consumption have been widely blamed for causing the current power crisis, but the curbs more likely ignited a tinderbox of issues accumulating for months around soaring fuel prices and coal shortages, highlighting the difficulties in implementing energy policy in the context of a huge economy with numerous moving parts.”

  29. Fully vaccinated police officer tests positive after helping woman; 44 new cases –

A fully vaccinated Auckland police officer has tested positive for Covid after they and three other officers assisted a Covid-positive woman.

Police are reviewing how much PPE gear the officers were wearing when they dealt with the woman on Tuesday.

The four officers have been self-isolating following the incident where they were exposed to a person who subsequently tested positive for Covid, said acting Auckland City

The officers had responded to reports of concern for a woman’s welfare shortly before 1pm on Tuesday.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern visited Hastings and Gisborne on Friday as part of her local COVID-19 vaccination drive across the country.

“Every single vaccine counts – every single one,” Ardern said as locals pulled up to receive their jab. “That vaccine has just been the highlight of my day.”

Every single one added up to a lot on Thursday. Ardern was clearly stoked when she got the numbers in.

“Oh, good news… 82,000,” she said, as the locals cheered.
