        There is another problem with that narrative.

        Not actually saved, not probably saved, possibly saved.

        Covid-19 was tracking around the rest of the world for several months in the last half of 2019. And our government knew about it for at least 2 months, possible a lot longer.
        July is a pivotal month for the virus getting saddled up. The Wuhan outbreak was later, in October.

        Serious cases of Covid-19 arrived in NZ in 2019. In late 2019 health workers on the ground were noticing changes and a new as yet unnamed virus was circulating. So much so, that astute individuals went into preparation mode buying masks and taking precautionary measures.

        Just as the “Delta” version has been here for many months, and concentrated in Auckland, taking months to build up and propagate, it also tools months to build up around the world. It did not just suddenly pop up overnight on the world stage. “Oh but yes it can” they cry, “look at the Spanish flu”. As we now know that the Spanish flu was just like any other flu, but the contagion was actually bacterial pneumonia distributed in an untested vaccine derived from horses.

        Indeed our government also knew, triggering Robbo to borrow 19Bn to be spent from 2022 – 2024, well after the election on “shovel ready projects”. Who borrows money for the next term, especially when you are trailing in the polls?

        [1] In the three months from the the start of January 1,500,000 arrived from said overseas countries through our borders.
        [2] It does not take into account those that arrived here in 2019 from infected countries.
        [3] It does not take into account those that arrived here in 2020 from infected countries, with a “Are you well?” at the airport, or a scan with an IR thermometer which will only possibly pick up symptomatic infections during the peak of the virus.

        So definitely 1.5m, probably close to 3.0m, and how many actual deaths from Covid? How many? From Covid, not with Covid?

        If you visit the stats of Italy, one of the most infected countries, 3783 died, and they had a population of 59,600,000 in 2020.

        So one death per 15,741 people in Italy.

        For the lockdown to have saved 32,000 lives in NZ, NZ would have to have a population of 503,727,200. As I said on YSB yesterday, the predictions are at least two orders of magnitude too high (x100). Probably more.

        Even if you assumed that the inflated deaths in Italy of 132,161 were not in fact bogus, It would still imply a population of 14,418,777. Additional to that Italy, is 5x more densely populated than NZ, and as we know comparing Auckland to Christchurch, any virus spreads faster in denser populations.

        So the figures of 500million and 14million population estimates could be increased substantially.

        I do not know in what universe Shaun Hendy lives, but it is not our universe. Perhaps it is an online multiverse, or perhaps Simcity. Modellers have been known to use Simcity before. Totally divorced from reality.

      I recall this was argued about, I think in Nelson, but I can not recall exactly.
      The person taking this issue I think, still lost in his Court case.
      I feel it is a mixture of some laws, that at the end of the day some points have “no standing” in NZ courts.
      It may be useful in pushing people to think, to value some points, for freedom, rights, but that may still have to be legislated for in NZ Parliament.

      • Thanks S1, i was having a debate with someone who truly believes in it and that its our way to freedom from covid laws and mandates.
        I had serious doubts on it although there are valid points made esp in relation to what “birth certificates” really are. Weve been screwed bigtime but zero hope in hell of a return to common law.

With these jab passports the government will be able to keep an eye on/control the whole population which is absolute madness. The world is a crazy place and I see no way out of this crazy dystopian world we live in. For some obscure reason there seems to be huge support for that mad woman who is in charge of New Zealand and it doesn’t seem to be coming to an end. I cannot believe that after we have had so many brave ancestors we have bred this woke pathetic lot.

        I have a mate who manages a large overseas company…he is common sense driven, a critical thinker, intelligent and all round good bastard, yet he and his accountant wife are both double shotted. Both have no love for the Mad Queen, and are conservative in their views.

        I am at an absolute loss as to why he has fallen for the vax hoax. I haven’t asked him why yet, just waiting for him to arrive at his own road to Demascus moment. He couldn’t care less about whether I am unvaxed or not, so I guess I am reciprocating by showing that I couldn’t care less about his vax status. .

        I can only assume that his busy life does not give him the time to ‘waste’ reading and researching material that is hidden by his main stream information sources.

          Sadly there is a lot of that, even though they have good computer access.
          Even concerned about 3 waters, He Puapua, RMA, and up with the play, but not Ardern’s very skillful play, her ultimate game of getting the jabbed over the line, which ensnares some of them, then line up with vaxx passports, which is a little more tricky to get through.
          That is where Ardern shows her skill, as if it is not the ultimate game plan.

      Some one else may or may not take up the banner, as Ed, noted “Freedom” is what it is all about.
      No such thing as having just a little bit of “Freedom”.

      It is like Brian Tamaki, having enough gumption to start, to make a stand, and granted maybe not perfect, but has some skills, gift of the gab, and seeking freedom.

      The torch of Freedom is for many to carry, whether in relay, or until like in NSW, or in Chicago, 2 resigning police, make rousing speeches,

      The crowd, knowing there is a problem arise: the crowd wants a leader, that voices and articulates the important points & issues of freedom.
      It may take some sifting, to who may have that ability and rise to that call.

      If some who has the ability, like Winston Churchill, decried as a warmonger, won a war.
      Trump felt the call, and has showed up the inner workings of system.

      So it is our responsibility, to whether little or reasonable amount of energy time, & cost, to what banner we will march to & fly, For Freedom.

      • I follow the local Freedom Coalition FB page.
        They have had some big rallies and another is planned for Saturday.
        Numerous people have asked why Sat and Sun are not combined, and the answer is that Groundswell do not want to be associated with Freedom Coalition.
        I take the point that Freedom were originally focussed on Covid restrictions, and Groundswell is rural based but by now there is a very clear common enemy.
        I have had 21 November marked on the calendar for weeks, but I’m thinking I might throw my lot in with the unwashed on Saturday and let the Farmers do their own thing.

  42. FDA want to hide Pfizer’s Vaxxxxine data until 2076. This is NOT a typo. It wants 55 years to make public the 329,000+ pages of documents supplied by Pfizer to the FDA for FDA approval that the vaxxxxine is safe and effective. It granted approval in 108 days, but wants to hide the data that supports their “safe and effective” decision for 20,000 more days!

      You would assume that for Medsafe NZ, to give the Pfizer injection provisional approval, it would have been provided with the same 329,000+ pages of documents so as to make their own independent evaluation of its safety and efficacy. ….if not, then they have relied on the FDA bought and paid for license and have only been provided with limited trial data that they even admit is incomplete.

      When I last looked at the Medsafe site, it said Medsafe carried out no research of the data and relied on what was provided by the pharmaceutical companies,

      There needs to be Official Information requests made of Medsafe for full disclosure of what Pfizer has actually provided them with, It could be a back door way of getting data that Dr Malone and others can’t get from the FDA.

    Labour MP Jenny Salesa, standing for Speaker Trevor Mallard as Assistant Speaker or ‘chairperson’ in this case, called for a verbal vote on an amendment to the legislation, which is called a supplementary order paper (SOP), put forward by National MP Melissa Lee.

    “The ayes have it,” Salesa said after calling the vote.

    Salesa’s declaration clearly caught Labour MPs off guard, because it would mean that Lee’s proposed National Party amendment would go ahead.

    “Sorry madam chair, you said the ayes have it,” Labour MP Willow Jean Prime interjected.

    Salesa then changed the outcome.

    “My apologies,” she said. “The noes have it.”

    Willow Jean Prime then called for a party vote to clear up the mess. Because Labour has a majority in Parliament, party votes always go in Labour’s favour, and this time was no exception.

    But once again, due to its majority, Labour voted it down.

    “In terms of parliamentary procedure, I will make zero apologies for taking this seriously and in my 13 years I’ve never seen a motion to recall the Speaker voted down,” Upston said.

    “Absolute abuse of power,” she could be heard shouting.

    The 17-month delay in providing the information is another worrying example of how the Official Information Act is being circumvented. This information should have been released as per the law – within 20 working days.

    The final determination of the Chief Ombudsman, Peter Boshier, who investigated Newshub’s complaint, also appears to point to manipulation of the process.

    When the Ministry initially said it needed to extend the timeframe to respond, Boshier found the Ministry had already drafted its response.

    There were about 40-50 people holding signs. There was also about 10-15 protesters at a vaccination centre Ardern visited earlier.

    Groundswell NZ leaders have reacted with anger after Economic and Regional Development Minister Stuart Nash said the group’s website included anti-vaccine messaging and racism.

    Nash was standing in for Minister of Rural Communities Damien O’Connor in Parliament on Thursday when ACT rural spokesperson Mark Cameron asked whether O’Connor had met with Groundswell NZ leaders during question time.

    Nash said: ‘’I’m not sure what Groundswell stands for these days. They’re a member of … it’s a mixture of … well that’s based on what I’ve read on their website, and it’s a mixture of racism, anti-vax etcetera, etcetera,’’ he said.

  67. Went to the local Mitre 10 this morning.
    The place was being evacuated due to someone having a medical event. Three ambulances and police were there.
    Turns out is was a fifty year old staff member having a heart attack. Apparently, he survived.
